Yes there's a program called GSDesktop Helper whitch enables you to control the music via physical media keys on your keyboard, and it only works with Grooveshark Desktop. I find it very useful.

You can remove permissions for all but 'basic info', 'send me e-mail', and 'access my profile info'. Unfortunately, Facebook doesn't have a mechanism AFAIK to link/ask for permissions from a get the minimum amount and opt into more. For most everything they do they are in the mindset of 'select all the things' and then in this settings page to opt-out of some things.
I'm a fan of DownForEveryoneOrJustMe?
No outages that I'm aware of. By any chance, have you used any third party tools to access Grooveshark?
Thanks!
I already found one, it is called SurfEasy. It does not have a chinese VPN, but I connected with a VPN from Singapore and it worked!
EDIT: I think I found the best of all: Hola VPN. It is free, it is fast and it has chinese VPN. It worked perfectly!
EDIT 2: It was too good to be true... It stopped working. :(
of course the greedy corporations are censoring it.
Haven't you noticed...demonoid, bitgamer, underground-gamer, piratebay, gigapedia, library.nu, templateP2P etc. all shutdown.
Didn't you notice how impossible was it to get a decent torrent of the game Dragon Age inquisition even though it was cracked?
Didn't you notice how some movies were impossible to find on internet even after a year of DVD realease ? E.G. https://www.quora.com/Why-is-the-movie-The-Hunger-Games-Mockingjay-%E2%80%93-Part-1-2014-movie-still-not-available-on-torrent-sites
Ever since the left came into power (ty obama) everything that affects any giant corporation's profit margin, albeit legal in the sense of common, were denounced as evil and stopped.

You can access it via tor. Once you install tor you'll have to congfigure tor to always use an IP from Russia. You can do this by opening your torrc file with any text editor and adding this line to your torrc file.
ExitNodes {RU}
You can find the torrc file in Brower/Data/Tor on windows or Browser/TorBrowser/Data/Tor on linux
In the meantime, I made a simple Chrome extension which will delete songs with the same name from your current queue. It's especially useful when you play all on an artist.
Try fildo.net I was working on it for a lot of years (check fildo.es whois :) ) but I take it seriously only hast 15 months...
Try it and just tell me what do you need :) I'm improving it every week :)
You could search stream listen download, search for an artist or album and share with friends. You could import your spotify playlist too.
Enjoy it :)
BTW is legal, is just a search engine to third party sites... like VK or NetEase.
So there was a huge Last.FM outage over the last week, resulting in impairment of some of ThePara.de's functionality.
Happy to say 90% of it has been restored, and its also a bit faster :)
Do check it out!
But the non-premium Spotify doesn't let you choose what song to play (the playlist is shuffled) and the sound quality is said to be worse. See at https://www.spotify.com/us/, scroll to the bottom.
How do you get around those issues using the free plan?
Ok here's the info you need to know.
First grab the library.db file from /var/mobile/Library/Grooveshark
Then open it in an sqlclient (I am using DB browser )
Then open the execute SQL tab, paste this in and press the play button.
select songs.title, artists.name from artists, songs, my_music where songs.songId = my_music.songId and artists.artistId = my_music.artistId;
Huge thanks to Xaositek and hatheaded for their help in providing this essential query to get our song names!!
I am assuming you have figured this out already but if not I can offer some advice (geared towards Android):
If you're transferring these songs to your phone then just download the Fildo app on your phone and then download the songs directly to your phone. The album art should already be included in the file. If is not then download Album Art Grabber and then download the art from there.
For future reference this app is perfect for finding and fixing the album art in your music collection and I could not recommend it enough.
