i dont know if this will help but after you record it theres an app i use to crop it and it is very useful
this is the app
This is the one I have now. I've switched around a bunch, but like if you can keep it below in that black section, it'd make it much easier to crop.
I also understand not wanting your memes stolen, which is why I can accept names put into memes. I can't really give advice on better ways to "hide" your name watermark, because I don't have practice with it. But the ones I like better are the sort of hidden ones, like attached to an arm and sorta see through, or the name on a book, etc. But that one isn't as big of a deal to me.
I'm not on OnePlus anymore but if you can't find a way to disable there probably isn't one. I use a little app called Video Crop & Trim which does the trick.
in the video editor category i would definetely reccomend crop & trim videos that is the only app that do not watermark my videos and on the contrary let me crop out the watermark that all the other apps put on it to self promote. trim function is also more precise than the top ranking android apps. in my opinion
when I saw this post the other day, I emailed these guys https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fnzstudios.com.videocrop and told them it didn't work with 4k, they just released an update this afternoon and it works now
I think an easy way out would be to record the videos in vertical position, 3:4 ratio to capture most of it. Then you have just use a PC software like Wondershare Filmora (I've been using this one, it's really easy to use) to crop your video.
All you need to do is, grab the required landscape scene out of that vertical video. In case you wanna do it on your Note itself, you may try this app
Also, you may be able to get all of that field by just recording in ultrawide. I know you mentioned the FOV doesn't matter but still.
if you are on Android like me, give a shot to crop & trim video app that can make the video crop work done in a matter of minutes. and is also good for youtube and snapchat since it covers all aspect ratios. hope this helps. my 2 cents
you can try editing the video with crop & trim video editor (link), i use it daily for instagram and works just nice. hope this help
inshot is nice, plenty of options. but watermarks the videos. to remove it in android i use crop & trim app that is really free and watermark free
Viva Video is a good app but it has the defect that put the watermark on my videos in its free version. but i found a way out (at least in android, my phone operating system) i process the video with with viva video maker then reprocess it with crop and trim video editor and i crop the watermark out. so that the video is perfectly clean and ready for the socials that in my case is youtube
they leave the watermark to promote themselves. is a punch in the eye and i am not the puppet of anyone with my videos and my followers. I just crop the watermark out with crop and trim app. is free and watermark free

Closest to something decent on Android is this. Not many options out there. Can be done on desktop tho.
