i found a us version for you here :)
I guess you got downvoted because you linked a gendercrit sub, but the document itself, and the metafilter thread from which it is condensed, are both very good (my gf recently shared them with me).
There's a tribe in Bound in Blood by PC Hodgell where women can marry other women and keep house like other het couples. It's lesbian friendly, but... it's a fantasy setting and personally, I prefer modern comforts.
When Women Were Warriors is also lesbian friendly, but is also a fantasy setting. :(
The anime Vandread has a planet that only has women, and procreation relies on science to combine DNA from 2 women and one wife carries the child. I'd be more than happy to live in a planet full of women and also have a chance to pilot a spaceship. :3
There's also an app if you have Android (don't know about iOS, but probably an equivalent there too) that lets you look up exactly who all your senators and representatives are, and that has an actual call button right on each of their pages. Don't give up the ship!
http://www.dictionary.com/browse/socialization?s=t
>a continuing process whereby an individual acquires a personal identity and learns the norms, values, behavior, and social skills appropriate to his or her social position.
Speaking about personal behaviors, as do all the other definitions listed on that page
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socialization
>...refer to the lifelong process of inheriting and disseminating norms, customs, values and ideologies, providing an individual with the skills and habits necessary for participating within their own society.
Once again talking about personal behaviors.
Edit: Oh I see the Merriam-Webster page doesn't give you the definition of "socialization", it gives you the definition of "socialize". That might be your confusion. Also side note the MW website has terrible performance.
I went the Amazon route. This came in the mail last week.
I hear you on the cat disliking it. That's a given. I've tried to get a photo of him but I haven't been patient enough and he seems to sit for like a few seconds then manages to run away. D'oh!
I know he still loves me. I hope you get that photo. :)
I like to read philosphy books, or world books that just flip my brain upside down.
Robert M. Pirsig - Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance
Primer on Netflix is a great trippy movie.
Or, if I need mindless stuffy stuff I really liked the Immortal Descendants books by April White. Robert J. Crane 'Girl in the Box' and 'out of the box' series are pretty mindless but well written.
uhm. I read a lot.
Hot toddy for colds!
I was in a 4 year relationship with a man before realizing I was gay. This document was like an epiphany to me, I related to so much of it. I hope it can help confirm or deny your suspicions!
https://www.docdroid.net/N46Ea3o/copy-of-am-i-a-lesbian-masterdoc-pdf#page=5
It might seem a bit silly, but the doc "Am I a Lesbian" actually helped me figure out that I've been dealing with compulsory heterosexuality all along haha.
I also used to identify as bi, but mostly dated men and it always felt odd, and uncomfortable until I realized that I was not really attracted to them but just felt like it was the right thing to do. I thought for a while that I could be aro-ace but it didn't feel right either and then I started dating girls and it all made sense!
Of course it might not be the same for you, but I still suggest that you look into it, it can be helpful! :)
Reverse image search, video calling, etc. No way to be sure but you can pick up a knack for these kinds of things.
Also be aware of thispersondoesnotexist.com profile pictures. Probably won’t impact dating but there’re plenty of twitter/other social media accounts created by the alt-right that use it to spread hate messages and propaganda.
With Cytube you can watch via streaming links like Youtube/Vimeo/Twitch/etc. and if you have the file you can upload/watch via a Google Drive link. It's just through the browser and you can just use a temporary guest login instead of making an account if you don't want to.
Rabbit sounds like it's basically screen sharing, so you can watch Netflix or Hulu or whatever too. So that would definitely us give more options. I think the only downside there was the 25 person room limit, which, depending on the level of interest, might not even be a problem.
If you want to see what Cytube looks like, /r/Movie_Club's channel is here: http://cytu.be/r/MovieClub. I made a channel to play around with a bit too, that should be here: https://cytu.be/r/quercus
In the meantime, if you ever throw together another unofficial movie night, I'm totally there! :)
Outdoorsy to me involves camping, and I side more masculine. One of the best gifts my wife got me was my fiskars hatchet. It’s perfectly sized to take just about anywhere. It goes camping, kayaking, the backyard for campfires, and stays in my Jeep year round. The head is molded into the handle and the steel stays sharp and is easy to sharpen. hatchet
That line is amazing! I definitely only knit or sew for people I love (sometimes not even then, learn to sew your own damn buttons!). I'm reminded of a pattern book my grandma gave me called "Never Knit Your Man a Sweater Until You've Got the Ring" with projects that are scaled up by level of difficulty/level of commitment. It's pretty hilarious and randomly heteronormative (what is heteronormative knitting even?) but most of the patterns are gender neutral thankfully.
edit Here's the link to the book on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1580176461/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_rKuUxbXCBXEFB
I can totally relate!! My chest is also on the smaller side (well — it gets bigger when I’m on my period, does that count? XD). Personally, I think you should just wear whatever you want! Life’s too short to care about what others think about you, so if you wanna wear a crop top, go rock a crop top!
Not sure if this counts as a pic of inspiration since my boobs aren’t anything special, but 🤷🏻♀️: https://imgur.com/a/CBdwmSz
Honestly though, all chest sizes are cute!
If you want to add some extra oomph, you can always just wear a really good push-up bra! I got this one on amazon recently and it is AMAZING!! I’m in love with it!!
I've had good success with Bumble, but idk if that will be effective in a small town. If you haven't already, it might be worth doing the rounds on the popular dating apps (okcupid, tinder, bumble, her, etc...).
Meetup.com, or the Meetup app, is also great. There are groups for lots of interests, including social groups for LGBT+ people. Again, this depends on what is available in your region, but it's worth checking out. Besides, you might meet other wlw in meetup groups that are not LGBT+ oriented.
I'm afraid I can't help you much with chatrooms, though. Maybe the mods of this sub could set up a room at some point?
Thank you for sharing RomanaNoble!
I also reside in a small town, but it is a little bigger than other's I've seen; it does the job!
So, you should try meetup.com and see if they have any nearby meetups for you to meet. I'm 42 years old and I don't like telling people my age because I don't look my age. I can probably pass for late 20's, early 30's because I have always tried to take care of myself with the foods I put in my body and trying to keep up with exercise. For me, I have found that many ladies my age have let themselves go. So, I can't help but be a little picky, I prefer to find someone that cares to take care of themselves too!
You are not too old, you can still find people, but honestly I don't bother with dating apps. You just have to go do social things that you love, volunteer somewhere. Mingle with a diverse group, make regular friends and if you get close enough and tell them about yourself who knows? And sometimes people get connected through friends of friends. Don't give up, just explore differently. Look to just make friends and usually when you are not looking that is when you find the one.
I went through a huge autobiography/memoir phase. One of my favourites was actually Cherie Currie's Neon Angel.
Very raw. There is one uncensored, disturbing part that was hard to get through. The only book that made me physically ill while reading. She is a strong woman.
Chuck Palahniuk is one of my favourite authors. Again, disturbing, wacky, out there stuff. A lot of great one liners. Check out Invisible Monsters.

I have the same issue and I’ve been saving my mattress with this blanket
Its technically a dog blanket but it’s really high quality, doesn’t have a weird texture, and washes well. It’s been fantastic honestly because it helps me feel much less self-conscious about the waterworks.
None! I have these helpful little friends instead
Good balance between my high femme aesthetic and also making sure my girl feels good

You are gorgeous and your outfit looks great! Maybe add something that isn’t obviously a rainbow, but something that other lesbians will identify like this: https://www.amazon.com/Chakra-Bracelets-Chakras-Crystals-Healing/dp/B09GP8J7H9
Lol, thats awesome!! Not sure if you found it, but here's a link!

I know amazon sorta sucks but here

Thank you for replying. You are brave. I read Carmen Bin Laden’s book:
https://www.amazon.com/Inside-Kingdom-Life-Saudi-Arabia-ebook/dp/B001E9NEDQ/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1OMI9421904MG&keywords=carmen+bin+laden+book&qid=1649125730&sprefix=carmen+bin%2Caps%2C53&sr=8-1
Found it very interesting, but I don’t know how realistic it was. I can’t imagine being gay and living in Saudi. Hope things will change. Must be hard separating from your family. Good luck.
Looks like the app I haven't isn't on the Google Play Store anymore.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.thinkfree.searchbyimage
This one has good reviews though! You could also just always ask for better proof if you're skeptical the person isn't who they say they are.
Yeah I had a look at their profile and tbh this gives me trans-woman-figuring-stuff-out vibes. I also used my nsfw account as a throwaway for asking questions on trans subs, posting selfies etc. back in the day, and that combined with the general lack of identifying house/location characteristics in their pics makes me think this is just a transfemme wlw who wants lesbians to validate their body without getting identified irl. The photoshopping the face could also be a way to remain anonymous, since facetune could still end up looking like you, especially without long hair.
All that said, I don't think it's cool to grab someone else's face and put it over yours. I get why they'd photoshop, but the ethical thing to do would be to grab someone from thispersondoesnotexist.com or something. I totally agree with you in that regard, OP, but as a trans woman it hurt to read "this is clearly a man's body" "these are disturbing fantasies" "you've got horrible eyesight if you buy into this" etc. and I imagine if this person IS a trans woman trying to figure herself out, it must have hurt her a lot more to see this. I'm (unfortunately intimately) aware that subs like this get a lot of creepy guys and need to be gatekept a little, but I'd edit those bits out. A lot of the reason it took me so long to transition was fear that other wlw wouldn't find me attractive, and this kind of rhetoric doesn't help folks who might have similar bodies to this person, and especially doesn't help this person (given the benefit of the doubt that they're trans.)
tl;dr I agree it's uncool to photoshop someone else's face, but this person strikes me as an early-stage transfemme
Sounds like you’re starting to sort things out. It’s a process!! A lot of what you mention is very common in the “lesbian experience”. I’d recommend reading through the lesbian master doc and see if that answers some questions for you
It's kinda hard to explain... here's a link to it. https://www.docdroid.net/N46Ea3o/copy-of-am-i-a-lesbian-masterdoc-pdf#page=5
Love it, but maybe think about unbuttoning it and rolling the sleeves until you get it tailored. Or maybe just losing the jacket in general and getting a belt like this .
Aww, not really :( I'm not really an aficionado or anything.
I really like the Peaberry brand from Trader Joe's - the medium roast from Kenya was heavenly but I'm not sure they have it anymore; the others are good though too.
And I used to love the Jamaica Blue Mountain blend of Magnum Exotics at Costco: http://www.costco.com/.product.11539195.html
I'm still in the "try something new each month" phase I guess :) Nothing's stood out for a year or two.
Given that these T-shirt shops powered by GearLaunch are usually fraudelent, i doubt that you have a valid license to use this logo from Shutterstock.
I emailed their infringement department
Nah I am your age and I understand. Loneliness kills, and gay apps suck especially for women. Honestly I recommend just getting out there. Try new clubs, events, meetup (like meetup.com it isn't dating). You could also go to pride and might find someone.
Thanks for your advice. I did try to go to those types of LGBT meetups (mostly Meetup.com), but I kept getting removed from groups due to my busy schedule. They were very awkward, and I rarely ended up talking to people (I have a problem of going completely silent in groups of more than 3 people). It feels impossible to meet people organically, like just during my day to day activities...
It really does feel hopeless sometimes...
I know you may not want to do dating sites, but it's honestly the best way. People can write out what they want, and you can say yay or nay. Granted, the downside is that folks get to be a bit too picky and will discard someone over one tiny flaw. But, they do work. If you are absolutely against them, I'd try meetup.com and look for meetups for wlw. Good luck!

Let me introduce you to Bikini Zone. I’ve been using it for 20 years and I swear by it! It’s a clear shave gel with moisturizers that “prevents Razor Bumps, Burn, Shaving Irritation and Itchiness” Bikini Zone Anti-Bumps Shave Gel
I find community online a lot, but I take it offline as well. Now that I am back in SC, the internet is more important than it was in say, New York. Of course, meetup.com is great.
I have been out to everyone in my in person life since I was 14, so that is a non issue.

As a side note, not much of a fan of Autostraddle anymore. They're pretty hostile to lesbians there.
Sure, I got it from Amazon! Wantdo Men's Military Jacket Casual Canvas Jacket Stand Collar Field Coat Windbreaker
I wanted one with a stiff and standing collar. I lined it with spikes like my shoulders. ☺️
Not at all. I wish Reddit has video chats (not that RPAN shit) so it would be easier to block phonies. Something like https://tinychat.com/#category=all ...I used to chat there all the time with a group of lesbians years ago. Lost touch when I got into a relationship with a very jealous woman who hated me video chatting with other women. 🙄
I have short hair and have seen people with similar styles that take like twenty minutes to do theirs. Mine takes a minute tops, no joke.
I use Redken Brews Texture Pomade For Men, 3.4 Fl Oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0799SB7B4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_132RZ1HVBHBSA92FP2XT
You want the maximum hold matte finish. Just like a small finger scoop- about nickel size. Spread it all over your hands, smear it throughout. I made this video bc I couldn’t believe this person took so long- their video is edited and sped up… I know their’s is very fancy and all but my hair is fine and silky so the point is just how malleable and easy to work with it is.
I didn’t get it to perfection in the video but it literally takes just another seven seconds to get there.
https://vm.tiktok.com/ZM8JSDdjm/
I’d love to know if you end up liking it if you get it bc I have recommended it to people before and never asked. Maybe it is just right for my hair textures and style choice. 🤷♀️
How about a violet colored drink mug with a cute saying on it? Something like this, but perhaps a different saying if you’d like:

I loved this book called 'The ABCs of Lgbt" when I came out to myself! You can buy it on Amazon and it might also be nice for you to read as parents. Also, the movie 'But I'm a Cheerleader' and gay YouTubers like AlexisandLillian, AlaynaJoy, BreanneWilliamson

I bought some subtle pride earrings on Amazon recently. Specifically for work (I work in a conservative place).
Commenting so I can find this again while I go get the link (on mobile)
Edit: here is the necklace I bought. They have stuff for bisexual, transgender, and nonbinary people as well as some patriotic stuff (US based). The artist seems to accept requests as well (she made me earrings to match the necklace) so if you have an idea for something you can just ask :)
I highly recommend reading the book, “The Five Love Languages” by Gary Chapman. It’s extremely useful to all relationships with loved ones whether they are partners, children, siblings, friends, etc.
Here’s the Amazon link: The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman
And, no, I’m not affiliated with the author or publisher in any way; I’ve just found the book very helpful.
honestly, she found them at Hallmark xD however I cannot find a listing for them now :(

Omg thank you!! 🥰 I loosely follow the CG method from r/curlyhair and just wash at the base with conditioner, been shampoo free since March. I use a large tooth comb in the shower to comb the curls out, condition, and then wring the water out. Then just use a coconut cream leave-in conditioner and let air dry :)
Thank you! Ok so:
I totally thrifted the blazer. Check out any women's blazer section at your local goodwill or thrift shop though they all usually have a good selection. Men's blazers are too "shouldery" for me. But if you have to shop for one, h&m has a good selection
Shirt was a men's h&m button up, not too pricey and they stretch a little
Pants also h&m "skinny fit" men's suit pants
Shoes came from famous footwear
Got the collar chain from Amazon

I've owned "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" for over 20 years. I love that book!!
I'll look into Neal Stephenson. Sounds like he's a good fit.
Have you read the Emberverse series by S.M. Sterling? The first book is "Dies the Fire", post-apocalyptic, earth based belief systems, and hey, lesbians!!!
I'll check out Primer too..
Thanks for the suggestions!
There's so much to choose from I don't know. It's easier to point out styles I don't like than it is to point out ones that I do. I think part of my problem is there's shoes I really like but don't think that I can pull them off. Fashion is hard.
Right now I'm most likely to get something like this but that's just cause I think it's the safe option.
