It’s better because: 1) Not Gillette 2) no disposable plastic parts 3) doesn’t clog/easy to wash 4) blades last ages and are much, much cheaper (few quid for 10 double-edged blades) 5) looks way cooler

I don't disagree with your sentiment here and in fact I agree with you completely. There's no way to completely stop rape, just like there's no way to totally stop any crime from happening, because the truth is that there will always be some horrible human beings. But my contention, and I think this would be cakeandcoke's contention, is that the problem lies with terrible human beings, not with men in particular.

I have do not doubt you when you say that you have experienced horrible things at the hands of men, just like I don't doubt any of my male or female friends who tell them they've experienced horrible things at the hands of women. The commonality between all these experiences are terrible human beings who were not raised or taught properly to exhibit empathy, compassion, and to display properly socialized and humane behavior. I think it all stems from the same place, that certain families and certain cultures have very fucked up ideas about what constitutes regular and healthy social interaction.

A perfect example is what's going on in Europe right now. You correctly stated in your post that even women who were hijabs and burkas get raped. I don't think that's a coincidence if you come from a culture where men are taught that women are their property and thus were not socialized properly. Ayaan Hirsi Ali wrote an entire book called Prey about the epidemic of rape happening in Europe of European woman at the hands of Arab and African migrants whose culture is extremely backwards and misogynistic.

But this is not a male problem any more than the female genital mutilation of the same culture, generally performed by the women and Matriarchs of the family on their own daughters, is a female problem. It's a cultural problem pertaining to the proper socialization of human beings.

To those wondering how Feminism created this, a great book was just released on this subject called The Case Against The Sexual Revolution by Louise Perry. Essentially, Feminism's sexual revolution (birth control, abortion, and the glorification of sex work and hookup culture) led to an environment where women began treating sex like men did, casually. This leads to "accidents" where she sleeps with the wrong guy, gets pregnant, and oops now she's a single mother. Prior to that she'd have to be a lot more careful, intelligent, and intentional about her choice of partner, choosing a man not based purely on his physical attraction or charm, but also his ability to provide and to be a good husband.

Basic Logic -Infant Psychology is mostly determined by Biology -There are observable sex differences with infant males favoring things and infant females favoring people -Adult Males dominate "thing"-centric fields (STEM) and Adult Females dominate people-centrix fields (psychology, communication, child care)* -since both adults and infants have similar sex diffences in interests and infants interests are based on biological factors, a similar cause is highly likely for adults

*in general there are exceptions but as a general rule this holds

Most of the women and girls I know show vastly different levels of empathy when it comes to men and women... I was talking to this girl about a guy in our school and I just mentioned that the guy has great abs and the girl's first reaction was, "ohh but he's so short!!". We weren't even talking about the guy's height. Sometime later I showed that girl this meme and she got extremely offended and said how insensitive it is to say that. One other girl I know posted an embarassing video of me online without my consent I told her not to do it... randomly touches me on the butt sometimes just to annoy me. I swear she'd never in a million years be okay with a guy doing that to her yet she has done that to me and feels no remorse. A girl I know from school has a tiktok account and she posted a video of an old guy changing that she secretly recorded because she thought it was funny. I confronted her about it and she told me the guy is old so he probably doesn't care. Would she be okay with someone doing the same to her? Of course not! She's a girl. I knew many female teachers who felt it was okay to physically hit boys but not girls. Look at this headline btw. It's a clearest example of how common it is for women to show different levels of empathy when it comes to men and women. In my experience that's like most women. I've rarely seen women and girls who treat men's suffering and women's suffering equally and with equal empathy.
