Check out the book "How To Talk To Anyone" it takes inspiration from "How To Win Friends and Influence People" but updates it for the modern world (How To Win Friends and Influence People was written in 1936). It also has one of the large things I look for in these sort of business books which is actionable advice you can follow rather than arbitrary theorys.
Im sorry about everything you’ve gone through and hope you find the strength to be your best self again!
I’d recommend the podcast Invisibilia by NPR. https://www.npr.org/podcasts/510307/invisibilia
Although it may not be directly motivating to listeners, it’s all about the invisible factors that influence our lives. The stories they share make me feel like I’m not alone and motivate me to understand the unknown factors that influence my life.
All the best!
I usually do one of the 2 things.
1) Use ambience noise. Nosili is one of my favorite since it is free :) 2) Any song will do. The catch is to put that one song on repeat for the whole day. It’s not a golden rule, I just find myself most productive doing this. This is my current song on repeat (no particular reason in term of audio structure, I just like it).
Dale Carnegie, I adore his simplified approaches to all concepts regardless of their nature. Eckhart Tolle, One of the best in relation to mental/spiritual stability and actually enjoying the essence of existence. Napoleon Hill (Author of Think and Grow Rich), this guy sparked up my desire for become financially free, which is my latest endeavor. and several more.
Life's fortune is a fictional concept; to transcend difficulties is a choice. If you can, pick up Viktor Frankl's book 'Man's Search for Meaning'. It's sort of religiously oriented, but it's a great example of triumph over adversity, and that things are only difficult if we allow them to be.
Best of luck
+1 - thanks for the tip. I'm reading the one thing and then realized the hard part is not to practice 10x but to define what is the thing you need to improve 10x. As always it comes down to define the desired outcome, which is always unclear. Your post kept me thinking. Thanks!
A question he asked in the last year of his life, a question directly inspired by a compelling case of precognition, and a question he said, in 1910, "would not be answered by this generation or the next," making it ripe to be answered in our own time, as I have tried to dopersonal website link, mostly using James's own research and insights:
"Is...consciousness already there, waiting to be uncovered, and is it a veridical revelation of reality?"
You're welcome. If you need more advice, do not hesitate. I'm not an expert, but I can at least listen :)
If you want to read some good stuff that could help you keep being motivated, I advice to read the compound effect by Darren Hardy

Basically, what it's telling is that as you're young, time is your best ressource. The more time you spend now dedicating to your goals, the better the result will be in the future (be it financially or anything else).
No I didn't. I downloaded the audio for the video, cut it so the interviewer didn't interrupt in the first sentence (I find that bit annoying).
Downloaded the backing visuals from here: https://pixabay.com/en/videos/list/?q=universe&order=popular
Then downloaded a track which I thought was fitting from here: http://www.mediafire.com/file/uqaklbqbf39cguu/Piano+Solo+%231+RF.mp3#1_RF.mp3 (which I also cut up a little, repeating the verses a couple of times)
Then put it all together because I wanted to listen to a version without the guy repeating "The most ASTOUNDING fact" after Neil deGrasse Tyson speaks. I assume you're probably the person who gave it a thumbs down? If you've found this same video elsewhere I'd love you to post it as a reply, I assume they've not used the same music but potentially the same video in a different order. I'd also appreciate if you could take the thumbs down off if it was you, as I've not ripped anything from anyone. Thanks, and I hope you enjoyed it anyway :)

Just give it a try, you won't regret it.
There you go again, judging and making assumptions. You really, really want me to fit into your perceived idea of a gamer, don't you? I can practically feel you pushing me into your little labeled box. Sorry, I just don't fit in it.
Also, your words are ironic. I advised you to go and read Reality is Broken before having a serious discussion about this, but you ignored it (seriously, a book!), and now you're accusing me of having a hard stance without basis? So you can dish it out but not eat it, is that it? You just made yourself the fool, by your own words, literally.
Unfuck Yourself by Gary John Bishop was a much needed lift for me when I was feeling the same a few months back
And be thankful.
Practice gratitude is very important in our life to know what we already have without complaining about what we don't have.
I created a gratitude journal to do this. it's titled "Smile it's a new day" by Dave Dee and you can find it on Amazon. Inside everyday you can write your gratitudes in the left page and your goals in the right one. Moreover you'll find a motivational quote each page, to start better your day.
This is the link, hope you like it.
Joseph Binning's You Matter, even if you don't think so on Amazon
Something that might help would be an app to help you stay motivated and track your progress, my friend has this app called Loonar, it's their first app and it's still in beta and only for Android right now but it's a really useful goal tracker, you can set up a bunch of goals and see their progress on the main calendar and in statistics you can see how much more you're achieving by percentage, it also has a mood tracker and a notepad thingy built in, you can check it out here, maybe it will help:

I also have a bunch of codes that unlock all features for free if anyone wants them pm me :)

This incident happened like 2 weeks ago on a friday or a saturday night gaming binge.
I finally decided to go to sleep like 1 AM , so I endeavoured to turn my alarm off before I finally dozed off for the night(I usually sleep by 9 pm on college days),but when I pressed the back button on my phone a notification popped with this wonderful message.
I was feeling completely elated at that time(before I even saw the message) because I had won multiple matches with my mates on CSGO ,so I think the message did not really get me at that time.
But, just yesterday when I had a shitty day at college and had a very heated argument with my mom, I could not help but go to my bedroom earlier than usual, put my headphones on and start wading in self pity and misery.
But,then I remembered the screenshot I had taken and decided to take a peek at it once more, and a wide smile came to my face, although I was still a little bit sad due to the aforementioned events , I felt the burden in my heart get lighter, and I dozed off to a dreamless sleep :)
P.S. The app's name is Alarmy and this is the playstore link:- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=droom.sleepIfUCan
Scott Adams covers this in How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big: Kind of the Story of My Life. People with goals are always in a perpetual state of feeling like losers, until briefly when they achieve their goal, and then they lose the focus of their life. But having a successful process means you win over and over.
Napoleon Hill, author of "Think and Grow Rich" gave a list of "12 things that constitute real riches". I printed a large version and put it on my wall beside my desk, one of the items is "Complete self discipline" When I find myself wasting time, or delaying some thing I should be doing I read the list, somehow reading "Complete self discipline" gets me going.
This took an insanely long time to load on my phone so here:
10 The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People 9 How to Win Friends & Influence People 8 Think and Grow Rich 7 Awaken the Giant Within 6 As a Man Thinketh 5 The Greatest Salesman in the World 4 Don't Sweat the Small Stuff 3 Drive 2 The Power of Positive Thinking 1 Your Favorite Here*
Edit: it also appears a few of these are free now: www.manybooks.net is the first place I ran into off a google search.
Buy/download this book; http://www.amazon.com/The-War-Art-Through-Creative/dp/0446691437
"Steve Pressfield's magnificent little book The War of Art is about being more creative - but more important, it's also about fulfilling your potential as a human being. To do this, he says, you must overcome Resistance (the "R" is capitalized be Pressfield to represent the fact that it is a very real entity - as real to your authentic Self as Charles Manson or Genghis Khan were to their victims). "
Read: The War of Art
Great book on overcoming the resistance preventing you from writing-creating. The Book is written by an author who talks about overcoming his own obstacles when writing great read for procrastination in general.
These ones I read this year and found them to be quite good. There mostly personal development books.

Steve Jobs Biography - I'm not a big Apple fan but Steve Jobs was relentless and intelligent. I found it motivating for that reason!
Read http://www.amazon.com/Mindset-The-New-Psychology-Success/dp/0345472322 It is a book about different mindsets and how they effect your ability to do things in your life. Her description of people that procrastinate described me perfectly.
The book helped me change my perspective on things and it didn't cure me of procrastination but it helped me a lot.
Good luck
