Downloaded BlueStacks installer directly from their site, not from Softonic or any similar unofficial site.
I used earlier version for months (client 220.127.116.113, engine 18.104.22.16891) which I downloaded 29.9.2017. It started to consume during last week way more cpu, so I thought it's somehow broken since I've got few bluescreen's pointing to HD-Frontend.exe (native part of BlueStacks) in the bsod-dumps during these 4 months so maybe an update could help. So I downloaded most recent installer (versions in first post) from their site 3 days ago since internal BlueStacks' update-tab doesn't show updates even when there is some. Same behaviour on consuming more cpu-power continued, but also noticed that "Test"-named application was very quickly just flashing when other application was loading, but I didn't pay more attention to it at the beginning.
I've used only one game in BlueStacks, that being Monster Super League from Play Store before I had to root and obviously install root explorer to remove those miners. I've had that game and Root Explorer for two years or so on my phone too, never had any problems on it.
As an update to this, I installed that version downloaded on September again and the miner haven't found it's way back to Android, at least yet. Have to see in few days if I again find it silently installed.
Personally from my testing experience, I'm probably going to stick to Virtual location unless I find something that actually fools Pokemon Go. It tricked my other apps just fine.

Hey! Sorry to hear you're experiencing eye strain. If the text is blurry I would suggest setting the resolution to match that of your monitor, and possibly trying to change the DPI. If text is too small try bumping it up, and if text or objects appears too large try lowering the DPI. I use 160 DPI when going full screen, but I find this too small for windowed use.
Also, to help reduce eyestrain in general I personally opt to use a blue light filter like Window's Night Mode or third party software, like f.lux. Take care of your eyes please, they're important! 😅
TapJoy is not an application, it is embedded in other games. For example, my game specifically is The Tower.
When you go into the game, you click the shopping cart, and then follow the "Offerwall - Take A Look". Follow the hamburger menu in the upper left and choose 'reward status'. At the bottom, you will see "Your UserId: tjid.Guid" This is TapJoy.
Tapjoy has libraries that developers use and install into their apps. These libraries are not open source, and what they do is create a unique UserId for your device, using some device parameters that are not known to the general public.
What appears to be happening is that starting and stopping the Bluestacks VM is changing whatever parameters that the TapJoy library uses to determine a device.
I also notice this behavior with google. Surely you have seen "a new device is contributing to your location history". Something under the hood of BlueStacks is causing TapJoy and Google to think that a new device is being created/used, even though I have not created a new BlueStacks VM.

For my purposes that was not important, but anyway, I installed PIA inside the instance along with the other app, cloned it, I can use it up to 5 devices so if I open just 2 at the same time, I only hav to open PIA inside BS, the other app that takes ages to load loads as fast as it does on my phone, overall installing PIA inside the instance added me 1 step but saved me tons of time. So that's a solution! Hope I can do the same with ExpressVPN because that one does not connect at all when using it on windows (I mean BS loses internet connection if I use Express VPN )

If you install BlueStacks version 184.108.40.2060 Pie 64-bit (Beta) through the standalone installer from here, then you should be able to install just BlueStacks 5 and there would be a BlueStacks X icon on the home screen which you may and may not wish to open.
If you do not click on it, it would not install BS X. You may wish to continue using BlueStacks 5.
