Doesn't sound right though.
Edit: Dead link now, hopefully OP downloaded it. If you want to extract it yourself get gcfscape from nem's tools. The sound is located in "counter-strike.gcf" or "counter-strike source shared.gcf" @ /cstrike/sound/player/bhit_helmet-1.wav
Get CS GO, it works decent on wooden computers as well and it is by far the most active.
check this out: Can i run it? (CS GO)
i don't think there is a demo, but the game is really cheap and if you cant run it you will be able to run it eventually so it isn't a waste of money id say.
also, not so much people playing css, it is comparatively dead, buried and forgotten
you can also tell me waht kind of laptop you have (product name, link to it or anything like that, just don't say "an apple pro" because something like that don't help) and i can check if it should be able to run csgo

i posted in a different thread and forum but i'll add it here as well. SPREAD THE WORD!
https://www.gametracker.com/search/cs/ - You can use this to find servers to play on from all around the world. Try and get the location closer to where you are
ESL http://www.esl.eu/eu/versus - Make an account and click on VERSUS to play. This is more 5V5 competitive CS and is essentially a Pick Up Game where you find 9 other players to play. Ranks are also recorded
Start the computer in Single User mode, as described here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201573
From there, enable the "root" user as shown here: http://osxdaily.com/2015/02/19/enable-disable-root-command-line-mac/
Once you have a user account with elevated permissions, you should be able to execute any application you want and configure the computer how you'd like.
DMT - dual monitor tools. Its a small application with a lot of features but the biggest one being it can lock the cursor to one monitor.

This makes it so how much ever you flick or move the mouse, it will not leave the bounds of the monitor until its toggled off.

I use a keyboard shortcut for DMT, only when I have to use my second monitor mid game to adjust OBS, change song, reply to chat, etc.

Is this a recent thing? If so, look into an overheating problem. Get something like Temperature Monitor to check. You'll want to enable logging because you'll never see the load temp after switching away from the game.
Try this; https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxptP8qQzsqSSFRTdWtLejBiMk0/view?usp=drivesdk
But you can only play in No-Steam servers, no issue since most servers are No-Steam now. Here is a server list; https://www.gametracker.com/search/?search_by=server_variable&search_by2=sv_version
Just get in straight to the online multiplayer with real players. That's about it and no need to mod. About the servers, the less bullshit plugins the server has, the more traditional it gets.
I have a traditional/classic server myself, but I won't mention that here since it doesn't have any players most of the time. If you have some friends, invite them and play there, links are pinned on top of my profile wall.
Here is a list of more servers, but good luck finding real classic one: GameTracker
It comes down to what you "really" want to play. So go through all 3 games and come to a decision yourself. Here are some CS 1.6 servers if you are looking: link
Or you can also play in mine; Grenade Gaming: Classic IP: play.grenade.ga
I can assure you it exists, it's even got a ModDB page before it's author took it down: https://www.moddb.com/mods/counter-strike-16-source1/downloads
I also heard good stuff about the conversion, yet not one of those people i contacted dared to answer (Althrough it's more likely they are just inactive in Youtube, rather than wanting to hide something)
It even went through a beta phase which had rough maps and some missing content, and the last release was 1.1, which had all CS 1.6 content fully recreated and polished up. I don't care if the link is an old beta or something, i just want at least a playable version of the game.
Sorry, I wasn't able to search through my computer's history earlier. Here's the link to the project, you'll get to download the *.msi
installer from sourceforge
I would advise to not download any bhop scripts or programs or whatever because of the inherit sketchiness of downloading cheat-related stuff.
Instead, I would suggest downloading AutoHotKey and using AHK to create your own little bhop script. https://autohotkey.com
Open up Notepad and paste in the following-
F3::Suspend
*Space::
Loop
{
GetKeyState, state, space, P
if State = U ;
break
; Otherwise:
Send, {space}
Sleep, 1 ;
}
return
Ctrl+S, Save as type: 'All Files' and have the filename end with .ahk. Then open up the AHK compiler and compile.
F3, or whatever you change the F3 in the first line to, will toggle the script on and off. In the system tray on the bottom right of your taskbar you will notice the AHK icon switching between green and red when it is on and off. The spacebar does the bhopping, and if you want to change that, change nothing but the 'Space' in the second line. You can find the proper name for each key on the AHK website.
With this method you will not be hitting frame-perfect bhops with each hop like a straight-up hack would, but you can get very close. Additionally, this method is not picked up by SMAC or other anti-cheat software. It might get you kicked, though, if you are holding the spacebar down for +3 hops without letting go if the server is configured to kick players for command spamming. But if you're doing what you describe in the body of your post, you won't have any problems at all with it.
Have fun!
I just recently updated to win7 64b and have had no crashes. I had win7 32b before and had to do so many tricks just to get the game to run because it crashed so much - run it in winxp sp2 or sp3 compatibility mode, change my video.txt settings, try different launch options and a few other things. I would also get a bsod every few days and after installing WhoCrashed I discovered that two different things were causing me to blue screen, a gfx driver and my avast antivirus. So after taking care of those issues I could play but would still consistently crash after a map change. Installing win7 64b seemed to fix everything for me (full install, not upgrade) so I'm not sure why you could be crashing. You might consider downloading WhoCrashed to see what exactly is causing you to crash.
Do you play other games on your pc? Try doing a can you run it and see what it says ( if csgo isn't on the list pick something that also came out recently)
Well, no wonder it does if it works as kind of a system driver really. The sad part is, this doesn't really matter as much because Windows itself is an absolute barbaric for privacy in general:
https://www.whonix.org/wiki/Host_Operating_System_Selection#Windows_Hosts
I wish there was a 128tic CSGO platform that worked on Linux. Unfortunately, for now we are left with only Valve's matchmaking.
https://www.gametracker.com/search/cs/
copy an IP from a server from this list, then in game type in the console connect, press space, paste copied ip, then press enter
Its really only a few servers and it also depends where you are located and servers are pretty full only at certain hours or days(friday-sunday).I play on Miasma in the EU, it has some mods and its great.

Bunch of RU servers that are active under the name AGGRESSIVE MIX #1-5
Warlords is your best bet otherwise, its had active PUGs daily for quite a while now, mainly 6pm - 2am EST
If you enjoy Source PUGs (5v5s) There is still are still active servers that gets PUGs going nearly every evening/night EST timezone on https://war-lords.net/ the skill base is pretty good too. There are 3 servers on there. There is also a pretty active RU group of servers called AGGRESSIVE MIX #1-5 https://www.gametracker.com/server_info/46.174.52.3:27250/
Happy fragging!
I've been posting this.. it kinda makes me feel like a bot thought lol:
ust started a 1.6 server. Looking for recommendations for maps. Max money, 20 slots, good maps, no rules, vac secured, east coast.

Connect 108.61.120.225:27025
I would say mostly romanian servers are in top 10 ( .RO ) in the world, but I like gamesites or csko.cz too because they are mostly classic without any double jumping parachute bullshit.
Just pick a server that has a good ping and less bots( you can spot the bots by the amount of time they were on the server on "view server info" if you don't have the game on steam. Try to search for servers on gametracker (dont't look at the flags, look at the termination of the server's name) if the internet list is bad, the romanian and the czech ones are the best. And if you want to play on steam ON servers you can buy the game it's pretty cheap.
I think chinese servers dont exist xD. If you are american try to search for american ones.
Is this it? https://www.gametracker.com/server_info/s.gs.css.zombiehell1.duskgamers.com:27016/
*that website is under maintenance right now so can't be sure.
It's a family server, so heads up. But www.clancof.net has almost a full server every night after like 11pm. If you can keep it pg13 you're welcome to come play. Custom map server, couple hundred maps.
Holy shit guys haha thanks for all the love <3 Posted this while at work and its one of my first ever reddit posts so thank you!
If you want to catch me live (I'll be going online in about 15 mins!) can see me here: https://dlive.tv/lawrence_lg
Try using some software such as WhoCrashed to determine what the problem is.
Perhaps if that gives you answers take it to a more tech related subreddit or forum.
Good luck.
im not in denial, if anything, were both right (me moreso id imagine though)

>I am a weapons expert and you did gun x all wrong, here's how you do it..!

I did a search for you. These all fit your criteria of being 100 tick.
Enjoy and have fun.
>ou are going cheapest, Samsung Odyssey (Odyssey+ if you wanna spend a bit more), around $300 for the whole set. If you’ve got money to spend, go for the Vive. If you would like the Knuckles controllers, they’re compatible with the Vive base stations. If you’re a stickler for wanting the best display and newest stuff, you could spend the whole $1000 for the Index.

Yes! I am going the cheapest! Thanks again for the information. You have a lot of knowledge :) How about
I checked the Amazon Black Friday and, it seems a good deal? However, I am not sure I can play the Pavlov VR?
Hey man, I'm part of the esports community The Art of Warfare. We're building a CS:GO division with both casual and competitive teams and are trying to find solid people to join. If you're interested, check out www.taw.net, or come play with us on our classic competitive server (68.232.177.33:27025). I go by the handle Toast on steam if you want to add me.
Really depends on your budget and particulars.
I could give you a headset to buy at $40 and I could give you a pair of headphones to buy at like $600, need some sort of preferred range.
As far as particulars, I need open backed or close backed, if you need/want a removable cable, cloth or leather earpads, if it needs a microphone and how good of a microphone, whether you want USB or straight 3.5mm plugs, anything you can give me to help me narrow down my selection to fit you best.
My favorite general recommendation is the Sennheiser G4ME ONE. They're open backed, cloth pads, has a removable cable (but with a proprietary connector), plugs in via standard 3.5mm plugs, and has an absolutely fantastic microphone. They're more than comfortable, sound as good as a lot of mid-range hi-fi headphones, and have very simple controls with a volume dial on the right ear cup and a microphone that mutes when you flip it up out of the way. All that said, it's $150-200, so it doesn't come cheap.

You may want to try something like a foot controller:
