They make all type of shapes from any bright light. Really cool actually.
A quick google search led to the conclusion that the surface acrylic layer is not bonded to the concrete or asphalt underneath. So it’s like a gap of air and the ball cant bounce.

Yup. You can see when he puts the fake thumb in the shirt (he jams his thumb in there oddly, when he'd been using his index finger) and then again when he takes it out (the last thing he does is jam his thumb in there).
This is an old trick typically done with a handkerchief in your hand. The cigarette is just a new spin on it, though I'd bet it necessitates something else in the thumb, like a dime or a penny, to avoid burning right through that rubber.

"Includes: • 4 - Color pigment packettes (5.35 g) • 1 - Base Creme 3.3 oz. • 1 - Application tool • 4 - Ecospoons (biodegradable) * 25-30 applications per kit"
so 60$ / 25 applications = $2.40 per application. And, you get 4 colors. Doesnt sound that expensive at all.
I have these and highly recommend them. Depending on what you're grilling you can burn your hands pretty easily manipulating food on the grill even with long tongs. I wear these when grilling and they work great, don't feel the heat at all.
slow? That would take a bit of work. I had to make the gif frame by frame :(. But there are some online tools that you can use to put more of a buffer between the frames. Try this site with the embedded video
For fuck's sake, you can buy this and put it on your wall, click the color-changing strober and do this with ANY object that has multiple colors on it. The one I use daily is cheaper and has the same effect. Far, far, far from black magic.
> Instructions Unclear
Indeed. The effect depends much on the algorithm you use for scaling the zoomed pictures.
Try it with a program like geeqie that allows you to choose from different algorithms (bilinear, etc) when zooming.
For most algorithms you don't get any cool effects.
You may want to check out Amanda Palmer's book "The Art of Asking." She did street performance as a human statue for a few years and has quite a lot of interesting detail about her time.

Elastic bands that wrap around your wrist and are the size of a thin hair. Wrap one end on your right hand and the other end on your left, and you make anything between them float. Used to bring them around with me and freak people out, just make sure you're doing it over a non-bright background.
Since a bunch of people are asking about where to find these, there are all sorts of vendors that sell "water beads" which work on the same principle. They are usually a form of hydrophilic polyacrylamide, that soaks in water to 'grow' to the size of a bead, that is then essentially clear, when viewed through the water.
Here is one place on amazon that sells 20,000 / $13

Yep, I'm a 3M certified installer, and PPF, in the right hands, is simple. Wet application makes it even easier. You are slightly wrong about the surface dust, though. You do need to have a nice clean surface. You clean with lint-free cloths (I prefer Wypall towels,) then apply the film immediately. The liquid will help push out any small dust particles, too.
Also, some people use a few drops of Dawn soap in a sprayer of water to wet apply, and I HIGHLY recommend you use a liquid meant for this such as Rapid Tac. Dawn can still leave a residue behind and cause the film to fail while the Rapid Tac doesn't.
The video is not in slo-mo. I used to build these as a hobby. I think the hobby is bigger in Japan. Look up penny planes and rubber powered flight as these planes are powered by wound rubber strips. There is a book by Lew Gitlow that has plans for building all kinds of these planes. Indoor Flying Models https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002NV4MPI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_Gal5BbA071Z52. There was a place I used to order materials from back then before the internet was a thing. I used to have to mail them a personal check and they would send me my order. Man, how times have changed.
That also depends on how the phone's screen is polarized. The Pixel 2, for example, has circular polarization so you can use it at any angle with sunglasses on.
I've used the Motion live wallpaper (no lockscreen) on my Galaxy S9+ and haven't noticed a difference in battery life. I'm sure there's some impact but it's surprisingly efficient.
It's a pretty trippy illusion, especially when you close one eye. The lights look like they're coming out of the screen at your face.
Don't worry about it. Just remember when talking to people outside North America.
In North America, the term "hibachi" refers to a small cooking stove heated by charcoal (called shichirin in Japanese) or to an iron hot plate (teppan) used in teppanyaki restaurants.
These are called wind spinners for those asking. Here’s a link to a different one

You can these things get novelty sized. Example 1 or Beer Fountain.
Found it on Amazon, according to the reviews it's a variation of an older one called "Bullfighter", as one of the reviews mentions, if you look closely at the "key" it's still a cows head.

Having companies monitor your online browsing activities! That's why I use NordVPN. It's fast, secure, and easy to use.
It IS on Amazon, but the novelty of having a rose shaped bit of foamy hand soap for 2 seconds before washing my hands just isn't worth 30 dollars to me.
Not gonna lie, out of all the RIDICULOUS LYING ADS we see every day (Raid, raycon, NordVPN, Evertale (dont get me started on the awesome game shown in the ads that doesnt exist...) skillshare, Fullsail "University", Fucking Hulu and the Cardi B show, Too Many Cooks show, etc) the Raycon one is the only ad I've considered putting money towards.
I usually have a rule that if a product is advertised on an intrusive way (I consider stopping my video in YT repeatedly for the exact same ad intrusive) that I will never purchase that product in my life - and would always go with the competitor if it was something necessary. Video games I already intend to buy are an exception obviously, but never pre order.
Has anyone here purchased Raycons? Are they actually good for the price?

Not true. We're not talking about the force of gravity between the spore and the big object (planet), we're talking about the gravitational acceleration between each of them and a third body.
Gravitational acceleration:
F = G * ((m1 * m2) / r^(2))
Let's say we have bodies A, B, and our third common body C.
Let's say the distance between C and the other body we're calculating is going to be 100km.
We calculate the attraction forces between (A, C) and (B, C) pairs easily using for example Omnicalculator, and it gives these results:
So the forces are definitely NOT the same. However, the accelerations will be equal:
Acceleration of object A: 5.9722e24 kg / 5.95e28 Newton = ~9965 m/s^(2)
Acceleration of object B: 6e-16 kg / 5.979e-12 Newton = ~9965 m/s^(2)
The accelerations are the same.

tbh I had no idea, I just know the cyrillic alphabet. This says it's kind of like "finished" or "here we go!" I'm guessing it's just a colloquial expression to express completion and excitement.
Yeah admittedly I'm not doing a great job as a scientist if I'm coming here with zero sources. It's probably for the best that we don't have many instances of people coming into contact with lava. A better real-world example than the analogy I provided and perhaps a more thorough explanation of the physics at paly is a "lava mold" or "lava tree" in which lava freezes on contact with trees in a forest and leaves behind a distinct cast of the tree. Granted, the tree burns away but the whole idea of my initial comment is that you can touch lava briefly without losing your hand (depending on the lava). You can read about their formation here:
(Ctrl + A, Ctrl + C, Right Arrow, Ctrl + V) x50
Or better (run it here):
# Python a = "and they don't stop coming " while True: a += a print(a)
It'll fill your screen in milliseconds and maybe freeze a potato computer in a minute.
So he’s definitely using this double sided gimmicked pen. In the video, you can see that the “wooden” pencil tip looks oddly shaped and shiny. Based on this freeze frame, it also looks like theres a slot cut in the card that the trick pencil passes through.

This may be a bit semantic, but you've seen laminar flow before. Probably every day. It's a misconception that laminar flow refers explicitly to this kind of perfect, icelike state of flow. This is a beautiful example, but it doesn't have to look like this to be laminar. If you pour water gently out of pretty much any container you're probably looking at laminar flow, even if it's not perfect. In fact the flow in the background of this gif is mostly laminar.
Laminar is a state characterized by smooth path flow lines with little mixing or eddies. That doesn't mean that those flow lines don't evolve with time. Flow lines that are unchanging in time is what would cause the perfectly still looking flow you see here.
This video is a perfect example of laminar flow, even though it doesn't appear frozen like in this gif:
https://www.shutterstock.com/video/clip-20839855-pouring-water-jug-into-glass
Something to keep in mind is that fluid flow is either laminar, turbulent or a transition between the two. If flow isn't turbulent (irregular, chaotic, lots of eddies, vortexs, usually causing water to become opaque) then it's considered laminar.
I built this in math on Desmos.com in response to another comment but I'm not sure it'll get seen so here. Toggle line 3 to show/hide straight lines.
Here's a 15-second exposure. Not super sharp, but very far from a massive smear. The sand isn't a long exposure, as it's not actually blurry, it's too well defined. It's a sand explosion, like this one. If the sand were a long exposure, it would have streaks. Also, it's definitely definitely not the sand that guy threw. Like, it's not even close.
Sometimes science shitposts make it into legitimate journals.
Sometimes, they even become analytical tools.
It's a variation of a standard, old, well known trick. 100% not magnets
Edit: For anyone else that's curious, it's basically this
Can I be that person? >The Belousov-Zhabotinsky (BZ) reaction is a family of oscillating chemical reactions. During these reactions, transition-metal ions catalyze oxidation of various, usually organic, reductants by bromic acid in acidic water solution. Most BZ reactions are homogeneous. The BZ reaction makes it possible to observe development of complex patterns in time and space by naked eye on a very convenient human time scale of dozens of seconds and space scale of several millimeters. The BZ reaction can generate up to several thousand oscillatory cycles in a closed system, which permits studying chemical waves and patterns without constant replenishment of reactants.

The science behind this is simple. You need a motor and a synchronized strobe set up in such a way that the frequency of light strobe is higher than the vibrations on water. For those who want to buy this off Amazon, here’s the link
https://www.amazon.com/Rainbow-Cloud-Levitating-Hourglass-Fountain/dp/B07R2FNT4L
Here’s a YouTube video that explains it
If this hadn't had the instructions printed on it, then it would be great for winning bets: show it to someone and have them count the boys. Then tell them to count again, insisting there's 13 instead of 12. When they get frustrated with you then you do a misdirection, turn the wheel and wager a bet.
Years ago Penn and Tell made a book that was full of "tricks" like this called 'Cruel Tricks for Dear Friends'. On the back there was a simple sentence where you had to count the number of times the letter 'S' appeared. It was something that looked like a trick sentence, but it was quite easy to count the letters. However the sentence was printed on a small sticker that you could easily remove, and then all of a sudden the sentence was rephrased with 6 letter 'S' instead of 4, leaving people super confused how they could have counted it so wrong.
(link shows the sentence without the sticker)
The book came with a note informing you that everything printed in red letters in the book should be disregarded as a lie (only meant to confuse friends). That way you could leave the book out on the coffee table (or lend it to friends) and when they tried to pull off tricks on you you'd always come out as the winner.
Do not buy NordVPN. Just tried using the POS yesterday and spent an hour trying to make it play nice with my laptop... It didn't want to pay nice. To be fair it might be fine for the average consumer but for my use-case it was a mistake. Depends where you shop. Like most things, the bottles you find in your local store will be small and overpriced. It's like soy sauce - in my local shop it's £4 for a tiny bottle. In the local chinese supermarket it's the same price for a massive vat of the stuff.
If you're serious about cyanoacrylate you can get it in bulk - I found this random Amazon listing pretty quickly. You also get to choose the formulation, so you can get anything from thin, runny glue to thick, gloopy glue.
