Online services do not inherently lack privacy. Quite the opposite in fact. It is much easier to maintain anonymity online. The alternative would be in-person, which lacks anonymity. Is it easier to keep your personal matters private through anonymity or by speaking to another person face-to-face? There isn't anyone to link the information to if you mask your identity.

taking the already available in audio player in quicklook, but extend it with waveform preview, scrub, and audio information (bitrate and depth, sampling frequency, ID3, artwork, peak/rms) and a looping functionality to preview small samples in loop.

when previewing lots of audio files it's cumbersome to have them opened in an app, since the functionality to play them back is already on Finder via QuickLook. But the waveform display is very useful (take a guitar part from a song, maybe it has only 2min of music in 5min file, where the rest is silence, and getting to see this when previewing is quite useful)

Skype offers a few buisness packages and these are conveniently buddled into their app package. Also, I've used Cisco Webex for work on the go and this has always met my department's needs. Right now, we are considering a move to GoToMeeting and have been incorporating Slack into all processes we can.

• I have a static IP given to me by my university. I can only connect to the proxy when using this IP (currently assigned to the router).
• The proxy is required for internet access, but is buggy and blocks all ports except 80 and 443.
• I have an account with Private Internet Access that gives me both OpenVPN and PPTP login credentials.
• Right now, I use the OpenVPN (not PIA) client and the http-proxy option to connect to the VPN. This works basically perfectly, but I also want my Android phone and tablet to connect (the proxy is really buggy and sometimes doesn't work [possibly due to a 'terms and conditions' page that pops up time to time], so I have to reset the VPN tunnel)

• The OpenVPN page for android says the following, which I assume means "It doesn't work":

• • proxy directives — While proxy directives are currently supported (http-proxy and http-proxy-option), they are currently NOT supported in &lt;connection&gt; profiles. If I can get this to work on Android I don't care about the router.

• I want the router to connect with any method that will allow me to use all ports and access the internet normally, so every device can use things like Plex and my other University's SSO.
