Same here. Flickers and has broken textures all over the place either on or off, NVCP settings on default still have issue for me
EDIT: Found a fix! Apparently if you added a Horizon Zero Dawn profile in NVCP in the first place it causes the issue, even when turning forced AF off.
Download Nvidia Profile Inspector and delete the profile for Horizon Zero Dawn. I got it from here: https://github.com/Orbmu2k/nvidiaProfileInspector/releases
You can verify profile was removed by going to NVCP and not seeing it in the list. Fixed it for me, no more flickering and all textures look correct so far.

had the same issue. Disable forced AF in the driver and if that doesnt help, you need to delete the NVCP profile of HZD (for example using https://github.com/Orbmu2k/nvidiaProfileInspector/releases/tag/2.3.0.12). Fixed it for me
Apparently they did have a service like that. And the software does exist. It’s LEGO Digital Designer. And you can order individual parts from a catalogue in order to build it. But the service to order the parts you used on the LDD software shut down in 2012.
There's an adapter that makes an xbox controller work with a ps. I've been using it with my elite 2 controller and haven't had any issues.

so r/calligraphy is really helpful. YouTube ideas of “brush pen calligraphy” is also really helpful. I recommend buying yourself a nice brush pen or two off Amazon or from Michael’s. The company Tombow makes the most popular ones. You can PM me at any time if you have any questions about what brush pens to buy, but I recommend starting off by buying brush pens, googling “brush pen calligraphy guide” and just getting started practicing! It’s REALLY easy once you train your hand. All it is is a matter of muscle memory teaching your hand when to press the brush pen down for thick lines and how to lighten your grip on the pen as you make upward strokes. The more you look at examples and practice practice practice the easier it’ll get because your muscle memory will retain how to write letters with different levels of pressure. Only $5 so very affordable for 2 of them. They’re both the same pen but one of them has a more stiff brush tip and one has a more soft brush tip, so you can play around with both and see what works best for you.
Ask r/calligraphy for tips and post your work there to get some constructive criticism to keep improving! If you go to my post history you can see that I once had some pretty shaky calligraphy. But that was back in March. In only a few months, I’ve improved a lot. It’s a pretty easy hobby to pick up and comes in handy to make any letter, or notes, or sign, come out gorgeous :)

After seeing that Death Stranding ran quite well on Proton (a compatibility layer to run Windows-only games on Linux), gotta admit I had high hopes for Horizon Zero Dawn to also run on day one. Alas, that did not happen. But hey, at least this works!

Maybe, but we would not have a great game. Remember sometimes when playing a game or reading fiction you have to suspend disbelief. An example of this reading sci-fi and they travel around the galaxy, you must just accept FTL travel and suspend disbelief of them breaking the speed of light.
In reality, if such a situation came up not only would they try what Zero Dawn was doing, they would also do what you suggested, and while research a computer virus to take out the robots. And better weapons to take them out. In such a situation there would not be only 1 plan, and not just 1 government work on it. Plus also even with great encryption never underestimate motivated hackers, and there is also boinc (see https://boinc.berkeley.edu/ ) for distributed computer power (imagine everyone donating time on their home computer to solve the description, I personally have 9 computers) But again, this is a work of fiction and some times you just need to suspend disbelief and enjoy the ride.

People always say this but they're only vaguely arachnid-esque. They don't have pincers, they don't sting (or use any kind of acidic/poisonous attack), they aren't low to the ground and their specialty is converting other machines into mindlessly hostile enemies which isn't really the kind of thing scorpions go around doing.

I have no idea in terms of hours, but I worked on her somewhat consistently for about a month. Definitely some trial and error, and the most time consuming part by far was the skirt. I used this Barbie!

Wow really? Cool! Welcome to your mini painting journey! A simple set of cheap synthetic brushes will do, here is a nice set I have found on Amazon. Cheap brushes like that will be good for learning. As far as painting handles go, loads of companies offer painting handles but if you want to save yourself some money, just stick a blob of blu tac on a bottle cork and attach your mini like that 😁 however if you'd like that one specifically, here is a link. If this is your first go at mini painting, make sure to get a spray can of primer paint. Acrylics don't usually adhere to plastic all that well, so the spray paint acts as a base layer that sticks nicely. Best of luck!

As you probably already suspect, I'm on Linux running through the Proton compatibility layer. After doing some investigating on the steam forums with other people we narrowed this issue down to being an issue with proton after the update. I was able to find the appropriate configuration settings to enable DLSS and I can confirm that works!
Unfortunately the foliage issues persist, but I'm pretty certain that's an issue in the compatibility layer, so that's an issue to follow up on the Proton side as opposed to with you I reckon. I know of these two threads on Github regarding the issues, if you'd like more information about how they present.
Apologies for not updating my comment here with this information. I think my best bet at this point is to wait for Proton updates, unless you have any specific advice I'm unaware of.

Yes, you can. It's very easy. Just download wemod. Search for the game and there is a cheat to allow you to set the time of day every time you press F11. I love it. There's a bunch of other cheats as well if you want to use them.

Alternatively, you can also download a Fling trainer from their website. Sometimes these are better as they may have even more cheats but you have to download each individual trainer for each game. Wemod is a all in one package meaning you can just search for the game and just use the cheat. No other downloading is necessary.
I personally just use the skip time cheat on this game because like you, I'm not a fan of the night time. Since this is a single player game, don't worry about banning if you want to use any other cheat. Had this been call of duty multiplayer then it would be different story. You wouldn't want to use any cheat for MP games as that will get you banned and also you don't want to be a complete jerk.
by the way, which DS4Windows are you using? Ryochan's or Jay2kings? Jay2kings doesn't update DS4Windows anymore, so Ryochan's miles ahead in features/fixes for stuff like this.

It's called problem-solving, not Fanboyism. You have a problem; using a DS4 is the solution.
Apart from that, the DS4 is a good controller and your Xbox controller is not going to last forever. I for one use the DS4 on PC whenever I can, by way of Bluetooth and the brilliant DS4Windows tool. It's a joy.

Worked for me! I never even made a profile for HZD but I guess they came with the new driver I downloaded. Deleting the profile worked so far, no more flickering textures.
Yup, but it is more difficult to setup since it was written for MUCH older versions of Mac OS in mind. Check the download page (https://gsmartcontrol.sourceforge.io/home/index.php/Downloads) under Mac OS. The "Homebrew" option looks to be the most straightforward, but read around to make sure you set it up correctly.
Alternatively, you can access the same tools via Partition Magic in Ultimate Boot CD (http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/). If you create a bootable CD or USB flash drive you can startup Partition Magic (LiveCD Linux OS) and check the health of and test the hard drive with the Linux version of GSmartControl.
You also have to use exclusive full screen instead of borderless or windowed, your video card must be able to use its x16 PCI Express mode. You can confirm the mode with GPU-Z.
I feel your pain bud. This game really kicks your rig confidence in the nads. I have gtx 1050ti with i74760 at 16g and I barely make it over 40 fps if the games not crashing. Many other games I can get away with medium settings around 50fps with shadows and water on low.

Essentially you log into another computer with better hardware. You can log into your steam and download the games to their HD and play your saves.
I am worried about input lag since VPN through work aways sucks. I hear it different technology though. But hell yeah I'm going to try this at 12 bucks a month before I go and try and upgrade my whole pc first.

Sure thing. I'm not a gamer by any stretch of the imagination but the story and visuals of HZD intrigued me so much that I purchased a PS4 Pro only to be able to play HZD. And for the longest time, it was the only game installed on it lol. Naturally it was my first Platinum as well. To this day I rate HZD as my favourite videogame (not my most played, mind you).
So yeah, it did not disappoint. Even if I had never played any other game on the Playstation, I would consider it a good investment. I completed the game more times than I can count, so please don't ask lol.
P.S. I also bought the guide book, which I would recommend to anyone. It's a thing to behold! Don't drop it on your foot though, you'll regret it ;)

I bought a shirt from Amazon and so far the quality has been really great! It doesn't look cheap and the graphic has been so far so good after washes.

To be fair, the performance loss is not noticeable at 30fps. Uncapped my framerate fluctuates between 60 and 35. Since my monitor's VRR amplitude is 60-40, I can't use GSYNC properly in Horizon, and am thus forced to cap the game at 30fps to enjoy a smoother experience. Those screenshots don't even do the game justice due to jpeg compression.
For Fullscreen to work correctly you have to pick borderless/windowed and apply, and then select Fullscreen and apply. Every time you open the game this has to be done.
Nvidia's Control Panel:
- Anisotropic Filtering forced at 16x.
- Texture Filtering - Anisotropic texture Optimisation: Off (Automatically set by nvidia upon forcing Anisotropic Filtering)
- Texture Filtering - Negative LOD Bias: Clamp (same as above, it's automatic)
- Vsync: Forced On (I prefer Nvidia's Double Buffered Vsync over applications' Vsync).
RTSS Framerate Cap: 30 (flat line, perfect frametimes)
Does it say "Volume 1" on the page? If yes then you're most likely going to wait till all four issues are released. If it's #1, like here, this one is available, though I'm not sure if it can be delivered to Australia.

Yeah the Complete Edition will have a physical release. As far as I know it comes with everything on the digital version, so I don't think it will include a physical artbook or anything.
You can buy the physical artbook seperately if you want it:
Artbooks are good for you to see early concepts, ideas and overall arts from the game. Sometimes it can come with stories or details, but that's not a rule. It is a must-have for artists or who appreciates art. What you are looking for is the Official Strategy Guide, there you'll find lots of information (especially the Collector's Edition version, sold on Amazon for 28$) about the game and it's universe.
