on mobile you need Yandex Browser (where is possible install stylish, install this style)
and browsing reddit through it with desktop display.

The reason Chrome doesn't support extensions is probably just because it'd mean extra work for the devs. I know however that Yandex Browser and Kiwi, which are also based on Chromium, support Chrome extensions.
Yes, Blokada works like that. More specifically it behaves as a VPN app in other to filter network traffic. Adguard also works like this. Note that the filtering is not perfect; occasionally you might see ads because an URL or more is missing from the filter lists, in such cases you can usually fix it by looking at Blockada's host log and blacklist the URL (assuming you find the correct one). Some apps like Messenger moreover provide ads and content through the same URLs, in which case VPN-based adblocking is impossible.
Yandex Browser is a good option although may not support all the chrome extensions: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yandex.browser
[EDIT: I normally use it on my tab s4 for more heavy browsing task that normally can be addressed on LoD due to the low RAM amount in that device, and works fine].
Yandex Browser with Adguard ended up being faster than Firefox with ublock origin for me. Yandex also has "turbo mode" which speeds up loading stuff on slower connections.

I use Firefox, but it sounds like you prefer tab management and navigation to be on the bottom of the screen. In that case, I highly recommend Yandex Browser. It has the navigation buttons at the bottom of the screen, uses the same engine as Chromium, and supports extensions including ad-blockers.

Yeah, I was skeptical about it as well but after using it for about a year I have to say it's the best mobile browser imo. To clarify though there's like 4 different apps called Yandex but I use "Yandex Browser with Protect"

You can use Yandex browser or Kiwi browser from Google Play Store and install DuckDuckGo extension from Chrome Web Store. But it also means that you can only use the DuckDuckGo extension on those browsers. If you don't like those browsers then there's no other way.
yes you can id recommend a javascript online gen and an android device (you cant beam/comp on ios) open discord on the android web browser and for the utilizing cookies you need a browser called "Yandex Browser with Protect" here's a link to it https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yandex.browser&hl=en&gl=US
download the editthiscookie extension on there and you should be able to use it
I am currently using Yandex Browser with Adguard content blocker.
try this chrome extension BA.net/adblockvpn https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/dmknehchbeeinfhjmggbfmdiflbifgjd
you can install it on the chrome replacement Yandex browser https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yandex.browser&hl=en_US
I am pivoting between Kiwi, Bromite and FOSS Browser.
Yandex Browser supports bottom toolbar as well and Chrome Addons. No other Android browser does it.
I would also like to second other's recommendations of Brave, Microsoft Edge, and Samsung Internet.
You can try yourself and see how it is going to work for you. Install Yandex https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yandex.browser and use it for a while to search the net, share pages, use extension to clip to OneNote or Save in Pocket, change multiple opened tabs, then open any other browser and do the same. Then you will decide which is more comfortable and user friendly. The point is all browsers follow Chrome, Mozilla, Opera concept but they follow their own PC and Mac concept which is good for desktop but not that good for the phones. In my opinion it is not necessary to invent something radically new. It is enough to make existing one better and users friendly. On the phone we don’t use mouse but a finger. Why have to stretch finger to top of the screen if the bottom is more comfortable side to reach? Even for the Status bar I don’t reach the top of my screen. Instead I use Nova launcher gesture to pull home screen down ones for notifications and twice for tools.
Yandex.Browser also lives in Russia.
... more info than you probably wanted on <strong>Yandex</strong> that I'm testing: it ...
is chromium based(currently 72.0.3626)
syncs across devices(speed dial, bookmarks, passwords, forms, open tabs)
has bottom navigation(device dependent works on my moto x4 not on my tablet)
has adblocking:
either install same google play store apps as Samsung Internet:
AdClear Ad blocker for Samsung
Adblock Plus for Samsung Internet
after installation they'll appear under Settings | Content Blocking | Content Blocker extensions
OR uBlock Origin development build see below
has Reader Mode
has zoom & text reflow
can save page as pdf
translates pages
has turbo mode for data saving
has chrome://flags for customization
has extensions directly from:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/category/extensions (open in Full Site mode - extensions that require desktop components won't work)
e.g. working ...
FreshStart - Cross Browser Session Manager [using it to import/export bookmark folders as so far unable to import a bookmarks.html file]
uBlock Origin development build
... however <strong>some people have concerns</strong>
Yandex browser has a feature called Zen, which is a news feed that lets you curate the sources a bit. You set it up by selecting a few sources in the beginning, and then you can encourage/discourage/block stories or sites as you use it (if you want).
Also, BBC and NPR for breaking news notifications.
Edit: add link to Yandex browser on the play store, and some screenshots showing news cards and what you can do with them. You can also just click it to load the story, or long press for other stuff.
You can use a bookmarklet to do this in the Android Chrome browser(&most other Android browsers).
Get the bookmarklet by checking out this thread
PS: You could also install the Video Speed Controller chrome extension in the Yandex browser apart from Firefox as already mentioned.
I use SiteDelta WATCH to monitor updates of this page:
I use either the Firefox extension OR the chrome add-on in the Yandex browser(seeing as chrome itself doesn't support add-ons)
> which "model" of Yandex Browser did you install ??
Yandex Browser with Protect
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yandex.browser&hl=en_US&gl=US
Yandex browser based on Chrome https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yandex.browser
Almost like Chrome, but allows you to run desktop extensions from Chrome and Opera.
I think you are basing your opinion on yandex being a Russian firm.
However a quick google search resulted in the following reviews / discussions :
http://download.cnet.com/Yandex-Browser/3000-2356_4-75785450.html
https://malwaretips.com/threads/yandex-browser.60956/
http://www.privacydusk.com/windows-privacy/chrome-alternative-yandex-privacy-browser-review/ (based on a 1 year old review)
Reviews and discussions aside. I have used Yandex mail with custom domains for over a year. They still offer 500 ids per domain for free. something google and Microsoft charge a bomb for. I design websites for clients and while setting up their custom emails, I provide Zoho if their requirement of email ids is under 25. If not I set them up under Yandex email. Have had no complaints.
I stumbled upon the android version of the yandex browser first . I was reading a news article about chrome moving the address bar and tab control to the lower part of the screen for android (posted on theverge) . In the user comments someone had mentioned how yandex has had this for sometime now. looking at the google play store listing, it seems to be very popular and rated well. ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yandex.browser&hl=en )
My personal thoughts on the browser .
On android, I prefer it more to chrome already. the UI looks slick , and the tab previews / navigation is very well thought out.
On Windows 10, using it on my SP4 : it performs faster than Opera which I have been using daily. And works as fast as Edge without the bugs. Its really a gem.
Yandex by default lets you install extensions from the Opera app store. But chrome extensions are easily installed via the chrome store.
It is based on Chromium and uses the Blink layout engine from what I have read so far.
Any features I found missing I have been able to get via the Opera and Chrome extensions Stores.
The only feature I really miss from Opera is the side bar and the few extensions that are made for the side bar in Opera.
You can use this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yandex.browser
The only way I know of is to use a different browser such as Yandex or Kiwi and then add the extensions that get around paywalls. Extensions are currently not supported for Chrome Android, and I would assume they aren't supported for the iPhone browser either.
You're welcome. Note that some Chrome forks say they can run extensions on mobile too. The extension I personally develop does not work in these browsers out of the box though. The 2 browsers I've heard of are these ones:
- Yandex Browser: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yandex.browser&hl=en
- Kiwi Browser: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kiwibrowser.browser&hl=en
(Yandex or Kiwi) + TPM Extension may get you there. I don't explicitly recommend any of it, I just think it may fit together. All TPM needs is WebUSB support. I don't know what the WebUSB status is for the Yandex/Kiwi project, but it would take you 10 seconds to find out.
Feel free to toss me the bounty if it works, or donate it to the Yandex / Kiwi teams. Whomever you feel is worthy.
Brave Android may also eventually enable Chrome extensions if the thought of russian or estonian SW makes you queasy.

The regular white one: Yandex Broswer with Protect
I know that on Android, Yandex Browser has support for some Chrome extensions, including S-CSS-P.
For android: try yandex browser with built in adblocker.
Root required for: xposed framework with "minminguard" (which block all in-app ads and even gives you the space back which banners take), "youtube adaway" (never-ever have to wait for you video to start).
With those things, I have zero ads on my smartphone. And if I upgrade my smartphone, my choice solely depends on the option to get those plugins running. If not, every new smartphone is a downgrade to my experience.
I'm a bit late, but I use Yandex Browser with my Mi Max and it has a bottom sitting URL bar.
If you can trust a Russian company, then Yandex browser on Android is actually quite nice.
Yandex saves passwords, and I've found it to be smooth and responsive on kitkat.
I get decent battery with these.
Youtube
Chrome
Google Maps
Messages
RedReader Beta - the dark theme isn't as nice as Slide's but it sucks a quarter the battery juice by default
Damnit why isn't it linking? Here you go
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yandex.browser&referrer=promopage
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yandex.browser This browser is based on Chrome (Desctop browser available too), synchronization between platforms. search bar on the bottom along with settings menu, option to save most visited sithes as tableau similar to Opera Mini. You don't have to stretch your thumb to the top of the screen anymore. I've got 6" screen Mate 8 and this is the most useful browser I heve used so far.
Didn't even work on my OnePlus 2 running mobile Chrome. Nor on Yandex.browser but it's also based on Chrome.
I logged in on 4 different browsers on 2 desktops and a OnePlus phone and tried to apply. No luck.
Try Yandex Browser. They have the address bar on the bottom.
Try Yandex.
Yandex Browser. It supports CHROME EXTENSIONS. Adblock + Ghostery + Poper Blocker = No frustration web browsing.
