If you have an Android phone, you should try the My Disney Infinity Collection app. You can keep track of owned/wanted figures and power discs, as well as all current data for all characters, play sets, power discs, adventures, red capsules, green capsules, vaults & golden missions. It's very handy!
Yes, Spiderman's symbiote costume increases the area pick-up range.
Note: full list of marvel costume secondary abilities can be found here.
Nice! Thanks for the heads up. I've never checked CostCo before, because I don't have one in my area, but I can add them to the posts in the future if it's something you guys want to see.
Edit: It seems like all they have is starters on their website, and they're listed at $59.99 for me. Maybe it's a regional thing?
Hey OP, you should totally look into this: http://camelcamelcamel.com/
It's a website and a browser plugin that lets you set alerts for when something hits the price you want. Very legit and very helpful for value gamers like you and me. :)
This was removed automatically for containing a shortlink. I've taken the risk and expanded it for our users' sake. It goes here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tuyware.mydisneyinfinitycollection
Nothing malicious going on here.
Edit: Hmm, it appears the parent commenter, /u/Resolution_Ancient, is also shadowbanned (their account page doesn't exist), so I guess I'll re-remove the parent. Not sure if their account was flagged for spam or whatever. Their link does go to DI collection software on the Play store, but take caution in downloading anything you're not comfortable with.
Yea I'm looking for BNiB so kijiji is usually a pain, Dollarama where I live (AB) had DI 1.0: dash, woody, violet, ms. incredible, and a couple others i cant remember, and DI 2.0: rocket raccoon, green goblin, and nick fury i think. I had like 10 characters left so I just completed my collection off amazon.
If you want to easily keep track of your collection, try out this app if you have android (not sure if on iOS as well): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tuyware.mydisneyinfinitycollection&hl=en
just wishlist everything you need and filter by wishlist.
> Did you film this on PC or what?
Yep, I filmed it on PC using OBS. It's pretty good, but every now and then there's a stutter I can't seem to eliminate. It also really doesn't like recording over 29 FPS, but I'm using an ancient CPU, ancient RAM, and a mid-to-low range GPU. I'm just thrilled it works as well as it does!
> also can you make a new video that explains on characters for ranged like iron man if its more viable to go into his charge up tree and charge every single attack. or focus on not using that and instead maximizing the individual blaster bolt spam.
This is an interesting topic. I played through all the 2.0 play sets three times each (Iron Man's unlockable in all three), and I always relied heavily on Iron Man's fully-charged ranged attack, which even on extreme difficulty, was able to take out most non-boss enemies in just a few hits.
It's not very conducive to comboing, though, for obvious reasons. For playing against another person, it's also a completely different matter. Sadly, with no multiplayer to speak of on PC, I don't get the chance to practice against real people anymore these days.
It's still an interesting question from a perspective of comboability, though, and now you've got me wondering if I can figure out a way to sneak a full charge of his ranged attack into a combo somewhere (though I doubt it). I'll definitely investigate this later!
Easiest way (not cheapest) to get the Light FX is to grab them all from Walmart. Not sure how they nailed down all the store exclusives but 7 of them are there:
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Disney-Infinity-3.0-Light-FX-Figures-7-Pack-Universal/54245544
As for cheap, Meijer has all star war figures for $2.50 a piece and playsets for $5. Not sure if yer near one of them though. Wait till TRU has buy one, get 3 free. They did it a couple times now, otherwise their full price isn't worth it. Good luck!
Oh, you're not responding to the same guy, btw. I didn't notice this message because it was a reply to /u/Werewolf_by_Day.
> I don't know how you managed to record those
I used OBS.
> but couldn't it just be recorded the exact same way only with the sound effects volume on zero?
It definitely could. My point was just that, since I didn't play through the playset that way originally, I would have to replay the whole thing that way, recording the whole thing again.
It's a pretty huge undertaking (especially because I'm a very busy man!), but I've been watching this post for the past couple weeks to see if anyone else would step up to help. Since nobody has, I'm still hoping to help more at some point, at least.
> Either way I will try to see what I can get from the movie files you mentioned. Please send them. :)
Sure! It's over 4 gigs of playthrough, though, so I'm going to go through and cut out just the parts with Kylo Ren, both to make it easier on you, and to reduce the bandwidth load (I have caps, even on my home internet).
I'll get to work on that and get back to you soon!
I ordered mine from Jet.com. Got it for $9.80. I also got free shipping using my Apple device, your milage may vary.
Best Buy is offering a free character with a preoder
I will continue to post any good deals if I come across any.
Ah. You may want to try xbox360ce: http://www.x360ce.com/. It's an xinput wrapper that can make non-xinput devices be detected as an xbox 360 controller in games. YMMV, but the Logitech Dual Action gamepad seems to be lited.
I saw this Wii U starter pack that has the portal, 2.0 game, and some Marvel Heroes for $14.
I might just get that if all I really need is a portal...
Bought them on amazon, I'm going to need to buy more for my Amiibo and Skylanders, I think I'm going to build some out of Legos for the Lego dimensions though (my wife had the idea) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000KG05VI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I'm using Snapware Snap 'N Stack. Each one can house up to 48 figures and the top stack is capable of holding the larger/taller Disney Infinity figures.
Not the best price, but Amazon has Baymax. https://www.amazon.com/Disney-Infinity-Originals-Figure-Machine-Specific/dp/B00MCC35DS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1476660562&sr=8-1&keywords=disney+infinity+baymax
We have now, via Amazon.co.uk: Finding Dory Play Set Piece.
Amazon have the Marvel Battlegrounds Power Disc pack for $1.99 as well, just in case it sells out at BB: http://www.amazon.com/Disney-Infinity-Battlegrounds-Not-Machine-Specific/dp/B01ALRCDC4/ref=sr_1_11?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1461542277&sr=1-11&keywords=disney+infinity+3.0
This is the first Disney Infinity game. All figures and power discs for this game will be forward compatible with Disney Infinity 2.0 and 3.0.
A young girl will have plenty of fun with this and will be able to carry her character's progress forward to 2.0 and 3.0 when she's finished the first Disney Infinity.
It's where I would start.
XBOXONE has a platform that only works on XBOXONE. You will need a new base. The cheapest way to get a new base is from amazon with the 2.0 toybox starter kit. $13.46 and it includes 2 characters as well.
http://www.amazon.com/Disney-INFINITY-Starter-Pack-Edition-Xbox/dp/B00MCC372M
http://www.amazon.com/Disney-INFINITY-Starter-Pack-Edition-Xbox/dp/B00MCC372M
This is the 2.0 playbox starter kit -- $13.50 or so. Then just buy the 3.0 digitally and find the best 'deal' on any console. The figures will work on your 2.0 base.
The 2.0 Marvel Starter Pack is $18.80 on Amazon for the PS3 right here: http://www.amazon.com/Disney-INFINITY-Marvel-Heroes-Starter-PlayStation/dp/B00KWHOXE0/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1459399446&sr=8-9&keywords=disney+infinity+2.0
Thanks for the info, I guess I was curious because in Amazon there is a goldish colored box and it's crystal Mickey boasting special powers. So wasn't sure if all crystal Mickeys had special powers or if it was this one on Amazon. And it's not a total loss because A.) I might be able to return it and B.) I don't have crystal Mickey so still needed this for my collection. But thank you everyone for the information!
Disney Infinity Crystal Sorcerer's Apprentice Mickey Exclusive Powers https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00M1JUDRS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_keZ6wb750M02R
This is the starter pack for Disney Infinity 2.0 which is a better game overall then the first Disney Infinity and is actually cheaper.
I'd still probably start with the first game but there really is no penalty to starting here. If the girl is a big Marvel fan, this may be the place to start. If she is a bigger Disney fan, I might start with the first Disney Infinity.
Depending on your budget I would get the saga set 3.0 from Best Buy if you have the gamers card it's 59.99 instead of the normal $90. Then you can buy a 2.0 starter kit for marvel for like $15(everything you'd need for marvel playset). If you would like to try it out if just get the marvel starter kit then grab the saga later but at the moment the saga bundle is a great price for the contents of you are new and plan on getting majority of the figures.
I bought my marvel starter kit from Amazon was cheapest I saw you can switch to what system you want it's default to ps4. Also check your clearance section at Walmart or GameStop always lots of goodies there you much can get one even cheaper
Disney INFINITY: Marvel Super Heroes (2.0 Edition) Video Game Starter Pack - PlayStation 4 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KWHOXGI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_iyx2wb196V2RM
Star Wars saga bundle 3.0 74.99 without the gamers card with card it's 59.99 but the subscription to the card is $30 for 2 years it evens out if you don't have it but the card will save you on future purchases of you buy a lot of games and such http://www.bestbuy.com/site/disney-infinity-3-0-edition-star-wars-saga-bundle-playstation-4/4211101.p?id=1219707776386&skuId=4211101
I have ps4 and xb1, i have played it on both. Ps4 will run better, but not really enough to notice. We purchased it for xb1 for one reason, Xbox One Mini Series Wired Controller (Xbox One), Blue https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00SIBKZTE/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_pWgYwbY6G9MK5
They dont make a smaller ps4 controller, my daughter is 4 and the mini xb1 controller is perfect for her hands. It doesnt matter which system you get it on, if you dont have either, and the controller doesnt matter get the ps4. Double usebase, psvr, and great exclusives. I belive more and more xb1 exclusives will have crossplay and pc releases also.
Finding it != Find it cheap
Amazon
eBay
Thanks for the info! I just updated the post. The new best deal is at Amazon, for $18.95.
Awesome, thanks. I'd opt for the expensive paint if it's a one time thing.
EDIT: Looks like it's $5 on Amazon? Doesn't seem that bad. Hard part now is matching the color.
Maybe one of these?
I was able to pickup Falcon and the Nick Fury special edition for less than $12 shipped.
Here's the Nick Fury. Best Buy still has it for $8.99.
It's currently £5 new on amazon.co.uk - I'm not sure what the postage/import costs would be like, but it might be worth investigating?
There are a total of 4 game discs for 2.0, 2 come in the Marvel starter, and 2 in the Toy Box starter.
If you don't already own Stitch/Merida figures you can actually find the toy box starter for ~$20 on Amazon and price match
the 2.0 collectors edition (ps4) is $55 at Amazon
So I need that and this?:
http://www.amazon.com/Disney-Infinity-3-0-Edition-Takeover-Expansion/dp/B00YZ3V1EW
Oh well, that's still much cheaper than buying him a whole new 3.0 set.
Thank you!!
If you ONLY want to play Marvel or Star Wars, then no. This particular deal is only for the Stitch and Merida one. It doesn't come with anything Marvel. You would be better off getting the Marvel Starter Pack for your desired platform.
If you're interested in the other characters, this is a great deal as the characters are normally $14 new (each). You're essentially getting 2 figures, 2 expansion games, a base and the game disc for a little more than the price of one figure.
As the other commenter said, Star Wars is 3.0. That's another game entirely, so this pack wouldn't help with that at all.
That is my understanding, and is why I'm not doing the in-app purchase myself yet.
But remember, the price at retail is $20. Sure, that will get it for you on every console, PC, Android, and iOS, and other digital platforms they add in the future too, but if you're only going to play on Android, that $6.99 IAP price is a way to save some cash.
(This is a trend in every Disney Infinity in-app purchase I've looked at. It's a good bit cheaper than getting the physical toy and using the web code, but also a good bit more limited.)
Really? That's weird. I heard that the digital version was available in America but it was the standalone disc version that was only available in the UK
Good catch! That's even better deal. I wish I could replace my OP with your comment...in any event, here's a link for anyone who wants one.
I got them at Toys R Us in Canada amazon.ca
I like that idea! Add the flash sales. Can't hurt right? Then maybe add a note at the top of the post with a "Last updated" kind of thing?
I just stumbled onto this deal, not that bad considering Violet is in the pack. Rapunzel (8.99) & Vanellope (8.99), with Violet (14.99 used) all for $20.99
Can't beat that magic.
> However stitch only comes with the toy box edition of 2.0. Do you will have to buy him used to get him as a single figure.
Stitch is absolutely available for single purchase (same with Merida). Your local Walmart shelves are probably overflowing with them (mine are).
I got one of these from Game Stop for $13 right after Christmas:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CDW2CK4
It stores probably around 12 to 18 figures (don't know for sure as I only have 6 out of their boxes so far), the base, and power discs. It lets me pack everything up after I'm done playing and keep it all out of sight of my 3yo.
