I have some on amazon https://www.amazon.com/Ceramic-Bearing-Spinners-Nfinite-Spin/dp/B072B5KQ3Q/ref=sr_1_16?ie=UTF8&qid=1493609447&sr=8-16&keywords=r188+hybrid+bearing
I think they are great, especially for the price. The idea was to provide a good bearing with good quality control at a great price.
Check out this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/FidgetSpinners/comments/68d64b/review_nfinitelabs_bearing/
I have compared them extensively to several variations of full ceramics, other hybrids, 10 ball full stainless, 8 ball full stainless, and feel they perform very well. Out of all those options and getting back to your original question I wouldn't recommend anything full ceramic, from my experience they are much louder, not as smooth, and more expensive.
Ya, so I got mine today too. Played with it for about an hour. I love it. I got the bronze because I want a nice patina. In my experience, to get a nice even patina going, polish the crap out of it, then just use it.
So I popped the bearing out, which was easy, done it a million times on other spinners. Went to polishing and got it shined up all good.
Went back to where I popped the bearing out to get it and set it back in. I couldn't find the frikken bearing! I looked everywhere. Ughh..
I figured no biggie. I have an extra One Drop. Then realized I put that in my copper stubby. Crap. I have about a dozen new hybrids and figured I'd just use one of those. Won't be as smooth or quiet, but figured it would be fine. Boy was I wrong. This spinner was made for a lubed One Drop. The hybrid with ti grips was loud!
So I now I have 3 lubed One Drop bearings on order that will be here next week.
Guess it gives me time to ano the grips now, lol.
If you have Facebook, find Blanca Kusumosurarso
She makes custom pouches for stubbies. I've bought one for my og stubby:
and I just ordered another for my tri stubby that will be here Monday. Her work is top notch, but not cheap.
Thanks! I’m pretty happy with it! If you want to learn how to draw 3D just follow this link and check out SketchUp! https://www.sketchup.com/products/sketchup-free There is a tutorial which will get you started. And if you want I’ll do some videos on how to draw some things! I’ll post them on Instagram and here If you want to see more then check out my Instagram @ickabod_007 Cheers
It's a concave optical lens from Amazon. They're quite cheap and work great!
From what I've seen, the two main focal lengths used are 15mm and 20mm but I can't remember off the top of my head which one is more shallow.
Thanks so much for the review, these finally made it to Amazon, if anyone is looking for a replacement check em out. Yes pretty standard 8 ball hybrid, we did look pretty hard for a reliable supplier and perform quality control on our side so I feel its a great affordable option.
/u/RodmanSan is speaking about Snap-ring Pliers. Here is the cheapest on Amazon.
Sure, I got mine from apsung on Amazon, just select the color option and the bearing is listed there. Apsung 6 x17x6mm 606 Hybrid Ceramic Si3N4 Ball Bearings, High Speed Replacement Bearing for Hand Spinner Fidget Toy DIY https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071XSK5G2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_3APdQNf5ADAOS
This works well. I use it to store spinners I'm not displaying in another case.
I bought this screw set from amazon. I just use hex tools that fit, the screw set has them included. When the part that has the slot ends up sticking on the wrong side, then I just twist it off gently with some long nose pliers I have. The button you have on it looks nice!
I would not pay more than $20 for a bearing. The expensive ones tend to be full ceramic, and they are fragile.
I had a look at one of the few 608 spinners that I own (Namaste from Woosah). I like the feel of the bearing -- it gives a nice low-pitched whirring sound and a gentle vibration. That bearing has no shield, silicon nitride balls, metal races, and a crown-style bearing retainer. I found a bearing on Amazon that has these same characteristics ("AnMiao Star 608 Ceramic Ball Bearing") :
I have no idea if this bearing is a close match to the one I have. At least it is low cost, however, so you don't have much to lose.
Right on. Can you show me a photo of your end result? Here is one of mine: https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipM7PnuUoggGJPEaJxcyGtNa8UWHnFfjzdizeQjQn3c9sgRoBvc0L47gK6vPgCbWzQ?key=RTFXbWVpbm9yS3N1dTdLc2I3cWk5d0F5UkpNSVVB It's funny because the photo makes it look way nicer. But it's just the lighting. If it's not under direct light, the colors are very muted.
My OD bearings arrived today. After playing with it for a full day, OMG, this thing is now the benchmark for all others IMO. I have a Tri Copper Stubby arriving tomorrow, and I thought that would be my grail fidgeter. But the cocoon has set the bar pretty high. It's perfect. The weight, not a hot spot in sight, it's just perfect for me. Can't find one flaw with it.
Anodized the buttons and it looks awesome now. I like!
I got one of these ceramic hybrid r188 from https://www.banggood.com/R188-Ceramic-Ball-Bearing-14-x-12-x-316-Inch-Bearing-Fidget-Spinner-Bearing-p-1153045.html?rmmds=myorder which seemed pretty good. The price has now gone down to $0.99 each and I've ordered 3 more. I had a cheap aluminum spinner with an 8 ball steel bearing that was getting a 3:42 table spin go up to 4:54 with this bearing and was noticeably smoother and more quiet. I would recommend it. Took about two weeks to arrive.
Get this https://www.banggood.com/EDC-Aluminum-Alloy-Fidget-Hand-Spinner-Gadget-Tri-Spinner-Finger-Focus-Reduce-Stress-Gadget-p-1141308.html for $3.89 shipped from China.
If you get another dollar later, you can upgrade with this hybrid ceramic r188 bearing https://www.banggood.com/6_35x12_7x4_762mm-Stainless-Steel-Hybrid-Ceramic-R188-Ball-Bearing-for-Fidget-Hand-Spinner-p-1151912.html for $2.08.
The combination is pretty nice. Spins for 3:42 with the bearing it comes with, and 4:54 with the ceramic hybrid bearing (which is like butter.)
It's not a bad reflection. From a marketing point of view, FidgetHQ is probably the exception tho, because they offer both cheap, entry level spinners and exotic materials. This way, they keep the enthusiasts happy but also appeal to people curious about spinners who don't want to pay a lot for their first spinner.
https://www.trafiklite.com/rotablade.com https://www.trafiklite.com/torqbar.com
The premium manufacturers are the ones feeling the down trend the most. When I purchased my Stubby, the "waitlist" was 6 weeks, but I got mine in 3. Torqbars never used to be in stock, but their inventory is almost complete, with custom ones available too. On FB, I saw a ZF Mini Ti Tri listed at $1000 at the start of the week (which is pure insanity) now down to $500 with custom buttons (still insanity, they were $180 at the drop). $1000 Steel Frames are now $300.
As an enthusiast, happy to see where the market is headed. Hated seeing the elitism creep into the scene. I remember this poster on Facebook, tagging her photos saying she can afford the secondary market. Will be interesting seeing which manufacturers continue to stick around after all the demand starts falling away.
A few years ago I ordered a few packs of these Touchfine cases, they are slightly larger than most earbud cases and have ample room for two larger spinners or similar EDC objects, and are very sturdy and well made:
They've been sold out for a while but may still be available somewhere else. I have extras (they come in two-packs) if you can't find them anywhere else. When I use them with two spinners, I make sure the spinners are in either sturdy ziplock sleeves small felt pouches, each tucked into one of the pockets of the case (each case has two mesh pockets).
These days I mostly use smaller earbud cases that hold only one spinner at a time, but for two spinners the Touchfine cases work great.
I use this:
Blue Magic 400 7Oz Mtl Polish Cream
https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B000BO8Z9I/
Then, if it’s a metal that I want to hold off tarnish, I follow the polish with this:
Renaissance Micro-Crystalline Wax Polish (65 ml)
For less messy amazon links you can extract the part after "/dp/" in
and make it:
BEEP BOP

OnDaq,
This one from Amazon seems like a pretty good deal.
https://www.amazon.com/VXB-Ceramic-Miniature-Bearing-8x22x7/dp/B01JKBUR1Q
It's a full ZrO2 bearing. There are two types of ceramic bearings (Si3N4 Silicon Nitride, and the ZrO2 Zirconium Oxide). Then you have full or hybrid. A full means that all components of the bearing are made from those elements. The hybrids will usually have the ceramic balls and the rings/races are made from some other material. Just make sure the size matches to the existing bearing in your spinner if you're buying a replacement online.
Regards, Nate
That's an honorable thing you're doing but a spinner might not work if he doesn't have much dexterity. I'd suggest trying an inexpensive plastic one to see if it works for him and because he might drop it.
I have always liked magnets as really simple fidgets. I've used these for years. I know it's silly to buy 6 but you want the larger size (2.5") and this is what I could find on Amazon.
https://www.amazon.com/Pairs-Large-Rattle-Singing-Magnets/dp/B0046XOF5S/ref=pd_sbs_21_26
The magnets might be better for someone with large hands and limited dexterity.
Here is mine, quite difficult to photograph with a phone. http://imgur.com/a/OgEki
The many little angles make it really great to fidget with, and lots of feedback on on the fingers.
Amazon link of the ring as reference: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M6BJX0O/
I wasn't able to get mine perfectly balanced and one side hangs over by 1mm, they drive me nuts! I was thinking of trying again with a size 12.5 7mm ring and a slightly sanded down Kong.
The stackable grids I'm using are just some cheap sackcloth things from Amazon, they're great :D
I went ahead and bought these caps off Amazon for $6 after tax
I will let you guys know how they are
Hands down my new favorite. There's seriously nothing else like it. It has two bearings and has a unique pendulum effect. Don't expect it to spin for long, due to this unique weighting, but it double spins!!!! I also really enjoy just spinning the small part as a micro spinner. I would say this is way more of a fidget toy than a standard spinner. Provides more user interaction.
Cop one at 50% for a limited time by using code DUBSPINS on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0711JGQLR or at www.Infinite-Spin.com
Glad to hear that you like it! This particular spinner isn't common online, before it hit Amazon (sold by Spin War), I only saw it sporadically on Asia-based websites.
As for buttons, I strongly recommend a larger size like the 22mm Kongs. This is a heavy spinner, and the bigger buttons give a much better grip, and the deep dish on the Kongs really helps. If you can, I'd recommend that you buy a bunch of Kong 22mm SS from FidgetHQ while they still have them, since they sometimes go out of stock for long periods of time.
I haven't tried any other buttons yet because the Kongs seem to match the spinner perfectly. I do have some larger RevPunx, Spinetic, 2RDesigns, and other buttons that I may try on it, but I can't imagine that they'll be better than the Kongs.
BTW there is also a Starss "Shell" spinner sold by the same seller on Amazon:
I bought one and it isn't bad at all, although I prefer the "Lines" spinner.
Shoot, i'm sorry, you're right: https://www.amazon.com/Anti-Anxiety-Spinner-Spinning-Relieving-Boredom/dp/B0774RJFC6/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&qid=1603245173&refinements=p_89%3ADuomishu&s=toys-and-games&sr=1-2
I don't post much, so thanks for the tip
I hear that. Been there. I am about to stop checking out this sub because the temptation get pretty high at times.
Also, since you are young, and since the schools don't teach people how to handle money, I will pass on a bit of advice.
If you want to win in the long run, and save yourself the time and expense of learning a lot of unpleasant and inconvenient financial mistakes, I can not strongly enough urge you to immerse yourself in the teachings of Dave Ramsey. If you can get his book, "The Total Money Makeover," that would be great. If not, you can check out his podcasts for free, and a lot of his stuff is on the website. Listen to the podcasts, buy the books he talks about, apply what you learn, and you will be way ahead of the game.
Here is an album with some high res pics!
Each photo has a comment describing their finishes and metals! Hope you guys like it :)

How about just a plain ball bearing with an inner diameter about the same size as your finger or a regular ring? Do you think that would work?

e.g. a 20mm inner diameter bearing used raw, or a 25mm inner diameter bearing you hot glue a 25mm outer diameter ring into?
If you google "boat wheel fidget spinner" you can find this exact model. I see they had it at Amazon in the past:
Super silent pirate boat wheel fidget hand spinner. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B071ZTG8D4/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_AW9K94YRBQ57VAFK1ZH3
The only decent spinner that I have got from Amazon is this 3-arm spinner:
https://www.amazon.com/FREEFOG-Stainless-Spinner-Desktop-Rotating/dp/B07R4WTSS4/
All the rest is pretty much junk, unfortunately.
i’m looking for a decent quality slider for 10-20 us dollars. preferably from amazon but after some searching it seems there’s only this one. is it worth it or do you know a better store from which i can get one in that price range?
Amazon has cheap ones that are like that:
4Packs Fidget Spinner Robot Toys, Transformable Chain Stress Relief Fidget Spinner, Mechanical Spiral Twister Fingertip Gyro Spinner, Funny Sensory Fidget Spinners Toys for Kids and Adults https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09PG2GDDW/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_BF6ZVYMZB13KFK83ZDJ7
About once or twice a year I’ll polish them with Blue Magic and then apply a coat of Renaissance Wax. That’ll keep the patina at bay for a few months depending on use.
ali express torque bar copper/ brass choices.
You don’t need exact buttons. Most large button sets will work with Woosah’s when you add several washers or spacers to one side.
Here are some that I use:
Here is what I was able to accomplish with just 9volt batteries.
Hey Reddit!
PSA: Datura fully loaded with balls is a next level experience. When it comes to utilizing added bearings, without question filling the rings is the way to go. This effectively turns the rings into cage free bearings and causes the half’s into interlock securely, preventing balls from popping. I recently discovered a cost effective way to fill interior concentric rings with 4mm polypropylene bearings. I regret not having found the PP balls before release, if you ordered a Dat & would like sum ballz message me your order number and I will send 20x no charge. All future Datura out will be loaded🙌🏻
Have an awesome & safe holidays everyone! 💝

I just got mine today. First spin out of the box was 7mins and I wasn't trying that hard. Very impressed with that aspect. Unfortunately, the ringing sound is driving me mad. Have you noticed the same with yours? I think it's due to the solid stainless steel design. Here is a short video of the sound.
There are RGB LEDs on the motor housing behind the spinner, if that counts. Can't see them in daylight though.
I considered making a bunch of these and selling them, but I don't expect spinners to be as insanely popular as they currently are once the school year ends in a couple of weeks. Would be too late by the time I finished a production run.
Besides, I can't spend too much time on one project when there are others to do :)
I can confirm what everyone is saying about this bearing if anyone still cares. Just got a mail drop today with a 3 pack of em.
Damn, it's quiet! Waaay smoother than I thought my mini cortex could ever be. Almost too smooth? I kinda like the feedback from changing the axis. On a scale of feedback, it was an 8, now it's a 2. Spin time with old bearing was around 4 min. Now it's around 3:45 min. But it hasn't broken in yet and plus it's shielded. Gonna give it a couple more days and see how it goes. But it's definitely a totally different feel than before.
Edit:. This is a video comparison with my noisiest spinner, SS Spinetic Y.
Yes more are coming! Our plan is to start assembling some extras soon and we should be having weekly or bi-weekly drops with the amount we manage to assemble during the week, so it should be small batches. We will be announcing here and on our other channels once we get closer to drop, make sure to check our other channels here http://linktr.ee/uqh ✨🙏
I got this one https://www.banggood.com/MATEMINCO-Metal-Cross-Shape-Fidget-Toy-Stainless-Steel-Bearing-Hand-Spinner-Rotation-5-Minutes-p-1158078.html when it was $7 on Amazon. It's an OK spinner, but I don't see it anywhere cheaper than $13 right now, and at $13, I'd say pay the extra and get a real one.
I got this and it's very nice. Looks beautiful, made of brass, aluminum, and stainless steel, and had a great bearing. https://www.banggood.com/MATEMINCO-EDC-Ultimate-8-min-Rotating-Hand-Spinner-CNC-Process-Germany-Silicon-Carbide-Hybrid-Bearing-p-1133223.html
I've bought 4 of these hybrid ceramic r188 bearings from Banggood.com for about $1 each with free shipping and I really like them they are the best r188's in my collection, though I haven't spent big bucks on any more expensive ones.
I saw something like it here https://www.banggood.com/ECUBEE-EDC-9-Gear-Hand-Spinner-Gadget-Finger-Spinner-Fidget-Focus-p-1146965.html?rmmds=search
I can't personally speak to the quality, but seems to have good reviews and I've gotten two other spinners and countless drone parts from that site that were all good.
The aeroship is balanced, but the straight edges on the side make spinning it one-handed a bit weird. It's definitely not what I expected. I bought something similar (found here) which has a slight indent on the side and is much easier to spin one handed. Although this other one has a super cheap bearing and button.
Europe. I know of FidgetEU, just wanted to get it cheaper.
I found it on Banggood too, so that's something i guess.
😄 I know I have seen that idea before…
https://www.ecwid.com/store/store5887124/Bay-City-Rollers-Bearing-Pendant-Necklace-p44637656
For the bearings on the end. Put caps on there as you said you will do. If you did not plan to already, then thicken the middle cap so it can be used as a table spinner. Some people put just a solid brass plug in there which I assume you are trying to avoid. Would it be possible to do a plug in a bulls-eye or star pattern?
Yeah the mini tri falcon as well as the mini falcons are great. The aviator is also one of my favorite bar spinners in my collection.
The atesson tri spinners as far as I know are somewhat cheap and not very good overall. If you want a good amazon spinner https://www.amazon.com/FREEFOG-Stainless-Spinner-Desktop-Rotating/dp/B07R4WTSS4/ref=mp_s_a_1_105?keywords=fidget+spinner&qid=1636401624&sr=8-105 This is really the only one I can say is good quality. I've actually been planning on picking it up myself but just havent gotten around to it lol
You. Rock. I dont know how I didn't see these in all my searches last night! This is the one I ended up ordering https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07R4WTSS4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

but now I feel like I want to cancel it and get the one in the first link you posted... what do you think??
If it helps, I have this one: (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B095JZTM71/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_glt_fabc_F3908CKK01GG3NJ5ZMN3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1)
It's pretty much the same thing as the one I have with a few differences. It's my very first fidget spinner and I don't regret my purchase. But if you're not completely sure just give it some more thought. Regardless of which one you choose I hope you enjoy it! And remember, if you're ordering through prime you can always return it if you're not satisfied. 🙂
Iv owned a few spinners, some very expensive ones. But this floppy chain toy is actually my favorite. So cheap aswell. Should Definitly get one even if you find something else.
Most of the spinners on Amazon are definitely poor quality, but there are some ok ones and one or two slightly better ones. One way to find newly listed spinners is to do a search for "fidget spinner" then sort by "newest arrivals" (on Amazon mobile, after doing the search above, tap "filter", scroll to the bottom of the filter options, and select "newest arrivals". After that be sure to click the "Prime" slider to restrict your results to items shipped by Amazon.
Here's a nice little stainless steel spinner that is still sold on Amazon: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07R4WTSS4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_H1ME43VF31KD1KXDA2H7?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I have had two of these a 606 bearing and now an r188 version. It comes highly recommended.
This is a good starter tri spinner:
https://www.amazon.com/FREEFOG-Stainless-Spinner-Desktop-Rotating/dp/B07R4WTSS4/
There are also some decent spinners from addictivefidgettoys.com, to help you figure out what you like. Nobody knows what they like until they try a few spinner types. Everybody’s tastes are different. Most of this is just me agreeing with superchiller.
I'm interested in something similar. This is the closest thing I've found so far: https://smile.amazon.com/BIENNA-Tactical-Military-Organizer-Waterproof/dp/B06XTWWTSW. Have you found anything else since posting?
Wait! This isn’t the u/Tourtoise is it? The Legend Lives! 😜 You have been missed.
It’s my usual Blue Magic polish, Dremel, and Renaissance Wax.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000BO8Z9I/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_12MTK22QD0S5G93V3A35
I use plumber's tape. Cut a 1.5 to 2 inch strip, then cut it in half lengthwise, then wrap it around the threads. Works like a charm. Keeps it in place, but you can still unscrew by hand if you need to: https://smile.amazon.com/Plumbers-Sealant-Vanguard-Sealants-Perfect/dp/B01L2F428C/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=1C0RFOD3EYTY8&dchild=1&keywords=plumber%27s+tape&qid=1613946140&sprefix=plumber%27s+%2Caps%2C185&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyR003N001OTJUUDU5JmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMDU2MTg5TzlCMk9ZSzFSUU0zJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA4OTE5NjAzR0NXSUdCMzE3WTBaJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==
If you want a fairly cheap ($26) Tri spinner to try out, take a look at the stainless steel "Fox" spinner that is widely available, including here on Amazon:
Keep in mind that it uses a 606 bearing instead of an R188, but it's still a nice (although quite small) stainless steel spinner. It's currently not in stock at Amazon, but available for ordering (currently being restocked by the seller "Freelove" for fulfillment by Amazon, so a new batch is heading from China to Amazon fulfillment centers).
606 seems to be right, but I’m having a hard time finding replacements. This listing on Amazon seems to be an option, and while the measurements are right it says it’s 609? Might just get it and hope for the best, but I’m also having trouble finding replacement caps for 606 sized bearings :/
Found some 3/8 Zirconium Oxide Ceramic Ball Bearings on Amazon and decided to go for it. I think it's lighter than SS balls which isn't a problem for me and I just really like how it looks on the turtle
This is the only one on Amazon I can recommend. I have one and it’s a regular in my EDC rotation. It’s not wide and flat like a lot of cheap Chinese spinners. Rather, it’s squat and chunky like an Atrium. And while it has a 606 bearing, when broken in it is super smooth and quiet.
https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07R4WTSS4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_OgoxFbEXR4ZZQ
I personally picked up this little lathe on amazon to help with polishing and finishing buttons and pens. For $42, price has changed but you can find similar models around that price. I would 100% recommend it so far! Time will tell how it holds up.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VPVK4WW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I live in Seattle, WA and I am looking to purchase a (if it exists) planetary gear fidget spinner. Does any know of a brand that has one? The following link it to what I have found:
Pure Brass Fidget Spinner Gears Linkage Fidget Gyro Toy Metal DIY Hand Spinne... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075FV1ZJQ/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_U_x_O.epEb6GE7XH3 via @amazon
FYI this spinner is now available on Amazon for $16:
Fidget Spinner, Fidget Toys for Adults and Kids, Fidget Spinners Metal ADHD Stress Anxiety Relief Gifts, Fidget Hand Toys with Luminous Light, Fidget Spinner Need Absorb Light Then Release in Dark https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082HS8Z72/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_taa_Lk-kEbHABRDES
And there are two other spinners by this spinner company also on Amazon, sold by the same seller "WLDam" (and fulfilled by Amazon). They're zinc alloy but not terrible.
There are a few other spinners by this company. I bought one of these from Amazon:
Fidget Spinners, Fidget Spinner for Adults and Kids, Stress Anxiety ADHD Relief Figets Toy, Metal Finger Hand Spinner Toys with Luminous Light, Fidget Spinner Need Absorb Light then Release in Dark https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WDH3SWT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_taa_.4oiEb2Z5E0KV
And here's a different one, also on Amazon:
Fidget Spinners, Fidget Spinner Gifts for Adults and Kids, Stress Anxiety ADHD Relief Figets Toy, Metal Finger Hand Spinner Toys with Luminous Light, Spinner Absorb Solar Light then Release in Dark https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WDNSK5T/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_taa_W6oiEbA3VR1E9
The issue I have with these is that they are made out of zinc alloy, really not the best metal. They are cast as opposed to CNC machined as well. Packaging is nice, but the one I got is just fair.
As for “elbow grease” I’ve been using the following:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000BO8Z9I/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_c_api_i_0me4Cb3SKFRPM
Nice for touch up. But I’m interested in taking some pieces that have been bead-blasted, or machine finished and giving them a mirror finish. In some cases, like bead-blasting, that may mean removing quite a bit of surface material. Thus the tumbling idea. Thanks!
I found one for $16 (Amazon prime price) here:
Agile Games Magnet Spinner, 3 in 1 Set Metal Fidget Spinner/ Spinning top/ Magnet orbiter. Stress Relief Toy/ Gadget https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HP9WW8H/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_tAwCCbDR3ZMEX
I'm gonna go ahead and get one.. I'm kind of hoping that perhaps the two sides of the spinner body somehow "screw" apart.. As it is my best guess so far, based strictly on the limited number of photos and videos I have looked at..
Neat. Coin collector tubes might be an option.. 608's are just slightly larger than a nickel..
Here's a link to a quick search result on Amazon:
BCW COIN STORAGE TUBES, round clear plastic w/ screw on tops for NICKELS (Quantity of 10 tubes) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00881PFQM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_yLQpCbD4QX080
I second this, made one of these and was able pop out the outer bearings of an aluminum bearing wrap tri-spinner.
What did I replace them with? Funny you should ask:
Tungsten Fidget Spinner Weights (Set of 3) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074TXXLPT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_ORJwBbAAA93D4
This made for a really cool spinner that looks like the classic style but is super heavy and very satisfying to fidget with!
I would look at natural wooden baby toys then, there are quite a few available on Amazon. Here are some:
And here's a cool looking one:
Oooo nice!
On a side note: I've yet to figure out how to replace bearings at all yet... the nomad one I have apparently can but I can't figure out how to actually get the bearings out. Doesn't seem to quite matter how much pressure I put on it shrug

The fact that, that one is potentially more complex, is a bit intimidating lol
Hello! I live in the US and looking to get a spinner with a spin time >5min if possible, budget up to $100USD or so. I've bought a few things off amazon while experimenting... my favorite so far is https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0719HCMJL/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I bought one of these but was pretty disappointed, not getting anywhere near the spin time that reviews claimed :/ https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071Z68LGL/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I don't have any super strong preferences on materials or designs, except that I do seem to prefer spinners with 3 or more spokes (unlike the bars I sometimes see). Circular ones seem pretty cool too.
On Amazon they claim the balance is improved I guess you can improve balance if you improve the mass center and use good materials - anyway it is a great toy
Not sure if this is out of your price range, but here https://www.amazon.com/Aesthetics-Spinners-Stainless-hybrid-ceramic-delivers/dp/B073Q8TNYF/ref=sr_1_28?rps=1&ie=UTF8&qid=1506912415&sr=8-28&keywords=stainless+steel+fidget+spinner&refinements=p_72%3A2661618011%2Cp_85%3A2470955011
Damn. Every single one I'm finding is comfort fit.
could put a spinning ring on a spinner.
https://www.amazon.com/Glow-Dark-Pigment-Powder-Fluorescent/dp/B01K081MYO/?tag=spinmint-20 You mix this shit with clear epoxy and put it where you will. Super bright. Would assume it ended up looking like Elmers glue tinted. Never tried it, but it is how you did glow before trits were such a low price like now.
I got a black Quazar and was not impressed with the finish, so I stripped it. I have seen much nicer black finishes, but in hindsight, who the fuck gets a black spinner ment to be a mirrorball for trits? Dhur. Thank goodness it is plated chrome and copper underneath.
I got some norland 61 to apply tritium.
Would this thing work to cure it? I'm trying to find a cheap option to do this.
The actual amazon item seems to have disappeared, but it was like this https://www.amazon.com/Evermarket-Fidget-Spinner-Durable-Anxiety/dp/B071KPJXRX/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1501845325&sr=8-5&keywords=fox+spinner
I got it for looks, so I wasn't expecting much, but...Could they at least have used a sane bearing retention method? The bearing's held in by three metal tabs. And the bearing was listed as R188, but was hopelessly off-size.
All of them can stand on their ends EXCEPT for the Metalvorks (this includes the Sunnytech ones, which are slightly bigger than the Zentris, as well as the Voltri.)
Good note about getting small pieces of foam for spacers though. I'm using this case as a way to curb my collection. If it doesn't fit or there's no more room, I don't get it.
This was the case btw: STERILITE 14028606 Divided Case https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HTZGIMC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_gyjKzbB2T48T5
'cept I got mine at a Home Depot that was closing. Cost me $6.
Amazon. Cheap too!
Mooca Coffee Color Wood Jewelry / Bead Storage Box in TEMPERED Glass Top Lid With Velvet Black Pad Display Box Case Medals Awards Jewelry Knife https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DCMUARA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_4bVGzbSVP1EFQ
Oh it's the Corsair Rapidfire K70 RGB version switched out the keycaps with the Vortex White Keycaps! $40 for the keycaps which is nice and it's compatible with most keyboards too!
I use Pelican 1170
https://www.amazon.com/Pelican-1170-Case-Foam-Black/dp/B0038VETHS
Stores 20 safely, basically mil spec grade protection which is great if you have a lot of exotics or rare pieces. You can buy multiple and they stack too.
You could grab some light-weight loctite like loctite blue: https://www.amazon.com/Loctite-Heavy-Duty-Threadlocker-Single/dp/B000I1RSNS/
Then put a very very small amount on the threads, screw them as tight as you can, and let them sit. They'll be secure. And since you're using something like loctite instead of super glue, you can still unscrew them (though it'll take a lot more effort)
If it is the r188 spinners from Woosah you are correct they will NOT fit
But if you have the 608 bearing you can use any generic 608 buttons
I like these ones bc they are extra concave, got them from Amazon 6 dollars shipped
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071NRTRSD/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Idle i saw those Hercs actually was my first choice but seemed dumb to spend $20+ on my $25 woosah aluminum namaste.
Ended up with these buttons and they are an absolute DREAM. really really nice for $6 shipped - if you get a chance grab them i think you will be impressed esp if you are replacing a Woosah Aluminum 608 spinner they will change it dramatically

How many do you have? If you've got 10 or so...
This sort of card box plus some sheets of felt work great, and the whole "project" can probably be done shopping locally at a craft store, a game store, and about $5.
Amazon has vaguely the same thing with pre-made foam, if you don't wanna DIY and just want a box to store them. These run about $15.
Pelican cases with custom inserts like that are significantly more expensive (I think around $70? Don't recall), but obviously cooler from all perspectives. I personally have both one of those amazon boxes and a DIY one to hold my ~20 spinners. I'd be interested in the Pelican one if I was transporting them a lot, but for me it's just storage.
Are these the same spinners? I really like the look of it, but I want to make sure I'm not getting a crappy version of it.

Check this one out. It's similar to a phat boy junior but it's 41mm which is the size of a zenduo (42mm). I've been looking for one around that size (a little bigger than the zini) also and stumbled onto it.
My pockets are too full to hold fidget spinners, haha.
Storage thing is a cheap jewelry tray from Amazon - it's the only one with the right size squares to fit some of the larger spinners. Color is awful but I've just dealt with it, I might put some black microfiber cloths along the bottom of each cell to make it look better or something. Just buy 550 lb paracord and then learn how to tie a monkey's fist knot.
That is what most people do for their Begleri.
There is this thing on Amazon for $12.29. It is adequate to hold my seven spinners and keep them separated. Was going to use it for its intended purpose, holding USB sticks... but I am so tired of carrying my spinners around with me in their individual tins... so this is my solution for now. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0183G0LI8/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_29
