Inspired by rumors of a new "ultimate LEGO Star Wars game," I've been working on a pack to bring the character designs of Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga a bit closer to what LEGO is currently producing. Best way to play it now is through Flashpoint since flash is unsupported. Unfortunately beating the story opens up a dead link and there isn't a way to save progress.
It's always bugged me that you can only display one side of a set when there's usually interesting details on the back or other side. So, I found a pretty cheap motorized display turntable on Amazon. Completely silent (to my ears) and really adds a cool element to my UCS display. I'll add LED's to it someday...

these are the ones I used The size is perfect, but they are much stronger than needed. They hold 35lb each, and I used all four. The important part IMO is to get the mounting board screwed into a wall stud, instead of using drywall anchors.
Thanks for the advice. I understand entirely about missing a single piece. Going back on this slight build for my missing piece only added an extra 10 minutes. I can see how a larger build would be terrifying to have to go back on.

If you only care about KR, [75138] which currently seems to be the cheapest route at the moment. It also comes with Finn, Maz Kanata, and 2x FO Stormtroopers. However, for most bang for your buck I personally would go with [75104] which is available on Amazon US at 33% off, or Bricklink for 46% off the RRP. Additional minifigs include; Gen. Hux, FO Stormtrooper Officer, FO Officer Female, 2x FO Order Crew Members (Reddish Brown Head/Light Flesh Head).
I think over time the Command Shuttle set will be more of a collectible item than the Takodana set.

I hate how some sets like this are expensive because of one sminifig The reverse flash makes it 100$. This could’ve been a 20$ set.

Yeah, you'll be waiting for quite a while if your goal is to make a profit. Usually it's difficult to make a profit even if you got a set at 50% off.
First you have to wait until this set is retired because people can still get it easily at retail stores right now and often at a discount. Given that this set was released on 1/20/2020 and most sets last about two years, it will be at least 1/20/2022 before it is retired.
If you sell this set at an online marketplace, fees can be anywhere from 3% to 20% depending on where you sell. Then there is shipping which for this set will probably cost at least around $5, not including the box and your trip to the post office. If you sell on a local marketplace, you still have to drive to meet a stranger somewhere, which is not recommended right now, where have someone come to your house and pick it up and risk some criminal knowing where you live.
So yeah, in this case, open the set if you like it and enjoy it or just return it. The likelihood of you making a profit from it is pretty low.
Oh yeah, one last thing. While this set was selling out upon initial release, this hasn't been the case since stores have restocked. This is because those who really want this set already has it and chances are many were hoarding it assuming they will make a profit later, kind of like how we can't find hand sanitizer, toilet paper and other daily necessities right now. So even after this set retires, I'm guessing there will be a huge supply and probably not much demand.

They're 1/16th of an inch thick, which seems plenty robust enough for this application. The cost increases radically as thickness increases.

I drilled holes in the wall and put plastic anchors in them. Then I drilled holes through the sticky mounts and scared them into the anchors. Then just zip tied the bottom plate of the pod racer around the stick mount

Not sure if it copied on the caption. To clarify the setup, I bolted the 4 metal bars in the kit to custom holes in the base plate. I arranged them so they matched the bottom of the Lego stand. Then I pinned it and secured so the destroyer cannot move in any direction anymore than 1/4” and it’s only that much because I didn’t quite measure correctly. It’s impossible for it to fall off unless there’s a fat earthquake or a tree falls through the roof.
No, its my fault entirely. Moved it off the floor to vacuum, and I usually put it on top of the washing machine when I vacuum. There was no space on the washing machine so I rested the set on this drying rack contraption (this thing) to clear off some space on the washer, and the rack gave out and the set fell. Was very pissed at myself because the whole thing was very preventable
I used L brackets and glued plates onto them. The other ships are held by screws!

So I took the hilt and duct taped it to a tripod, where I could pivot around and cast lighting anywhere the characters and their lightsabers were on the set piece. Thanks for asking!

And then a usb battery bank. Those are about $20 or less. You can use the battery to charge other stuff, and then just plug in the usb lights to it when you want to light your shelf. It's just an idea. But only if you can afford it, since it's not really lego and it's just for display purposes. At least you can use the battery to charge your phone or something.

I know it's late, but for my bigger sets, I like to use an air duster like this one. It's a little expensive, but worth the money imo because of how it can get into tight and annoying spaces.
I highly recommend them, especially for bookshelves. Just because they come with connectors. So you can easily weave them through shelves. I bought 3 and it was enough for these 3 bookshelves.

also check out these pens they're designed for doing panel lines and detail work on /r/gunpla kits, so they write on ABS like the stuff lego uses well and do good coloring.

Yes he is, but this video mentions nothing about prints on bricks. He also did not mention that the tub filled with LEGO should be moved around to get even coverage with UV light. he said that the peroxide should be moved to remove bubbles but it is not the same as moving pieces around so that every piece could be exposed to UV.

I know it's not official Lego but it's genuinely really sturdy. I would have gotten the wicked brick acrylic stand but that was £50 and took around a month to arrive.
