The Pokemon TCG Online is on the Google Play Store. Not sure if it is the same you posted for PC/Apple but this one is a pretty accurate representation of the physical card game and has a pretty good tutorial. I've played the card game in the past (still have some) and I have played quite a bit of the online one so I at least have a small idea of what i'm doing. Should help op.
It is but they only allow it to be downloaded on Android tablets for some weird inexplicable reason, try finding an alternate source for the apk and it'll probably work anyway though.
EDIT: the url is https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pokemon.pokemontcg
> it’s coming to mobile soon
I see something called that in the playstore already. Is there a newer version coming I should wait for? :)
technically they did then they abandoned it https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pokemon.pokemontcg it doesnt support any modern device you can try to sideload an apk manually on android but it refuses to authenticate with servers and runs abysmally slow
It's just a little rough around the edges, but it's playable.
A big plus is that you can buy physical cards, punch in the code and get the digital versions. Unlike Hearthstone where you throw money into the void to get some digital cards that will be obsolete in a few months.
But it was available. That's how I got it. I just went on the playstore. Looked it up. And downloaded it. It's even where the app takes me lol here's the link. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pokemon.pokemontcg idk why I magically was able to do that but I was. I even checked it yesterday to make sure an updated wasn't needed before today in case it was going to be a seamless launch.
You can get the pokemon tcg game on mobile android devices - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pokemon.pokemontcg
I hardly ever play on it since the screen is so small but I use it to scan in code cards
It only officially supports tablets, which is why it isn't showing up on the play store. Visiting the playstore page will probably show you a message saying your device is not compatible.
However, I have installed it on several regular phones and it runs fine. To do so, visit the link below to download the app for your phone (use the orange download button). If you are on Android, it will download an apk file. Open the apk file and you will be prompted to install the game. You may need to enable installation from "unknown sources" (ie not the Google play store) in your security settings to get the app to install.

The app exists on the store but isn't compatible with my phone.
Downloaded Teppen which I saw recommended on here but it wasn't quite what I was looking for.

It's literally been on iOS and android for like three or so years.
Did you try the official Pokemon TCG?

Not a CCG but I think easier to get into is Star Realms.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.starrealms.starrealmsapp
Ascension is somewhat similar to Star Realms and is much cheaper to get everything.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.playdekgames.android.Ascension
Check out your friendly local board game store. You can get physical versions of Star Realms or Hero Realms. Also they may have a Pokemon TCG group so he could try the game out with other kids.
At the moment it's only for tablets and won't show up if you're seeking the app from a phone.
Here's the direct link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pokemon.pokemontcg&hl=en
How about playing the original game from Nintendo Pokemon TCG Online?
PC version :https://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-tcg/play-online/
Android version: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pokemon.pokemontcg
It's really F2P, in fact, I think you can not buy real money ingame. You can earn tickets to play tournments and coins to buy boosters just playing. You can also trade/sell your cards with other players.
Nope, I meant this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pokemon.pokemontcg
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pokemon.pokemontcg
Now it's not the very best (like no one ever was. Lol) but it's ok

This is the Google Play link, check if its compatible with your Chromebook
I hope we stay with the current Digimon TCG, at least until we get a videogame:
Probably the inconsistency of Digimon push the posible fans away, I seen enough posts of people wanting to start with Digimon asking "Where should I start?" with so many different names (I wonder if it would be better as Digimon: Adventure, Digimon 2: Adventure 02, Digimon 3: Tamers, Digimon 4: Frontier, Digimon 5: Savers, Digimon 6: Xros Wars, Digimon 7: Adventure? I still think this last one was a mistake, as for Appli Monsters, I guess it shouldn't stay on that line, Digimon Universe: Appli Monsters. Idk, a spinoff.)

Do you mean it does t show up or it’s not supported here’s the link
You can download the apk and sideload it if you can't get it from the store at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pokemon.pokemontcg
There is a version of the card game you can play on an Android device.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pokemon.pokemontcg
Pokemon TCG is available... for tablets only :/

Freemium Pokemon TCG game on both iPhone and Android.
The Pokemon TCG app is surprisingly good and even just the Theme Deck vs Theme Deck league is good fun. You can earn cards, but realistically you'll need to buy cards or decks. Either buying physical Pokemon card products which come with a code to redeem them on the app, or buying the code directly from ebay or sites like professor-oak.com
Ascension is a game I really enjoy, it's not strictly similar to Hearthstone but it's something you might like. It's a Deck Building game, where you start each game with a few cards and increase your power by spending those on better cards each turn. Either that or Star Realms for a space themed game that plays in a very similar way. There's also Cthulhu Realms which is similar but I haven't played that one very much.
There's a popular solo card game called Onirim which has a really nice app. You have to try and play cards in certain orders to unlock doors. It's easy to pick up but can be challenging.
I quite like board games and there's more and more interesting board game adaptations hitting the Play Store recently. Some of them are tried and tested, popular card games.
If you want to go all in physical, you can look for a starter deck. Anyone is fine, I'd check this one as it's quite likely you get some good cards to start from there.
Ask your kid to teach you the basics, although in general the decks should have a ruleset of information to start (how turns go, the prize cards, using energies, etc.). The game, outside the general design, has a pretty easy thing on that everything is quick to read.
If you don't want to waste a lot of money - let's be real, if you go someway the pro route, you'll end up spending quite a bit of money on booster packs - you can try the TCGO route. It's not as fancy as you don't collect the cards, but they offer some free decks and you don't have to waste money on cards if you play quite intensively (that might become a bother). It's available on PC, Mac, Android Tablets and iPads (the games are content-heavy, so expect to require a lot of space, around 4-5GBs).
Isn't this the official TCG version? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pokemon.pokemontcg
Well, there's always this one.
I don't get what you're trying to say, it certainly exists.
> Well it's not, so idk what to tell you
Oh, look, it is available for phones. Both Android and iOS, actually. Where are you getting your erroneous information from, buddy?
