Dude, these headaches have been so gnarly. I woke up with my head pounding today and couldn't kick it until around 3pm. Now my system is all out of wack and I'm glued to the toilet 🙄 Glad today is Saturday because it hasn't been a productive one!
On a lighter note, made my first official pregnancy purchase today. This pillowlooked amazing and got great reviews. Can't wait to break it in! Already struggling with sleep and hoping this will help 🤞
My concern with the mini crib is how quick can they out grow it. My daughter is tall. She's never been out of the 90 something percentile. My husband is 6ft and I'm 5'2ft so not really something we expected. She outgrows everything before the generalized age. I'd worry about mini cribs falling into that and then either you have to buy a new crib, or transition to a toddler bed early.
This is our glider. It is pretty skinny but not uncomfortably so. The back is high which was a must and it's comfortable. We like it a lot. Now that she's older though we wish we had a rocking recliner (we plan on getting one for toddlers room and putting this one in the baby's room) but we definitely agree that would have been dangerous in the early days. It is very comfortable but not comfortable to fall asleep easily in which is important when they're newborns.
Hey! My husband liked The Birth Partner by Penny Simpkin: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1558329102?tag=duckduckgo-iphone-20&linkCode=osi&th=1&psc=1
He said after reading it, “So basically when you’re in labor I stay out of the way and do whatever you tell me and get you whatever need.” 🙃🙂
Edit: rereading this again: did you want a book for partners on birth, or raising kids? I can give some books on this, too!
Yes! This Spectra S1 plus: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DBKFFJM?tag=duckduckgo-d-20&linkCode=osi&th=1&psc=1
I had no troubles with the pump and I used it every day, probably 6 or so times each day, for 6 months. I liked that it had its own battery and didn’t need to be plugged into a wall, a letdown feature, a 30 min timer, and that I can pump on just one breast if needed. I’ve tried three other brands (Ameda, Medela, and Spectra) and Spectra was my favorite.
One of my good friends got me these hydration powders and I feel like it’s helping so much. I do have to drink with ice but I feel so much better since pregnancy and water drinking apparently aren’t agreeing with me
Liquid I.V. Hydration Multiplier, Electrolyte Powder, Easy Open Packets, Supplement Drink Mix (16 Count) https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01IT9NLHW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_rN7cFbBQ7GH7F
My cup size went up 8+ cup sizes pregnant/postpartum! I immediately bought super stretchy nursing bras similar to these. The specific brand I bought isn't carried anymore. These look to be the same though. I bought based on my band size and did NOT size up for a bigger cup size. They will stretch to accommodate a large range of cup sizes though. When you're nursing, your cup size can very greatly throughout the day.
I got the last of the link below but there’s plenty like it! I read a blog about getting a petal tracker and the peloton app (for way cheaper than peloton) figured it was worth it!
Exercise Bike, DMASUN Indoor Cycling Bike Stationary, Comfortable Seat Cushion, Multi - grips Handlebar, Heavy Flywheel Upgraded Version (Black) https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07X6GHLLT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_VkIeFbE5M2T97
I think this is the one I bought for my first pregnancy but in grey: QUEEN ROSE Pregnancy Body Pillow
It’s still in great shape, and I loved that I could switch sides without having to flip the whole thing over.
I did with my first, only have had two this time.
I found Epsolm salt baths to help the most. I got the eucalyptus one and then just stayed in the bath for as long as possible. I got all of the headaches behind my eyes. So having I've packs helped. I alternated between water and caffeine since both seemed to help me. I also used this stuff which I really found helpful. For the most part I just avoided looking at my phone and reading and went to bed early a lot. They were horrendous and stopped in the second trimester.
Yes to infusing fruits! Gives it a fresh natural taste! Use this pitcher to keep it cold in your fridge! I refill the fruit once a week. Strawberry and cucumber is good. And I also do lemon and cucumber!
Hiware Glass Fruit Infuser Water Pitcher with Removable Lid, High Heat Resistance Infusion Pitcher for Hot/Cold Water, Flavor-Infused Beverage & Iced Tea - 2 Qt https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SQWHMXF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_FLsdFbH6FD86Z
I loved this brand of underwear with my first but they aren't showing exactly what I got with that pregnancy so they may have changed. They fully covered my butt and were under the bump so no pressure. Looks pretty similar to what you go! I also wore these shorts and loved them but they're kind of short.
Adding another one for you! I am not sure where you are located, but here where I live (USA Midwest) winters are frigid and babies can’t have jackets in the car. I’d highly recommend Columbia li baby bunting: https://www.amazon.com/Columbia-Snowtop-Bunting-Outerwear-Paisley/dp/B07K5L7WH2/ref=mp_s_a_1_8?dchild=1&keywords=columbia+baby+bunting&qid=1594606825&sprefix=columbia+baby+&sr=8-8
I just bought some that I love in 5 packs off amazon! So now I have 10 bras that I hope will last me through nursing. I’ll post the links because they are actually super comfortable and very cheap:
“Regular” nursing bras - comes with expanders so they will grow and shrink with you!
Can you order it online? I found it on Amazon Canada- it is the same there (Doxylamine 25mg). Unisom makes capsules that are a different formulation, but the sleep tabs are usually Doxylamine.

Never had this on a car seat but have had people throw up in my car. The best thing to suck the smell out for me has been these charcoal bags on Amazon,
Angbo Activated Bamboo Charcoal Air Purifying Bags for Home, Car and Office, 8 Packs https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QHT1GHS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_GJlaFb8VFVHHZ
I use them everywhere that smells funky, put them in storage boxes so things don’t smell stale. To “recharge” them, you put them out in the sun.
I just bought the Bump to Birthday journal from Amazon. Haven't received it yet but looked pretty promising from the reviews :) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1907048413/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_13e7EbJ0CSMMD
