For timing questions during a run, please see the timing of a run chart.
4.3 is the last chance to use abilities (like Batty). 4.4 is when a run is successful (so when sneakdoor would move you). So your last chance to use batty is when they are still on archives. Once they move to HQ there are no more windows to use batty.
Therefore Batty on HQ cannot be used during a sneakdoor run.
As you can see on these full visual spoilers on BGG, which are somewhat low re~~z~~s, you play a PSI game to make Markus Batty's ability fire, which makes him a lot better and also prevents an infinite combo.
Well, I'd say it has some competition.
People asked me to repost here when my extension had a few more features. This is a quick update on the latest significant feature. Jankteki currently does the following:
It's coming on very slowly, it's not very polished, but it is probably slightly useful. Let us know if there's anything you want that's not on the roadmap / todolist. I'm @simonscarfe on twitter, @si on the Stimhack slack, and obviously, I'm contactable here.
Darwin is actually very strong in single-core-only, and you can use the recurring credits from spinal modem to buff him each turn. I present you:

about 80% of players I know or have talked to online use the cardboard card storage boxes.
Like this (picture uses cards from another game, but principle is the same).
https://boardgamegeek.com/camo/add3f9d8b3be25d56309fdaba2d0181effe3c6af/687474703a2f2f6661726d362e7374617469632e666c69636b722e636f6d2f353330342f353630373239343231355f663239666139666335395f622e6a7067
The idea is that you can use whatever sorting system you think is best and just insert new cards as they are released. Many people either to alphabetical, or by faction/type then alphabetical.
When you organize by binder you're basically forced to organize cards by pack/release order, which makes it hard for me. If i suddenly think "man, i should put Blue level clearance in this deck", i dont automatically remember it's from fear and loathing, so i'd have to go look up the pack to find it quickly.
Also, the way you have it now, when new cards come out you can't just put them in where they belong. If a new piece of weyland ice came out that began with B, you're taking out ALL the cards that come after it, moving them over one space, and inserting that card. thats too much work for me to do every pack.
But if my cards are alphabetical, i just go to the B section and look for BLUE. Or I go to the corp/operations/HB section and look alphabetically for BLUE. In addition, if i think i want a economy operation, i can just browse through all my operations to see if one fits. When a new pack comes out, i just drop it it.
It's the same organizational system. Its not as pretty to flip through, but its a LOT easier to add cards to.
The first time it was spoiled, it read: "The Runner cannot play copies of events that are in his or her heap"
I wish they'd kept it!! Wildly powerful, but so is Blacklist. The runner can trash it of they need to.
Please read: https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1174534/theory-analyzing-psi-game
I consider it required material for anyone in a psi-game meta.
TL;DR: >For example, if we are playing vs an account siphon as corp with 7+ credits, and we believe our opponent plays a RPS strategy of 1/3, 1/3, 1/3 instead of the GTO solution for our specific Psi game then we know they are playing 0 credits with too low a frequency. We exploit this by always choosing 0 credits ourselves. Our resulting EV is: 1/3*-5 + 2/3*0= -1.66667, 1 credit better than equilibrium. Our opponent's EV is: 1/3*10 – 1/3*1 – 1/3*2 = 7/3 = 2.3333 the same as equilibrium.
TL;DR:TL;DR For Runner optimal choice should be slanted to 0, then 1, then 2, unless you already know how your opponent plays(either from previous play or from game state i.e. he doesn't have 2 credits).
For Corp, it's the opposite. Optimal choice should be slanted to 2, then 1, then 0. Corp has everything to lose in a psi bid.
Dice Rolling is actually not a great strategy, since it give the runner a giant economic advantage.
A) You totally should.
B) It came from last year's Netrunner win. BGG is historically a more Eurogamery site, however with the recent surge of boardgame popularity, the community is growing and getting more varied. The stereotype remains (for better or for worse). For whatever reason, Netrunner winning two years ago and then being the front runner really ticked off a lot of BGG users who don't think it's a good game or that it can be better than the classics like Agricola and the debate ran rampant. At some point, someone photoshopped the dude from Caylus onto the art for Scorched Earth and proclaimed "TAKE 6 MEAT DAMAGE FROWNY EURO DUDE". Thus the microbadge.
All I could find with a quick search
Double EDIT: Found the original image. If you scroll up a couple posts before this one (make sure you're looking at comments under the right Geeklist Item), you'll see the original quote.
From 9000 BC to today, apparently.
They're cards from the original Netrunner released in 1996 (it's a bit weird that the print says April 1995, don't know what's up with that).

Android: Netrunner (what this sub is about) is a remake of that game released in 2012.

>and even Reina's ability.
This is not correct. "Reina Roja's ability only lasts for the duration in which the Corp is paying to rez the ice."[1]
Is very, very good. Even better if you can leverage for even more value, e.g. with Personal Workshop.
I was very surprised when back in the day (core only) I was told by assorted BGG people essentially that it is bad and so I am also bad and I should stop being bad:
https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/874069/stimhack
So, to those haters: I told you so. Recommend reading that thread just because 20/20 hindsight makes for hilarity.
To be fair, I am really bad, but it's not because of Stimhack.
My friend and I did a podcast episode about teaching the game! Listen if you want, or you can just check out the teaching deck recommendations in the shownotes =)
Actually a Japanese person would consider it to have 4 mora, causing the pronunciation to edge towards ko ma i nu. But really it ends up being half way between that and ko mai nu.
So you can go through the crazy process of making them almost identical to real NR cards. Some shops wont like it though as it is someone else's IP and they might get weird on you about it.
Or you can do what I do:
Go to the UPS store (or any print store based on where you live).
Use this website to make a list of what cards you want that will automatically generate a preview and then print the cards off with the nice store printer. Most places have options of paper quality and type.
If you choose to print on cardstock and then sleeve the cards, they will be 80% close to the real thing and most people wont even notice. If you want to get really hard core you can sleeve them with another card in the sleeve.
Every printer is different but if you print landscape style then you should be able to print 8 cards per sheet of paper. Rough estimate puts you at about 6.50 USD per deck of cards you print.
TL:DR go to a print shop such as UPS or fed ex store and print off proxies using high quality printer and a proxy website that you like. Cut out the cards and sleeve them and you're done.
Both /u/azeltir (Four is Flatline) and I (Ancur) collect all the spoilers as they come out.
After the final next week the next tournament has much stabler camera - this is due to better space, less people crowding and the tripod being able to be placed on the floor not the table...

Nice list! You always make very interesting videos.
Small nit: Komainu is pronounced all as one word, like "ko-MY-noo". I guess that's just a pet peeve of mine though.
This is exactly what I’m saying. The product that isn’t “pretty much gone” is copies of revised core. Amazon UK has them, right now, in stock, for less than RRP.
But Nisei has rendered that an invalid product in favour of something that you’re describing as “weird cheap and bad”.
New players are crucial, and I fear this will drive them away.

I think in this case, chronos protocol would have priority since it's worded as a constant ability, whereas Titanium ribs is worded as a triggered ability (it uses the word "whenever"). See this thread for some details about constant vs. conditional abilities.
Femme's trigger ability is literally "When you encounter that ice". You must encounter the ICE for her ability to trigger.
~~This is different from other bypass effects, such as using Inside Job.~~ Wrong about this, Inside Job and Feint are both also on-encounter.
There was even a Lukas ruling about simultaneous triggers fizzling because an earlier resolved ability with the same trigger forced the game state past the trigger point that works how I described above.
EDIT: Finally found the relevant ruling. It is here https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1298263/lukas-abilities if you scroll down to the answer labelled (6). I have copied it below for convenience.
> Jacob
> Now that we've perhaps settled which abilities are which, there are several questions as to how they resolve and interact. (6) First off, there seems to be an unwritten rule that conditional abilities that have been triggered are prevented from resolving if the trigger condition becomes irrelevant due to the timing or game state moving beyond the trigger condition. Is this true? I have come to this tenet through the following precedent:
> - Ice subroutines are required conditional abilities that can be stopped from resolving if another subroutine or effect ends the run or encounter. (7) Speaking of, what is the trigger condition of subroutines?
> - Bypassing stops triggered "when encountered" abilities from resolving
> - You can only resolve one replacement effect per trigger before the others are invalid
> - The Parasite/Ice Carver v. Tollbooth ruling shows that trashing ice prevents "when encountered" abilities from resolving
> - There are rulings showing that ending the run or using Copycat to move to a different server prevents triggered Awakening Centers from resolving
>
> Lukas
> (6) That is correct.
>
> (7) Subroutines are required conditional abilities that fire in order during 3.2 of a run.
There was actually a pretty good discussion on BGG on this topic about a year ago. Still getting a couple of responses.
I'm on the side that IDs should not be allowed. I don't feel right copying my response from that thread here (I could be persuaded), but here is a link.

Netrunner is going to be "punished", but won't be DQ'd now that Brian has spoken. But DQ'ing is apparently something they're willing to consider for excessive forum posting about their competition. Its a little bit w/e.
And to be fair, I felt the need to troll these guys this morning. But on the whole our community is better than I am. Be your own judge of BGG. Its much better than this one contest shows.
I'd express more opinions on BGG and respond today, but they banned me for posting the thread asking everyone to be more civil, so w/e.
Yeah good thinking right there and thanks for your reply too.
I was a little confused when I read that from BGG, cause the user says at the first remove and after it goes away after that encounter.
Weird, I still hear it as Koma-inu. Not sure if that's just exposure on my part as someone who has lived there and speaks Japanese. There's definitely a slight blending when said at a normal cadence, but to me the koma and inu parts still sound distinct, with the 'mai' sounding like an inadvertent blend of two syllables vs. the deliberate combination in maiko (舞妓、まいこ).
I think the issue I have is when people try to say it like Koh-mai-nu and it sounds like two words broken in the wrong place -- "Kohmai nu" -- which just sounds wrong to me.
A few months ago I used some pretty heavy data mining software in order to do market basket analysis on a set of tournament deck lists. I didn't have the first clue as to how to build a deck at the time and I wound up with an Andromeda and a Weyland: Better Worlds deck with some key insights like "always have 3x plascrete".
Here's an example of what my data said. It's a list of rules that say "if you have this, chances are you'll want to have this". The problem was my source data was only like 13 tournament deck lists. I really needed more source data to draw better rules.

On a recent episode of the delightful Shipment from ChiLo podcast, Boggs fields questions about the list (H-S discussion is at 1:17:00)
A few points that he makes/I've paraphrased/probably misinterpreted:
If you'd like a cheap and alternative option you can jump on the good old Amazon and buy this stuff. Lay all your tokens out on the table and slowly squeeze the goo onto the tokens. The surface tension of the goo will be enough so it does not drip over the sides (assuming you are careful during application). Then you let them dry and and do the other side.
Your tokens will all have a plastic feel and be somewhat protected. I didn't do the sides on my tokens so the sides are still cardboard but you honestly can't even tell. I've really liked the effect it's had and it gives them a nice feel and grip but without breaking your bank to purchase fancy tokens.
I also have found that when in a tournament setting, people really appreciate not having to figure out the denominations of your alternative neon currency.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.shuneault.netrunnerdeckbuilder
Have you tried this app? I think it does a pretty good job for card viewing and deck building. There are a few others on the play store as well, though I haven't checked them out yet.
If you've got access to an iOS smartphone, I think I remember Net Deck letting you indicate how many cores/datapacks you own while building, and that also lets you export to OCTGN/Meteor/a text file. Deck Builder (for Android devices) also does most of that, I think. I can't think of anything that can tell you exactly which cards are left in your collection/available for other decks.

EDIT: I forgot that Net Deck is only for iPad. It still rules.
Here is a link to my version of this deck as an octgn file. I took out the Tinkering and added Net Shield, Plascrete Carapace, and a memchip.
Or, he didn't post them, he just transcribed them: I should've checked that link. The scans I sent are in this forum: https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1129700/collected-text-data-pack-and-expansion-inserts
For questions like these it's often helpful to refer back to the main rulebook (or faq) section on the timing of a run, as seen here
As long as they rez and use Marcus batty at 4.3 or earlier, if he ends the run then the run stops there, and you will never get to 4.4. You're only successful if you reach 4.4.
So yes, there is a step after all the ice, after caprice nisei psi games, and after the runner says "I'm going to access cards/I'm going to Jack out", where batty can still be used to end the run an make it unsuccessful.
It's also with noting that you have to say if your going to Jack out or not before 4.3, so if he knows you are going to access a trap he might choose a subroutine with damage instead, since you're already locked into your choice at that time and can't change your mind.
> People spending thousands are building decks in nonrotating formats.
>Short of a high profile ban, once you've got the deck assembled it is unlikely that you'll need more than one or two card titles at a time from any future set, and all the eternal "staples" are old cards from already rotated sets.
The problem is that tournaments for rotating formats are by far the most common. According to this there are 51 premier events left this year. Of them, only 3 include non-rotating formats (possibly 1 more, site was unclear). I'm only counting major competitive events since those are the only ones you need to spend so much money on when deck building.
> And honestly, commenting "I like this card, I bet you'll like it when you see it, the design's very flavourful" isn't at all dick-ish.
But likewise, it doesn't add anything to the conversation. It's only there to draw attention to the fact that he's a playtester (apparently). See also: humblebrag

Got a lot of cool comments about my first attempt at tokens. Sharing my success with Status Tokens. More statuses to come!
> Explaining these contexts is very, very complicated
Oh, no room for Bender, eh? Fine, I'll make my own card game. With blackjack. And hookers. In fact, forget the blackjac- wait...
But yeah, I'm sure there is, I just need to play a bunch more (At the moment I'd probably just throw either of them on a server with no ice and put a couple of advancement tokens on it and just be like "come at me bro." :P).
When someone has committed to learning about the game, I still like the decks provided in Netrunner Teaching Deck Project, even though the project seems to have been abandoned since 2013. Most cards introduced since then still don't do a better job of introducing the central mechanics of the game.
I prefer this style of teaching deck over the official demo decks, because the demo decks are heavily slated towards fast play and flatline victories. This makes the demo decks good if you need to give multiple opponents a quick taste of the game in group or convention setting but they can be discouraging to new players whose interest is already piqued by punishing understandable mistakes with sudden losses. The last lesson I want a new player to pick up is to be timid about running.
It occurs to me - are these spoilers 100% confirmed in terms of influence/cost numbers? I assumed they would be, but I just noticed that Corporate Town is listed as '0 to rez, 5 to trash', while the earlier card fan we've seen listed it as 1 to rez: https://boardgamegeek.com/camo/d769f714b98a319540a74d82382bac453f6473e1/687474703a2f2f7777772e66616e74617379666c6967687467616d65732e636f6d2f6666675f636f6e74656e742f616e64726f69642d6e657472756e6e65722f73616e73616e2d6379636c652f41444e32335f66616e322...
I agree with the 3x Nisei Mk II.
@Linither: In fact, I think that agenda is the whole reason this ID exists in the first place, due to how the Tennin ID interacts with installed-but-not-advanced agendas when you end your turn.
For more on this subject, here's a thread on BGG that goes quite in depth about an NBN deck I built around the corresponding interaction with Astroscript Pilot Program in NBN. The thread is old since I've only recently come back to regular A:NR play after 12-18 months of mostly just keeping up with news on the internet forums, but if you think about how this relates to Tennin scoring Nisei Mk II and how ridiculously powerful that agenda's ability is, you'll see why 3 of them are the first 3 cards you should include in your Tennin deck:
https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/954754/deck-unveiling-nbn-never-advance
Moreover, this card and Caprice are the reasons that you would be interested in using Excalibur in your deck. While I don't disagree with 2x Caprice instead of 3x (I go back and forth on this in my deck; I'm currently using 2 and I am using 1x Excalibur), you definitely want 3x Nisei Mk II to really make Excalibur mean.
Only four remain now, battling to take the crown of UK National Champion 2015. In this game, we see Seamus Macleod return (once again!) with his Kit to face Tim Fowler's fearsome NEH.

Getting all the faction deluxe boxes is great, but since they're nearly all out of stock right now, maybe not worth it. If you can somehow snag a copy of Reign and Reverie I'd highly recommend that, but not for any of the other deluxe boxes.
The TD box has some nice cards for the factions it features but the legacy game part of it is usually described as mediocre at best. If you want to do a legacy game I would recommend doing one of the fan-made ones. For example, you could run this campaign and proxy any cards you don't have with this proxy generator.
I have no clue, sorry. :(
Since the end of Netrunner was announced products have sold out nearly everywhere. At this point if you want to use cards you don't have I would actually just recommend printing out some proxies and slipping them into some sleeves, or playing on Jinteki.net. You might be able to find it being sold second-hand, but I wouldn't count on it.
Netrunner Proxy Generator: https://codepen.io/Theavon/full/YQmgBG/
You are thinking of Forger.
As a side note, all current Netrunner spoilers can be found accumulated in this Board Game Geek thread.
He also might have meant work compression. Work compression is doing work as the corporation over multiple turns, and then forcing the runner to match it over one turn. If they aren't prepared, they don't have enough time to do the work in one turn.
Take a look at http://www.bookdepository.com/ ... believe it or not they sell Netrunner and other FFG products! I find that their prices are quite good and they offer free shipping worldwide from their dispatch in the UK. Edit: That said, it doesn't look like they have any of the data packs from the Mumbad cycle listed for sale.
Yes, the Aero Hobbies group is good and that store hosts tournaments as well which is nice. Great location for West LA meetups. The Netrunner Google group is active too. Hit them both up and join.
There's also this Google Group, which... I forgot to hand over to someone when I left Cambridge >_> Sorry to those who had outstanding join requests!
But it's a decent enough place to organise, I'd say.
Yeah, I heard they want to build it out of nano-fibre tubing, but can't make more than 3cm of it in length. They estimate that by 2030, they'll be able to make the tubing long enough for use.
Edit: Here's an article! http://www.cnet.com/news/japanese-company-plans-space-elevator-by-2050/
I thought Sebastian Barth's comments were pretty good when I was starting out:
https://boardgamegeek.com/blogcategory/1873
Note that the quality of a card is meta dependent. Data Dealer was a joke for a long time, until cards like Shi.Kyu and Domestic Sleepers made it... maybe not great, but at least useful in some matchups. Yog.0 was the dominant decoder for a very long time until Lotus Field came along.
Anyway, some cards I've never seen used to good effect:
Security Subcontract. It doesn't give you all that much money, and Weyland has plenty of ways to get rich already. Blue Sun does the same sort of thing, but much better.
Cell Portal is too expensive, doesn't do anything by itself, and needs to be drawn early, or to combo with other mediocre cards. As a general rule, ice that needs to go on the inside of a server (Zed, Cell Portal...) is hard to make work.
Experiential Data. It makes a single server a little bit more expensive to get into once, and then gets trashed. It does very little for bioroids. Just not very impactful.
Aurora, Pipeline: Just inefficient.
Wyrm: Not completely useless; just expensive compared to Datasucker, which usually does the same thing much better.
I was there too, it was good! The TO was using this to track rounds: https://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/89707/android-netrunner-tournament-worksheet-excel
The only issue I had was that the food break was at ~4pm, which was a bit of an awkward time, but I guess it was OK...except that my 4th round opponent almost didn't make it back from Chipotle in time. Who would have known that Chipotle was so busy at 4pm?
I know right!! I'll tell you, I did spend some time looking into this. This thread was the best I could find on the topic. I decided to put this enhancement on hold for now, maybe someone can help with with this. Alternative option? Get a bunch of people to manually straighten and crop 10-20 images with Gimp? :p
we did an episode all about MaxX last month: https://www.podomatic.com/podcasts/shipmentfromchilo/episodes/2018-05-10T15_51_34-07_00
You'll need to create an account on Github first.
Once you're logged in. Click the Fork button in the repository. The website will guide you through creating your own fork, which means a copy of the repository - you need your own copy because you don't have write permissions on the original one.
At this point you'll need a git client. Github provide their own with a nice user interface so that would be the simplest option - you will see your repository as soon as you log in to it.
You will have to download the repository somewhere to your computer. Do whatever changes that you like and then Commit them. There should be a Commit button somewhere in the interface, it will show you a summary of the changes you've made and ask you to comment on them.
Once that's done, you can push your commit to Github. Their client has a big Sync button for this purpose if I remember correctly.
At this point you have your update on your own copy of the repository on Github - now you want to send those changes to the original one. You do that by creating a Pull Request. There is a button to do it on the website and I believe also in the client.
It will again show a summary of your changes, similarly to when you were doing a commit, in fact you will see that commit on the page. You can write some message and create the request.
Now the only thing that's left is for the owner of the original repository to look at your changes and accept them if they are good.
This covers the minimal scenario of using Github to share a few changes. I haven't covered how to keep your fork updated for example - that's pulling latest changes to your copy of the repository from the original one - something you would have to do if you want to contribute over a longer period of time.
You can PM me with questions if you like.
That's correct, you can buy them on Amazon, which I have done. The problem is that the prices are not so consistent. That one is 14.40 euros with free shipping, so that's great. On the other hand, Democracy and Dogma here is almost 35 euros on Amazon in France. And sometimes they're actually sold by Amazon so shipping is free with Premium, other times it's different stores that sell them through Amazon and shipping costs 3-4 euros on top of the 14-15 euro pack, which increases the cost by a pretty significant percentage. In the end you have to pick and choose and it's a tedious process to sort through them in the first place, meanwhile it's pretty impossible to get any of the Mumbad cycle for a reasonable price.
I've put all the cards in to this app - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wb.headsup&hl=en_GB - and sometimes play it between games.
It's fun and a really good way of learning what the cards do as well.

Download Android Netrunner DeckBuilder for free at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.shuneault.netrunnerdeckbuilder
This is something I quickly threw together. It might lack card draw and Peacock is a tad inefficient, but every deck has its weaknesses. However, it has:
redundant breakers, so you don't just lose because you lost a Corroder
Inside Job because its good
A lot of economy, because you need it to fuel your runs
Special Order to get your breakers if you don't draw into them
Crash Space as meat damage protection. but it also makes removing Siphon Tags easier
Bank Job to make money off of unprotected remotes
John Masanori as a bit of a risky draw engine
R&D multi access with The Makers Eye
Sneakdoor Beta to make the Corp ICE up Archives
Parasite to kill ICE
Note: The three Caches should probably be Easy Mark instead. Just a Shaper reflex
It's not perfect by any means, but a solid start for a Gabe deck I think. Just play around with it and switch out cards as you see fit.
As to your corp deck, remoe Cyberdex Trial, it's a bad card unless you tech against a specific player.
Interesting app.
Although I haven't tried it by playing against someone with it, it does look like it would work decently. The screen flipping feature is a great idea.
I think the text next to each counter is a bit problematic: currently it looks a bit cluttered. The text could probably be replaced with icons (kind of how ANR Turn Tracker does it), maybe making them B&W to keep the simple feel of the app.
Additionally, I'm not sure if the "number wheels" are a good fit for a game where it's common to just increment or decrement a value once or twice every time. I'm not saying this as a definitive way to go, try experimenting with +/- buttons and see if it works as well as the wheels, while keeping things simple and uncluttered.
Other than that it looks very nice! I'll keep it installed to see where it goes.
I've found [these](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073513HH6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) to be pretty good. They might be a bit large for the existing NISEI content though, but you can always grow into them or add other games in there too.
I mean I used this one as a vaguely Jinteki mat, https://www.amazon.ca/Board-Playmat-Mousepad-Compatible-Trading/dp/B09N3NXT98/
There's a ton of good ones with enough searching on Amazon though
You can get smaller ones like this which will do 2-4 pages rather comfortably, but the larger guillotine versions are faster and easier to use. The difference though is one is easily packed up and stored while the other is a giant heavy cutting board.
You might be better off with cardstock, unless you're sleeving all of the paper cards with stiffeners (like garbage Magic cards, or playing cards).
You may know it as a paper cutter, like you may have seen your teachers use. Keep the page count under the max, so they don't slide around when you press on the top layers. I usually only cut 5~6 pages at once when I did mine. Just finished printing out what was missing of my collection myself.
Take 10 minutes and read this: Solving the Psi game. This drastically altered how I approached it, and I typically win at least 50% when I run now.
> Maybe I'm not understanding the point of your table? It assigns "value" to a lot of things, but it's not clear at all how that value is calculated, or even why (or if) it's correct.
Not my table but it's accurate enough to be better than other approaches to the psi game out there.
>See, I would say that lowering your odds from 66% to something lower than 66% counted as a statistical weakness.
This is muddling terms again and in this case I should have been more clear. When I say statistical weakness, I mean that by using a method to generate your psi bids that deviates from the optimal distribution (e.g. mostly/always pick 0 in the face of an opposing die roll), you leave yourself vulnerable to statistical analysis. Assuming your RNG is good enough, using the correct distribution to generate bids yields no similar vulnerability. I.e. this is a case of playing chicken and you're the first person to blink.
Note that in this case we're talking about using Game Theory to generate an optimal bidding strategy for the costs involved, not the strategy that maximises the odds of winning the psi game for either player (these aren't the same thing).
> How is that different from, say, Shaper? It's not like I see anyone ever running Inti. Battering Ram gets OCCASIONAL use, but I can't remember the last time Pipeline or a Creeper?
Seriously? Did you just outright forget Lady? Modern Kate decks spend a grand total of 2 influence on their breaker suites (1 Mimic, 1 Datasucker).
Based on the visuals from https://boardgamegeek.com/blogpost/24049?commentid=5567401#comment5567401
Betty appears to be a psi-game, 0 to rez, 1 to trash. Shaper program and crim resource appear to be 1 cost. That's all I could spot from the images.
It looks like they both do! They're actually reasonably visible on desktop, too; it's too bad they've hidden them on mobile.
I wrote a small jsfiddle to calculate this for you. Simply change the values in the array to the agenda values in the deck, and the decksize if needed (it defaults at 49).
http://jsfiddle.net/d09tfLry/2/
Enjoy!
It's worth noting that it takes 7 runs on R&D on average for nearly every agenda density.
Just wait are you saying they can decline to pay additional costs and still steal the agenda?
I read the clarification as when you decline to pay additional costs you decline to steal.
Clarification: https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/910859/clarification-regarding-clarification-red-herrings
You probably replied to the wrong person, but I don't see any part of the Defective Brainchips art in this kit.
Hmm, I've been going by the discussion over here:
https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1363276/how-do-dorm-computer-and-john-masanori-interact
Looking at the timing diagram it seems to say the run ending happens before the 'run unsuccessful' trigger occurs; this would imply you can't avoid the tag as it is happening after the run has ended.
I made something similar a while ago which I just uploaded to Thingiverse: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:556673
I print out 5 of these (in case I score some Mandatory Upgrades for example) and flip them over when I spend a click. It's hard to say why, but I find this much easier than sliding the token around on the click tracker card.
The calendar that /u/MurphyAt5BrainDamage posted is really good, but keep in mind that turnout might be a little low this week since some people are leaving for Christmas vacation soon. There's also a google group that you can try if you'd like: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/6-meat-damage
Hi folks, the person who made this mat gave me the original Photoshop file on /tg/. I'd love to credit him, but that's anonymous boards for you. You can download it here if you'd like to use it yourself: https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=E8D6D17A9590DB09!139&authkey=!ABYzNKGSOPd7GTI&ithint=file%2cpsd
You're also welcome to edit and use the version I made too (unless of course you too came 49th at Regionals and wanted to brag about it): https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=E8D6D17A9590DB09!140&authkey=!AMR1A5SlBIyTRC4&ithint=file%2cpsd
So, CI for me is combo.deck. There are many ways to play it, but I really liked the one with the Doran's Blades deck by Matt Dawkins (aka CrimsonWraith): https://boardgamegeek.com/blogpost/25805/dorans-blades
But basically it goes like this:
Here's the cards you're looking for in hand to trigger the combo:
2x Biotic Labor (3 in the deck) 3x Shipment from Kaguya 1x Shipment from Mirrormorph (2 in the deck) 2x Trick of Light (2 in the deck) 1x 3/2 agenda (4 in the deck) 1x Priority Requisition (2 in the deck) 1x Efficiency Committee (3 in the deck) You'll also need at least one Ice Wall installed (3 in the deck) with four advancements.
The combo:
1) Biotic Labor (4 clicks remaining, 4 credits spent) 2) Biotic Labor (5 clicks, 8 credits) 3) Install Shipment from Mirrormorph, putting Priority Req, Efficiency Committee, and a 3/2 agenda in three new remote servers (4 clicks, 9 credits) 4) Advance Efficiency Committee (3 clicks, 10 credits) 5) Advance Efficiency Committee (2 clicks, 11 credits) 6) Trick of Light 2 counters from Ice Wall to Efficiency Committee and score it (1 click, 12 credits) 7) Spend Efficiency Committee's Hosted Agenda Counter (2 clicks, 12 credits) 8) Spend Efficiency Committee's Hosted Agenda Counter (3 clicks, 12 credits) 9) Spend Efficiency Committee's Hosted Agenda Counter (4 clicks, 12 credits) 10) Shipment from Kaguya on Priority Requisition and the 3/2 agenda (3 clicks, 12 credits) 11) Shipment from Kaguya on Priority Requisition and the 3/2 agenda (2 clicks, 12 credits) 12) Shipment from Kaguya on Priority Requisition and the 3/2 agenda (1 click, 12 credits), and score the 3/2 agenda 13) Trick of Light from Ice Wall to Priority Requisition and score the Priority Req (0 clicks remaining, 13 credits spent, 7 agenda points scored)
13 steps is a lot, but if you ask me there need to be more steps in this combo :)
> There were 5 copies of the Star Wars core and another 5 copies one of the deluxe boxes in the Barnes and Nobel clearance bin yesterday. I think that is telling.
B&N does an annual Spring Clearance on their inventory, that is not telling of anything.
Thank man for your help and your tips.
The truth is that I am a new player and I have 6 Data packs atm, and 1 deluxe pack so I am trying to work out with that.
Thanks for your effort again. :)
Which spoiler for Forger are you using? The BGG thread has it as non-unique, but still with the "Limit..." text, which is what makes me think it may be an unfinished print just for playtesting.
I think /u/Argolquich's question was just asking that if a console didn't have the "Limit..." text, would the rule still hold? As of now, every console has that text on them, so it's understandably confusing why FFG didn't just make it an official rule in the rulebook instead of repeating it on each card. The passage I quoted from the rulebook is ambiguous as to whether it is
1) actually defining an official rule about cards with the "console" subtype, or
2) just reminding you that consoles have this text, and that this restriction trumps the previously mentioned line about unlimited hardware.
In case 1, FFG wouldn't need to include the "Limit..." text on consoles, since it is already a rule. In case 2, the rule is strictly coming from cards, and all hell will break loose if FFG prints a console without the "Limit..." text.
It really just boils down to semantics, and (at least for now) the implications are benign anyways. My guess is that FFG just didn't want to make subtypes have any inherent rules, and a blanket inclusion of the "Limit..." text was an simple solution.
As of now, uniqueness of consoles is redundant due to the "Limit..." rule printed on every console, so the uniqueness only serves thematic purposes.
EDIT: I accidentally a word
The thing about my cube is so far it is built from donated FFG draft cards (about 14 Cyber War packs per side, and about 8 Overdrive packs per side), plus donated spare IDs. Obviously this means it is very difficult to reproduce exactly.
What might be more useful is to share my process for building my cube, and the spreadsheet I use. If you're interested I could send it to you, but be warned that right now its rough as I've so far only made it for my use.
I borrowed heavily from the work of Android^3: Adventures in Netrunner Cube. The writer of this blog did some solid work analyzing the breakdown of cards needed in a cube to allow players to make functional decks, while still having space for crazy designs.
From the BGG spoiler thread, Synthetic blood is:
> Synthetic Blood - Shaper - Resource: Genetics - 2c - 2 inf
> The first time you are dealt damage each turn, draw 1 card.
Comet might be a similarly fun console to import. Though I guess that's true for all priority events, assuming my interpretation of the rules is correct.
I bought this set off etsy, as someone posted on this subreddit about a month ago:
https://www.etsy.com/listing/173182257/android-netrunner-plastic-token-set
They're really good, and you get everything you need in the set. Only issue is that the click counters are a bit weird, I don't bother with them and just use virus counters instead.
edit: it looks like they've changed a few of the tokens since I bought it, and not for the better. Might be they were too similar to tournament tokens?
It is actually an important distinction, note, the the layer systerm in Magic. I know it might seem less relevant now, but knowing that 'blanking' a card cannot always happen all at once is worth tracking.
A huge part of netrunner is avoiding the complicated, corner-case judging of MTG. This was true when Richard Garfield designed the original game, and doubly so when FFG and Lukas revived it. That being said, when a "card ID box is blank"(/becomes) blank, it is important to know how that happens (maybe). We've already had a card (Tennin) that could interact with any card, including IDs (and is them as a functionally invincible battery for advancement tokens, which is why it was errata'd).
We do have a Patreon for this. In fact, this whole series was originally set as one of the Goals. https://www.patreon.com/hacktheplanet
We already have a bunch of 7th Sea packs. We haven't opened them yet.
Not sure if we are going to do Doomtown simply because we aren't experienced with the LCG reboot.
We would love to do Dune. Sadly, it's one of the CCG's that is insanely expensive.
For now, we'll put Spycraft, Shadowfist, Illiminati and Five Rings on the list.
Cleaners says "Whenever you do meat damage, do 1 additional meat damage", Argus says "Whenever the Runner steals an agenda, he or she must either take 1 tag or suffer 2 meat damage".
According to this ruling, "suffering" damage does not mean damage was "done" (but doing damage results in suffering it).
https://boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/183599/customizable-card-games-fixed-expansions-lcgs-and
I will refrain from commenting on individual games, but as far as I know, that's the list of games that qualify.
>Same with q chip. I still hold that discarding from hand isn't losing the program and cannot apply to either Burke or q. You're simply lost the chance with a supplier or something. I still don't see the confusion. It seems very open and shut unless a ruling dictates otherwise. You have to choose an installed program to trash.
Lukas has ruled that Q-Coherence Chip trashes when a program in the grip is trashed due to damage.
It is also clear that there are some effects which allow the runner to choose to trash a program from their grip. In particular,
Freelance Coding Contract: "Trash up to 5 programs from your grip."
Monolith: "Trash a program from your grip:"
You need to look for shops that import stuff directly from the US, without having a local distributor.
When checking Amazon and sub-sellers I often see UK shops having stuff available. (Germany here)
I don't know of any subscription offers, but shops like http://www.bookdepository.com (seems to be UK based) often offer packs for reasonable prices at amazon.
Shipping might take probably 1-2 weeks tho... In case of bookdepository I just checked it for offering packs for around 15 euro including free shipping.
