I always use google flights. Pretty much get best prices I can find anywhere. Clear your cookies use private/incognito browser to make sure you get lowest prices. I typically find the longer I wait the more ticket costs go up but sometimes they can drop if you wait. I wouldnt wait too long tho since were about 2 months away

Ghettoside - A fun, addicting read that covers the causes of black-on-black violence in Los Angeles. It's an investigate report into a single murder investigation

For non-fiction history, I was a fan of:

Skunkworks - a first had account all about the creation of the completely badass U-2, SR-71, and F-117 airplanes.
The Making of the Atomic Bomb - if you ever wanted to know everything about how the atomic bomb came to be, from its origins in early physics all the way to it being dropped, this is the only book you need to read.
The Autobiography of Malcolm X - just an extremely interesting life and perspective.

For fiction, I'd recommend The Martian and Kafka on the Shore (all of Murakami's books are surreal and weird).

Flew Southwest to Ft. Lauderdale. Southwest lost my checked bag (with all my camping stuff) so I waited at the airport for 7 more hours. They paid me $250 for waiting, I rented a car, went to Target and bought some snacks, and anything I hadn't packed. Drove up to Okeechobee and arrived Friday morning at like 2 AM. The day I was leaving anything I didn't want to keep I just either tossed or gave away to anyone that wanted. Drove back to Ft. Lauderdale, slept at a hotel there for a night and relaxed then flew back home the next day.

Sort of, they're rubber and not the generic foam, these ones exactly actually Amazon Link. To me the reason I use them is that they cut down on any sort of distortion, if the reduction isn't high enough I can hear my ears distort at high frequencies, so to me they've been the most clear.

This would be a cool idea but just keep in mind that any popular sharing sites (Google Drive, Facebook, Dropbox, Youtube) all comply with DCMA. Hence, they shouldn't even be considered for hosting. Furthermore, they have very good algorithms to detect the content so it doesn't matter if this file is explicitly shared.

Find something that's not U.S. based to host this stuff so it can skirt around the silly law that prohibits recording a concert.

If you are technically inclined, this is probably the best way to go about it. However I find that EDM songs don't work as well as songs with traditional instruments.

I was surprised, at first, to think that he would have released Delamure as his own track on Beatfreak Bohemia when in fact it was Scissorkick's which Nectar credited on Immersive Mixtape... but turns out, he did credit Scissorkicks on Beatfreak Bohemia itself. I wore these last year and it sounded great.

I like Decibullz. 25 bucks from Amazon for a really high level of protection (says 31dB). They work kind of like a mouthguard, where you put them in hot water and then press them into your ear and leave them there for a few minutes to harden. Mine are super comfortable, I've tried a lot of brands and find myself fucking around with them constantly, where the Decibullz I can put in and they stay in place perfectly.

Yo, I have those. I have the 19 dB and they have worked well at all the NYEs I've been too. That being said I also bought these and really like them. Plus they are a bit cheaper. I'm not sure which I prefer. I'm going to bring them all to Chicago and test them out. But yeah, I think you will be fine with 19 dB reduction if you choose the earasers.

If you don't want the goggles you can also look up just normal diffraction glasses cause that's what I use, although they don't stay on when you're headbanging but it doesn't really matter. Just know if you get a really nice glass pair they're heavy. The reality of the situation with modern earplugs is that the lower the attenuation, the more the original frequencies well be preserved. I've got custom molded musicians plugs and thats the case with even those. Everyone loves earasers because they hit that sweet spot by providing some attenuation but not so much that it muddies the sound. Really not enough if your looking for legit protection but much better than nothing! These wont sound quite as clear as Earasers but will provide much more protection. Only draw back is that they can be a bit tough to pull out due to the short stem. Acid Dreams is the one that immediately comes to mind for me, mainly because the only reason I ended up knowing about it and picking it up was through a twitter recommendation by Lorin himself.
