The argument is not whether or not illegal immigrants hit and run, and it never was. The discussion is whether or not you have evidence that this case was a hit and run by an illegal immigrant. Rather than provide evidence for the claim you made, you decided to try and prove that illegal immigrants can have hit and runs -- a fact that no one was debating.
By your 'logic', https://duckduckgo.com/?q=are+kittens+cute proves that you, yourself are an illegal immigrant posing as a racist to try and hide yourself.

I guess it goes back to its roots when slavery was maintained to protect the "societal structure". Perhaps when segregation was kept in place to protect "societal structure". You cant logically use this as a means to take from others.

Oh no, I get down voted in this sub because I am interesting, I sort of enjoy it.
I never intended the shame to be an inward reflection ,young people generally don't think about consequences.. I meant, that we no longer hold young men and to some lesser degree women to any standard. We absolutely should shame these men who create children with no intention of supporting them. We now accept people that have children out of wedlock at a young age even though all studies show that it is the easiest way into poverty. We have the opposite, we have TV shows that glorify being a teen mom.

I decided to actually check the reading level of the article.
The Hemmingway App puts it at 5th grade, and judging by the "other discussions" tab I'd say that's roughly accurate.
There is the Follinglo Dog Book.
It is a collection of poineer stories that took place in and around Story City. They are mostly stories about a local hero named Stor Per which is norwegian for Big Peter. (Spare me the pun). It also has many stories about life growing up on the prairie. It kind of starts slow but it is worth it. The author's self deprecating humor is a delight. I read it in High School and I still re-read it every few years.
It depends on which filter type you have. Newer furnaces use these big ass 5" filters that last way longer due to much more surface area than the old ~1" filters.
Also, it highly depends on household cleanliness. With 2 golden retreivers we're lucky to get 6 weeks before ours is completely packed with fur; vacuuming more will help filter life quite a bit (dust ends up in the vacuum, not the filter, etc.

there is a great book on this subject that talks about fighting the KKK in the early civil rights day and why so many democrats wanted to take guns from black Americans. You should give it a read.

Hmm, I've never heard of that machine. But the grinder is the most important piece of this. This is where you'll probably want to start for a grinder.
These guys make solid grinders and have been doing so for years. You'll probably want to look at the Sette.
Other than that, if you're able to return the machine and get a more compact setup it may be best. My wife and I have the Breville 870XL and it has treated us great. We use it multiple times per day.

>what if these people are employed by the AG business then the constitutional rights are curbed
Nope. Your rights are your rights whether you work for a company or not.
What you're talking about is the Wiretap Act of 1968, basically is says, on the federal level, its illegal to record in situations where its reasonable there would privacy, but there are a lot of loopholes in this law. It makes is possible that if one party agrees, then recording is possible. Different states though have passed laws that do away with this loophole in a variety of ways. There are states that require two-part consent.
The other issues is where you can expect privacy reasonably. I think a lot of people would argue that factory farms that produce food for the public shouldn't have much expectation of privacy except in regard to their intellectual property. What they do effects the public, because consumes their food, therefore they should expect some level of scrutiny from the public. Florida for instance doesn't recognize private business as 'private' places if they serve the public.
Here is an article.

>I also thought if someone came to my property and filmed without my permission it was illegal.
It depends on the state. That is why they are trying to pass this ag gag law, they want to make it more illegal on the state level. They are basically making something twice as illegal for no real reason but ag lobbying.
Tent camping? Get a decent three seasons tent, maybe even try to find a four seasons tent. I like using a z fold or roll out pad with This insulated sleeping pad. I also use the REI trailback 20 sleeping bag. You will want to get a sleeping bag rated to lower than the lowest temp. Remember sleeping pads aren't just for comfort. They keep you warm by separating you from the ground.
For clothes pack warm, thicker hoodies, light jackets, pants, merino wool socks.
It's definitely not a partisan thing. If Democrats tax and spend, Republicans borrow and spend. Republicans are not fiscal conservatives.

If you mean you don't want to drive more than 6 hours leaving Des Moines, and assuming an average speed of 65 mph, then you've got any number of choices. For a quick weekend getaway with the wife, I tend to go with either Minneapolis (visiting friends and excellent restaurants) or Chicago (museums and excellent restaurants). I got this off amazon and had a local concrete company install it in my garage for $300 once it was delivered. With 2 children and 2 adults it is not comfortable. Benches are small inside and about 6’ of height inside so your hair rubs the top. But since I’m only in it dueing violent storms I dont mind it. If I was buying again I’d probably go the size up, for an extra 2k you get one that takes 8 folks with wider bemches. It’s hard to fit people + supplies in the one I have.
The general consensus by presidential historians is that the likes of Adams, Jefferson, and Washington practiced various levels of deism- they believed in a creator, but not necessarily an omnipotent omnipresent father figure who decides everything.

It's basically a 50/50 coin toss if you avg across the entire state.
It certainly is a little more unusual to have such low snow totals in Dec -- across the entire state we're more than half a foot behind avg there, but again, its not completely unprecedented.

Unfortunately its a far larger scale than that:
The green grass is all sloped up towards the house. The floor of the garage is 1.5-2 stories above Clair St.
There are 6 houses that are all connected on the same berm/levee, and as you can see, these are not far from backwaters -- the Cedar goes up much, backs up Snag Creek, into that lake, and there you go. These people raised their entire yards...
This is smack dab in the flood area: http://wcfcourier.com/app/special/flood_buyout/
These lots were flooded out (but did not have houses) in 2008. For some reason, they were allowed to raise their entire lots up out of the flood plain to build new houses.
I believe I could find other local examples, too, but this is the easiest to see.

>Some examples of Jim Crow laws are the segregation of public schools, public places, and public transportation, and the segregation of restrooms, RESTAURANTS, and drinking fountains for whites and blacks."
The difference between the cake and Jim Crow laws is that Jim Crow laws were laws that forced discrimination, where the couple in the article are free to choose other places to go.
Jim Crow laws were bigotry enforced by the state. People discriminate all the time, based on any arbitrary preference they may have. Discrimination simply means making distinctions. Read this
> So once again Iowa will be one of the states behind the rest of the state's and possibly the world?
It's already way behind.
Retaining college graduates has always been a huge problem for Iowa all the way back when I was a kid. Also, high achievers are pushed (or pulled in my situation) out of the state and when they experience what opportunity is like outside of Iowa they don't return.
In tech (my industry) the Iowa is way behind, even in DSM. You just don't have the same sort of companies in Iowa like you do on the coasts. If you're looking to move up the ladder in a major way in tech you need to get to a coast or Minneapolis/Chicago.
Then there's having gone hard right with reproductive rights, the whole COVID thing, and literally squandering millions upon millions of federal funding in right-wing political stunts... As someone progressive who was on the fence regarding moving back (lower COL) there's no fucking way now. Iowa use to be a great place to raise a family but seeing the state government ban mask mandates in schools shows me that this is factually no longer true.
Also you guys went hard right - https://www.politico.com/2020-election/results/iowa/ ... Iowa is now no longer a battle ground state.

It is your usage. I have 1700 sq ft and a full sized air conditioner (and an electric water heater, electric oven, and too many computers) and used 700kWh last month.
If you do replace it you should consider a mini split heat pump. Much more expensive but much more efficient, and also cheaper to run than a gas furnace when the weather is cool in the fall and spring. You can also find units that do not require vacuuming the lines (no HVAC tech required) and DIY.

Also, there's just more opportunity outside of Iowa. Sorry, but it's the damn truth. Maybe less so with the work remote bit and COVID but we'll see on that. When it comes to the best and brightest they're PUSHED OUT of the state!
Honestly it's a feedback loop at this point - the people who are left swing right and every time I'm back home it feels more like Walmart country.

I see this is more about them landing on you than about being comfortable outside, but perhaps you'll find this helpful. Last summer, I had good luck against flies with an outdoor trap bag (if you're curious), but unfortunately it seems their company doesn't make one for mosquitoes.
However, here's GREENERWAYS ORGANIC Mosquito Repellent Zone on Amazon, but whereas the fly trap from the other company would last for ~3 months for $5 a piece, this trap lasts for 7 days only and costs ~$8. The reviews are great, though! One of the customer questions was answered by an Iowan at the beginning of this month of this, who stated her yard was free of mosquitoes for a week. She seemed quite excited.

Essentially just get out of larger cities a ways.
You should also add some seafoam or something similar and make sure it gets in the carbs. Just draining gas out if the tank still leaves some in the carbs, and over time it can reduce performance if not prevent running entirely.

I really think your best bet is to wander around hunting areas. However don't forget this note - wear bright colors as we have April 29-May 17 for the last hunting season to end (Turkeys 4th spring season), its not near as popular as most so I would not expect many to be out. If you see cars in the lot it is however likely they are hunting.

Not from Australia, but this is a book by Lord Richard Acton about Iowa from a British perspective after he married his third wife who taught at the University of Iowa. I found it easy to read and fun to learn about Iowa from a perspective other than my own. I have lived here most of my 31 years. As a bit of a political and news junkie it is exciting to watch the political broohaha every 2 or 4 years. However, I have cut the cord in terms of not having cable or satellite, largely because I got so tired of the commercials. I really don't like attack ads from either party or 3rd parties. That said learning what I has brought to the world in terms of agriculture, technology, and literature to name a few categories is amazing to me. Even an old teacher of mine found some of the oldest films in the country just recently a few miles from where I live. Everyday I wake up and look outside my window and can see for miles. I love this place and thank you for showing an interest.
