Another popular one is, "Which toys get the most fish?"
The answer is: Try looking here (or Googling it yourself, since there are many such pages).
If anyone is wondering where to get them. :)
Pretty expensive. And yeah what /u/noys said. Lots of reselling scammers out there
Here's the link to Amazon confirming the update: https://www.amazon.com/Neko-Atsume-Kitty-Collector-Amazon/dp/B01ELG2A1A/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1468423784&sr=8-5&keywords=neko+atsume
There are 3 new cats, 12 new goodies and new wallpapers.
Hey, guys! Neko Creator is now available on Google Play!
I would never have gotten this far without the enthusiasm, kindness, encouragement and appreciation of this community. You guys have got to be the nicest bunch of users I've ever encountered, and I wanted to thank all of you for your amazing and warm support.
Edit: The app should work on all devices with Android 5.0 (Lollipop) or above. If you have Lollipop and Google Play still isn't letting you install, PM me and I'll help you troubleshoot. Sometimes Google Play is weirdly temperamental.
Also, if you see any bugs with the app, let me know and I'll try to fix them. =)
I had to upgrade my phone in May this year because my battery wouldn't last longer than half an hour. A friend suggested Helium because I'm on Android and it worked for most games, the only one I was sad about was having lost all my Travel Frog progress and I can't get back into it (so I'm playing Tsuki Adventure instead).

It's a little more expensive, but there's another version with a remote. It looks the same, but you can set it to extra colors and have it be a solid color without animating.
Boku to Wanko:Doggie Collector. It's from a different developer than the one that made Neko Atsume, but it looks like they went to great lengths to make the game look and feel similar to Neko Atsume.
Great app, I've been using it since beta and while it's pretty basic now, the developer is steadily updating with new features.
I just found out there is a dog equivalent! It is Japanese language only.

Google image search results of the password made more sense to me imo
Rittou -- First day of winter
English pw is 'Ginger'. Quite different from the Japanese one this time 😮
Edit: not 100% sure on the Romaji. Someone please confirm
There's a dog game similar to Neko Atsume called Boku To Wanko.
I've heard the gameplay goes a lot faster in this game, though.
Here's the one for android (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.peapark.CatsGarden&hl=ja)
Edit: Started playing this and here's what I've gathered from reading bits of it and guessing.
First the menu. The menu button is the bottom left. Then it gives you (from top left across then the second row) cat, friend, album, camera, store, makeover (for the background), help, and setting.
So the game, you plant cats and water them. Once the cats grow out you can take pictures of them. However, go into the menu and select camera, if you just click on the cats then you collect them (this is how you get the cats in your list of cats) and they disappear. If you just leave the cats out then other animals will come visit them after a while. When this happens you can click on the cat with the friend and it'll let you feed the friend and you collect the friend into your list of friends. Also, you can click the watering can to check the moisture level of your cats after they've grown out too.
And that's what I've got so far. Will update when I figure it out more.
Edit 2: Here are the type of cats you can plant.
10 = crying cat
20 = sleeping cat
30 = butt cat (it's facing away and showing its butt to you)
50= shirt cat (hiding in a shirt)
70 = ball riding cat
100 = nabe cat (like the pot Chairman Meow likes)
150 = cushion cat (sleeping on a cushion)
200 = zabuton cat
250 = daikon cat
300 = house cat
400 = tissue cat
500 = Japanese wooden doll cat
If you still have the old phone it is possible to restore it, but if you no longer have the old phone it's gone. This is from a comment I posted to another thread last month:
Usually you have to root to backup apps' data on Android, but you can use Helium ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.koushikdutta.backup&hl=en ) and back up and transfer the data to a new phone. You'll have to install an app on your PC and then run it and connect your phone to the PC first, but after that you can backup until you reboot the phone. I used this to transfer all my mom's apps + data from her old Nexus 7 to her new tablet a few months back. :)
It's not too hard to use, I just backed all the apps up to her Google Drive storage, then reinstalled them from there on the new tablet.
Also, some people use an IFTTT recipe (https://ifttt.com/recipes/288575-push-neko-atsume-s-password-of-the-day) to get a notification when someone posts a password, so they know to redeem the password.
漱石枕流 | そうせきちんりゅう | sousekichinryuu | stubborn sore loser
I've decided to put the translation as a comment and start posting both the Japanese password and the English password. To those of you that might think I'm putting the date wrong, the date is based on the Japanese server time.
Here's how I've migrated my household's nekos across android phones in the past: using either Titanium Backup (Needs Root) or Helium (Root not needed), back up the app and all it's data somwhere where you can get the backup off of the old phone and onto the new (laptop/desktop, cloud storage, SD Card). Once you have the backup, load the app you're using for backing up onto the new phone, and restore the neko atsume app & data onto the new phone.
I've found this method to be highly reliable, having migrated kitties to new phones or into fresh installs of new custom ROMs probably about 5 times now. Once or twice there was some weirdness where I'd lost a day or two of progress, which leads me to suspect that the game may be caching data someplace Ti Backup/He don't think to look at when they make their backups, but I can live with a lost day.
Backup + works without having to connect to anything if you can find a way to transfer the backup files. I have yet to test whether it can really save your progress, but it might be worth trying.
For Android only:
I got AZRecorder from the Playstore and it's really easy to use and record.
Since it's going to be a video recording in MP4, I suggest to transfer it to your computer and find some online site to convert MP4 to GIF, if they allow you to set the frames or timespan (how long it's supposed to be) that's even better.
This is the one I used, it's not the best looking UI but it worked for what I needed.
Tell them absolutely not to spend the 99 cents, because that's not right. Here's links if you want to try sending them again:

Helium Backup if you're not rooted, requires a PC
If you're rooted, you can copy all your data files in /data/data/jp.co.hit_point.nekoatsume

That would be this one. This doesn't take into account any of the new items from the latest update, but it's still very much useable.
Staying in the cats theme, my all-time favorite - before discovering Neko Atsume, of course - is "Cats are Cute".

Only have taken one year of Japanese, but I found this on wikiquote which looks to me like the same as what's written on the manga.
Latin >Nitimur in vetitum semper, cupimusque negata.
English > We are ever striving after what is forbidden, and coveting what is denied us.

It searches this subreddit for a password and then sends it via the Pushbullet app to your device. As I have Neko Atsume on my tablet rather than a mobile it's better than sending it via SMS.
You just need the Pushbullet app, an account on IFTTT and the recipe:

Hello.
Thanks you for your suggestions.
She does have the heart!! :) You can see it in this Amazon listing!
I found it on Amazon, it's USB rechargeable and can't sit up when it's plugged in:

Also I find it weird because on the Google Play Store https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.co.hit_point.nekoatsume the Current Version is listed as 1.12.1 and Updated "April 24, 2019". But shouldn't it be 1.13.0 if it updated not even a day ago?
Saw these on Amazon, are they the same things?
For about $45 you can get one of several sets available on Amazon. Plush toys, washi tape, etc. as well. :D
This ad-game makes me want to spend money. I need to put up my toyshelf at work so I can buy this.
Thanks! She does love it and it was pretty cheap on Amazon. Here's the link Hope that worked, I'm on mobile
I play 猫カフェ (Neko Cafe), I'm translating its little comic to English now. Also Tadpole Tap
Yup! It's this! You sign up by giving some info about yourself and then every once in a while they'll send you surveys & reward you with some money in the form of Google credits. You get around $0.10-1.00ish. I've had a lot of luck with getting surveys and managed to earn around $12 since I started back in May but my boyfriend and friends have only gotten a few bucks, haha. The credits expire in a year.
Which version of Android are you using?
Did you install the game via the Play Store?
Did you manage to complete the tutorial when you first started the game?
I recommend Google Japanese Input: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.inputmethod.japanese It also supports western keyboard, but if you use some other software keyboard... switching keyboards might be a turn-off... You have to know the word in kana, though. In this case you would write kotoba, so ko-to-ha-" (turns "ha" to "ba") - or こ・と・は・” - and then you'd find the word in kanji in offered box above keyboard.
