If you want a fightpad, then Hori Fighting Commander: amazon link
Or you could get try grabbing the older model, Fighting commander 4: amazon link
Of course it's worth buying! For the story, or trials, cool gallery etc. I believe it's on sale right now too, on the steam store and on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/BlazBlue-Central-Fiction-PlayStation-4/dp/B01G7TX04K?th=1

Thanks for reaffirming my thoughts about starting with a stick. It seems like a heavy investment for a genre that I am only just beginning with.
I have also heard a lot of praise for the 8BitDo M30 for its excellent d-pad, compatibility, and portability; it's my top choice atm. What are your thoughts on the SN30 Pro Plus? It seems like a great combination between your DS4 and SN30.
Sticks are expensive and doesn't really offer any "real" advantage, only invest in sticks if u have the budget or are willing to play fighting games for a long period of time, good starter fightsticks IMO are 8bitdo arcade stick, Mayflash F300 and Qanba Drone.

That said, consider 8BitDo M30 I've been hearing a lot of praises of this controller from the FGC subreddit, it must be good. I myself own a DS4 and an SN30. The dpad in SN30 is better than the DS4 but I mainly use the DS4 coz I have huge hands
3C oki is pretty consistent against crouching opponents.
Have you ever tried to use x360ce, it generally fixes a lot of problems people have in games that support the 360 controller, never tried it with a PS4 controller but I'd imagine it works pretty well since basically any random controller works pretty well with it
Because if I'm not the only one who saw this angle and got really bugged that I saw only half the figure, here it is on Amazon
I bought the venom, which is an officially licensed PS4 product, but has a simple USB Output so it works just fine with my PC too.
I love it so far.
Also it's below €100 https://www.amazon.de/Venom-Arcade-Stick-Playstation-lizensierter/dp/B00NHDSINS/ref=sr_1_1/258-7937610-9576462?ie=UTF8&qid=1515068772&sr=8-1&keywords=venom+fightstick
I couldn't find the Blazblue themed one, but maybe this is what you are looking for.
HORI Real Arcade Pro 4 Kai (White) for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M3ULCQY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_KTg4zb0V0ZD3N
This May flash for about 59.99 i got for a friend says it's a good "starter".
Overtime its a solid practice arcade stick to afford and if you're still not ready for a more expensive arcade stick. You CAN customize the buttons or the square gate if you want to.
First of all, let's make sure we're talking about the same controller. Is this the controller you have?
Does it have 4 shoulder buttons? The amazon page doesn't have a picture of the top of the controller, so I can't tell.
How long have you had it? Any issues?
Does it feel very different than a dualshock 3/4?
The D-pad specially is a concern for me, is it larger, smaller, or the same size as a dualshock dpad? Is it responsive? Stiff?
There are a couple of switches on the controller. What are those for?
Have you tried using the controller on PS3 and PS4? Does it really work with no issues?
Have you tried using the controller for games that aren't fighting games? How was it?
I apologize for the avalanche of questions, and appreciate your help.
> outside of arcade sticks, what controllers are popular among BlazBlue players?
The Battlefield 4 PS3 controller (https://www.amazon.com/PDP-Battlefield-Wired-Controller-Playstation-3/dp/B00DJYTGYU) is basically a 360 controller, but with extra mappable buttons and detachable cord. Only downside is home button will not turn on the console. Great substitute for the cruddy Dualshock d-pad.
Well, like everyone is saying here. The RAP4 is a good stick. However, there are some flaws. Personally, the compartment for the wire is not functional and I had to take it off (this also happened with someone at my meetup). Also, the metal under the compartment was so sharp that is almost scratched off my fucking wire if that makes sence, I had to tape the wire ... I would recommend pad for BBCF since anime games are good with pad. Or, I'd suggest saving up for a TE2. In conclusion, I would not recommend the RAP4 and save up for a higher quality stick.
https://www.amazon.com/HORI-Fighting-Commander-Controller-PlayStation-4/dp/B00TKLFES8 this might be your best bet. I'm a d-pad guy (grew up on PS1 fighting games. Gundam Battle Assault 2 for life). Anyway, this thing works like a charm and is really customizable.
