Unfortunately, the army dude was the main results I got as well (no, not the guy I'm talking about). I got this book, this is the blurb on the back/on amazon.
Stephen Mace was introduced to the study of sorcery in 1970, when a Tarot reading predicted an imminent disaster in his life. Three days later the State Police raided his apartment, confiscated his stock and trade, bound him with handcuffs, and locked him in their tomb/womb for six weeks. In the years since, he has dedicated himself to the discovery of the fundamental dynamics of the art, the better to empower individuals to defy the oppression of the State Apparatus. To this end, he has written several books, including Taking Power, and Seizing Power.
Modern magick by Donald Michael Craig.
Goes from simple dream journals to goetic evocation.
I'm still at the beginning, but its a pretty great book :)

The understanding here will come in time, tantra takes a while to understand and unlock and this sounds like a blessed dream. I invite you to consider what Kali came to kill inside of you and what aspects of you must die so that you can grow to be more fully you. If you have yet to experience a tantric retreat, such as ISTA or the one world tantra festival, I highly suggest you consider it after such a dream. To see God's aspect called Kali is to understand the power of the dark feminine love from God. Here is the book you may want to consider studying and preparing your mind, body and spirit with for this phase of your development - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1905297378/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
As you understand Kali, you will understand Shakti, Lakshmi, and then Shiva, Brahama and Vishnu. Understanding the trimurti's will connect you very deeply with God and will help with the inner marriage. What Jesus teaches as making the two into one happens in many levels. Within our selves, with our lovers, with God, with the Gods and with the Goddesses. Bless the All you're finding your path.
LBRP, followed by the Rose Cross ritual might help. The first banish the energies of a place and the other hides it in the astral realm. The long way would be to invoke planetary intelligences, frist from the Sun to banish and then Mars to set a barrier in the house. For this, the book Seven Spheres by Rufus Opus is very good.
I'm not Jewish, but have read a bunch on the Qabalah from an occult perspective. I can very much recommend the Chicken Qabalah by Lon Milo DuQuette and its accompanying Son of Chicken Qabalah. A tarot card deck doesn't hurt, too, to help understand the correspondences placed on the Tree of Life :)
The Zohar is on my to-read list, as I have heard it to be a good resource and more from a Jewish perspective, but I haven't read it myself.
Depends on what you want to do with them Re: tulpas just because they're psychological doesn't exclude them from being magickal. Don't have a lot of experience with tulpas, i have plenty of friends and they take a lot of setup.
If you're looking for a less permanent solution, I'd recommend looking into servitors, I've had some decent success with them. This book should be all you need to get started:
Magickal Servitors: Create Your Own Spirits to Attract Pleasure, Power and Prosperity https://www.amazon.com/dp/1523403462/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_TQRgDbZK6TAM7
Frater Xavier from the youtube channel Mind and Magick also has a course on servitors, which is also pretty good.

You make claims that assume very much and hold little weight. You assert that I actually condone child sacrifice and yet I continue to present facts that demonstrate both Crowley and my views on the subject. You assert statements on my actions as if you knew the future, as if you have any knowledge about me or my future actions. For future reference, Stanford offers a an online class here:

You are an emergent property of your mind/body/soul construct. If it makes you feel free then it counts and keep going and keep learning.
Based on your post, your username and that comment you may want to explore some of the Eastern schools. Taoism/buddhism possibly. Despite my limited knowledge of who are, it very much seems to me like Zen buddhism would be a good angle for you.
Regardless, make sure you continue to practice meditation or start to if you have not. Then...
Once you have a solid grasp on meditative techniques Kundalini yoga can help elevate your study and general experience. Once you feel confident maybe pick this book up: kundalini awakening for personal mastery | robert morgen | Amazon
Disclaimer: I cannot stress enough how important it is to have a solid grasp on meditation, and how to keep yourself balanced emotionally and mentally before messing around w/ kundalini. The energy you're working with is IMMENSELY powerful and once you awaken it there's no going back. It has the potential to (and probably will) turn your life upside down very quickly but can be managed effectively with the right discipline and practice.
Speaking from experience, I was very lucky/unlucky with my experience with it. Unlucky part...my awakening was entirely unprovoked, extremely powerful. Lasted for weeks, that felt like lifetimes.
This was a cosmic slap in the face followed by a few karmic kicks in the butt. Prior to that experience, roughly 4 years ago to the day, i was a complete and utter atheist to all things spiritual and religious and magickal.
The lucky part was being guided through the remainder by someone who knew what was happening to me and knew how to help me integrate everything into my life.
This book could help you: https://www.amazon.com/Path-Witch-Rituals-Practices-Discovering/dp/1589239830
You could Google about types listed in the index or where it says from the published on the Amazon page.
If you look up that author on Instagram, I believe she had witches that identify as those kind of types on her page.
Also, you don’t have to pick a “path” as witch. As you keep reading about everything, you’ll get to a point where you realize there are things you don’t like, and where you’re leaning. Just keep reading everything that interests you and you’ll figure it out.
There’s all different types of magick, witchcraft, different types of Wiccan, different types of ceremonial magick..
You may want to look up folk witchcraft as it kind of encompasses green/ kitchen/ hedge.. etc witchcraft.
Best beginner magick I know. Super easy.
Forget these fools who suggest it takes time and effort and energy to get into magick. This takes 3-5 minutes and all it requires is to look at some symbols, say a few words and feel the emotion you want to manifest.

A good forum is Astral Pulse ..I've been there since 2003. You can find a lot of good stuff there.
I think choosing a system that works well for You is key. Start small and just do a ton of reading before you actually jump into something and begin practicing. You can achieve results using any of the systems probably.. just know it takes time.
I would say a good starting point is to just begin Practicing Meditation. Pick up some books on it if needed. I'd suggest Raja Yoga. While you start down this path with Yoga you can research your next step. This will be a good tool to help forge your will power. You need to train your self to focus, and hold a thought. I know it sounds odd, but most people's will power is like a candles flame. If you try and hold an image in your minds eye, it will morph and change all over the place. Meditating will help you control your focus.
I meditate and do a lot with intent and will. I prefer to do Energy work, dimension phasing, astral projection and stuff like that. Although I've used the Ouija board with great success. I've got lots and lots of hours on it, with a lot of interesting stories.
A good book I have, and would recommend is called, the Three Dangerous Magi
It might help you figure out where you want to go, on your own journey. I found it very interesting and it's one of my favorite books. If you want suggestions on a system to start following I could give you those as well.. But I think it's important for you to make that decision your self. Go with what your intuition is telling you.
Good luck friend

It appears it inspired some of the great grimoires out there.
I had the same problem. I was targeted by malicious high level hackers that didn't just hack me but also followed me around in real life. I was fearing for my life for about 2 months and i started to go completely insane due to the fear i was feeling every single day. Then i decided to go all out and did a really strong banishing spell. The problem here is that as E.A Koetting once said: In order to destroy your enemy you must name them. You can't do a banishing spell unless you have their hair or their name. You must do research in real life and then put everything you have into a curse or a banishing spell. I decided to go for a banishing spell instead of a curse since back then i believed in the law of three.
For you i strongly advice to get to know their name. Then order Magickal Attack: Silence, Bind and Crush Your Enemies With The Art of Occult Warfare and crush those bitches and make them sorry for ever messing with you. It would have been amazing if i had that kind of advice when i was dealing with my enemies so i'm giving this to you. I know how insanely scary it could be and how you'll probably be traumatized for a long time ( I definitely was ) My advice is to show them no mercy and do everything in your power to paralyze them and never want to mess with you again.
first two results on Amazon, I have both and think they're good.
Elementals as understood by most are the genuine loci or "spirits of place"This can be large scary land protectors to tricksy gnomes to spirits inhabiting a local river or even tree. A good way of making local elemental allies is via offerings. Incense and some tea or juice offered to the four directions and to the above and below. Don't be surprised if they contact you in a dream. If you really want to get deep and get initiations to the four hermetic elemental spheres, then you'll need a good course like this one https://gumroad.com/l/CcCsM
Well , I think that the moon's cycles are dependant on your location , but it's always good to check , I use this app to do so :

That‘s an interesting question if it‘s a goal or an order. Actually I never thought about it. In the end it‘s about realigning yourself so the universe will fall in place so if it is an order then it‘s an order to myself. I‘ve charged sigils with meditation, mastrubation & even sex with my wife. I feel like mastrubation is adequate for „quickhacks“, whenever I need something greater I put way more work into making a beautiful sigil, charge it with meditation & then burn it with some kind of sacrifice. Weed mostly.
I can really recommend to you this book. It was the most important one for my magickal practice so far

I agree with u/Plutonian_Dive above. I wouldn't necessarily expect to "get" The Book of the Law the first time through. But Liber ABA, on the whole, is more approachable.
But I would add that if you are interested in a second-hand view on the man and his work, Lon Milo Duquette put together a more accessible introduction to him in The Magick of Aleister Crowley.
Also, once you have familiarized yourself with him and his work, I recommend The Confessions of Aleister Crowley: An Autohagiography. It's his own semi-fictional autobiography, but I think it's some of his best writing.
The thing that probably helps the most with reading Crowley is understanding his tone, which is prone to shift from serious and professorial into irony or glibness or other nuanced turns of phrases that don't come across well in text. He certainly had a sense of humor that some people have trouble picking up on. I would leave The Book of Lies alone for a bit. It's really better suited once you're used to his writing style.
Hi there. If you look up the book "The Book of Celestial Images: Angelic and God-Form Images In Ritual Magic" by A. C. Highfield, you will find it in paperback at amazon for under 15 yet no kindle but you may be able to find a pdf of it online somewhere.
This book teaches you how to use the letters in Hebrew names to create useful, color images so we can build up angels on the astral in Yetzirah then release them on Assiah, our physical plane. It is a most wonderful and very useful book. Get it, use it and your magic will soar!
Some people also put cloves of garlic at windows and doors to add extra power to the protection. They need to be changed periodically after they have dried out etc.
Also: Psychic Self-Defense: The Definitive Manual for Protecting Yourself Against Paranormal Attack by Dion Fortune and The Witch's Shield: Protection Magick and Psychic Self-Defense by Christopher Penczak may be useful for more ideas.
This is also true of the Church philosophers. What is the difference between miracles working and magic? It is done through God's will or one's own or some demon's? If you are interested in truly Catholic magic, then read The Flowers of Heavenly Teaching. John of Morigny was messing around with the Ars Notoria when Mother Mary appeared to him and taught him Catholic magic.
I started with Liber Null as it's an excellent framework and primer framework daily magical practice that you can use to build your work around. I'm sure there'll be plenty of other recommendations posted here, but I can't think of another book that I personally found more useful.
It does a bit yes. Can't say I'm familiar with that character - they look like a mushroom. It also looks a little like those Arabic temples with the big domes https://www.amazon.com/Abu-Dhabi-Wealth-Sounds-Rhythms/dp/B07QNNT855 - sorrt, best image I could find.

It's a good place to start, from someone who has worked the system. I did the Aethyrs some years back and it's a pretty wild ride. I think I might go back to it at some point, to explore more of the system.
The Path: Psychomancy ($3.99 for the ebook) by Astora Diam is pretty good for this! It endorses the psychological model of spirituality (all things spiritual are psychology.) Still, even if you believe in a spiritual model of reality, you can easily apply the techniques she lays out with a spiritual belief. She covers a wide range of things from astral projection, ritual procedure, evocation, meditation, energy work, creating godforms, and a bunch of other things like that.

I'd like to recommend a book to you which isn't exactly regarded as "a book on the occult" but contains much occult wisdom. It's called "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill
It's my firm belief that the people who wrote "The Secret" basically copied this book, and left quite a bit out.
I encourage you to read this book, and experiment for yourself :)

Read ‘Inner Vegas’ by Joe Gallenberger. https://www.amazon.com/Inner-Vegas-Creating-Miracles-Abundance/dp/1937907104
Masterclass in manifestation, and a riot to read. His Liquid Luck book and tape is spectacular too, he worked with Monroe and his really good at binaurals.
Check out Angelic Trance Magick by Ben Woodcroft, lots of sigils and an easy way to work with them and Angels and archangels: a magicians guide by Damien Echols. I don't think there were any sigils, but a guide to the angels and some rituals.
Well, it is rude. And they show up super easily anyway, so no need for charges and stuff.
First time I opened the Goetia, Bael came straight in, as a little frog thing. He was nice but I was somewhat terrified of what I had done. Turns out your way works perfectly, just treat them like people, be nice and polite, be careful what you promise.
But still, they may have a tendency to stick and obsess a bit, or maybe I was just a newb and psyched myself. They are somewhat harsh to get entangled with, very fierce. It’s fine if you are all about evocation, but I tend to switch to invocation mode way too easily.
I think that it’s not completely reasonable to advise newbies to jump straight in. They are power tools, and will do exactly as asked. And I really do think that it’s better if you bind them a tiny bit, for everyone peace of mind. Because they are power tools, and using them with a rail gard so you don’t get your finger cut off isn’t such a bad idea.
I like Gordon Winterfield approach, where the demon sigil is somewhat constrained in a circle with angelic emissaries. It focus the energy nicely, and is less leaky, while still being respectful to the demon.
https://www.amazon.com/Demons-Magick-Practical-Rituals-Working-ebook/dp/B07122HYS3/
He gives great advice on working with them too and dispel a lot of myths. Made me reconsider a lot of stuff.
You may never have a problem freeforming it, and besides you’re probably experienced now. I’m sure you also made friends that keep an eye on you. But again, I wouldn’t advise that to a newb who might do something stupid.
So this is going to sound silly, but I liken it to a line from one of the Dresden Files books in a way. (Can't remember which one, but it was a pretty early one I think.) Harry mentions to someone asking, why he has his rod, his necklace, and such, when he (at one point) was still able to perform magic without them. He replied along the lines of using them as foci, and taking some of the mental strain of channeling the raw magical energy off himself and his brain. And that spoke to me, because I have in the past done ritual magick in my head and not in "reality".
I have book at home, called Instant Magick by Christopher Penczak, which also discusses this, and I read it before the Dresden Files thing. From the book's blurb:
>What if you could practice magick anytime, without the use of ceremonial spells, altars, or magickal tools? Items such as candles, special ingredients, and exotic symbols are necessary to perform many types of magick, but these items aren't always feasible, attainable, or even available. The purest form of magick―tapping into your own energetic awareness to create change―is accessible simply through the power of your will.
It's not about doing magic instantly, as the title implies at first glance.
I agree here. The first step is consider common sense, rather than jump to the most magickal answer possible. I am sorry your partner was unfaithful, of course. Best to cut em loose and move on.
Now after the common sense part we move to the next consideration. Without out sounding to snooty (due to my Ceremonial/High Magick preference) I would consider a banishing ritual prior and post to what your doing. If, of course, you're not already doing that. It's always best to spend sometime cleaning your energy, aura, or how ever you would personally define it. Wiccans have grounding rituals and also use, or have variations of the LBRP. I would strongly look into that. I'll post a link.
Also consider Damon Brand's book Magickal Protection: Defend Against Curses, Gossip, Bullies, Thieves, Demonic Forces, Violence, Threats and Psychic Attack (The Gallery of Magick). You can find that here: Magickal Protection link
Your emotions during workings can be very important as well. When you journal note how your emotional state is and over time you can find out what your emotions can tell you about your magickal effectiveness. Even the weather can have an affect on how your ritual is going to work out. Some people do their best magick pissed off during a thunderstorm. Some do well happy on nice snowy day. You have to find those combinations.
Before your next spell maybe try some meditation as well. Control of the breath and mind can go along way to helping us "disconnect" with any harmful emotions that can mess a working up.
Best of luck to you!
Lesser Ritual of the Pentagram - LBRP Link
Everything/anything can be substituted- if something is too expensive try looking up it’s magical properties then look up other herbs/oils/etc that share the same property that you’d be drawing from it and boom you’ve got your substitute as it’s the same energy working towards the same intention. It can be tricky finding a concrete answer on those things so this book may be a helpful investment to save you a ton in the long run! (I also found it used for just over $10 here ) Also, the dollar tree is surprisingly many witches best friend when it comes to buying supplies for the craft☺️

That's the book. You're definitely following the lessons and general teachings from that organization.
It does work... but it's slow and unless you are really into it I think there are better paths to magick.
I read that you were interested in erasing an event from the past:

Maybe it is something that angels can heal?
In John Dee's records of his contact with the Enochian angels they expressly layout the need for Britain to become a seafaring empire and bring about the apocalypse. Jason Louv wrote a whole book about it https://www.amazon.co.uk/John-Dee-Empire-Angels-Enochian/dp/1620555891 and has gone over it on multiple podcasts. It may also be referenced in Enochian Vision Magick by Lon Milo DuQuette but I can't recall.
My first instinct would have been to discourage you, but since you’re already working with Old One Eye, you obviously like hardcore mode.
Older is not necessarily better. Also, you’re already in touch, so there’s no real need for a formal invocation. Yet, if you want to do the honors, and have no idea where to find a belt made out of lion fur, I heavily recommend: https://www.amazon.com/Demons-Magick-Practical-Rituals-Working-ebook/dp/B07122HYS3/
Read the whole thing, it gives lots of practical advice. The demons sigils are also designed constrained by angels, which will considerably safeguard you against problematic side effects.
There's actually a whole denomination of witchcraft devoted to angels, aptly called Angel Magic.

This book is a good introduction and history of the practice.
Most people don't have a cultural-psychic context to believe or often even perceive such things. For an in-depth discussion of this subject, I recommend Resurrecting the Mysterious by Ingo Swann.
Distance doesn't matter at all. Of course you could send them a protection talisman you've made and properly consecrated (6th pentacle of Mars) or you could petition an angelic protector on their behalf(Michael works incredibly well at this) Or do some psionic type magic..Make a protective thoughtform over them (a golden sphere) then aim a protection pattern at them via a radionic box. I've also heard impressive feedback about this https://gumroad.com/l/LcgvV
It's from Yogani, a prolific writer on Yoga. His series is great. The witness is just another term for the experience of awareness in inner silence.

Yep that is me. I wrote a book called The Seal of Secrets of the World Adventures in Astral Magic. and have some YouTubes on the topic (and have given few lectures and interviews on the topic as well. I've learned a bit more about it and likely have some errors --from an academic POV--in the content looking back--but many readers have found it very useful. I will add to the reddit link.
Much of their magic sources you can find for a particular book in the amazon reviews or by googling. Some of the Jewish Kabbalistic Words of Power etc come from hebrew texts that have never been translated. Some have just recently (<10 years) be translated and made available to the public. example
If you are serious about IIH, I'd recommend a modern Adept's commentary on the practices in addition to Bardon's original work.
OED
(Oxford English Dictionary)
The online version is great.
If you want more magical, then Gematria and learning the Hebrew abjad is highly recommended alongside a work like Godwin's Cabalistic Encyclopedia.
The Goetia of Dr Rudd is the current "best" version available. It reads like a critical text on the Ars Goetia and its MSS, so especially for a secular or academic reader, it would be most invaluable.
If you would like a discussion with a mythical, spiritual bent, I would recommend “Deep Ancestors: Practicing the Religion of the Proto-Indo-Europeans,” by Ceisiwr Serith. There’s a lot of interesting linguistics, and a connection to crafting a spiritual practice from those words.

If you want a good encyclopedia-esk book of spells and explaination of Magick to start, I recommend this one: https://www.amazon .com/Solitary-Witch-Ultimate-Shadows-Generation/dp/0738703192/ref=asc_df_0738703192/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=312057361370&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=7805971737410814788&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9011775&hvtargid=pla-521213434757&psc=1
These were my first books.
Would honestly refer the interested reader to Aryeh Kaplan's commentary on the Sefer Yetzirah for a deeper understanding of both the primary extant source on the path-Hebrew glyph mapping and on how this progression of integers comes together (something that Tyson's edition of Agrippa's "Three Books of Occult Philosophy" gets rather profoundly into as a means of "meta" frameworking magic and the "process" as a whole).
In my humble opinion Robert Wang's Qabalistic Tarot is the definitive guide on this subject.
You should look into Psychic Witch: A Metaphysical Guide to Meditation, Magick & Manifestation https://www.amazon.com/dp/0738760846/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_EAEVJJKCK0MD9SX0GCFS
It's a book combining enhancing psychic abilities with magical practices.
Like I said I'm very much new and my friend has been introducing me slowly. I'm not sure about my path yet, but I did buy my first book last week.
Aside from that, work and home keep me very busy from putting more time into this but I'm making the time that I can. I even performed my first banishing after waking up today.
About 160 pages, more or less. You can find one version of the text on archive.org for free; this is the basis of my translation.
My translation skips a number of parts, mostly the parts that are lifted from the Key of Solomon and Grand Grimoire, but it also includes other things ("dirges", or prayers involving the work of the dead, including a novena to Saints Cyprian and Justina) that I found in another version I picked up for cheap in a botanica. Jake Stratton-Kent in his recently published "Testament of Saint Cyprian" traces this book's evolution, including the sources itself, through Western occult history, and Owen Davies' "Grimoires" has a good chunk of information on the text itself, especially in the Americas.

Nope, nope, nope
While Academia.edu delivers itself as a place for academics to share publications, there is no vetting process in place so that readers of these published works can ensure that they are in fact consuming content that was created by people who have the education to provide it.
Unethical Marketing – The site comes across as being a go to reference point for academics. It offers a pay to play model where anyone can have their content boosted so it’s seen by more people.
Deceptive Top-Level Domain – While the site doesn’t try to hide that it is a for-profit website, it also fails to clearly state that it is. Since most.edu domains are associated with official institutions, most people will assume that this is the case with Academia.edu.
Anyone Can Publish – Just like the example I listed above, anyone from a qualified physician, to Jerry down the street can publish the same official looking content on the platform. It’s hard to tell if you are reading content created by a true educated professional.
Could Harm Your Academic Reputation – If you’re wanting to gain exposure as an academic, this site could harm your reputation rather than help it.
It’s usually subtle, but unmistakable. It’s very much trainable. Not everyone is good at it.

Google Classroom for Witches
Hey! I made a Google Classroom with some beginner witch tips. I originally created it to help out some relatives that are new to the path, but decided to share too. It’s free, I’m not promoting anything, it’s just tips I’ve learned along my path. If you’re interested, the code is: zyczdcd The link is: https://classroom.google.com/c/Mzk1NzU1Nzk2NjA5?cjc=zyczdcd
I really enjoy this site...

This book is also very good.
Currenly i am blending elements of Scottish folk magic with druidism.
Go deeper into the darkness and stop obsessing about what might have happened. I also suggest that you read up on sex magic so that you understand it better. Here are some reading suggestions:

Doing the LBRP is actually very very beneficial to you. It helps to cleanse yourself from bad energies, but also protects you. I have been working up to the point of doing it every day. I'm still not as disciplined as I should be, but I noticed a massive difference when I do it regularly. Not only do I feel better, but my intuition is clear, and I am way more open to the right Impressions and ideas for my growth and development.
Brand's Sword Banishing ritual from that book is a smaller, easier version of the of the LBRP but still just as effective. I will do it when I'm laying in bed and I'm too tired to get up and move. It actually helped me visualize what I was doing more, and helped me grow into doing the LBRP more effectively. It's OK to take baby steps. When I first started and I had my Awakening, I needed to know everything. I felt that I had to know ALL, right now. But as I have been progressing, I understand now that it's impossible to understand ideas and Concepts without laying the groundwork. It's like 5 year old demanding to know Quantam Mathematics without having a basic understanding of simple algebra.
Kabbalah Magic is another great resource. I'm not through it all the way, but have started on my journey as a Neophyte and have been seeing tremendous results.
The best place to start is with the Abramelin. I recommend The Book of Abramelin: A New Translation which really contains the latest and most compete scholarship for placing these practices in context.
Get the 72 angels of magick by Damon Brand. There is an angel that helps musicians specifically. Also they can help with inspiration and new ideas for songs. Many Blessings.

this book has wands as air dagger as fire. https://www.amazon.com/Temple-High-Magic-Initiations-Tradition/dp/1594773084 they are a "daugther school" of the servants of light i believe. i may be wrong too.
there are no blinds in the g.d. whoever keeps recycling that is just confusing people for no good reason. the published golden dawn materials are copies of lessons initiates were given for their grades. same with the 2nd order materials. wands are fire and daggers are air in that system and those descended from it.
Please start with historical information about Hekate first. There's a ton of misinformation in pop culture. Note that historically, she was never depicted as a crone, but as a youthful Maiden. Titans were generally depicted in the prime of their power. Also note that her name is pronounced Heh-Kah-Tay in ancient Greek dialects. If you decide to dig deeper into studying or working with her, this short book is probably the best you can start with. If you REALLY want to dig deeper still, then I highly recommend the online classes offered by Jack Grayle (Hail Hekate - at Blackthorn School) and Jason Miller (Sorcery of Hekate). Jack's class is an excellent series of history lessons that will get you into the headspace of an ancient PGM style sorcerer, and Jason's system for working with her will take your magick to another level (if you do the work).

Do yourself a massive favor and get a practitioner's commentary to help modernize yourself to Bardon's old timey style.
And yes, it works as advertised, but it is a very rigorous system and to get to the 'cool' stuff, so to speak, will pretty much lead you through the same gates that something like the elemental and planetary initiations would (ala the Golden Dawn system).
I actually consider it more of an adept's book than a neophyte's book, but it is not written solely for entertainment. It is serious and extremely powerful, but becoming attuned to the psyche to that extent and being able to really attain some degree of mastery in concentration and "letting go" to the extent specified in the work, is not as simple as Rawn and Bardon make it sound ime.
If you practice it then do commit to it and don't skip over things like the "Mirrors" (journaling of the self) as things like that are there both for your protection and to allow you to build the foundation necessary to work toward the higher attainments.
Could the question be directed to the You who chose to Act and the You who chose to follow the Act and the You who chose to express gratitude for the Act (etc., etc., etc.)?
It is as if it is not a rest stop. It is not a toll gate. It is a current. A current of positive intention expressed outwardly into the world using the tools available (intellect, will, resources, etc.).
The very act of asking how to show gratitude to the universe IS a way of showing gratitude to the universe. Follow the intention.
If there is no barrier between the You and Universe & the Universe and You, then it is One.
Showing gratitude to Your Self is showing gratitude to the Universe.
Please note: Not in an egoic (False Self) way but more of a "Oneness" with Reality (True Self).
False Self says, "let's eat cake because it feels good even though it is bad for us."^(1)
True Self says, "let's eat salad because it is good for us and makes us feel good."
One is a pleasure based in Ego with a disregard to Reality because it is "disconnected" from Reality. It is an act of the False Self.
One is a pleasure based in Love (Gratitude, Kindness, etc.) because it is connected to Reality. It is an act of the True Self.
(Richard Rohr has a great audiobook called True Self, False Self that goes further into this.)
Treat Your Self with Gratitude. Treat yourself with Kindness. Treat Your Self with Love.
That is how you show Gratitude to the Universe, by including Your Self into that expression Gratitude.
It will be returned in kind.

At least, that is what I think the question may be pointing towards.
Just a perspective.
Ramsey Dukes wrote a book on how to reenchant your world through the magic of Fairies: https://www.amazon.com/How-See-Fairies-Discover-Psychic-ebook/dp/B00BZG8OGA

I would suggest Crystal Grids by Ethan Lazzerini. I've had pretty good success with it. It's free if you have kindle unlimited, or you can buy it for $15ish dollars.

I am currently looking to buy the book Folk Witchcraft...I have included link to the brazilian amazon but surely you can find it elsewhere. It seems to partly cover the subject you are looking for. It happens that I am looking into the same :-)https://www.amazon.com.br/gp/product/1736762508
No problem, I'm glad to have helped! The more I've practiced this, the more I've come to experience the symbolism of both systems near perfectly.
The Cobra-head stuff in the yoga symbolism happens when the Chockmah-Binah combo is vibrated strongly. It also feels a lot like an Egyptian nemys.
The lightning flash is experienced going from the top-down, while the serpent, a symbol in both traditions, is made clear going from the bottom-up.
And one other bit: Go read Sefer Yetzirah if you haven't already. It will help with figuring out what to do with the paths, or nadis, without getting too hung up on finding the "right" arrangement on the Tree of Life. These aren't necessary to deal with at first, but may become important as time goes on.
There are other things as well, but that's enough to get started. With more research and practice I'm sure you'll find plenty of benefits & make some great discoveries.
Being meta about topics? That's just a thing you do. Maybe building up to it Prometheus Rising which isn't a magick book but a prerequisite for chaos magick. I'm trying to think what is a really good chaos magick book as I was taught it irl. Chaos magick is the closest thing to being meta about magick, beyond just learning how to think that way. It's a mental exercise early on. Chaos magick comes from someone who was being meta about different kinds of magick and decided to create a formula off of it. Being meta about magick at its root can go further. Eg, being able to invent your own form of magick if you wanted to for whatever reason.
I'm in the camp that if you work with something you are likely to have some sort of karmic calling to do so, otherwise you would not have.
There are multiple ways to go about working with the 72 demons of the Goetia, but I'll give you my preferred ceremonial magic approach.
Get a copy of one of the following:
Those are the only two works that I know of that actually faithfully adapt and transliterate the relevant manuscripts and go into some detail on the sources as well as methods.
I prefer the former as it contains the 72 angels of the Shem ha-Mephorash that constrain the 72 demons of the Goetia, which is a system that makes far more sense to me than randomly calling on a demon using just a lamen and some nomina magica, but both are very good and I'd recommend that if one has the means, to purchase and use both.
If you really want to go with the former approach but can't afford the book right now and want information on Buer's corresponding Shem ha-Mephorash angel: Aladiah, then DM me and I can send you the information I have.
How is it ridiculous or how is it about unlocking inner power?
Gotama does a great job explaining nirvana. I would recommend you pick up a commentary on the Pali cannon. Here is one I read that I really liked: https://www.amazon.com/Buddhas-Words-Anthology-Discourses-Teachings-ebook/dp/B003XF1LIO

Or Sukhavati since it's the easiest Pure Land to enter unless your actively practicing the Yidams associated with the Land of the Dakinis.
Yes, but only with life extension. Like Nagarjuna and Aryadeva living for hundreds of years. There are Kriya practices to cure diseases and length your life.
This book has a lot of those practices and an Amitabha practice too - https://www.amazon.com/Meditations-Tantras-Stairway-Ascending-Buddha-field/dp/8186470131/ref=sr_1_32?dchild=1&keywords=Library+of+Tibetan+Works+%26+Archives&qid=1614232032&sr=8-32
Only Anuttarayoga is fast enough for a 100 year lifespan.
I have found one that features the Simurgh!
There are also other mythical creatures that aren't your average ones that we are all used to.
The deck is called Fantastical Creatures
I still would like to find a deck that is exclusively Persian or mostly Persian, but if I can't find any others, this will do!
For some of the really old stuff, stuff that has actually influenced religions around the world for like thousands of years you mean?
This. The Proto-Indo-Europeans have influenced everything in Europe, India, and everywhere between, which in turn has influenced the whole globe significantly. The writer tries to recreate some rituals and stuff in this book, but a lot of the focus is on mythos and philosophy, which is still helpful to get acquainted with.
Try learn some healing ways. E.g. Get Acupuncture for yourself.. try Reiki, and use crystals and music to heal your mind, and spirit. We may be similar. Just be aware that there are dark people on this path to freedom. A quite I remember recently was you can be liked be everyone or have freedom, but not both. There are dark beings in human form who guard the earth and will try stop you from interfering. You should watch Above Majestic and a bunch of other YouTube clips that grab your attention,..and read this Reiki book if you want to learn to heal others and yourself. Humans are easier to interact with than angels. Angels are not a uniform species and some of them can relate well to you and others cannot.

To learn to see go outside with a small digital camera. ( I use a Fujifilm xp) take flash photos ( single flash only) Look for apparitions. the apparitions you see in the images may or may not be spirits, the important thing is they look like spirits.
Your focus is important to the ritual. The ritual is supposed to create a change of room ambience. If you are not getting that change then you are not doing the ritual correctly and and the problem is your mental focus. Going through the motions does not mean that the ritual was effective. You can create the change in the ambience without doing the ritual at all.
I would assume that meant "parchment stationary" not cooking style parchment paper.
You can pick it up on Amazon or in office supply stores and it's pretty nice stuff. I used to print resumes on it, and I think it is often sold as "resume paper"
Also called "parchment finish"
