I use this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.thegrizzlylabs.geniusscan.free&hl=cs
Not sure about ads because I'm using system-wide adblocker, but it's really good at automatic scanning even in batch - you just point your phone to the scanned page and it will automatically scan, crop and enhance it.
I can confirm this worked for me with 3 laptops from between 2005-2009. One had windows on it, but wouldn't boot even to safe mode. They still took it.
However I had 5 laptops, but they only accepted 3 and told me that one could only trade in 3 laptops per 6 month period.
That said if anyone is not going to use there additional $75 coupon toward the Samsung Notebook 9 Pro and want to take time out of there day to scan it and PM it to me it would make my day.
Best of luck to everyone!
Can't believe no one has mentioned this yet (or maybe they did and it was hidden in a thread somewhere), but for me, GENIUS SCAN is a total gem. You take a picture of a document you need scanned, and it will turn the picture into an actual scan. It's absolutely brilliant and saves you quite a few bucks from having to buy a scanner. Great app.

You can use Genius Scan for that. It's free. There are other scanner apps but this one works the best for me.
I would favor something like Genius Scan, which seems more trustworthy.

Or the Google Drive app has a document scan feature. Or Microsoft Lens.
Not sure how I missed your message! Genius Scan 6 is now available publicly: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.thegrizzlylabs.geniusscan.free&hl=en&gl=US. Would love your feedback!
They didn't before, but after your comment I checked the feature list, and Genius Scan+ (one-time paid upgrade) does have automatic background export to any of the cloud providers you have linked to the app. So now my scans are automatically getting saved to my Google Drive.
Thanks for the question!
I have android and I use this Genuis Scan app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.thegrizzlylabs.geniusscan.free
it's basically an app that i take a picture of my drawing and it makes it a black and white pdf, as if i scanned it, then i email it to myself and it works great
As always, try the free version first. The deal expires in 1-2 days.
Genius Scan works pretty well imo.
I don't know about iPads, but Android phones have what you're looking for.

I used it often last year.
I use Genius Scan for this. Is CamScan better?
For mainly black-and-white printing, I'm with you, laser beats inkjet these days for sure. I honestly love my Brother HL-L2370DW! It prints quickly and quietly, sets up easily, and the cartridges last a very long time with the level of printing you're talking about. Being laser instead of inkjet, the prints are crisp, clean, highlighter-smear-proof, and (at the risk of sounding like the printer nerd I am) have that satisfying warm laser printer smell when you first pick them up.
It doesn't have a scanner, but I find the Genius Scan app on my iPhone to do just as good a job for anything short of archival photo scanning (for which you'd want a proper flatbed scanner anyway), so I really haven't missed the 3-in-1 style printer at all. The app also works on Android if you prefer.
On the rare occasion that I need to print in color, there's a FedEx nearby or the public library has print stations, or once in a while I'll print just an outline and use it as an excuse to break out my own colored pencils to have some fun with it. :)
Ich habe gerade mal Genius Scan auf Android eine Chance gegeben. Die Ergebnisse sind überraschend exzellent.

Are you on Android or iOS? It may be worth checking out GeniusScan if you're on Android.
Offtopic sort of, but have you tried Genius Scan?
Have a look at genius scan
My big one is Genius Scan : use it to scan documents or anything important or even not important just to keep paperwork organized. You can send it in a fax, email, text, whatever. I use it for a plethora of different things.
