> We all dreamed and believed we could hit $1,000,000 in the 35 days of the campaign… but never, ever did we imagine you would get us there in 11 hours.
Not as honorable as OP's, but I found one for $47...
Mass spectrometers work in a very different way from this product. They are using a technique called near infrared spectroscopy. It seems like this stuff has been around for a while, but in a much bigger form factor. Some people who seem more knowledgable than me were talking about it over here.
Mega Bloks. I think they are A Canadian company. I bought the Enterprise a few years back on sale for $150. It’s an excellent kit, and BIG… 26” long.
I did some digging, I was wrong about it being in this collection, it's in The New Voyages, which you can pick up here. All short stories, that one in particular is a little corny on purpose, it's called "Visit to a Weird Planet Revisited."
This fabric has a similar pattern, and you could just tie dye it blue and purple.
Its pretty inexpensive, and you can probably get some cotton from Amazon or your local craft store if you wanted to make a few pillows or a bed set.
Star Trek: 25th runs on DOS, which thanks to being a ~40 year old operating system, is widely emulated and runs pretty well on any old potato.

I sure hope the developers for this game retired in style in 1999, but the GOG.com crew lovingly ports these things DRM-free into the future, so I'm happy to support them too.
This was pretty much what it started out as (though a different brand). The headphone port on my phone is shot which is why I am using the BT adapter.
I was hoping to be able to use the 3 buttons below the display for things like volume and accepting calls, but unfortunatley I was unable to get the dome switches working. It being almost 30 years old and made as cheaply as possible wasn't helping anything. Maybe someday I will make a new PCB with new switches to gain extra functionality.
I was hoping to preserve the original functionality of the toy, but I was unable to get that to work out.

Actual interface. It's not all free to get full functionality and takes some time to get it customized to your liking, but it is very neat.
That's a good one.
I'm in the middle of reading Marc Cushman's These Are the Voyages: Gene Roddenberry and Star Trek in the '70s (1970 - 1975) and there's an episode-by-episode breakdown of the animated series. I like to read about one and watch the episode. I watched "The Jihad" just this week and it's an enjoyable episode. They even managed to sneak in a bit of Kirk's effect on women in it, though made more acceptable for Saturday morning cartoons.

I ripped them from my old Star Trek sound effects CD from GNP Crescendo. There's nearly a hundred on there.
This page, however, seems to have many of them.
There is an excellent book by Wess Roberts and Bill Ross called Make it So: Leadership Lessons from Star Trek: The Next Generation.
It is a little dated (written in 1996) but it uses examples from ST:TNG episodes to highlight relevant management principles and how they can apply to best practices. I highly recommend it for all manner of learning.
It's apparently $10 if you want to buy it off Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Star-Trek-Energy-Drink-Romulan/dp/B00290DOQ6/ref=sr_1_1?s=grocery&ie=UTF8&qid=1422759393&sr=1-1&keywords=romulan+ale&pebp=1422759395009&peasin=B00290DOQ6
