If you read the article, it says the book came out this month.
Here's the Amazon link for it.
If this kind if link isn't allowed here, I apologize, I'll take it out if need be.
Found a show similar to that on Amazon the other night... "Extreme Archaeology".

For anybody who needs it, the episode was uploaded here last night.

Mr O'Brien was on the program at some point.
When I first saw this book some years back my first reaction was to dismiss it as ludicrous. That was before I saw the TV show... Now I think Mesoamerican civilizations visiting is far more plausible than the star charts and Templar business.

I've tried out many of the cheaper, more affordable Bounty Hunter models, and have had the best luck with with the Tracker IV. You can get one on Amazon for $80, or Walmart for $89. I've actually had really good luck on Ebay, where I've purchased all mine in the past, with the exception of a few craigslist buys. I've won Tracker IV auctions for between $30-$50, and they all worked great. Some even came with headphones. The highest retail price I've ever seen them priced at is $150, but there's no reason you should ever have to pay that. As a beginner, I personally think this is an awesome metal detector. It's easy to use and is a great way to enter the hobby. It also teaches you how to search for specific things. For example, you might need to turn the sensitivity way down to avoid getting false positives from ground minerals or junk (can tabs). I've been detecting for years now, and still use mine on a regular basis.
And yet according to D'Arcy O'Connor's book and photos they know WHERE the Money Pit is. So I'd say bringing in an Archaeologist is relevant for the back story / history thread. It has no value for a basic dig treasure effort.
Note also there is an alleged "spoils pit" from the prior digs that contains historical finds that they were not interested in as they were looking only for treasure. That spoils pit is adjacent to to Nolans house.
D'Arcy O'Connor's book is excellent and complete and unabridged history, as best as one could be had. The Lagina's narrative is selective and incomplete. What they have chosen to redact is quite relevant. But at some point - they need to bring this to a close and the longer they milk it the more upsetting a failure to deliver will seem.
If this post fascinates you, check out this/these book(s): The Illuminatus Trilogy by Robert Shea and Robert Anton Wilson. Just as much fiction along the same lines of finding connections that don't exist using/bending math, anagrams, and everything else, but delivered in a much more entertaining way.

And those 9 seasons are on top of the many (many) years Bigfoot's been going before them.
I remember the 1980 book, Arthur C Clarke's Mysterious World (link below), and Bigfoot featured in that. Bigfoot must be drawing his (or her) pension by now!

Karst terrain + colonial homesteading from the early 1600s through late 1700s = a lot of poorly-documented European activity leaving a lot of debris worked into the ground and thrown into sinkholes and wells. Or thrown into sinkholes that formed around collapsed wells.
It looks like a Timber Crib Cofferdam. Go to page 13-14 of slide show...

Logs were placed together on shore then floated out to position. Gaps are then filled with sand and gravel. Might have been built by previous searchers or from colonial period.
I'm not a Dam expert but found this:

Saw this link in the live thread, not sure if it works Link for those who do not have access to a television: http://www.stream2watch.cc/streaming-television/united-states/history-channel-live-stream
I run Sonarr, just add the show and choose the quality preference and your done . It downloads each episode within hours, no hunting required, no visits to shady websites or pop-up gauntlets. Calendar page is awesome, shows what it available, what's missing and what is coming up in the next weeks....
This weeks 1080p version was ready to watch after 6 hours, lower res versions appear quicker. It relies on some decent indexers but Jackett provides those...
All the TV we watch downloads to our NAS automatically (Sonarr manages ~13 TB of TV). The commercials are already stripped out so the runtime is usually 42 minutes or so. Compare that to 60 minute shows from 60s and 70s that were about 48-50 minutes of actual TV.
They charge more and give you less. No thanks. Cable-free since ~2003.

The trick with Cremo is that he's trying to prove a bullshit theory and makes a lot of erroneous assumptions. You have to separate the stories of the individual finds from his overall narrative, which is fortunately pretty easy to do.
FYI: For educational reference only: Watch NBC's Peacock outside the US Using Unlocator.
>However, as grand as it is, the service (Peacock) is only available in the US. In other words, only residents in the United States can access the channel.
Rusty Old Iron Identification Expert Carmen Legge is the noted author of the book: Oxen Their care, training, and use that has a 5 ⭐ rating on Amazon!

It was actually published pretty recently in 2017. Shortly before Zena's death. What's the "and beyond" part?

I actually found this book in the dollar section of a used book store. I didn't buy it because it was outdated.
You're fighting a straw man here. My book is not about proving or disproving the Oak Island legend; it's about chronicling the history of the treasure hunt, documenting the events showcased in the TV show, and presenting some of the theories regarding the nature of the Oak Island mystery. Its purpose is to give OI enthusiasts the tools they need to come to their own conclusions, and to provide a reference to fans of the TV show.
I come here to say this. Not necessarily about the cross, but the last episode where mdegd found the lead piece. I immediately thought, that looks like a weight for fishing.

I saw that our fearless moderator of crown's link too late and ended up jumping through some hoops but have it working.
If anyone's interested in going the same route..
You need a VPN, VPN yourself to somewhere in the US. I'm using HideMyAss and vpn'ing to Idaho. I already had HMA installed.
Sign up for a 7 day trial of SlingTV. You need to give them a credit card. I used my Canadian card. For Zip code, you need to take the 3 numbers from your postal code and add two zeros. So if your postal code is A1B 2C3 then your zip is 12300. If that's an invalid zip code, keep incrementing the last digit until you get a valid one. ie. 12301, 12302 etc. Mine worked on the 2nd try.
Download the sling client on your device, I got it from the windows store. Log in.. voila. Watching the COOI marathon now.
Don't forget to cancel your trial after tonight!
I tried a number of things today including various IPTV providers but they all had the Canadian History Channel.
My metal detector which I bought like 6 years ago is the Bounty Hunter Tracker IV. It looks like OPs model is the Bounty Hunter Discovery 3300, rebranded for Costco.
https://www.amazon.com/Bounty-Hunter-Discovery-Metal-Detector/dp/B00123OUMI
You get what you pay for. The Tracker IV can't go all that deep, it has no depth sensor and you have to rely on sound to tell which metal you found. I only paid like $80 for it.
People like you are so strange. Here is what you said: “ No British military, just British militia.”
There is strong evidence that the British military built the flood tunnels on OI. A book was published about it years ago, although I think it’s out of print now. book
There is an entire book on this subject of tar production,
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00Y3BGVDM/ref=dp-kindle-redirect?_encoding=UTF8&btkr=1.
It was an interesting, although not academic, read.
My dad's a fan of the show so we got him this book for xmas and he really enjoys it. It's from the pre-Lugina days but it's an exhaustive summary of all known activity on the island back to the 1700's, and a thorough review of all the theories that actually adds some weight to them. Makes a great supplement to the fractured logic of the show lol
