Oh wow, my heart just swelled reading the lineup. I preordered Stephanie’s book the other day, I recommend y’all do the same. https://www.amazon.com/Everything-Horrible-Wonderful-Tragicomic-Memoir/dp/1492664103
I have that same feeling when I'm around heights. Apparently it's a real thing.
>“What we found is that people were misinterpreting a safety signal from their brains, which are always firing so fast,” Hames said. “In that situation (when you’re on a cliff, or a bridge, or driving past an oncoming car), your mind is actually saying, ‘You’re in an unsafe situation—back up from the ledge.’ People usually obey that signal and back up. But we can misinterpret that and think, ‘I must have reacted that way because I wanted to jump.’”
I believe Stitcher Premium content has slowly required the Stitcher Premium app to be version 4.0.0 or newer.
The Stitcher app in the Amazon app store is still at version 3.1.7. You might want to send an email to to ask them about getting the Amazon app store version updated.
Alternatively, if you feel comfortable trying to install an app, you could try and download an updated APK (think of it as a setup file like you'd use in Windows) using a site like Apk4Fun.
Hmm does this relate to the "(S)-P-O-N-T" tweet? (via /u/StevenSanders90210 )
And Paul's Instagram post? (via /u/pumpkinoatmeal )
You have to listen to the rest of the album. Its on spotify. I started from the first track and listened to it straight through and its a pretty whole story told through raps/songs.
Also Lin-Manuel Miranda annotated all the lyrics on genius (http://genius.com/albums/Lin-manuel-miranda/Hamilton-original-broadway-cast-recording).
I listened to it while following along with the lyrics and checking the meanings. Pretty awesome.
For me the underdog moment (giving all necessary respects to farts and pro, knifegrab, two thumbs and not much else, and iBrain) is the would you rather from the 2013 NYC live show with Chris Gethard, PFT, and Paul Scheer.
The episode was part of the CBB tour, but you can listen to the episodes on stitcher for free if you're cheap.
Came across this while perusing Amazon a couple weeks ago, I haven't read it yet though so can't really speak on its quality.
any podcast app. a lot of people like pocket casts on android (myself included) which is a steal at $4, but even the stock google play app can play RSS feeds
I love all these so much. Would happily 'pay' for them - have Howard set up a https://www.patreon.com/ page or something.
Also, anyone else getting the weird log-in/authentication page when they try go to www.howardkremer.com?
You'd be able to switch to dark theme and have it stick I believe, you wouldn't need to switch every time.
Also: if bright whites are affecting your eyes you should consider downloading F.lux(https://justgetflux.com/) absolutely free and fully customizable for if you need to do color sensitive work. It'll soften the harsh whites on your screen depending on the time of day! It's very unobtrusive too.
OK but which version?
Maybe it's just me, but for me, Reggie's version is probably the best.
But this rendition's also pretty good.
^Who ^recognizes ^where ^it's ^from?
I missed the guest interaction throughout the charts. As mentioned by many other people, we already know where Howard and Kulap stand on music and movies.
I enjoyed the bit of time spent with Wayne, even though it felt a bit scattered with the new question format that they couldn't even stick to. I'm sure it'll get ironed out in the next couple of eps.
The one thing that really bothered me is Howard's "Kids are the Suge Knight of Halloween" shirt. This thing is insulting for $21.99. I was expecting something even a fraction as great like the Gu Cruise shirt. But this is ridiculous.
FINALLY got my podcasts started!
I do two now. Morning Fog is a podcast where every morning at 5:30-6:30 the minute I wake up I record a 5-10 minute podcast where I give my early morning thoughts rants ideas or stories.
It's a fun thing for me to do because I'm an awful morning person, so it's funny to hear my rambles when my brain isn't exactly firing on all cylinders.
And this one is still a bit of a work in progress, but I do a Miami Dolphins podcast called Phins Up Phans Down a podcast where my co-host and I rewatch old dolphins games. The games could be good they could be bad, but the common theme is that they ultimately disappoint us.
This one is a blast to do, but it's far more technical in terms of production than my little morning podcast so the first two episodes I released as pilot episodes until I can work out the audio kinks.
Anyway if you decide to check em out, they're on iTunes stitcher Google play all the stuff. Enjoy!
"Whalt GUEST • 5 years ago I have to concur. I don't mean to be cruel but I was shocked to find out Harris Wittels wasn't a character. Checked his twitter feed and some of his stand up clips and realized that he really is that painfully unself-aware. I would feel sorry for him but apparently he's managed to parlay his dimwitted mascot to actually funny people status into some cushy gigs. Depressing or uplifting? I can't decide which. He is the "Radio" of comedy radio."
By the way, the fact that you're able to overlook Harris' comedic brilliance sort of makes it seem like you might be the one who's "painfully unself-aware."
EDIT: Sorry to keep going, but YOU would feel sorry for HARRIS? Now that's comedy.
If anyone wants to read up on the sketchiness of Brilliant Earth, here's a good article. This video also covers their attempt to go after the youtuber that exposed them. (Apparently they ended up settling the defamation lawsuit out of court, so they've still never really had to prove their claims of ethical sourcing.)
If the Boys are going to continue to shill for them, they really need to start dragging them harder in the ad reads.
Any shows that offer the option for direct donations always have a donate button at the bottom of their main show page on Earwolf.com, which redirects you to Gumroad. There are options for one-time and recurring donations.

The morning one is something mainly just to help me wake up in the mornings and rant about stupid stuff. It's fun, but the Dolphins one I'm really excited to keep working on and making it the best it can be. It has a lot of fun potential come season time.
Anyway if you decide to check em out, they're on iTunes stitcher Google play all the stuff. Enjoy!

You don't need to give them your credit card number and you can listen online. Tim Timebomb episodes are available on demand, but only for a few weeks after they air, so listen soon.
I love the sentiment and the timing, but it still bothers me that it's not an actual full-sized anvil. It looks more like this anvil on amazon which is only 55 lbs. "Real" anvils are at least 300 lbs and can cost over $2000. I know that's beyond the realm of reasonable possibility, but still. I actually briefly considered starting a gofundme for this silly in-joke...
Hello Ttoki my friend,
I hope you didn't think I forgot about you. On the contrary, I've been thinking about you every day for the last 15 days. I apologize for the delay. I finally found time to get on my computer. As it turns out, I deleted the original ringtone I posted like a real doofus. However, was I about to let my friend Ttoki down? No! Of course not!
Here is the mp3 file for the ringtone. I wasn't sure which kind of phone you had on your person.
"But RedFrogMario, I have an iPhone and I don't know how to make an iPhone text tone from an mp3 file :("
FRET NOT, MY GOOD FRIEND. I have made one of those as well.
I hope that this satisfies your needs.
Hello, I'm a bot! The movie you linked is called Baby Driver, here are some Trailers
Yes! My good friend IRL doesn't see the big deal about it but I can't use reddit without it anymore. If you're having lots of issues with eye strain or headaches while on your computer be sure to check out a program called F.lux, too. It can automatically adjust the intensity of your screen at night so your circadian rhythm isn't as disturbed by late night browsing, as well as manually dim your screen with a simple shortcut - which is handy for desktop users who don't have a simple brightness control at their fingertips (like most laptops).
The two that I have, DoggCatcher (linking cause it's a little hard to find) and PocketCasts theoretically let you change the download directory. I can't test it though cause my HTC One doesn't have removable SD cards. Is that what you meant?
You might mean you swap SD cards a lot and want it to recognize the various ones automatically, in which case I dunno
I use Overcast for a number of reasons. The interface is WAY nicer, in my opinion. It has really convenient buttons that let you skip 30 seconds back/forth. It also gives you the option to speed up playback without distorting the sound. I didn't even realize I wanted that feature until I tried it out.
Actually, the initial reason I started using a 3rd party app was that I wanted to get podcasts out of iTunes. Syncing between the phone and iTunes on the PC was cumbersome and always seemed to create problems. Mostly I just want to sync my listening progress so I can pick up listening on any device. Overcast makes this easy because they have a web interface.
I don't know. I thought I found a copy of it in the places one can find these things, but it doesn't look like it's still there? It's Season 3, Episode 16. Looks like [https://www.amazon.com/Chris-Gethard-Show-Season/dp/B074CQK281](it's available for $3 on Amazon), too.

>From Scott Aukerman and the comedic geniuses who created the Comedy Bang! Bang! podcast comes a book that brings the chaotic, hilarious, outrageous characters of the pod to the page > > In Comedy Bang! Bang!: The Podcast, Scott Aukerman transports readers inside the zany world of the Comedy Bang! Bang! podcast. The book features brand-new anecdotes and opinions from the wild cast of recurring characters, and matches the show in tone and wackiness, with essays, lists, plays, nods to running bits, and four-color illustrations throughout, helping to bring the zany, satirical, undefinable world of Comedy Bang! Bang! to the page. > > The book is curated by Aukerman and includes introductions by comedy legend Patton Oswalt, Broadway phenom Lin-Manuel Miranda, and singer “Weird Al” Yankovic. It also features pieces from Bobby Moynihan, Andy Daly, Paul Brittain, Ego Nwodim, and many more, all reprising roles of characters they’ve created for the podcast, taking readers even deeper inside the lives of these off-the-wall personalities.
They optioned a book for the show

Friends of Gabrus talked about it here
I'm looking forward to 101 Places to Party based simply on the episode of the (Bourdain produced) episode of The Getaway that Pally did with his cousin, Gabrus, and Gemberling a few years ago. Shame it doesn't seem to be on stream anywhere right now, just Amazon for purchase. https://www.amazon.com/The-Getaway-13-Season-2/dp/B00OJACSAM
https://www.amazon.com/Live-from-New-York-audiobook/dp/B0735G2S2L/ I think you'll like this if you've not read it already, I got it after I'd probably only ever seen a full episode or two and loved it. Covers the behind the scenes over the decades really well.
Yep, they're shady for sure. But hey, it wouldn't be Midroll if we didn't get a few questionable ads every now & then.

I've recently started doing a podcast where I ask questions of my friends on social media about their romantic relationships and talk about their answers. But rather than giving THEM advice, the idea is to help ME out; I talk about how inexperienced I am with dating and talking to women in general (I'm a straight guy, big surprise). I'd love it if you'd check it out, as I have a lot of fun doing it and have had some great feedback so far but I'd love to reach a wider audience.
While their idea for a new podcast is on hold because of the pandemic, here's another podcast idea for them.
Review this television program.

It sounds like she hates all the praise it received because it wasn't a real game just as much or more than the game itself?
IDK. To me it's gorgeous, great soundtrack and cinematic presentation, solid movement and controls with enough interactivity and exploration to keep you interested, real short so it ends on a high note and doesn't drag on. And the whole seamless random coop element. At the time I really enjoyed the experience and did not know those were real people in my game trying to communicate with and help me (assumed they were NPCs until I saw their PSN names on the credits).
Not something I ever had a desire to pick up and play again, but I might go back eventually now that there's a higher res / quality PC port.
I haven't played Vroom in the night sky but I remember seeing some footage when it was new and I would have never been able to compare that to something like Journey. I kind of get where she's coming from, though.
Downcast has an exporting function. You can use the unofficial RSS feeds to subscribe to your shows through Downcast, and in Downcast download all the episodes you want and export the MP3 files.
they were only on their official buzzsprout rss feed until like a week ago but now they're gone! https://www.buzzsprout.com/127945 i downloaded them a few months ago so i can upload them to google drive if no one else can find them
Also my 2nd podcast, Morning Fog will be releasing its second episode later today, once I get off work. Give that a listen if you want to hear what a shitty morning person I am, and hear tons of yawning. I'm great at the sales pitch here huh?
If only for out doughboying doughboys (and being my favorite ep of one of my new favorite podcasts)
High and Mighty - Talk o' Bell with Betsey Sodaro and Mano Agopian
I'm sure y'all get this a lot. But to be a guest... I'd travel to Chicago & squeeze through the portal, train with a wizard, or just kill all of your enemies in cold blood or do whatever.
Well, I once did a guest appearance for a special April Fools episode on a local politics podcast. It was a loosely planned but entirely improvised. Folks have told me it was pretty funny!

Slightly more expensive but infinitely more convenient would be a SanDisk Sansa or other cheap MP3 player. They're 35 bucks new, and can have Rockbox put on them (although she probably wouldn't even need the third party firmware, but it could help with accessibility potentially).
It just uses a MicroSD card which it comes with, and extra huge ones are insanely cheap. You could have a couple rotating for whenever you see her, assuming you have a card reader and adapters on a computer of yours somewhere.
I use MediaMonkey for Windows. It manages podcasts pretty well, and while I have some issues with it, I'm happy at the moment since I can share my library over UPnP with it. That way I can listen to podcasts on my TV, my PC, or my phone/tablet and keep track of which ones I've listened to.
The only problem I've been having with this setup is that I can't find any way of syncing my progress in a given episode, so I can't start it on one device and finish on another without manually finding where I left off.
> https://unlocator.com[1] I use this for watching blackout out baseball games
This is essential with MLB.tv, I was kind of thrilled with how much other stuff I could use it for (Earwolf stuff especially)
https://unlocator.com I use this for watching blackout out baseball games, but it also allows you to change your region settings for things like amazon prime, Netflix, etc. It is pretty great, the one week trial lets you do everything it can and you don't have to put a card down.
But if you want to stay on-topic for the podcast, use this version: https://www.amazon.com/Stop-Smoking-Coach-NDS-Nintendo-DS/dp/B001EJZ9MK
Forrest returning- a wonderful surprise and a humorous reminder of one of the greatest comedy shows in the history of television. However this is essentially a commercial for a DVD, not even a Blu-ray. Four and a half stars.
I am in Canada and used a VPN ('Private Internet Access') to login with a US location - I think the rules say you have until 5 minutes before this evening's first game to make your picks. I know you can't win the $1 million from the NBA, but bragging rights work anywhere in the world... hope you can make it!
It looks like it's listed everywhere you'd expect, but not actually available to stream/purchase.
[Itunes?(I actually can't find it there)
No, the mouse is in the book and it predates Disney! Ben and Me
Can someone recommend me a good laptop under 600 bucks?
I will be doing some light multitasking such as watching NFL film and writing about my analysis, editing and splicing audio from podcasts, and writing reviews of podcasts like the re-listenings that I occasionally do. Other than that of course general Internet browsing and whatnot.
So I want decent processing power, a 1080p screen, good battery, comfortable keyboard, and portability.
I've been looking on Amazon and found a couple I like, but I'm hesitant and wanted some other opinions on recommended laptops.
Here is the one I'm leaning towards getting. There's a lot I like about it, but I'm not thrilled about a non removable battery, or that it's a plastic shell. The specs are very nice though.
Here is another. The processing power is a bit overkill for what I need it for, and I don't like that it's not a 1080p screen, but generally speaking I love Lenovo for their keyboards and outer shell. They are sturdy and comfortable laptops.
So any of you other nerds wanna try and help me out?
I don't think so. Although UCB does have a touring company, it doesn't feature any of the more established talent really (in terms of performers you might know from TV and whatnot). They did put out an Asssscat DVD awhile back, though.
Deer Stag slippers. Just got a pair of these and they are great. Also, they are relatively inexpensive.
