comment content: My philosophy is, in a city like Paris or Rome, there is no such thing as too many days. I lived in London for 4 months and I probably saw like 1% of what the city had to offer. If you find you have a few hours of downtime, just grab a book (could even be a travel guidebook to give yourself some inspiration), find a sidewalk cafe and read / people watch. The first few times I went to Europe we did the whole "different city every 2-3 days" thing and it gets tiring really fast. These days I'm happy to spend 5-7 days in a single city and actually have time to see some stuff.
One thing you can do is browse some neighborhood guides (I like AirBnB a lot) - all of these cities have plenty of different areas with their own character for you to explore in a 4-5 day window.

Out of the population of Paris, ten thousand folks is... around 0.45% of the local population. 1/3rd of the local rhinos fits that definition.
Also, as a side note, Merriam-Webster dictionary lists the second definition of Massacre as: "a cruel or wanton murder". I think anyone can qualify being shot in the head 3 times and chopped up for parts with a chainsaw pretty fucking cruel.
So either way, the term massacre is perfectly serviceable. You pedantic fuck.

comment content: My reference for waterproof comes from my years of wearing Timberland boots. Mainly the classic one, and more recently, the Earthkeepers Stormbuck Chelsea. I could walk (and have done so in the past) in 1-2 inches of water with those and my feet will stay dry. And while perhaps I should have, I never applied any kind of waterproofing on them.
While I could maybe (big maybe) get away with wearing the black leather version of the same Timberland pair, it clearly lacks the refinement to be adequately worn with a suit.
I am quite frankly in a bit of disbelief that given the sheer amount of footwear offering, I cannot find a pair that matches what I'm looking for. To be fair though, perhaps my price range is too low. I was/am looking not to cross the 200€ (I'm currently in Paris).
/u/TheSneakyTruth pointed out RM Williams as well, and they actually look quite decent. I cannot find much on their waterproofing though (not to mention if I could find them in Paris).
Given the above, does anything new come to mind?

Kuijken also recorded the Channel symphonies (88-92), but that was with La Petite Bande.
There's another Veritas two-fer of 26,52,53 with two violin concertos and the late sinfonia concertante. I guess that's half OAE and half Petite Bande. The OAE is on the concerto disk.
