Sure, it's quite simple actually. I made an IFTTT applet that checks if a new post is added on this subreddit then look it up on Spotify and add it to the playlist.

Such bizarre luck today!
I was just listening to Geekcroft's November liquid dnb mix and came across another track that samples the Machinarium soundtrack. This time it's "Afterthought feat. Frank Carter III" by Ivy Lab, and it's sampling "The Bottom", which is the first track on the Machinarium soundtrack.
I've never heard Machinarium referenced out in the wild, and here it is mashed with my favourite music twice in one day. What a great start to the year!
This song is one of my favorite liquid dnb tracks of all time. I'm not sure if it was one or multiple remix competitions, but here is one of them.

Always been a fan of your mixes mate, have you switched to mixcloud now instead of using your website?
I just recorded a new liquid dnb mix too that you might be interested in, tried to make it as smooth as possible. Here's the link if you want to hear it: https://www.mixcloud.com/burrelldnb/liquid-sessions-002-spring-2015/
*/u/XQlusiv this might be good soundtrack for your dissertation as well!
I heard it on this mix earlier today. I just had it on in the background and wasn't really paying attention but this song stood out enough for me to prick my ears up. Pretty awesome track.
Thanks mate! It was a pleasure to mix. If you fancy listening to some mixes of a similar sound, the rest are on my mixcloud page: https://www.mixcloud.com/burrelldnb/
There are a couple of others from the Liquid Sessions series (001 is probably my favourite), and hours of my older stuff, which goes a bit heavier in addition to the liquid side.
Enjoy, and let me know what you think!
Humanature - Last Summer Brain - 6MWTD Dephzac - Aeroporto A Sides - Lustrous ATP - Tomfoolery DJ Marky, Bungle - Let Me Tell You Funkware-Full_Pipe Command Strange - Summertime Euphorics - Odyssey Liz E - Need You The Future Sound Of London - Papua New Guinea (High Contrast Remix) Technimatic - Dirty Hands Lomax - On a Rope Chaquito - Callan (Rolfey Remix)
It happens man.
Music is highly dependent (imho) on where you are in your life, both physically and mentally.
Go with your house grooves (I personally love a bit of house from time to time) and just keep on top of /r/liquiddnb and /r/DnB from time to time looking for new things. There are always new releases and the scene is always changing - and maybe it just doesn't fit with you right now.
Also, what's wrong with loving the oldies? :D - and yes, that's shameless self-promotion but we don't mind that around here :D (Don't forget /r/liquiddnb's Iconic mix
Buy it? I mostly go to beatport and juno. Don't forget RetailMeNot, especially for Beatport. Nearly always save a few bucks w/ coupons. Direct from the labels is often good too. Older Hospital stuff for example, some of their compilation albums are only like 8 or 10 dollars for 60 some tracks. Soundcloud is good too for free tracks, you'll have to dig more though. A lot of tracks on youtube will give download links. Especially if it's an artist upload.
And definitely don't play youtube rips, they sound like shit.
This is a nice mix overall and the song selection is great, but if you don't mind I have a few critiques.
IMO Liquid is usually very melodic, so mixing in key is extremely important. In other genres like house you can get away with mixing out of key, but liquid dnb usually has very melodic intro's and outro's. Most of your tracks were mixed out of key and there was a lot of clash of notes.
I'd suggest using a program like MixedInKey to identify keys and learning Harmonic Mixing
Also some of your phrases were a bit off and you tend to mix vocals on top of vocals which can be OK at times but it usually clashes.
Idk how long you've been mixing, but I'd suggest checking out /r/beatmatch if you want to learn more or ask any questions there. And even if you have been mixing for years it's still a great sub for learning all things DJing.
You can also hit me up here as I have been mixing liquid for a few years now and have been doing a lot of DNB gigs lately. I'm no superstar or anything, but I like to think I've built a pretty solid foundation on mixing Drum and Bass and a slew of other genres.
Just my two cents. Keep it up!
:D
Here it is then - it starts on a liquid vibe (though the darker side) and then goes Jungle into some Tech. There are some fuck off huge basslines in there :D
Hope you enjoy man!
dude, <3 you for tuning in
Mix is here but its the show from last night if you was tuned in :)
Awesome! Here you are: zip of 1-25. I believe that link is valid for 7 days or so... probably enough time...
PS: It's pretty cool that you interact with your fans and such. Your tracks are top class!
