It doesn't glow in the dark, but you can make it light up. You need to buy the light for it. Here's an Amazon link to what you'd need to buy.
Acrylic risers (like these from Amazon). If you search there's tons of different ones/sizes and also decently cheap. Daiso in the US also carries them for a pretty good cost as well.
Last week I was searching for a dustproof (and somewhat cat proof) display case here
Finally found it on amazon, $16 for 4
With this setup, there are some nendoroids I cannot display due to size. But now, they don't need to melt inside the lonely boxes with the plasticize fume. My cat chewed all my beam saber, just the beam saber.
I found a great way to do this recently - bean bag chair beans.
Find a box approximately the right size, put the figure in it, then fill it with bean bag beans. They're not actually beans, obviously, but are tiny foam balls. They're like mini packing peanuts. They fill in the space and conform to the figure and support it in the box.
When you unpack, just pull out the figure and carefully collect the beans. They are staticky and stick.
Here are the ones i used: Comfort Research UltimaX Beans Refill, 100 Liters https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0055DXQS0?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf
Mother of a two year old here. To be honest my toddler isn't really interested in my Detolfs. She likes to go and stare at the figures and talks to them but that's as far as it goes haha. She is unable to climb on to my cases and I have them anchored to my wall by making an adjustment to the top portion of my detolfs. I also have these on my door as an extra measure.
Just teach your little one how to interact with your Detolfs and figures. They learn easily, just be consistent. They have to be gentle. I'm able to sit my scales on the floor for rearrangement time and the most my toddler comes over to do is brush them with a makeup brush i give her and say "ooooo colors". I taught her by giving her a few taito figures and one of those crystal doll figures of her own and showing her how to handle them. She keeps them on her room shelf and is always gentle when moving them around. She tells me to be careful now if I touch them haha.
I got it Convenience Concepts Designs2Go Wall Unit Bookshelf, White https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S19LFR1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_W6DF6GAR8GTKPC02SWBK?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
And yes there is a black version
Omg yes. Okay so I found these on Amazon. They’re meant to display gems. But it fits perfect for the crystal heart! If I open it too it display perfectly! I got the large size
I bought two orders of this, one for each bookcase, and I used these clips to tidy up the cables ^^ Black cables would've been nicer, but this one worked well for how I wanted to light them
Well, if they happen to fall from that height it would be dangerous but that really depends on how you have your display set up. I’d recommend using museum putty on the underside of the bases to keep the figure from tipping over until you find a more permanent spot for them.
I recently got this riser from Amazon for my nendoroids. It fits pretty well in the detolf; you get around an inch to the left/right and it can be moved to the back enough so that the detolf shelf can also hold nendos.
Here's a quick pic of how mine looks, inside the detolf. Each step can hold 4 nendos with some wiggle space between them and height-wise the nendo below reaches to the knee region of the nendo on the step above.
The riser is one whole piece so assembly is pretty easy, you just have to screw in the two legs in the back (screws and screwdriver are included). Though this is the second seller where I ordered my riser from, as my first two orders from a previous seller had the risers arrived 1) heavily scratched and 2) with the top step snapped off.

i got the 20 by 20 and it fits perfectly! i’m really happy with it :)
I have placed it in the bottom of the feet for my Kaguya Nendoroid and it has helped keep her from tipping over whenever my shelf shakes a lot. Quake Hold is a putty you stick on to the bottom of the figure. I might use it in scales for future use. It also isn't as expensive to buy.
Edit: link to product Quake Hold
Only news I saw when I looked this up was that Funimation will release the "The Complete Series coming to Blu-ray/DVD Combo". Doesn't seem to be figure-related, as I have not heard anything on the Japanese side of things.
Thank you! :) - It'll be based off Junji Itō Collection, which includes Uzumaki, Tomie, Soichi and many other iconic stories.

If you're worried you can buy cable clip clamps like these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B086V9SKKY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_glt_fabc_J7BRM9AQN7MVVW28BC9T?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Ive been doing research on getting a detolf after my next move and it looks like people are using these to customize shelf heights. No reason you can't reinforce the shelving with them
These leds are awesome. They're from a company called Govee. I bought it on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/DreamColor-Govee-Wireless-Controlled-Assistant/dp/B07N1BVVC7/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=govee+led+strip+lights+rgbic&qid=1625781811&sr=8-4

Cool to medium warm water shouldn't harm your figures. I recommend using a blender paintbrush that has never been used to paint (Amazon Link) to help remove the dust from in between the spikes of his hair. Be sure to only allow the bristles to touch the figure, as Dreamy said, it would suck to scratch your figure. If it is being stubborn, use a tiny amount of dish soap (Dawn works best) in a large bucket or kitchen sink full of water, avoid ones that have hand lotion mixed in (I'm looking at you Palmolive!) use the brush to gently clean your figure before rinsing thoroughly. Pat dry with a soft cloth and then allow to air-dry for an hour before returning your figure to your display. I've been cleaning my figures that way for many years and have yet to have a mishap.

Got that on amazon, then taped it from the bottom corner where the door hinge is, around the top, and across the other side. Left a 1-inch margin between the strip and the glass edge, so its behind the metal bar piece of the detolf (so it doesnt cast a shadow), and plugged it in. It took me all of 10 minutes to measure out and set up, easy as pie.
Thanks! They are the ustellar dimmable LED strips from Amazon. I also mounted them in an aluminum channel system instead of sticking them directly on the glass.
Heads up: she’s cheaper on Amazon JP with shipping
Cool collection, but I think the leaning Homura could be addressed. I used some steel wire, but people have also used acrylic rods and such. It's an easy fix, and definitely worth it in my opinion. Here's what mine looks like: https://vgy.me/S6VUT7.png
I was gifted them! The big one is a greenlight 1:18 (I couldn’t find it on Amazon) and I couldn’t exactly find the right one but this is pretty close

Hey, I was having the same issue for Amazon JP. I emailed them and customer service said that items have to be cleared for international shipping. It seems that that process sometimes clears after the pre-order/avaliability has been around for a while. You may want to make sure that you are picking the one with Amazon JP as the seller. Sometimes the product page defaults to the lowest price whether or not it says "Ships from and sold by Amazon.co.jp". Also is this the figure? Hopefully, this link defaults to Amazon JP as the seller. https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B00CTIFTNO/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=AN1VRQENFRJN5&psc=1
Android users wanting to use their phone's camera would do well to check out something like Open Camera, which is open-source and offers a LOT of manual controls. (I'm not the dev, just been using it for years across three phones now.)
Cheapest yen price (at least from U.S.): https://www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/dp/B0BLNCLS3K/ref=sr_1_2?crid=7BS1C54Y32ZQ&keywords=GOODSMILE&qid=1668071428&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI0LjM3IiwicXNhIjoiMi44NCIsInFzcCI6IjIuMTYifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=good+smile%2Caps%2C97&sr=8-2. Pay at time of release (or upfront if u buy gift cards) and usually DHL. But cancelling would be difficult if u ever change your mind unless you have an expired card to force cancel a po.
Avoid Nippon Yassan like the plague. They never reply tickets, well at least for me, but turns out I'm not alone. Just look at their stellar reviews here -https://www.trustpilot.com/review/nippon-yasan.com
I used this Pacer PT01 Zap A Gap CA+ Glue, 2 oz/ounces https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000EYY1ES/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_YY95tb0WDKD6K
It was cheap and holds up really well, I used it for when my Himeji fell and broke her arm and piece of her hair. The trick was to use a reeeeally small amount so the break would be flush, any more and it'll ooze out.
Nice collection. However, have you considered getting some sort of pole or rod for the Homura? I made mine in less than five minutes using some basic galvanized steel wiring, and I don't think it stands out too much. It seems to be quite effective as well, as she's been sitting straight for almost an entire year now. It's a really easy fix for the notorious tilting problem with this Homura, I'd really recommend it. https://vgy.me/S6VUT7.png
More 1 star reviews than positive stars.
Personally the prices are not that deeply discounted instead of dealing with bad customer service I'd just go to Mandarake.

I purchased the frameless version and built the frames myself. I’m not a super crafty person, and certainly didn’t come out perfect, but good enough for me lol.
The less complete one was likely data scraped from Amazon, and the other one was their original entry. They occasionally end up with these listing dupes due to the way their site works.
Zoomed-in Rem pic can be seen on this listing: https://www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/2094/dp/B07DJT6QGG
Use Museum Putty. Put some on top of the seat, then place her on top.
I've had Ishtar for a year and she hasn't fallen off once yet, even after moving her serval times.
I think most folks (including myself) get them from either Amazon or Daiso (if available where you're at). Here's an example from Amazon
here! This is the one I have, I got it on Amazon and I like it because of the mirror and there’s multiple ways to power it, 3 actually, batteries, cord, or some weird long battery thing
I recommend getting Daylight white led strips from amazon. It’s only like 16 bucks, they’re bright and the colors on my figures pop out! I just recently upgrade my lights to these led strips Love them so much, i bought more to upgrade the rest of my lights. There’s RGB options too, but they’re never as bright as pure white.
I have these. They fit around the edges of the entire Detolf (and then some) and you can change the colors of different segments via the app! You can have the lights sparkle, flash, sync to music, etc.

Thank you!
As for the lights they are chargeable ones I bought off Amazon. I bought them because I wanted to avoid wires and dealing with hiding them. I have one shelf that is wired and it drives me bonkers.
But these are pretty decent and have 3 different light selections.
If you line the open gaps on the deltof with some weather proofing pile then you wont have to dust as often. I get little to no dust inside my 2 cases, and only have to clean the outside occasionally. It also helps to have a air filter running in the same room. Removes the bulk of the dust that would otherwise make its way into places like that.
There are plenty of options, but this is the one that I used. You'll need to use a knife, screwdriver, drill, or something in order to remove the material for actual locking piece to fit into. I recommend really taking your time and double or triple checking that everything lines up before drilling any holes. Use tape to hold the lock plate while you align it, it really helps.
Good luck!
You could try a silica gel dry pack? I use them in my safe & in my pelican case that stores my Valve Index VR. They are rechargable. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0025OO8DO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_C13VDVSJEMKB1CJABZ3K?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
LED lights are the best for lighting, and it doesn't damage the figure. This is the LED lights that I use for my bookshelf!
It would not be PVC glue. It would be PVC cement. Glue works as an adhesive. Plastic cements work by dissolving the plastic and re-polymerizing. I would generally not recommend cements as they are more specific use and can easily cause damage if applied outside the join, as it will dissolve whatever it drips on.
Cyanoacrylate glues (more commonly, super glues) are usually the best option, as they work well with ABS, PVC, and most other materials used in figures. They also are reasonably strong.
Another poster mentioned they had tried a lot of super glues and found DAP Rapid fuse(can also be found at walmart and hardware stores) to be the best. It has specific additives that make it dry faster. Any super glue should work reasonable well though.
I've used this to fix porcelain/ceramic ornaments and it has worked well. Put a bit on the broken area and hold the pieces together for a minuet or two.
I use the 12x8.5 inch one and it fits perfectly in a detolf if you display them there :) the bases fit on there perfectly as well and you can get 4 rows of nendoroids.
Here’s what it looks like in my ikea kallax desk

Be careful i ordered two sets separately and got two different colors. didn't notice until i had cut and shortened the wires. set up was super easy and they look great up close. luckily the left shelf is the wifes and she likes that color more.
Right, Billys have 3 wooden sides and an open front (which can have doors optionally.)
Detolfs don't have a built in way to adjust shelf height, but there's a very common DIY trick people use. Using 4 3/16" wire clamps, you just clamp them to the Detolf support bars to create new holders for the shelves.
https://www.amazon.com/HEVERP-24PCS-Inches-Stainless-Steel/dp/B07ZPM7WD7/
Thread about it here: https://www.tfw2005.com/boards/threads/ikea-detolf-modification-1-adding-additional-shelves.423114/
It's typically done to add more shelves for smaller scale figures, but works just as well to space out the included shelves. So you wouldn't have to worry about measuring and acquiring more shelves like the OP of that TFW thread.
In a standard Detolf, I guess you'd have to remove 2 of the 3 shelves and use only the remaining one and the base of the cabinet. This should let you fit at least 1 more in there. If you also have some small enough stuff to display you might be able to even have 3 levels of 1/4s and 1 level of smaller scale, but I'm not really familiar with the typical height of them to say for sure. I only collect big heavy comic book 1/4s myself like Sideshow, and those are far too heavy to trust a Detolf glass shelf.
Im not one to judge on your budget but if you get into this hobby saving a few dollars here and there can equal to an entire figure or two when you realize it. Just waiting saves you enough money to pay for another figure.[ Customs can somtimes be over $50, I learned the hard way use USAL or RSAL ] Also some rare figures can be found for half their price on mandarake
http://www.amazon.ca/Beyond-Boundary-Kuriyama-Queens-Version/dp/B00KHILV2Q https://order.mandarake.co.jp/order/detailPage/item?itemCode=1034889478&ref=list
Just an example. What ever makes you happy but for this hobby i strongly suggest you hunt for prices because some stores do overprice things a lot. If you are desperate and can't find a place to get a certain figure amazon and ebay would be your last resort. Just some advice.
Since her birthday is soon, you probably don't want to wait until October for the rerelease, so you'll have to look for the current release, which will cost a bit more. Here's one on a trusted site called Mandarake that's unopened for 10,000 yen before shipping.
Alternatively, there's one on Amazon for $109, if you're not comfortable with Japanese sites :)
This is an "HMM" model ( high end master model) it is a snap together still, but more complex and no motor like the older ones. I got mine off amazon, here is the link. Solaris Japan also sells them. https://www.amazon.com/HMM-Zoids-RZ-041-Liger-Jager/dp/B005UXM4QA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1502596102&sr=8-1&keywords=liger+zero+jager
Hey, I use amazon JP for preorders to UK mostly because it tells you upfront what shipping and customs will be. Your figure is on there for a around 9000jpy too. https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B01EKVCYXK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_vYK2zb0G5ZZE7
I just PO'd on Amazon JP. Assuming it's a bit cheaper than AmiAmi, because Amazon discounts sales tax (while I don't believe AmiAmi can?). That said, 23,752 JPY is a lot...
Well, at least according to the Amazon page you have until April 24th to cancel your order of her.
Thats her EXQ figure if I'm correct.
Amiami has it for a whopping 1300 yen before shipping.
Book depository has it up for preorder here.
Especially useful for the free shipping in countries it can be hard to buy Light Novels in without the shipping being expensive as hell, like Australia. (Amazon wanted over $300 USD shipping for the LN's I wanted).
Edit: Just checked and it's available to preorder on Amazon too here. Where are you hoping to preorder it from?
I'm not the OP but I think I have the same risers as he does for my nendoroids. Here's an amazon link for them. It's the 12x8.75 option.
I'm looking to buy this Yukino figure: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LYJYKO1/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?smid=A2FDSPNCWKN4A8&psc=1 The seller has good feedback and is fulfilled with amazon, but I just want to make sure before I go ahead and buy. Thanks in advance
Saw this on Amazon and made an impulse buy. It's an add-on item meaning your order total has to be $25+US to get it. The figure itself is only $5.15.

I ordered my lights off of Amazon. This is the exact one I bought.
It comes as one 16 foot spool with a splitter and power connector. Pretty simple to apply and it can be connected to an app on your phone to turn on and off wherever as well as full RGB functionality. I've been having a little too much fun messing with the lights and turning it on and off, changing the colors.
Mine recently got delivered from Amazon. It shipped from Japan and got here to the US in about a week a a half. Here's a link to it https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07N5FQ34P/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_1yDXCbV7TCCK7
You can't really get it in the US. It's a brand called "Hobby Base" (ホビーベース) that manufacture acrylic stands for figures. Amazon JP link: https://www.amazon.co.jp/%E3%83%9B%E3%83%93%E3%83%BC%E3%83%99%E3%83%BC%E3%82%B9-%E3%83%A2%E3%83%87%E3%83%AB%E3%83%99%E3%83%BC%E3%82%B9-%E3%81%B2%E3%81%AA%E5%A3%87%E3%83%91%E3%83%83%E3%82%AF-%E8%B6%85%E5%8E%9A4mm%E6%9D%BF-PPC-K46/dp/B00LKWB2CW/ref=sr_1_19?__mk_ja_JP=%E3%82%AB%E3%82%BF%E3%82%AB%E3%83%8A&keywords=hobby+base&qid=1557562699&s=gateway&sr=8-19
It's kinda pricey at >$20, but honestly nothing else comes close in quality (as well as being the perfect size for putting in detolfs). You can try your luck in stores/Amazon for acrylic stands in general and see if any fit your needs.

I'd have to agree €20 for a full set seems really low
I've seen it for €47 and that's probably as cheap as you expect to find
Personally, I'd say it might not be worth it even though I don't know for sure there's even counterfeits of them
It just seems odd they are selling it so low
Thank you!! The brand is called FURINNO and they have a lot of different options for color and size. As much as I hate to support Amazon, I bought a lot of the shelves for less than $30 and highest was under $60. They also are super easy to assemble, they are twist poles. I bought them cause I currently rent and they are super easy to move with. Here are some links, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FKFPZLW/ref=cm_sw_r_apanp_ryxmQ1HlULzwK
Thanks! The book is part of the Barnes & Noble Collectible Edition.
There's a couple of other books in the same style.
This seems like it has a lot of potential if you get it set up right ^^
Yes, you can buy the one from MFC. Ask for pictures of everything. Also make sure you do not pay as a gift, but as goods with PayPal. By paying as goods you have the PayPal Protection https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/paypal-safety-and-security. So if the seller happened to be a scam, you can contact PayPal about it and you can get your money back.
I used this kind. http://www.dx.com/c/lights-lighting-1399/bulbs-and-strips-1301/5050-smd-strips-1324
More info about LED here http://heracolights.com/2014/03/10/3528-vs-5050-vs-5630-led-smd-diodes/
I would like to recommend not selecting the 'gift' option, as you cannot open a dispute on PayPal (should anything go wrong) if you have selected the payment as a gift.
From their Buyer Protection page:
"In addition, for items purchased off eBay, you must meet all of these requirements:
Send the payment to the seller through:
The Send Money tab on the PayPal website by clicking the Purchase tab and selecting Goods"
Payments sent through gifts have no protection from PayPal, so it's recommended to not use the gift option.
TIL!
Oh yeah, those cranes can be assholes. My worst prize was the most useless machine. I had to play it on release day since it was supposed to be a christmas present, so I had to get it, and of course, because of the release it was a 200y machine with crappy setting and a note saying that staff is not allowed to help because its a new prize. Ended up paying 9000Y >_>
But once you've done it a few times it's easy to understand the logic, I sometimes even manage a 100y get
Yeah, the phrase comes from "holy grail" (a nearly unobtainable object and/or your ultimate goal, just like in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade)
If you're willing to wait until January to get her, she still seems to be available through CR for $158 (with an additional $12 discount if you're a member):
I haven't ordered from them but since no one else has said anything:
WOT shows no ratings for this website meaning relatively few people have used it. Furthermore, there are few Google results for this website's reputability.
It's not the shadiest looking website, but I would personally look elsewhere.
Good luck!
I'm still in that proccess myself. When I saw your shelf I could imagine you making a small cut and adding a few LEDS pointing downward. Then filling it in with some wood puddy to hide wires going to the lights. Maybe some of these. Find some extra wires laying around, cut the leds and solder how it could fit well on the shelf.
Unfortunately for me, I only paid $13.50 for it and the shipping was free since I was ordering other items. It wouldn't really be worth the trouble and I would hate to just trash it. It's the same figure as listed here on Amazon.
Buyee and ZenMarket are popular choices here in the sub (although I dont really use them as I already live in Japan.) Or you can try Amazon JP and see if it ships to your country. Sometimes they have cheaper shipping options and its calculated at checkout.
I do not know if this will ship to you but here's an amazon JP link.
I got them on Amazon!

I used this one with my anime figure. It works fantastically and looks nice. You can get it in different sizes as well. I hope this helps. :)
These I have 1 set of the 4x4x4, 5x5x5, and 6x6x6. I am pretty happy with them. I find that the 5x5x5 are the most versatile, followed by the 4x4x4, then 6x6x6. The 6x6x6 are best for smaller figures, or figures in a lying/sitting position. Standing figures can sometimes be too tall for the 6x6x6 to fit in the display.
ah totally understand! here’s the link they screwed into the wall, so maybe not the best for a rental room :(( but i’m hoping you’re able to find a similar, less damaging alternative! ikea has endless super cool shelving options! i’ve seen people store figures in this square unit, and just place it on the floor, it still looks really nice and no damage at all!
Thanks! I use these risers NIUBEE risers from Amazon. They are really great. I would highly recommend them.
