That was me, before i installed a blue light filter on my phone.
That shit works wonders, it starts at 22:00 and stops at 6:00.
Now i naturally get tired and not hyperactive in the night, so i sleep like a baby.
Heres the one i installed and i'm very happy with (it's in german tho), but all of them in the app store should be fine!
Hi. I have found the best way to deal with that issue is using this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eyefilter.nightmode.bluelightfilter
Then use the following settings:
Night mode lg g5 burn in prevention settings https://imgur.com/gallery/qXs7B
I can't even remember the last time I noticed any burn in after using that app.
I found a post which was very helpful to the burn-in issue.
Basically it suggests downloading this App to fix this issue. You set the intensity to 5% and the Temp to 1800K (The Candle) I have yet to try this for a whole day but after leaving my phone keyboard on my screen for 10 minutes, there was no burn-in! There is a slight color differnce with some black colors but after a week you should have gotten used to it. This doesn't get rid of the burn-in completely, but it makes it take a lot longer for it to occur and makes it a lot less noticable.
OK last thing, can you test apps like this one : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eyefilter.nightmode.bluelightfilter&hl=en
It has adverts but it might be better than nothing. Also generally, look up tips for reducing RSI. Specifically stuff related to eye strain. That might making your studying a little bit less strainful on your eyes

Try installing f.lux on your PC, it helped me massively with reducing eye-strain. It adjusts the brightness and temperature dynamically with the time of day, so it naturally dims and gets warmer as it gets darker. Also worth finding an equivalent app on your phone like Blue Light Filter
> If high screen time causes headaches
You didn't say if this was a desktop or a phone:
f.lux for desktop; it changes settings automatically if you let it.
Blue light filter app for phones.
Well, I had an Asus device before with an LCD (!) display which did not have a built-in blue light filter by the manufacturer and I didn't check my Samsung device for one because the first thing I did was flashing Lineage. On my Asus I had installed the following third-party app which worked quite well and really darkened the screen: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eyefilter.nightmode.bluelightfilter
And after some time the device got really severe burn-ins of everything I used longer than 2 minutes so I checked the ratings of the app in the Play store and found several similar complaints which was something like a confirmation for me and probably caused my "fear" of blue light filters.
usavo questa quando avevo il vecchio telefono e lo usavo per leggere manga. Quando ho cambiato ho smesso coi manga e mi basta il filtro del telefono ora
This.
I downloaded a blue light filter app from the play store ~1 year ago. I used to watch youtube for an hour or so every night. Once I downloaded it I could feel the difference in my eyes. I never really had headaches using my computer even though I used it for 10 hours a day.
If anyone is interested, the app is linked here - It lets you customize the time it turns on and off and you can also change the strength of the filter :)
I think I had blue night filter on android (it makes screen orange) plus the first filter I found on google app store
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eyefilter.nightmode.bluelightfilter
(Because sometimes even android filter plus lowest brigthness on android is too bright at night for me) so on that app I choose 'eclipse' (it should say something like color temperature 500K) and set it to ~60÷80%.
I didn't expect screenshot to have filter on. (Android filter doesn't get screenshot but app filters do, since they 'appear' on screen rather than.... idk lol)
I use this app! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eyefilter.nightmode.bluelightfilter
it has a lot of settings to change up the dimming. The best solution is to turn it off and sleep tho.
My Android phone doesn't have a specific setting for it, so I use "Blue Light Filter" https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eyefilter.nightmode.bluelightfilter&hl=en_US
Honestly 95% of the apps should work, though, but make sure it has an auto-start function when it boots up with Android or you'll probably forget
It maybe just me but using this night-mode app seems to have enhanced my battery life significantly ..
Thanks for the suggetsion, but i use this app which seems similar https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eyefilter.nightmode.bluelightfilter
Been using this app since someone suggested me to use, from android-apps sub. It helps but still can't look for long times, I get blinding eddect if I use any device for long.
Are you open to getting a new filter app?
Try https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eyefilter.nightmode.bluelightfilter
You can manually set on/off times, and it will automatically switch even if the phone is locked. Hopefully this means it won't give you the same problem?
And don't worry about the ads. They only show up in the app, or when you manually switch the filter. If it's automatically switching, you won't get any ads (no lock screen ads or anything shitty like that).
You can use a blue light filter to adjust the screen color temperature, this can also help to reduce burn in issues. The one I personally prefer is this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eyefilter.nightmode.bluelightfilter , no root required.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eyefilter.nightmode.bluelightfilter
This is the app I use.
I literally just discovered that it can lower the brightness way lower than the default lowest
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eyefilter.nightmode.bluelightfilter
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pt.bbarao.nightmode
Can't find anything for daylight, but you can turn on auto-brightness for a special outdoor mode if you have a Galaxy phone.
I've been having this issue with my G5 and the only way to slightly help is to use a blue filter permanently
Any night/screen filter app, like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eyefilter.nightmode.bluelightfilter
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sisomobile.android.brightness
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=info.papdt.blackblub
Don't try this one because it doesn't work: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.haxor
Here are a few suggestions to help.
- Set up f.lux on your computer to reduce the blue light from your computer screen: https://justgetflux.com
- If you have an iPhone, then use Night Shift (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT207570) to do the same for your phone. If you have an Android phone, then there are a few apps like this one (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eyefilter.nightmode.bluelightfilter) that can help.
For the next few days, get comfortable with the night mode as your screen will have a yellowish tint.
Pick one day early next week to commit to not checking the queue after a certain time. This will be your new boundary.
Try it out and see how it works out. Then try another day and another to try to stick to it. If you give in and check the queue, then don't feel guilty and pick up the next day.
Well, this App has a Night Shift Mode, which emits blue light. So it already has been done.
My phone did not come with a built in filter, I found this one works well and is customizable. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eyefilter.nightmode.bluelightfilter
I use this one.
Blue Light Filter - Night Mode
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eyefilter.nightmode.bluelightfilter
Use this night filter https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eyefilter.nightmode.bluelightfilter
I already use them, they're on the maximum allowed. I'm seeking for something like this Android app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eyefilter.nightmode.bluelightfilter
Have you tried this app? I used it when I used the Redmi Note 4pro https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eyefilter.nightmode.bluelightfilter
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eyefilter.nightmode.bluelightfilter works best on lcd screens
In my application I choose the color temperature. You can check this here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Color_temperature and my color temperature is about 1800 K. I am not an expert but more blue = higher color temperature. I use this application https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eyefilter.nightmode.bluelightfilter&hl=en_US
Somehow the app wasn't found. I have an app of this kind, too. It's this one:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eyefilter.nightmode.bluelightfilter
Its not like Blue screen filters exist or anything 🤷♂️
~~!LinkMe~~ Blue Light Filter - Night Mode
So that stops it from being able to download stuff like this?
I use this one... Works fine for me
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eyefilter.nightmode.bluelightfilter
