Well, I was looking for a picture to use for today's photoshop thread, and stumbled upon this thumbnail which I absolutely had to click on.
Which, took me to "Girls Can Play Hockey Too an equally bad, but not as ridiculous fan fiction.
...then I made the mistake/awesome decision of googling "philadelphia flyers fanfiction"...and...yeah.
Even better than VPN, I use a DNS service such as Unlocator with . VPN works great if you are watching on a computer, but the DNS thing let's you watch from AppleTV, Xbox, PS4, etc. It's an overall easier experience IMO.
If you use hola, enjoy being used as an endpoint node. While we don't know if it's happened yet, it is extremely probable your IP has been linked with... some bad and illegal things out there and is on a NSA/federal list now.
HEY!! samsies...wedding jersey bros
Only custom jersey I have ever bought and it was a hit at the wedding. Congrats man
Edit: I suggest this frame from amazon its the perfect size for a hockey jersey as they are bigger than other sports and some of the other jersey frames you end up stuffing the jersey into. It was easy to hang and has nice clasps on the side to easily access shadowbox. It also has UV protection which keeps the signatures in good shape in case your Aunt ever makes it to the HOF and her sig is worth a ton of money.

About the Bambino: “However, the legend was truly a product of his time, using racial and ethnic slurs like "wops" to refer to Italian-Americans and "micks" to refer to Irish-Americans. He also used the n-word on occasion, saying he was often referred to as "n-word lips" because of his strikingly African features. “
Thanks for starting this game thread.
No video link, yet, but the audio is available here:
or the Phantoms365 app in your App Store.
I get a subscription to NHLtv and stream all the games. It's something like $140-150 for the entire season and you get every NHL game that you're not "in-market" for, in which case the stream is blacked out. So how to avoid being in-market?
Well, there are various ways to circumvent the local blackouts. I watch on an AppleTV and use a service called unlocator to scramble my location (presumably there are similar services, it's just what I use). It's a couple bucks a month and setup is easy. Bonus is that I can also stream all national games, including playoffs. If you want to watch on your computer, then a VPN will work. Again, that's not hard to set up, just google it.
There are free streams out there but I like this solution because I'm still supporting the league and the team through the NHLtv subscription, just avoiding the bullshit media monopoly part of the equation.
I have a lot of down time in lil ol Texas so I've watched 20 movies so far
Best movie: Room
Worst movie: 007 Spectre
Last watched: Wonder Woman
Native Americans for sure don't like Chief Wahoo.. That shouldn't be surprising since it's super, super racist.
My thoughts exactly when I saw the tweet.
Edit: My doctorate in web medicine is drawing a hypothesis that it could be a hip laberal tear?
It is not exactly like the photo, but it is relatively similar. I bought one of these a few years ago.
I use GameCenterLive + ExpressVPN. GCL only checks your IP when you open the stream, so you can VPN to London, open your web browser, start the stream, the close the VPN so you don't have crappy performance.
Thank you. I used Blender (https://www.blender.org) to make it. If you don't know already, it's not very user friendly, but once you understand the interface and how to get around, it gets a lot easier.
GIF of hit

' that's what I heard '...
I would like to know where you " heard " that; radio, the guy pissing next to you in a stall, reading it online, or the mail room? I am not being antagonistic, but when I hear that I think of ' trolls '. I will wait to read on NHL.com whether or not Shanny takes a look at the hit. I am not sure what the standards are for Shanny to take a look at any check. Hartsy got 2min for it right? ( I missed the third period all together )
By looking at the replay, no ' upswing ' from the elbow after the hit, not leaving the feet, no crouch and then 'upswing' of the body to gain momentum and the kid was slightly crouched upon impact ( hartsy is 3-4 inches shorter than the player )
But who the fuck knows what Shanny calls after the Neal kneeing Marchand which I would have thought netted him 10 games at least
Lots of high-res game photos here](http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3439553), and most of them are large enough to use as wallpapers. It's not just Flyers photos, but there's plenty of good stuff. It's just unfortunate the OP of that thread stopped at the end of October.
I also made a couple wallpapers. My fav is the one of Gagne scoring the ~~OT~~ GWG against the Bruins in Game 7.
Alrighty, going to give this another go. Lines may not be perfect but close enough.
This week however we're going to try something different.
The game will be streamed here so we can all watch at the same point and users can come and go as they please. However you're more then welcome to still follow along on YouTube instead. We'll start @ 7!
Good shit, man. Thanks for posting.
I'm actually reading Alan Bass' book right now, Professional Hockey in Philadelphia: A History, and back in the 1920s, the Arrows had some fights so nasty that even the fans hopped the barricade at the Ice Palace to go down on the ice to fight, one fan even got his head smashed in (he lived!), and the cops were also down on the ice breaking up the brawl with their nightsticks and what not. All I'm saying is the history of this type of stuff goes way back.
EDIT: the famous part starts at approx. 4:40
LMAO. She could always marry into a royal family. Hopefully not Prince Andrew, though.
The Mars book from this series was pretty decent, with what I believe are real pictures from the rovers. No idea about the quality of the rest of the series, and oddly it didn't mention the two moons of Mars, which was a weird omission. This one got her really fascinated with Mercury, since she learned that on one side you freeze and on the other side you get cooked. She's promised multiple times not to stand on Mercury. Maybe your girl and her will be the first astronauts on Mars, though!
edit: hopefully you're not one of those "Pluto is a planet" originalists because it puts Pluto in a section with several dwarf planets.
with a location blocking service like . I lived in Lancaster (blacked out) and it worked like a charm. I'm in Pittsburgh now, but even the national games are usually blacked out, but not with Unlocator.
Well the cost went up in conjunction with the nicotine levels. It was a calculated move to "deter" smokers from the habit with high costs, while also undercutting the effort by making it harder to quit with even higher nicotine levels.
I don't have a clear chart showing the price increase over the past 20 years, but apparently nicotine levels increased 11% during the mid 2000's. You quit just in time friend. I'd imagine it's pretty hard to kick the habit now.
Well the deal is still up! Let us know what you get
Mac or windows?
EDIT: Windows Desktop Recording or maybe more info here. I also think Mac has a built in program that can do it. Hope this at least helps a little, but I've never had to use it so I can't really recommend any software

Let me know if this is too choppy, Im using hockey streams now so I might need to adjust my recorder to make it less choppy.
PSVue is awesome, tonights game is on nbc. IDK about blackouts, but I think you would want the "core slim" 70+ channel package for can?
PSVue is $10 more in the original areas like Philadelphia, but there is a free trial. Just make sure to cancel sub or it will be set to auto-pay.
Not at all, I’m trying to get my foot into freelancing so the more exposure the better. I just realized i have a paint stroke error which is now driving me nuts that I didn’t catch, if you want the not messed up I posted it to my Vero account (dead site, for now) Vero account
If you like to read books, Alan Bass' new book on the history of the sport in Philly is a pretty good little read. Surprisingly, it goes back to the 1890s, and while the Flyers are the "face" of hockey in Philly today, what lead up to the expansion in the 60s was a long road of trial and error with various leagues and minor team attempts, but the city has always had a hunger for the sport. Really you could skip the first few chapters if pre-and post-war hockey doesn't interest you, and start on the chapter that discusses the NHL expansion from the original six to twelve, and Ed Snider, which is really where things took off and the Flyers establishing themselves as bona fide.
You know about the Pens, but for me, the Capitals are right behind them. I don't know why I hate them so much, but my hate is eternally wreathed in the lambent flames of hell. Can't stand them.
Favorite current players - I like pretty much all of them, but if you watch last year's highlights (there are a few, despite a down season) you'll be caught up. Favorites for me are TK, Coots, Giroux, Hayes, Laughton, Farabee, and lately been watching Ryan Ellis highlights (our most publicized acquisition), and I'm excited about what he can bring.
I think you picked a good year to get interested.
Also, this might sound strange, but if you're new to the rules of hockey, get a current NHL video game on like XBox or whatever and play it. You'll learn the rules of the game (for some odd reason, my buddies who don't like hockey are too afraid to admit that it's because they don't know the rules...), you'll learn the players by name, and even settle in to which teams are a threat or not. I'm not recommending this because I play video games (I don't, actually), but my son does, and inside of like a week, he became an expert, and now we love watching and talking hockey together.
Welcome aboard.
I had ordered the larger 8x8 sticker off the Wells Fargo Center website, but...the application process is AWFUL for the Flyers logo because it has a disconnected white stroke outline. So when removing the application film, the entire outline just came off. So I yanked it, and found THIS ONE on Amazon. It is half the size, but I love it.
It is diagonal on the application square, but when you actually apply it you can just rotate the application film and it comes out nicely! (and the white outline is all one piece with the logo)

I wash my jerseys just fine without any damage (knock on wood) in the regular wash.
The full protective method of washing them would be to...
Turn the jersey inside out, and wash inside a mesh laundry bag on delicate / gentle.

I pay for and Unlocator to watch on my AppleTV and all my devices. It ends up costing almost $200/yr, but nothing gets blacked out and I don't have to fuss with connecting my computer to the TV, VPNs, and such.
I live in Baltimore and use NHL GameCenter. "But, MainCranium," you cry, "Baltimore isn't in the Philly broadcast area, so you're not affected by regional blackouts!" FALSE! So many goddamn Flyers games were broadcast nationally last year, that about half of them were blacked out for me, even in Baltimore. I use ExpressVPN to fool GameCenter into thinking I'm in another country (sometimes I have to try a few, due to international broadcasts). You can kill the VPN connection once the stream has started and continue watching. It works very well.
Also they have this B Schenn signed 8x10 at 50% off (35.00) on promo
You can always buy this.
