Every person I know who talked about possibly becoming a firefighter in high school talked about how much pussy you can get from being a firefighter, how you can get out of tickets because you keep your badge on hand even when not working, how you will be a hero, just by joining and you should expect everyone to love you and give you stuff, etc
>Here are five ways to protect yourself from a VPN service or server that may be compromised:
>Verified “no logs” claims – There have been two examples where “no logs” claims have prevailed over law enforcement. Private Internet Access had their “no logs” claims tested and verified in US court last year. In another example, Perfect Privacy had two of their servers seized in Rotterdam (also reported by TorrentFreak). According to Perfect Privacy, customer data remained safe due to the server configuration and their strict “no logs” policies.
Well if you ever started in a job you know this feeling that you as the "Newbie" have not much to say. I guess its ok to take into account that he was new and thought "The seniors know what they do". That this is no carte blanche i guess we all can agree. But to blame a new guy in his first week for a problem that developed over decades would not be fair.
But he get now the Denkzettel i think he still deserves
I'll be honest, I'm a mobile dev and I'm garbage at making websites. I'm sure there is an easier way to do this, but I used the Bootstrap framework which basically takes care of a lot of that yucky CSS that I hate so much. The rest was positioning, JavaScript, and data from the /r/2020PoliceBrutality sub
I've been compiling my own list at https://www.notion.so/ubershmekel/Log-of-violent-videos-since-George-Floyd-s-death-63db971983624ec49cd99f73c6777a4a#798942db37484650b5c1b8cea38eb046
I'm a software engineer. I built redditp among other things. I want to build a tool to help track all these links and follow ups.
Right now I'm thinking of building a website that does these things:
Please let me know, mod and data team, if you need any automation, a bot or technical help.
That's a big oof.
Reddit is far from anonymous. Unless you take appropriate steps, assume anything you post online can be traced back to you. You may be anonymous to other users, but Reddit itself (and by extension, law enforcement) can easily locate you.
No, they shot a child who had a gun, the cop knew he had a gun, saw the gun in his hand less than a second before he turned to face the cop and raised his hands.

That is the same motion you would make if you were turning to shoot at the cop. 800 milliseconds is not that much time.
He had a gun in his hand 800 milliseconds before being shot, during which time he turned on the police and raised his hands, you know, like you would do if you were about to shoot at the cops.

Close-a-fucking-nuff.
Imagine having to live with the fact you killed a 13 y/o boy. I would not be able to live with it. Adam and Roman, the adult he was with were shooting at a car driving by. After 4AM. Everything is fucked up in this case. Gangs recruiting kids his age, parents not being able to stop it, pull them out before they end up dead or in prison. It is all so sad.
This vid shows everything that happened from different angles/cameras. https://odysee.com/@USNews:0/Adam-Toledo-shooting:7
How to protect video recorded with a phone from dishonest police employees:
Use the app linked at the bottom to record video with the screen off.
It can be set to record 1 minute videos.
Use this app with Sync.com, Dropbox or another cloud app that will auto upload.
Every one minute your video will upload to cloud.
If your phone is taken you will still have the video. If the video is deleted from phone it can be recovered from the cloud.
