Sorry all. I'm a reddit posting noob and thought I deleted this as it didn't let me write and text.
So this is my take on a home/personal dashboard. I set out to make a Magic Mirror but ended up going this route. It will eventually framed up and put on display in a central location of the house so the info is easily visible from everywhere.
I looked at MANY different options from Wix to Android/Chromecast apps to Wordpress to Dashing, you name it I probably looked into it. Eventually I decided that a locally hosted webpage would be the best but I would have to learn HTML, CSS and jquery.
At the moment it’s running on my PC (Firefox, full screen with auto-updating add-on) as I find it easier but will be transferred to my Pi3 when it’s finished.
The weather is an iframe fromforecast.io. I’ll more than likely replace it with a jquery widget but for now it looks ok and works.
The clock is a jquery clock.
The calendar is a repurposed date-picker jquery calendar.
The list of shows on the right is an auto-scrolling RSS feed of upcoming TV Shows. The list comes from Next Episode (https://next-episode.net/) and the RSS feed from here is copied into this RSS feed widget (http://feed.mikle.com/).
The ‘Home’ and ‘Work’ on the left are Google Directions API calls for the time to travel from home to work and vice-versa. That way I can see pretty easily if there’s an unusual traffic and can adjust leaving. The ‘Doctors’, is just a placeholder for ‘Next Event’ which will pull the next event from Google calendar and if it has an address, will display the time to leave and travel time etc.
The empty space is planned to be filled with eBay API calls data (I seel on eBay) that will give me up-to-date selling details. Other than that, a news ticker might find room somewhere.
Any ideas of what I could include or make prettier?

I thought I saw that as episode 11? I don't think a summary has been announced for the finale (episode 12). The link below is what I usually use for the episode summaries/names (minor spoilers, it's just the cable description):
Well the past two weeks have been 'new episodes'... basically old episodes that have added content. Usually the crew tweets like crazy when their new episodes air and there has been pretty much nothing from them on the 'new' Monday night shows. However, this shows that the new season 16 episodes will air on Mondays starting next week. So who knows...
yeah...someone posted all the new season 3 episode titles... somewhere here on reddit.... edit here: https://next-episode.net/mr.-robot/season-3
Anyway, iirc... there were 10 episode with a bonus NEW part of that massacre movie.
I went to this site to see what was up, and for me it says "Countdown: 1hr 5min." So I think it was supposed to air ~~at noon local time (12pm in Austin)~~ and it got put up early by mistake. I guess they took it down so it will air at its proper time, or the system automatically kicked in and took it down. They may not even be aware it was available for a short time.
EDIT: I made an error, Austin is only 1 hour behind me, not 2. So the site implies that it's supposed to air at 1pm in Austin, not noon.
easy fix - add to filters:
<code>next-episode.net##script:inject</code>(abort-on-property-write.js, tryCheckA31)
i used this site prior but now there are many better cross platform alternatives
I check the schedule on https://next-episode.net/australian-survivor/season-5
It's unlikely to change from the Monday+Tuesday schedule but it never hurts to check from time to time.
According to tvdb there are 20 episodes, it was updated just over a day ago, but I have noticed a huge delay this year when it comes to finding series information for deadliest catch, you can also refer to the wiki regarding episodes, the problem is that all the information on tvdb, wiki and sites like imdb are based on user input which can be unreliable, another site that seems to stay up to date is next-episodes they have the same listing as tvdb which is I assume could be were the tvdb user get's their information from, but the only way to know for sure would be to have access to discovery channels tv listings and I think this is only possible if you are able to login, but it seems you can only login if you have a tv subscription with a supported service provider.
Sorry I meant June 12, I live in Asia so there's a +1 day disparity.
So far the only dates I see with no episodes listed are for today and June 12th.
I checked https://www.pogdesign.co.uk/cat/ and the one below

Try next-episode.net
It has a web version and (5 stars!) iOS and Android apps.
It's been around for many years and its job is exactly that - to help you maintain the list of TV series/movies you watch and discover new ones you'll like.
Disclaimer: I'm the creator ... Let me know if you need help or have any questions.
Not only you can do that, but it piles up all the unwatched stuff in one place - easy to see (and mark it watched) at a glance.
Also - you have all that in their mobile apps as well!
Haven't downloaded the app, but you can see the episode titles here. No idea where the info is pulled from and I can't find the summary for episode 1.
Blacklist is so fucking good lol.
If you're interested, here's my watch list on the site. You can also get an application on your phone or tablet.
https://next-episode.net/user/flyfixer
For an alternative, check out https://next-episode.net
It's more than 15 years old, tracks and recommends both movies and tv series and has mobile apps.
If you do check it out - I'd love to hear your feedback.
Disclaimer: I'm the founder
thanks for the helpful comment.
So this is what I have, as an example: https://next-episode.net/browse/?genre=0&status=1&channel=0&inwl=0&sortOrder=1&year=2021&filterfollowed=0
If it had a way to sort this list by when the last episode was aired, it would be perfect. As it stands, it can only sort this list by popularity or rating.
Haha, fair enough.
Here's a shot in the dark, but perhaps Fred Penner's Place ?
The show doesn't follow kids, but Fred crawls through a log to get to the "magical" land, and there are a couple of muppet type friends that are close to your description. If it's not it, gl with your search!
I use https://next-episode.net/ but it has limited use since by default it only shows you most popular stuff and if you make an account the discovery of new shows is even more harder (and it only shows you stuff you favored and chose to track) . If anyone has better options I too would like to know.
I really like next-episode.net. I've been using it for years and it's a great way to stay on top of shows. The discovery feature does let you remove a show you're not interested, in, but that's a paid (premium) feature. The free version does a have a lot of great filters for searching for new shows to watch, so you can customize your "discovery" experience to a certain extent without having to pay extra.
I got it from this website: https://next-episode.net/chicago-fire/season-10
Idk how truthful this site is, but it makes sense. It had the finale air date either late last night or early this morning.
try Next Episode at https://next-episode.net
It's been around longer than TV Show Favs and is available for Web, iOS and Android.
Been a user for like 13 years now. Can't recommend it enough.
next-episode.net is really good for checking schedules, I use it all the time and Lost Mines is definitely listed.
Interestingly though, it seems to be an episode behind me this season, although I am getting mine from hemhem sources. Yeargh. Not sure if they are releasing the next episode a week ahead of normal schedule on Discovery+ or something, either way, I'm ahead of most by an episode lol
It has an app, but the website is the main focus and is being actively developed for the last 15 years or so (I've been a user there almost from the beginning).
'Next Episode' site can be helpful, but only for the next episode (obviously). In other words it won't cover multiple weeks or multiple episodes.
"Seal Team" next episode
NCIS: Los Angeles next episode
etc
12 years ago would be season 13 of the show. I've put a link here to a page that has descriptions of the cases that season. Unfortunately, there are a lot to go through, and names aren't included in the write-ups.
Check out Next Episode!
It's a service I created about 15 years ago and it's exactly what you're looking for.
It also has an iOS and Android apps, but the website has more functionality (especially related to recommendations and new show discovery).
Let me know!
https://next-episode.net/bordertown-fi/season-1
This site has little plot summaries. I’ve only watched Season 1 so far. I had to do a little exploring myself to answer questions I had about season 1. I’ll probably start season 2 soon.
yeah, that site you mentioned (but got deleted because of this sub's rules) is sadly (very sadly) not available in Europe :( However, look at this site, it tells us how much time is left before each episode is shown (in Korea)!!! https://next-episode.net/flower-of-evil
https://next-episode.net/the-avengers
That is the promotional poster (not my physical one obviously, but that’s the style I have.) If you bought all 4 1967 vhs boxsets it was a free mail order poster. I have it framed and proudly displayed. I still can believe those vhs sets were $25 or more! Now today we have glorious HD!
Novanon.net is a good source and ddlvalley.me. Another good site is next-episode.net which tracks the latest episodes for programs but no links.
Try Next Episode!
It’s a TV tracking website with an Android and iOS apps.
Full disclaimer - I built and maintain it and have been working on it for 15 years now!
It’s designed to do exactly what you’re asking for :)
Let me know what you think!
Unrelated, but the episode synopses are here for some of the next few episodes and it looks like in one of them David and Patrick are going full-blown fanfic lol
Around thanksgiving/christmas and in the summer, you are going to get some rerun segments, that's just the financial realities of television programming like this.
Here's the listing of season 51... https://next-episode.net/60-minutes/season-51
Dont work for me:
next-episode.net##script:inject(abort-on-property-write.js, tryCheckA31)
next-episode.net##+js(abort-on-property-write.js, tryCheckA31)

Works:
next-episode.net##script:inject(abort-on-property-write.js, tryCheckA32)
Check out next-episode.net
It's an almost 14 year old site dedicated to tracking TV shows.
Has 5 star (iOS and Android) apps as well.
And yeah - I'm the founder ...
Let me know what you think!
Also try Next Episode.
Once you add your shows it'll recommend you new shows based on what you watch, but also new shows based on the creators of the shows you watch!

https://next-episode.net/nova/season-20
16 Nov 16, 1993 Roller Coaster!
NOVA takes viewers on the ride of their lives as it explores the science of roller coasters, where physics and psychology meet. New rides of the future may take place entirely in the mind—with virtual reality.
Episode 11 reads:
>Drummer and Ashford find themselves trapped with few options for survival; Anna tends to the wounded masses as Melba continues to hunt down her prey; the Rocinante crew struggles to survive as Naomi reunites with her true family.
That's clearly implicative of a horrible disaster injuring many, many people occurring the previous episode.
Episode 10 also heavily implies that Holden will be on Ring Station for the episodes duration, which is part of what triggers the slowdown.
What would you consider as live? They filmed all episodes a while ago and HBO Spain accidentally showed an episode a week too soon.
According to https://next-episode.net/game-of-thrones the next episodes starts at ~3:13 on Monday morning.
I couldn't find the exact times for Sky but it says in their forum:
> Los geht’s in der Nacht von Sonntag, 16. Juli, auf Montag, 17. Juli 2017, voraussichtlich zwischen 3 und 4 Uhr deutscher Zeit.
So it starts between 3:00 and 4:00 on Monday morning. Seems "live" enough.
I use things like Next Episode that listings of new shows. I also use the forums on the internet (cough private trackers, ahem)... to see what other people are watching.
I'll fix that now. My mistake and don't worry about it.
Have a wonderful night and I hope you get no hangover. Be safe.
Also thanks for uploading it. Been looking for it all morning lol. Please make sure to label it so people will find it next time haha. I think I may try to watch The Last Airbender. Would you recommend it as a show? I'm currently watching all these.
