Plastic Razor Blades are a safe way to remove stickers and decals. They don't scratch like metal razor blades can.
Rock City. It's touristy, but if you want to see formations, it's basically the tourist trap for you.
(Honestly, we actually really did like it)
Other family-friendly hikes we have enjoyed that have some fun rock attractions:
Glenn Falls Trail
North Chickamauga Creek Gorge--the hike to Strip Mine Falls is short and the creek itself is gorgeous
Indian Rockhouse Trail in Prentice Cooper, then drive from the trailhead down to Snoopers Rock Overlook. You shouldn't get all the way into Prentice Cooper and miss that
Sunset Rock via Craven's House: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/tennessee/sunset-rock-via-cravens-house-trail
We came for a week with our kids a few years ago prior to moving here. We did the Aquarium, TN Valley Railroad Museum, walked across the Walnut Street Bridge from Coolidge Park, did the Creative Discovery Museum, and rode the Incline and walked to Point Park. Honestly, it was one of our more memorable family trips.
If you have a tow truck lover, the Tow Truck Museum is small, but cool for that very specific set of interests. It's still one of my son's favorite places.
I posted this as a response to another comment, but want to make sure you see it as well.
>It's pretty simple. If you live within the city limits of Chattanooga, your city taxes pay for the Chattanooga Library.
>Since you feel so passionately about it, please reach out to your county commissioner to request for them to contribute some county taxes to the library budget again. Ten years ago, Hamilton County residents could get a Chattanooga library card. The county contributed some of their budget towards the library, but due to politics, they pulled funding, leaving the city to take over full funding. That is when the city and the library implemented the $50 fee for county residents.
Ring Molds They have fancy kits as well. I don’t remember the exact size. The 3.5” would give you a good shape though. Low and slow
Did you have google photos automatic backup turned on by any chance? Worth checking https://photos.google.com/ if you don't remember for sure, your pictures might be there.
Edit: Also worth trying to locate it using Android Device Manager
> The purpose of a business (even a government-ran one) is to make money.
No. The purpose of a government run business is to serve the public, not to make money. That's why any politician running on their record of success in private business is suspect. Government and private business have two entirely different purposes and treating one like the other is a recipe for failure. Balancing the books (including tax revenue) is not the same as making a profit.
As for Comcast's discount pricing -- it would not exist if EPB weren't in the market. Areas in which Comcast has no significant competition do not get the same discounted plans. I wish EPB would follow in Google's footsteps and offer a 'free' 5mbps option. Even if it were only for verified low-income families as the value to them of being online at all is much higher than the value to people like me of getting 1gbps versus a comcast 3mbps.
Just a quick response.
Bike trails : Raccoon Mountain is my personal favorite. I like the trails near the Volkswagen plant as well. I don't ride often, and haven't been many places, but those seem to have many different levels of difficulty and are maintained well. Plus raccoon mtn boasts some great views of the city.
Where to stay: Downtown. View a map on googlemaps, and pick a spot close to the touristy stuff like the TN aquarium. Good eats and bars around that area. Plus, it's generally 'safer' there. I don't ride and have the need to lock up downtown, so I'm not sure about the safety. But, I do know that bike thefts are prevalent, unfortunately, I know from experience.
Nightlife: Track 29, Rythm & Brews, JJ Bohemia's, among others. Those are places that have great music.
Eats: The Terminal, Urban Stack, among others.
Like I said, quick response. These other guys will give you some great info, I'm sure.
Oh, and see this: https://sites.google.com/site/theredditguidetochattanooga/
Enjoy.
Sounds like a good idea - though sometimes the advice must be customized (some want cheap, some want romantic, some want outdoors, etc.), a lot of the same places keep coming up over and over again.
I like what the LA subreddit did for this.
There's a dog park at Greenway Farms (and Greenway itself and all of its trails are dog-friendly, great area). There's another dog park right by the First Tennessee Pavillion (same place the Chattanooga Market is held every Sunday). As already mentioned, Walnut Street Bridge is dog-friendly. I honestly thought Coolidge Park was as well, but maybe that's changed. There's a small park right across from the McKamey Animal Shelter that I'm sure is dog friendly and usually pretty unpopulated. I also just did a search online and it turned up the Heritage Dog Park out in East Brainerd. There's also some trails and a handful of small parks along the South Chickamauga Creek Greenway that are dog-friendly and there's several access points to that, usually very quiet.
Honestly, there's a lot of places all around Chattanooga to walk or play with your dog. I'm not sure about any restaurants, but is it really crucial to bring your dog out to dinner with you? Either way, hope this helps.
You'll find lots of recommendations here using the search function.
As for needing a separate modem--- nope! EPB supplies the ONT, which feeds directly into whatever modem you choose (or heck, you could even choose not to use one). The Google Nest will work, though unless you're in a large home I'd probably advise the Netgear R6700 for the price-- https://www.amazon.com/NETGEAR-R6700-Nighthawk-Gigabit-Ethernet/dp/B00R2AZLD2/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=netgear+nighthawk&qid=1595844077&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExOVk5Q0pCVlIxUFdNJmVuY3J5cHRlZE...
That'll do fantastic wired and really good wireless. For that price, it'll work great until more 8011.ax gear comes out. For most 2000ish sq ft homes, it should work great.
If the house is larger than that and NOT wired up for ethernet, then I'd potentially consider a mesh wireless system like the Netgear Orbi.
If the house is wired up (and large), mesh routers, and would look at putting in an Edgerouter 4 and several Ubiquiti access points.
At your income level you definitely qualify for obamacare discounts.
Go to the website, put in your info and look at your options, it is pretty easy to do and you don't have to do all of it at once, you can do a little bit and come back later any time:
https://www.healthcare.gov/get-coverage/#state=georgia
You have to do this before the end of the year. Best if you do it before the end of November so coverage will start Jan 1st. Don't put it off, things have a way of going wrong if you wait until the last minute.
EDIT: I just did a dry-run for a female, 25 years old, $15K/yr income. There were four $0 plans after subsidies and another six that were under $25/month. It took me literally 2 minutes.

I'm not sure what form the other poster is talking about, but there is an online tool to help you figure out if you get any exemptions.

Did you even check the price of the Bronze level plans?

I'm from Trenton, still live there, and commute to Chattanooga to work.
You'll not find any bars in Dade County, where Rising Fawn is located. We actually only recently approved beer to be sold in restaurants, which was only picked up by a couple of establishments.
As for a local place to eat, I've got to suggest Larry's. As a disclaimer, it's a business owned by my family, but we are the #1 restaurant on TripAdvisor in Trenton.
I also suggest Thatcher's for BBQ and maybe Lalito's for Mexican cuisine, though it's the Mexican food you can get anywhere. Someone else suggested Canyon Grill, which is the 'high end' of food in the county. It's very good, but you definitely pay for it. Check out the Drive-In Theater if you are into watching a movie on your trip. Spend a morning hiking Cloudland Canyon, if you can.
After that, you'll have to go to Chattanooga for pretty much everything else.
If you have any questions about that area, I'll be happy to help.
Edit: I see you're from Austin. I'm going to spend a week between there and San Antonio in March. Any must-dos for a family with a small child?
How often in life do you get opportunities for random awesomeness like this? Do it man.
Make a trip out of it. Go play some drunk frisbee and check out stuff to do. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attractions-g54946-Activities-Chattanooga_Tennessee.html
Deleted my original post due to a sudden paranoid flash that it linked to my facebook info. but it doesn't. silly me.
Anyhow, this has the info.
We have a "Reddit Guide to Chattanooga" listed in the sidebar for this very purpose. It has a great list of stuff you will only find here ---->
It's pretty simple.
Benton Falls is nice.
Here are the missing pet tips from the Humane Educational Society: https://www.scribd.com/doc/259956302/HES-Lost-Pet-Tips
I cannot emphasize visiting shelters IN PERSON enough!
ETA: I accidentally posted this before I was done with it. Anyway, be sure to spam her photos all over facebook. I really hope you find her! Post flyers everywhere!
Snoopers Rock is in Prentice Cooper. If you don’t mind a little drive, the John Muir Trail along the Hiwassee River is great. Nice and cool breeze from the river, good canopy, plenty of places to dip your toes or even go swimming.
My other suggestion would be the Cumberland Trail, starting at the Lower Leggit trailhead. There is a nice swimming hole not horribly far from the start.
There used to be a regional that ran between Lovell Field (CHA) and O'hare (ORD). Did that end?
EDIT: Still going, it seems.
I recommend this. There's a reason you have a quarantine beard and that reason is currently surging unchecked through our community. Don't be a possible contributor, please.
I didn't even know those where around here. This is why I was looking for local knowledge.
Something I found on Amazon you others might me interested in.
National Audubon Society Regional Guide to the Southeastern States https://www.amazon.com/dp/0679446834/ref=cm_sw_r_apa_pPXNybFFSAX4T
https://www.amazon.com/Necklace-Bronze-Large-Necklace-Necklace-clock/dp/B019B3W298
The key is available on Amazon, eBay and etsy. Probably Aliexpress and other places also. Check the trash for packaging or packing slips.
You can't measure capacitors in circuit. You can however check their resistance. A dead short = dead cap. increasing resistance as it charges = working cap. If you want to measure it's captiance, you'd have to remove it and use an LCR meter. you can found some on amazon for $20+ and should suffice. This LCR meter is neat as you don't even need to tell it what it's testing.
There is already lots of competition for VPN services that do exactly that. I've used Private Internet Access was not able to get anything from them.
Downside to using a VPN, especially a popular one like PIA, is that some websites will block you. When that happens I take it as a sign that they don't want me as a customer and that I should find an alternate website.
Obviously everyone already threw in some incubator recommendations, so I'll throw another option out there:
https://stripe.com/atlas - I hear good things about this, I myself did all of this on my own but to be honest it would have probably saved me a bit of headache and worth the $500 to just have Stripe handle it.
I can't really vouch either way (for or against) our local incubators though, so it's all kind of a tossup as far as my recommendations go.
Dice : standard set (d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, and d100.. but that's really just another d10). There are phone apps if you dont want your own set of dice!
Guides : https://roll20.net/compendium/dnd5e/BookIndex This has all your basics for free, but does lack in some of the more finer details. McKays may have some for cheap!
ConNooga will sometimes have DnD games set up for people to walk up and play, as well as vendors who have guides and dice for sale!
Do you have a smart phone? If so, use it to go here ( https://www.speedtest.net ) and test the internet speed you are getting from your router.
Really any new device, from a $200 Chromebook to a thousand dollar gaming PC should benefit from the fast internet speeds. I personally have had to use both of those things on my home wifi over the past few months and it is always blindingly fast.
Attended a Chattanooga Organized for Action meeting last night (COA) for the first time. Been meaning to for quite a while. Anyhow, they meet on Thursdays from 6pm until whenever at the Camphouse on Williams Street, on the Southside.
A peaceful protest is in the works in support of the Postal Service and in solidarity with the Occupation. I encourage everybody to attend the meetings! Some good ideas are floating around there.
Also, a Slut Walk has been scheduled for tomorrow, Oct 1st at 6pm in Miller Park area, I believe. For a good cause.
Edit: I didn't realize that Facebook page existed, thanks very much! Excited about the first General Assembly!
Also, here is the COA Facebook page
You need to go to the Blue Hole on the Ocoee River if you haven't been! It's soo pretty & not to be confused with the Soddy Daisy version of the Blue Hole. It's the site of the 1996 Olympic kayaking, but on Tues & Wed, the river is turned off and you can go swimming. They have little rock tunnels you can swim through, as well as just gorgeous scenery all around you. Me and my gf take our dogs out there at least once a week, we have a little private spot we go to. The price is only $3 to park, then you can stay as long as you want. They have lots of swimming holes, biking, hiking, etc. It's pretty perfect, and the drive out is beautiful.
EDIT: Here's a video I took there a few days ago (it was to show my mom a certain butterfly), fast forward to about 2:00 in the video and you get an idea of the layout.
There's actually a parking lot really close to Snooper's Rock. It's probably about 0.1 - 0.2 miles of a "hike" to get to the rock from there. https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/tennessee/snoopers-rock-trail
Map there. Not sure if it has the shorter route on it.
> Only 20% of the south owned slaves
The confederacy didn't just stand for slavery, it stood for white supremacy. All those poor whites who volunteered to fight for the confederacy did so to preserve their position in the racial hierarchy.
Here's a relevant paragraph from James MacPherson's Battle Cry of Freedom: The Civil War Era
> So they undertook a campaign to convince nonslaveholders that they too had a stake in disunion. The stake was white supremacy. In this view, the Black Republican program of abolition was the first step toward racial equality and amalgamation. Georgia’s Governor Brown carried this message to his native uplands of north Georgia whose voters idolized him. Slavery “is the poor man’s best Government,” said Brown. “Among us the poor white laborer . . . does not belong to the menial class. The negro is in no sense his equal. ... He belongs to the only true aristocracy, the race of white men” Thus yeoman farmers “will never consent to submit to abolition rule,” for they “know that in the event of the abolition of slavery, they would be greater sufferers than the rich, who would be able to protect themselves. . . . When it becomes necessary to defend our rights against so foul a domination, I would call upon the mountain boys as well as the people of the lowlands, and they would come down like an avalanche and swarm around the flag of Georgia.”
For what it’s worth, I’ve had similar neck issues because of stress for about a year. I got a neck massager like this and it’s worked wonders - I have range of motion back! Added bonus: No risk of exposure to covid.
If this isn’t your thing or doesn’t help, I agree with the recommendations here to see a PT.
Hey Jim!
I buy them in 15-pound increments from Amazon. This is the brand I buy in bulk, but it's basically 3x5 pound sacks, which you can order individually at a slightly higher unit price. The chickpeas are high quality without any ugly ones you need to pick out. They're a little more expensive than other bean types, but $0.17/oz is pretty cheap compared to cans and you don't end up with nearly as much packaging waste.
If you're going from dry and happen to have a pressure cooker, it's super convenient. I put dry beans (no soaking) in my pressure cooker for about 60 minutes, when they come out, they're immediately ready to get blended with tahini, garlic, lemon juice, and spices/add-ins of your choice. A high power blender or food processor should do the trick. I find myself making a big container of hummus about once a week and we snack on it ALL the time--veggies, bread, pretzels, whatever.
I'd wager my final cost for it comes out to ~$3-4/pound, which is probably 25% of the store bought version.
Went to best buy and got a 32 gb card when it came in. Installed in no time, wires are pretty much out the way. Great little camera. Pro-tip: Rather than relying on the camera to pick up a license plate of something you see notable, say it out loud while you can see it so you have an audio recording of it at the time.
The crucial part about most of the tiki recipes is crushed ice. You can get a bag of ice from Sonic, or you can buy yourself a lewis bag and mallet and make your own crushed ice.
The drink mixer is to quickly mix the drink and not over dilute the drink, but a couple of quick shakes in a cocktail shaker is perfectly fine without having to buy another piece of equipment.
If you want a drink mixer, this Hamilton Beach is perfectly adequate for a home bar.

Decent board, decent price. Shipped by Amazon and arrival before the 1st.
However, due to a quirk in TN's laws, ~~Farm Bureau plans qualify as coverage for avoiding the penalty.~~
FB plans cover less stuff than ACA plans are required to and they can discriminate against some pre-existing conditions, so they are cheaper. That's one of the reasons TN's ACA plans have skyrocketed in price and so many insurers simply pulled out of the TN ACA marketplace - healthy people could go with FB plans but sicker people could not. Thus the ACA plans in TN have a higher concentration of sick people than ACA plans in the rest of the country and prices had to go up to match the risk.
A couple of months ago the president signed an executive order allowing all 50 states to have FB-style plans too - yet another stealth attack on ACA viability. Totally screwing people who need ACA-levels of coverage but aren't poor enough to receive subsidies.
ETA: FB plans do not get you out of the ACA penalty, but for many people the cost of the penalty plus the cost of the FB plan is still cheaper than an ACA-compliant plan (that is, if you are healthy enough). Here are the penalties for 2017, they are pegged to inflation so 2018 penalties are not expected to be much higher.
The EPB router may have PP2P or L2TP already built in which is what you use to connect to your VPN service. I'd check that. That way you save $100~$200.
Any major VPN service will have a way to connect via those two. I pay for Torguard myself and they have those.
Actually come to think of it, if all you want is the PS5 to be behind the VPN to mostly get around regional restrictions, it might have settings under network configurations. Most VPN services will also have proxy settings available, might be listed as SOCKS, that will work. If the PS5 takes a username and password under proxy settings you can set up just for that device.
They can't see the traffic but know where it is going buy that always doesn't tell you much. Most everything is HTTPS. What isn't encrypted is DNS, so you might want to look into a service to encrypt that.
You can use really just about any router to tunnel traffic from the router through the VPN. Asus is a good brand and easy to use.
Here is Torguards tutorial to set up VPN use on Asus.

Here is Asus ui demo so you can step through the process before you buy.

If you are using rented equipment, good luck. Most routers support VPNs. Your VPN provider should have a walk through on the help section. I know before I used NordVPN and they had one in their help section and asus did as well
Many modern routers support OpenVPN, so whatever router you buy just make sure it has that. I use a TP-Link with EPB and it has OpenVPN which is what you need for Nord, etc. https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-WiFi-Router-AX1800-Smart/dp/B085288G3M
I made a few like this out of a scrap piece of wood and coat hangers.
I haven't shopped around much for pre-made ones, but I did buy this model a few years ago and it was terrible compared to my DIY one, so I returned it. I'm sure there are better ones available, but I haven't looked much.
Free raised beds, somebody should go get these. I’d haul them for you, but I’m out of town this week. They’re not mine, I just saw something about doing raised beds near one of the housing projects.
From what I last heard, the land was up for sale however it is still publicly used and Rock Creek held the Stump Jump 50k anyways. I just created an AllTrails route (I work there) so you should be able to access the trail now
https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/tennessee/mushroom-rock-via-shackleford-park-trail
Only the entrance near the tunnel is closed but the rest is open :) been there a few times this month!
Check out this trail on AllTrails. https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/tennessee/stringers-ridge-via-blue-trail?p=-1
Another option:
Check out this trail on AllTrails. https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/tennessee/sunset-rock-via-bluff-trail
You could make it longer by adding on some of the other connected trails in the area.
That's funny, I got it for my wife and yours got it for you lol. I'm not venturing into that sub yet I just did some looking on my own. I'm thinking about something cheap first to try like this one it's pretty highly rated and it'll do the job, at least to set if it's worth it.
(made me change url to full Amazon url)
At large dogs are illegal, so keep calling McKamey and the police. You need to have a written record. McKamey has to files reports. You can do so from inside your home anonymously when you see them running loose.
Carry this and spray them each time when outside. Test spray it first: It doesn't have great range, and you want to account for the wind. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MIP6X06/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
To add...with binoculars being permitted and beers like $15 each I'd also highly suggest bringing this
I bought this for all my family’s cars’ center console. Sprays 18 feet. https://www.amazon.com/SABRE-Red-Pepper-Gel-Strength/dp/B004NKSPR8
There's only like 10 to 12 families who control Chattanooga and the surrounding areas:

We makes our owns. We bought us a book on how to do it yo. We be puttin like herbs and shit in there. Like lemon all up in that bitch too. We bought us a book on it. I ain’t never use store soap no mo. Even when I be at a hotel I still don’t use them lil onez even tho they free. - I bring our homemade onez. But we don’t sell em. We just be givn em fo presents and shit but I got so mad because they be look’n so damn cute my mom ain’t never used em - she jus like put em inna bafroom fo sho. And I was all like, “Momma! Why you ain’t never used my soap to wash yoself?! That- that like havn a car and you ain’t never drive it! Or that like you pay a hoe and all you do is cuddle!” Well she didn’t like that hoe comment too much. But once you make those things it be takin like 6 weekz till you can use em. This the book:
I usually don't have a ton of luck, but the last time I went with my Dad the water was down. The water seemed clearer than normal, and we caught and released probably 20+ each. Mainly they were bream/sunfish including a couple very nice bream. I caught my first pearch last trip plus 3 rock bass. Saw a gar chilling which I spooked too. I don't have much luck from the Gann Store entrance to the dam, but I have better luck from the dog park to the Gann Store entrance. The last time I went with Pops he used live worms then switched to Bobby garland. I used yozuri pins minnow floating the whole time. Pops was doing better with live bait until he ran out. I usually pay $5-$7 pur lure.
There’s actually a book that was written by the owner (?) of Chattanooga Ghost Tours and contains several ghost stories! It was such a fun read… but I also didn’t realize how haunted this city is. lol

I can only recommend Shallowford Animal Hospital. They were very honest with me about a sick pet before and I really appreciated their honesty.
I take my cat now and they are very sweet and work great around covid.

^Is the year that the jump happens. Happy to be proven wrong if I'm just missing something though!
Happy Cake Day. You have to get in touch with Amazon customer service. My preferred method is to use their chat feature on their "Contact Us" page. You usually get connected to a rep within a few seconds and it's handled efficiently. But you could probably also send an e-mail or call, if you preferred. Just let them know the order # and the discrepency between estimated arrival and delivery, and they should be willing to issue the extension for you.
Good stuff out by the Hiwasee and Reliance tn:
Certainly too late of a reply for you, but maybe it will help the next person.
I've had no issues "dealing" with Mennonites. The only "unusual rule" (rule-of-thumb) is for women not to wear anything too revealing at their market (e.g. strapy top, low cut shirt, etc.). They won't deny you entrance, but they have a sign asking you to observe this on your next visit.
There's not much to do in Athens on a Saturday. It's a neat old town that still looks very 1920-30's, and the downtown is still somewhat viable. That will take ~15 minutes to see.
The Mayfield Dairy tour gets some decent ratings on trip advisor. You get two scoops of ice cream at the end of the tour.
The big draw of this area is outdoor activities. Starr Mtn., Gee Creek, Hiwassee River -- hiking, biking, horseback riding, river tubing, canoeing, camping, shooting, hunting, fishing, etc., etc., etc. (we spent today exploring some of the horse trails on mountain bikes).
There's also a winery on the way to the Mennonite market and a gliderport that offers rides for $$$.
I’m not really convinced you need a better router, as yours should already handle the gig. Have you done a speed test (https://www.speedtest.net) or contacted the free 24/7 EPB support line to get you to your correct speed?
Most people are going to suggest a similar spec device such as a Netgear Nighthawk R7000, which is comparable to yours already. See this article https://networkingdeviceslab.com/netgear-r6400-vs-r6700-vs-r7000/
Get with an EPB tech before you waste your money.
Mountain bike: There are rentals at Suck Creek Cycle. Bauxite Trails and Enterprise South are super beginner-friendly.
Climb: There's a climbing gym right in downtown, High Point. They have gear rentals and everything you need. You can climb the auto-belays if you don't know how to belay or don't have a partner, or just boulder (climb low stuff without a rope, there are pads).
Hike: See alltrails.com
Make stuff: There's a makerspace called Chattlab where you can build cool shit.
If you want more active-participation type things, check out meetup.com and plug in your interests!

The original plan was to just create a simple table for that, and then I saw that someone posted about LA's. So if it's good enough, we could see about throwing a link over there.
Instead of messing with the antenna we were watching WTVC and had no issues last night.
It could be the weather as to why you dropped the channel. I am behind a ridge where movements of millimeters on the antenna mean signal or not.
I am currently using this Stellar Labs 30-2476. Before I had a Winegard that worked great at my old residence but was not good enough to pick up VHF-Hi at my current location.

Lots of good trails in the area. Lula Lake is nice but by the mtn. I go to Stringers Ridge pretty much every week and Fredonia Mtn often.
See if this has what you need. AllTrails
There's an app as well.
And Heres Hawaii 439. I mean its 3 stops, but still
FWIW, justwatch is an excellent site to find out where a show or movie is available for streaming. They currently search 85 different streaming services (not all of which are available in the US).

Anchor it to the porch or wall. It sucks to have to do it, but one or two stolen packages and it pays for itself.
Here's a chart of average highs and lows for february (roughly 55° and 36° respectively)
We've been regularly seeing lows that are 15° above normal. That's global warming folks. Imagine what would like in the summer - night-time lows of 85° or higher. Of course its not that straight-forward, but close enough for reddit.
Here is the weather forecast for the next 90 days. It looks like you should be in the clear for a week beginning on Sunday, Feb. 24th to next Sunday, March 3rd. You may be able to keep the 28th deadline if they start that Monday to Wednesday (25-28th).

Is brick and mortar banking a requirement for you? If not, I'd recommend Schwab's investor checking account. The real benefit of it is no ATM fees at any machine in the world - they reimburse you at the end of each month for any fees incurred during withdrawal. They also offer bill pay. I've been a satisfied customer for about 5 years but also use USAA for a shared account with my wife where our auto loan is and Regions for my limited brick and mortar needs.
I also support credit unions but didn't love the online interfaces for the two I tried out. Neither of those was local to Chattanooga though.
I'm not much of a cyclist but I am vaguely aware of a bike trail from Red Bank to the Soddy area. It's a big loop, I believe. Red Bank is not far from where you are in terms of biking, so that might be something good for you to look into. I did a google search and found this map which makes mention of Daisy Mtn., with which I am unfamiliar.
Sorry to be vague, but thought I'd throw my two cents in. Also, back by the Moccasin Bend golf course is a wooded area which may or may not have bike trails. I'm fairly certain it does, and I believe it's called Blue Blazes (?). Cheers
I really like to park at the Cumberland Trail lot there and hike it but you can definitely park in a little lot and walk to it in a minute.

You sound like me! Fiancé and I live in Mobile, mid-20s/early 30s, want to relocate to TN/SC/NC sometime in the next few years, no kids planned for at least a few years. I'm in marketing, he's in software development, both working on master's degrees.
We visited Chattanooga for a few days back in July and had a great time. If you and your SO have time, I would recommend doing the same with some of your top city choices. We found somewhere to stay on Airbnb since it was comparable to a cheap hotel (in some cities, much cheaper!) but nicer and gave us a better idea of what it would be like to live in the city.
Ostracon does do hard drive recovery.
You might want to try this before you take it to anyone. Someone below mentioned a live cd of linux.
That really sucks! I guess he doesn't really care about the business that much if he's not willing to try to fix things for customers who were treated like crap.
If I were you, I'd probably email him back and specifically ask him if he can give you anything to recompense you for being treated so badly. And I'd probably show him this thread as well showing him how Reddit is ranked as the #66 most popular web site in the U.S. so a lot of people are seeing how badly his company treats their customers. ;)
Have the gig and the Nighthawk, its great, but I moved and only get 33mbps now, according to Fast.com. Any advice? I'm on Ethernet, literally next to the modem.
edit: 26 ping also
Linksys WRT1900AC
Fast.com 900-950 Mbps down, 910-960 up 1ms latency
OT but relevant
After a couple years of flawless 1gig EPB Internet two months ago I started having all kinds of surfing issues. I monkeyed with different DNS servers but no improvement. Only a reboot would temporarily help. I had made zero changes or firmware upgrades on my end before surfing issues.
I got a tip - turn off IPV6. And in two weeks haven't had the bad behavior since. YMMV.
BTW Fast.com is Netflix .
I also wouldn't trust anyone to wipe my info when donating something.
You'll either have to pay someone to do it, or use something like https://dban.org/ - I personally just DBAN everything before getting rid of it, as it's easy and free; it just takes a while to run.
With phones, a factory reset will be good enough to protect your info, unless the government is after you or something.
EDIT: Securely deleting a SSD for free is slightly more difficult than an old magnetic drive, but also fairly straightforward. I'd start here - https://kb.iu.edu/d/aiut
I'm more into hard rock and metal, so I just go to Mayhem Fest in Atlanta. Strangely enough, a friend of mine is in a Jazz trio, and I really like listening to their stuff.
You should be able to contest it directly with the company that issued it. You can do like this guy did and send a letter asking for it to be dismissed. They might just so they won't have to go through the hassle of fighting it in court. https://www.minds.com/blog/view/257176092094238720/how-to-beat-a-photo-enforced-speeding-ticket-or-red-light-ticket
> Main thing is understanding the risks and dynamics of kickback
Yep this. I can't tell you how many trees I have cut over the years...worn out 4 chainsaws over 30 or so years.
Not once have I had kickback...not once.
Don't cut with the tip and you eliminate 95% of the risk. Still - I wear my kevlar overalls, gloves and full face goggles every time
Should be sold with every chainsaw IMHO https://smile.amazon.com/Husqvarna-587160704-Technical-Apron-38-Inch/dp/B00STHFARY/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=chainsaw+chaps&qid=1634261207&sr=8-5
Amazon has a solution for Fire TV users that works with their cheap fire tv stick called Recast that allows you to use an antenna for locals and give you DVR functionality. It’s pretty sweet.
This Book talks about the pools and gives a bunch of other examples how when non-whites had access to the same things as whites, those things suddenly went away.
I use one for my basement. Only had it for a month but it's made a huge difference down there. My office is in the basement so it was essential. I bought this one on recommendations after the Easter tornado, but haven't had a chance to put it to the test yet since our weather has been (thankfully) pretty tame since then:

There is a quantitative difference between "things I don't like" and "things that are active disinformation." I don't like Atlas Shrugged, or Wuthering Heights, but they have literary and historical merit. Ann Coulter calling people she disagrees with "demonic" doesn't have any place in a public library, unless it is specifically labeled as propaganda. and placed in context.
crawfish trap and you have all you can eat .. no need to pay for what you can get for free

After reading The E-Myth I realized I no longer wished to be a full-time residential sub-contractor. I have since fired almost all of my homeowner clients, and only do occasional side jobs for outstanding and multiple-property-owning clients.
