As a paramedic and firefighter. I fucking agree. I feel your plight brothers and sisters. PS: buy this Cigarette Lighter DC Flashlight for $20 on amazon It's $20, lots of delivery drivers use a maglight, this is a lot more powerful and will light up the front of a house/mailbox. Also look for the curbside numbers.

Nice work!!!
I fortunately purchased a trunk organizer some time ago because I was traveling a lot for work and it was easier to keep everything I need in it.
Then I started dashing and now I use it for that too. One side has the dasher bag as a backup and the other side has an insulated box type of bag that fits perfectly. I usually put drinks in the box with a spare towel I keep in the car to keep them from bouncing around in there.
I’ve also added a smaller cooler for the ice cream and cheesecake orders that can also be used as a backup for drinks.
All in all I would prefer a better design in my system but going with wood seems like it would have some unnecessary weight because I would customize the shit out of it.

No, they got it through exploiting others’ labor. Also, they’re not frugal. They lack empathy. There is a difference. Frugality can be a virtue, selfishness is not. Five studies showed that wealth “is associated with increased entitlement and narcissism.”

I invested in a pizza bag and a better food bag. Between them, I can take almost everything and both restaurants and customers really appreciate them.

There's a lot of people on here that think spending your own money on stuff like this is a waste, but to me it's more professional. The pizza bag is great for everything also. Asian restaurants most of the time have them in boxes and you can just slide them in. If you get a larger bag, you can stand the pizza one on end and keep them warm. Cheap and multi use. Oh, it also carries pizzas. Two or three stacked high.
If you signed up for more then one gig, you should have multiple bags and can just use them too. Walmart has some cheap big thermal bags also.
I got this one, fellas. Hold my beer:
I've tried everything from pillows to high seats to low seats, you name it.

The idea is to firmly support the spine against hard objects.
What works for me is to set up a wooden back rest cut directly from a piece of wood, like a cut from a 2x12 or something, about a foot in length, wrapped in whatever cushion material makes it slightly more comfortable and won't rip your seat fabric. Suspend that from the head rest on the seat with a bungee cable or whatever way you can. You could even just set it up every time you get in the car and not hang it from the seat, that works fine as well.
Also, sit on a big softball. If your ass is huge like mine you'll need one of these: https://www.amazon.com/MacGregor-MCSB16CH-Chicago-16-Softball/dp/B000X34KQY/
Or, if your ass is rather "minute" or "dainty" you can just use a standard regular yellow softball.
It may take a while to get used to it, but the reason the back hurts is that it's not supported properly by the seat and your muscles have to activate to stabilize it. If you use the wood and the softball, those devices provide firm, ongoing support so the little muscles in your back can rest and won't hurt at the end of the day.
TacLight, my friend. Will save you on the rainy nights and help prevent stumbling on toys the kids left on the walkways.
Where is that order from? I've made deliveries with those same labels sealing the drinks but my mind is blank. Also, go to Amazon and buy a plastic drink carrier...so much better than those crappy one's most places give you. Nice order!
Edit: Never mind, I saw below it was a local place. We may dash in the same area. Also, here's a link for a drink carrier I bought.
I got mine from Amazon. Not sure if it's the same one in the pic but here's a link. 2 of them for $21.99. They're good for large awkward takeout bags too.
So this is the brand and model I went with. You will notice the drink carrier is closes to your back which helps with weight. Also I recommend to add some cardboard reinforcements. Lastly, learn to lean your bike on turns while you stay upright.

Here's the play store link. The name and icon in the store is different from what is downloaded on your phone for some reason but I've loved this. Doesn't work well with headphones or bluetooth but otherwise it's great ☺️

I got this one and is great for both hot and cold drinks and I’ve done both at same time just keeping them on opposite sides
Ahh yeah I hold all my order in a catering bag https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Q3SWLRR?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share never a 2 dollar Tony bag 🎒 . Those only last a year before they start shedding. I have a pic of my 1st one on reddit. So the heat from the food is a real catering bag usually the seal comes lose. It's like the food is in a suana
Gotta get a really big one that is like a box where you can put it on the floor and just slide orders right into it. It’s a tax write off and honestly makes life sooooo much easier. The food stays hot.
I got mine on Amazon, it's meant to be a cleaning caddy for pine sol bottles and stuff but it works great as a cup holder, especially for big fast food drinks.
These hacked doordash accounts are people using weak passwords. Did you use a password that was used somewhere else? Doordash might be the least of your concerns, you should check out https://haveibeenpwned.com/ to see if you've been in any breaches that exposed your passwords. I recommend you and your BF use a password manager and give every account a unique and strong password.

Either that or Tony grabbed a photo from https://thispersondoesnotexist.com/ slapped it into the article and wrote some "feel good" words, like mentioning this dude donating his cash to other workers. Like wtf? This dude needs to realize you don't give your cash away.

And away he went, with a flourish and Dash -

I also bought one of these drink carriers

That’s the one I use. Looks like the price has gone up about $5 since I got mine a year ago. But mine has held up very well. both zippers still work and slide nice and smoothly, as opposed to the one on the door Dash bags that broke immediately. I can easily fit 3 of those big bags from McDonald’s in it, 4 or 5 chipotle bags unless they’re the ones with the handles and then it’s more like 3, and 2 of those really big bags from red lobster or outback... and in all these cases there’s a little bit of room to spare for 1 or 2 small bags. I keep it on the passengers seat with the top flap hanging over the floor so it’s easy to open and close and set the food down right next to me as I climb in, and grab it as I climb out. And then on the floor I have one of these from Michael’s:
https://www.michaels.com/6-cup-caddy-by-creatology/M20005886.html
The drink holder never tips, never bounces, and has never spilled a single drink.
A lumbar support for your seat can help a lot. Mine is essentially like this one, with the clip that goes around the back of the seat to keep it in place. Also the mesh let's your back get air so it won't get as sweaty.
I went through several before I finally found one that works for me! It's this one.
I think they make another one that's just like it but with a longer 'neck'. This one keeps my phone close enough that I can glance at it without completely taking my eyes off of the road.
I've thought about something like this.

From the label on the bag "NZ Home". Comparing the sizes of the cup holder and the bag, it's the "Large" version.
Seriously if you do food delivery y’all need this:
Foldable Plastic Drink Carrier, Beverage Delivery Holder, Ideal for Grubhub Doordash Instacart Postmates Uber Eats Drivers, Catering, Restaurant (Red) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08JPYZMGF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_C9YSSSG85RG4VQD23K2X?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Try getting that, I only charge it twice a week and I dash 7 days playing music, gps running and DoorDash open.
One thing I learned when I was a delivery driver like 10 years back - buy a portable spotlight.
Makes it a LOT easier to find the right address
EDIT: Something like this:
It was the New Star Foodservice 50134.
It's insulated quite thick and the straps for carrying double as backpack straps, but I'm not so sure they were designed specifically for that purpose. It fits quite a bit, 6 extra large pizza boxes stacked, or if you've got it vertical I find that it can usually fit two full bags of food side by side as long as the restaurant(s) packed their bags vertically. I rarely fill it completely full unless I have like two big dinner bags, or two big orders from Papa John's or something.
The only problem I have with it, if you can really even call this a problem, is that sometimes it's too big. Like, for one bowl from Chipotle or something, I usually just leave the bag in the flat 'pizza' orientation in the back of my car, shove the food in, and then rather than zipping it up causing it to form a cube (er, rectangular prism I guess), I just fold the lid panel over and kind of squash it down so there isn't as much air inside. The less "wasted" volume of air inside, ie, the tighter it's packed down against the food, the better it seems to keep warm.
It does keep things very warm though. I always use it for my own food if I'm getting a pizza or something, and it always keeps it pretty toasty even after like a 20 or 30 minute drive.

Fair warning, it’s not as hefty as the pic makes it look. I keep a flat of cardboard in the bottom of mine for support, but it’s really not a bad bag. Cup holders are why I bought it.
https://www.amazon.com/Display-Pictures-Infrared-Waterproof-Shockproof/dp/B084T9CP9D?ref_=ast_sto_dp
This is the one I use now. Just a warning though. I got it for about 80.00-90.00 on sale. So you may want to see if you can find it cheaper. It's very good at night. You can use stealth mode during day so there is no blinking light. Plus it has a pin lock.

I keep the Michael's "drink holder" in my dd bag on the passenger front floor. I use it for drinks as necessary.
I have a small lunch type cooler that is a bag but with a hard plastic liner. I cut some cardboard to make dividers in there and I use it for frozen drinks or ice cream as necessary. I don't keep ice or anything like that. It's just a little extra insulation for frozen stuff. It's also on the floor next to the dd bag.
I have a nicer (than dd) slightly larger hot bag that I bought at the swap meet in Honolulu a couple of years ago on vacation. I keep it in a plastic bin (about the same width and depth as the bag but not quite as tall) on the front passenger seat. No worries about leaks and it makes it rigid which I like. I use that for most orders.
I have a large catering bag I keep in the back for bigger orders that won't fit in the smaller bag. I keep a few towels and some other "insulation" back there for packing since even the larger orders still don't completely fill the large bag.
I also have a large pizza bag in the back (pretty huge like 22"x22"x13") in case I get any big pizza boxes.
In the back = hatchback of my Ford Edge. :)
Michael's carrier = already linked in here.

Oh I have a second "dd size" hot bag I got from a grocery store just as another backup. I don't use it much anymore.
That's my stuff.
I saw DoorDash merchandise on their site yesterday but it wildly expensive. I've decided to buy this pizza hotbag for $20 from Amazon since I get so many pizza orders and it comes in 2 days. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001CDTLRW/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

>but sometimes ill forget to press done driving or start driving until halfway to the drop off destination in the end not tracking it properly
Just got to do your best to remember to press done driving.
I personally use an app called Courier Locker, to track mileage. I usually don't forget to mark that I'm done since it gives you an ongoing notification If you're currently on a trip.
There are some sloppy dashers out there that will tell you that you can just leave stride tax running the whole time you're on shift, and all that counts as business mileage. You could probably get away with it but I wouldn't risk it.

I got one of the big catering ones from Amazon. The 23x14x15 kind.. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07JXRR668?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I keep it in the trunk and use it for larger orders. I keep towels to pack in as filler most of the time when an order is too big for my smaller bags but not quite big enough to fill the whole catering bag.
I got my set up from Amazon... This is what I have. I posted about this in another thread earlier where the same situation occured.

I still have my DD bag, but it started looking pretty grungy after only a few months of heavy use. That and the fact I was getting a lot of orders from restaurants with huge oversize takeout bags that would never fit in the DD bag convinced me to buy these on amazon. I'd say the build quality is better than the DD bag and they hold quite a bit more.

Yes, there is a button that you press to activate and turn off when you want.

If you decide to look into getting one not all have GPS and not all put the GPS location on the video along with the time stamp. Also price changes with amount of storage capabilities and not all come with the window mount as this one does but usually you can order separately this one just happens to come together probably another reason it is more expensive.

Is your bootloader unlocked? Are you rooted/Magisk/Xposed? Have you flashed a custom system ROM or recovery? Do you have developer options enabled, including USB debugging?
If the answer to any of these is yes, that's the problem.
I just went through this myself. I already had the Dasher app working on my rooted phone for months. But I tried to set it up on a new (also rooted) phone, and no matter what I tried, it just wouldn't work.

Check if you're passing Safetynet

If not, something is amiss. Any chance these are secondhand devices?
You could try flashing the factory image directly from Google. A reset alone wouldn't remove system modifications.
Edit to add: There is also a new Play Integrity API which supercedes Safetynet. Some of the older detection apps don't use it yet and will still show passing.
This new app will check integrity using the new API. Download this and run the check, and ensure all 3 items show green check marks:

Post the results and we can troubleshoot from there.
I use this bag. Packir makes the best food delivery bags/backpacks. It has built-in cup holders. I have a Quad Lock motorcycle mount with weatherproof wireless charging and vibration dampener. It doesn’t overheat because my angle is changing as I ride which creates momentary shade. I also park in the shade between orders. Sometimes I have to lean forward to cast some shade on my phone to see the GPS properly if I’m using it, but I have no issues whatsoever.
I like nights as well....

ya notes help… lists not so much, because i add too much to the lists & lose them 😂🤦♀️ You’d think phone lists would be the solution but somehow screw that up too, end up with too many… like if theres something i need to finish/look into later id just leave that browser window open to go back to… then every couple months i end up with like 500 safari tabs & just have to force-close all & give up 😵💫 lol… its an endless struggle trying to stay organized.
Im down with the modern thinking that ADHD is mislabeled… i dont have a deficit, its more like way too much attention going in all different directions at once? Hyperfocus can be a pro or con depending on the situation… i guess thats why, like you said, we can work so well in certain high-pressure hyperfocus scenarios, but just turn spaghetti-brain in other situations that would feel “easier” to non adhd people?
That spaghetti-brain Procrastinating is the #1 hurdle. I was self employed for years (illustrator & dog trainer) but… well i need some flexible freedom to work really effectively, but it was just too much unstructured freedom? This gig seems to hit a good middle point… im actually more likely to get illustration work done after completing a dash shift. I guess my other work just has so many variables to overthink before even starting i get locked in that anxiety procrastination, but dashing is so straightforward, there’s nothing to overthink, just finding my keys & shoes (easier some days than others 😂)… Its like after that my brain is shifted into top-gear hyperfocus & i can jump right into other tasks?
Anyways the post-its can fall down too easy, just found some “xtreme stickies” lol gonna give that a try 🤪 https://www.amazon.com/Post-Extreme-Resistant-Engineered-Conditions/dp/B0797BS3RC/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?crid=2M3G4ZNHH7RIH&keywords=post+it+notes+heavy+duty&qid=1658965011&sprefix=postit+noted+heavy%2Caps%2C163&sr=8-4#

Soup is not a problem if the restaurant uses a decent container. Raise your prices by 30 cents on to go soup orders and invest in something like these - https://www.amazon.com/Freshware-Food-Storage-Containers-Lids/dp/B01G7JUPK2
I bet restaurants could even find them cheaper if they order larger quantities from Restaurant Depot or something.
They are 100x better than styrofoam in every way.
this is my main go-to. it'll fit 2 of the super large outback bags... or a catering tray

the uber eats pizza bag is also great. can use it as a pizza bag, or turn it on it's side and use it to carry large, tall bags. can also use it as a backpack for those types of orders, but that one you have to go out of your way to make sure you have it unzipped enough to let steam out. the insulation on it is great, but it will develop a lake on the bottom if you have it all the way zipped.

for the super large orders, i'll use the UE one like a backpack while holding 2 of the ones from amazon that i linked.
Sorry about your experience man. If DD actually sent out a real hotbag or forced drivers to use one like GH you'd probably have hot food.
For other drivers, it's worth the $35. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08Q7T41PN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I've received more than a few tips after the order on DD/Uber by using a legit hotbag. It's definitely worth the $35 to get a real bag. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08Q7T41PN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Gotta treat it like a business - bundled orders are usually not a problem for me because I have a good bag. I also have a ton of good reviews on order handling.
I'm not a dasher but I came across this while I was browsing on Amazon the other day. It's probably a little more expensive, but it has great reviews and it would protect your car seat or floor well.

These are better. I take a bungee, hook it around the handle, loop it under the headrest and hook on the other side. Holds big cups and can be transported to the customer's door. No matter what kind of cupholder they give me, I move the cups to this then back at the customer's door. People have commented on it because I never have to worry about spillage.

zipper hasn't failed me and it's light weight... and the material doesn't disintegrate like the DD catering bag. only issue is to remember not to zip it all the way to allow moisture to escape, but this is something to keep in mind for every bag

I just got this one because its not too big but holds pizzas. Shoulder straps seem to loosen too easily while riding but there is a chest strap which helps if those aren't good enough. It seems to work quite well overall.
This is the drink carrier I purchased and it's made things so much easier. You can find others on Amazon for about the same price
I've never been a customer through DD, but I've seen other people on this sub saying that in order to increase a tip they have to go through customer support or something. Basically, it's not a simple thing, apparently? I'm not saying no one ever would, but I think it's highly unlikely someone would decide to go through that just because of a sticker.
How much do the stickers cost? If it's like $3-$4 for a pack of 50-100 stickers it might be worth checking out.
Quick edit: looked it up and I think I found your item. That's a ripoff in my eyes. $18 for 50 stickers? At least if your only goal is tips. I can see it impacting rating more than tips. Though I've already got like fifty 5 star reviews, two 4 stars, and a 2 star. It's basically the default that if someone is even going to rate you, it'll be a 5 star rating unless you somehow did something to make them give you a bad review (I have no idea about my 2 star, most are contactless and every in person exchange has been pleasant as far as I can recall, and no one has ever contacted me afterwards with an issue/complaint, so I'm just chalking it up to someone fat fingering a 2 instead of a 5 lol).
So I have a pair of these I keep in my car. They are kind of clunky but if I think there is a risk of slipping I will put them on. They are fantastic. There are also so many versions and you can possibly find one that works for you. Hope you have a speedy recovery and make them pay for the heckles! Lol.
I always love it when people reply to a single comment without reading anything else I've said. There are things like this that can prevent food from flying off the seat, like this. My sister has one that the belt runs through.
Depends on the level of commitment you're going to have but I got these and labeled them so I don't mix up orders.
I also got a handheld spot light to be able to see address in the dark.

I don't know about the others, but the Boblov body cam is the one I use, and I've always found it highly reliable. I also recommend getting the magnetic mount for a more secure mount than the clip that comes with the cam.
