I'd for sure have it ahead of Incunabula. But its pretty stiff competition after that. Amber is really consistent. Probably some of the dislike of Amber from hardcore ae fans is that it is highly rated by casual Ae listeners (look at its score on rateyourmusic.com) . Glitch is in my top 3-4 off the record to FYI, as is Foil. Foil was the first Ae track i heard c. 1995 and the first one I loved.
I believe you are talking about Pir. Looks like it was removed from yt, I've only found this on google (although quality is crap) https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2y6pa5_autechre-pir_music Shame if such a nice thing was lost.
It's so I can maybe try to get my own music out there by covering a song I like by a band I like. Also, I thought SBV would be EASY compared to some of the other tracks R&S have done. I haven't even finished the drum part yet! This is what I've done as of now: http://www.filedropper.com/secondbad1plshelppls
Sorry for the delay! Here ya go - enjoy! It's towards the end, mixed with another Touched track. There's some Ae in the mix too.
> I don't often hear of electronic guys being into metal. I'd love to be told otherwise
It's actually way more common than you may think. I think the "escapist" qualities of both genres are attractive to the same kinds of listeners.
Here's the mix, it's quite eclectic, but what have every done that isn't?

Bonus, here's a picture of Bassnectar when he was a teen wearing a Resurrection band T. I'm not really a fan of his music, but it's still cool.
P.s. I saw your username a while ago and have been wanting to ask, is it a reference to this Absu's The Sun of Tiphareth?
Cheers!
Yeah but which move of ten?

Oh wait, is it a CD? It looked bigger than that to me.
yep parhelic and this one are both great, at times my favorites on both albums

i need to update this and expand it but this is my list as of 4 or 5 months ago
I prefer the part after that, at 41:00-49:40
Also, I downloaded a different version of this set from this site. It cuts off the sweet intro, but it's interesting to hear the differences.
my post messed up, but i'll use this as a chance to make people check out the amazing alternate vinyl covers to cichlisuite: https://rateyourmusic.com/release/ep/autechre/cichlisuite_f1/ https://rateyourmusic.com/release/ep/autechre/cichlisuite_f2/
Yeah I don't usually downvote things because I disagree with them either, but there are plenty who do it seems 🤷
Also thanks, I'm pretty happy with that glitchy sound I got. This track was just a small experiment I did when I was learning VCV Rack (which I started using just about yesterday) so I was surprised that it turned out the way it did.
It was streamed on mixlr a few hours ago. I don't know if anyone recorded it, but it's off-air at the moment because there were streaming problems. However it was really just a load of short snippets and many of them were weirdly fam from years ago. Might have had some unreleased stuff in there, but he made a point about it not being teasers of new stuff.
Fucking Reuleaux polygons, man. I made this Desmos graph to visualize them with 3+2n sides, and you can use a slider to see the transformation between a given Reuleaux polygon and a circle -- the shape maintains a constant diameter the entire time. https://www.desmos.com/calculator/10lv5kftur
I'd love to see them properly mastered and packaged, though. I wouldn't expect them to release every single one and I wonder what they'd choose.
Yeah, their live shows seem like they're all Max, but I wonder what they use for their DJ sets/compilations like the two 10 hour mixes they did here: http://mixlr.com/autechre/showreel/
Whatever, I just ordered an Autechre hat and couldn't be happier about it coming this weekend. Schmeckie gets the left ear and Rory gets the right.
I just bought Electronic Music and Sound Design and am making my way through it now. I have a background in math and systems engineering, so I'm hoping I'll have something of a good foundation to explore ideas with. Definitely cool so far.
