Not really sure what you are going for, but a quick google found this .
I don't think you will have any luck with CEC without a processor.
A little of both. I start by building the hardware definitions, the processor and all the equipment in the job. Most of my systems have a logical skeleton or scaffolding that I start with, Subs for Display, Audio, Switching, Control, Page Logic, etc.
Once that i done, I will grab their logo and go to Adobe Color Wheel and form a color scheme. then create the touch panel logo pages and backgrounds in Photoshop. I will start creating the touch panel, probably by copying some things from other projects that have been honed over the years, and some unique content to this particular system.
After that, it's probably a lot of jumping between VTProe and Simpl/Simpl+/Simpl# to get it done and polished. Lots of testing as well.
Could use something like this but it's pointless. Chop the DB9 off the processor side and terminate the wires to PHX connector from the new processor, you'll never need that DB9 again https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B08P77JSYF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_YPKBSB20751FWJ1K5V67
Provided all registered/connected fine and "Discover Devices" on the Alexa side found the CH rooms/devices, then configuring "Groups" and "Routines" from the Alexa app / website may be preferable. Routines have unparalleled flexibility and simplicity of phrasing, and can also be easily created and (re)configured by the end-user if they have the Alexa app installed. https://support.crestron.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5755#VoiceTips
I suspect that's more likely to be Parallels-specific than having to do with DBs/Module versions.
Based on 'Error opening source file' being part of the message, have you ensured the folder in question isn't shared (between PC & Mac sides) and isn't being scanned by any kind of backup/sync/antivirus software?
If it isn't clear what other programs may be coming into play, you may want to see if LockHunter can determine what other process may be accessing the file.
And, based on the file being in ProgFilesX86 you may also want to check UAC settings and set SIMPL & S+CC to always Run As Admin
I always used Win32DiskImager for copying SD cards. Not sure for the touch panels whether the mac address comes from the SD card or some NV / EE on the hardware.
Image the "bad" card first if it will let you.
The way the new macbooks handle thunderbolt->hdmi causes some weirdness with HDCP that allows video and no audio on crestron gear. I've seen it with DM as well as NVX components. Switching over to [this](https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Aluminum-Pixelbook-Compatible-Thunderbolt/dp/B07THJGZ9Z) specific adapter seemed to be the quick fix for us, although most folks here use PCs and older Macs so not sure it's a forever fix. LMK if you get to the bottom of it
You can control SX20s just fine with USB/Serial adapters. The Trendnet TU-S9s that we used to use with the SX20s have been discontinued. These are the ones we currently use with the RoomKit series, but I have not specifically tested them with an old SX20, so I am guessing it should probably work. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DK85POA?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

Thanks for looking into this
We had good results using the Uni branded adapters. USB C to HDMI as well as their other video dongles after we tried a lot of different China vendors.

Raspberry pi uses micro usb. Mini was the standard before micro and is a bit bigger. German shop bit maybe you can still see that. https://www.amazon.de/dp/B00NH13S44/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_navT_g_ZN2HM2F4D5BS6P0KC2C3
JS will allow you to add and remove CSS classes and styles on the fly. Just as an example, head over to https://fonts.google.com/ and click the color picker in the top right corner. It changes the entire look of the page. To see more examples of what changing CSS can do, see http://www.csszengarden.com/
On this site, users are handed a specific HTML file and can only change the CSS. All of the examples are completely different.
Thanks for the reply! The reason I asked is because I haven't been able to convince my coworkers to begin looking into web development and was hoping that the tool was a little more powerful than it appeared (to me) after an hour or so of playing around.
For layout, I've been playing with Figma. I like that users can 'host' a file with some functionality for potential clients to click through before spending time programming the actual interface.
As always, thanks for your time

remember you have no decimals, integer math only.
On the cheaper side of things, you can get any switch with a wired remote, cut the switch end off and hook up the tip and ring (they’re usually TRS/TRRS) to a relay. Also, you could always buy something (like this)[https://www.amazon.ca/USB3-0-Switch-Control-Cable-Remote/dp/B08F52QXF6/ref=sr_1_5?crid=53T2U1JDJ2KL&dchild=1&keywords=usb+3+0+switch&qid=1629061260&s=electronics&sprefix=USB+3.0+sw%2Celectronics%2C151&sr=1-5] and control it with and IR blaster. I’ve done both, but you won’t get the feedback.
You can use a part like this to communicate with the Somfy shades. It will be through quick actions only though.
https://www.amazon.com/Somfy-Universal-Interface-II-Channel/dp/B00OD3CCUQ
I'd personally wait until Somfy or someone creates a driver. There is every indication that one will come one way or another. Home has been around for one year now, and Crestron had continued to add functionality.
I was told to watch the android app / google play store as the panels run that app. There was no answer id to subscribe to.
For processors, that info is all on the crestron product site, under resources.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.crestron.phoenix.app&hl=en_US&gl=US
Awesome. This is super helpful.
So I need to buy an ethernet switch. Would something like this work? Amazon
I'm still a little fuzzy on how to actually wire up a Cresnet/phoenix connector but am googling now. Do I need to actually buy cresnet cable or can I use a regular ethernet cable?
Adobe Air is back on Google's Play Store but unlisted, when you install the Crestron App and you haven't installed Adobe Air yet you get a pop up which redirects you to the Play Store to install it. Or you can use this link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.adobe.air
Far fetched idea but you seemed to be in a huge bind. What about attaching a multi turn resistor with some reduction gears setup to the shaft. You would only need one more wire into the processor analog in port. That would give you the exact position of the roller, and you can stop it wherever you want.
Something like this (this one has 10 turns)
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D81RQDR/ref=sspa_dk_detail_1?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B07D81RQDR&pd_rd_w=fLjVm&pf_rd_p=48d372c1-f7e1-4b8b-9d02-4bd86f5158c5&pd_rd_wg=VZnYU&pf_rd_r=KBBND6CTTTBPM01W324K&pd_rd_r=e665c698-f89c-46d0-a0c3-91053...
And this is a 4:1 gear reducer that will give a 40 turn resolution.

The second skill is only available for US Amazon/Alexa accounts. The Amazon Skill pages show the supported languages for each.
Save yourself the trouble and use an amp meant for what you want. I currently have this setup with 9 zones and 9 chromecast audios(i have 2 amps). Works amazingly.

Thanks for that, totally forgot that option. But it doesn't change anything for me when the file is already downloaded to the phone. It's somehow annoying when you just want to switch off some lights and you have to wait to get to the button. For me when I open the app it takes 3-4 seconds until I see the connecting screen, looks for a half of a sec if there's a new layout and then the loading interface screen with the dots for another 3-4 seconds.
I'm coming from a self made raspberrypi home automation project with a HTTP API where I used an app which was just doing HTTP get requests associated to buttons, that app opened instantly. I have this problem in a system where the video gets taken by the IT dept and shipped to an overflow. Their receivers fall asleep if they lose video and won't wake back up if you send video. They have to go into the overflow room and reboot the receiver. It's so dumb.
So my solution was to use up an input on the DM with one of these:
A thumb drive has a jpg on it and that's my video mute.
Hey Guys, I just got a clone to work! Been stressing about this for a while. First thing to note is that new firmware supposedly reduces writes to the internal memory card, and should extend the life of the mc3 processor significantly, and that early failures are probably because of writing "too frequently" to the sd card which may be caused by the crestron programmer who programmed the system (me).
I can confirm that the program called "win32diskimager-1.0.0-install.exe" works. I got it off of sourceforge, and was able to successfully clone the internal sd card of a pmc3 to an .img file. (when you hook it up to your pc it will tell you you need to format the card. DON'T DO IT. CLICK NO. I used the same program to write the image to this sd card:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000VOU91U/ref=ya_st_dp_summary?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The new card is slightly smaller than the orig. one, so the program complains but gives you the option to go ahead, and that worked for me. I
was able to boot the pmc3 and load the system info tool on a cloned card. Note that the serial number comes with the image, so ideally you would want to clone the sd card while it was good as a preemptive measure. Note, I'm sure this voids the warranty, and is surely has the potential to screw up your hardware worse than it was to begin with.
I look at this as a save crestron face option since end users don't seem to like paying for randomly failing electronics, and at best have to pay labor for re-loading and re-acquiring all infinet devices.
I use a Victoria Tourist. Used to have a Swissgear Ibex. If you don't fly a lot, the Ibex is great, but a little bulky (and pretty expensive). The VT is really nice, lots of padding, side compartments are a little annoying though.
