TL;DR: my estimation is 402 feet based on a calculator I found online, but I'm far from certain.
I'm no math genius, so hopefully someone can respond to this and either validate this or explain further, but I used this calculator to plug in the numbers I could find. Acceleration is constant at 9.8 m/s^2 . The velocity seems to be 0 at the time of the fall, though she could've thrown it down slightly making velocity somewhat higher (this would increase the height in the calculation AFAIK). Time of the fall was a bit tricky, it seems to be from 5 seconds to 10 seconds, but some of this time could've been the phone bouncing around after it hit the ground once (it's hard to tell exactly when it hits because the screen is constantly whirring). I put 5 seconds in for time of the fall and ended up with a height of 122.6 meters, or 402 feet. But as I said, this is not my area of expertise. I just used a calculator that (I think) should get the job done.

Gifsicle has Windows binaries available, as does imagemagick. Does his telling people how he did it somehow stop people from using online tools? All it does is inform people of a potential method of doing things. I use imagemagick on Windows for things as simple as scaling images, or splitting a GIF into frames, not because there aren't online tools to do it, but because I know I can just compose a specific command with exactly what I want, run it, and get the output nearly instantly.

I use the DraStic DS emulator, and I currently have Pokemon Soul Silver and Pokemon Black loaded onto it. The touchscreen controls can be a little wonky sometimes, but pokemon isn't a very high fidelity game, anyway.

In regards to the public, you're correct, the war has ended. There isn't active fighting (aside from weekly skirmishes across the DMZ). In regards to diplomacy, the war is still ongoing. There's a thing called a Frozen Conflict which describes what the Korean War currently is: a conflict in which the fighting has ceased but there is no active peace treaty which brings a formal end to the conflict.
Think about it like this: if the two leaders of the nations involved in the conflict say that they want to actively end the conflict, then the conflict is still ongoing.

The wings create lift by pushing air down. Pushing air down means the wings get pushed up. The wings are held up by air and the body of the plane is held up by the wings.
By saying the wings do not hold up the plane, you are effectively claiming the same thing as saying that the middle of this bridge is not held up by the walls on the side of the channel. Which is to say, completely ridiculous and indicative of a fundamental misunderstanding of basic physics.

Nope. Actually it works well in high traffic areas. Remember the distance is speed dependant, so you can always slow down enough for anything to work. Tailgating is a huge cause of traffic because people have to react more when tailgating, causing waves, and they have to be hypervigilant of the vehicle directly in front of them, taking awareness from traffic further ahead. This article explains it.
And remember, leaving room in front of you is good, it allows vehicles to merge over safely. Just slow for a few seconds and your safe distance is back.

Packed snow is a nice driving surface and 65mph is no problem, I (and pretty much everyone else who drives highways in interior Alaska) cruise around at highway speeds on it every day for 7 months a year. The road in this picture is a good driving surface, much better than the gravel it is in the summer.
The trucks in the .gif aren't driving on snow, they're driving next to snow. The road surface is likely icy, which is a different thing than driving on snow. Even so, it would be normal to cruise on that at highway speed and just slow down for corners and leave extra space between you and the car in front of you.
I guess folks in the south think we drive around at 35mph up here all winter, but we don't. The only crazy thing about the .gif was being so close behind another truck.

Even with the same amount of powder a twice as heavy bullet would cause a twice stronger real recoil (that is, between the bullet and the gun), with who knows how much stronger perceived recoil (when the mass of your hands and arms and the effect on them is considered).
It's pretty simple physics: on one hand, the velocities of the gun and the bullet immediately after they part ways are connected by the law of conservation of momentum, mass_gun * v_gun = mass_bullet * v_bullet. For instance, firing a 300 m/s 10g bullet from a 1kg handgun would give it a 3 m/s velocity.
On the other hand, the destructive potential of a projectile, the work it would do fucking shit up before it stops, is equal to the kinetic energy, which follows the square of the velocity: E = mv^(2)/2.
Which means that in the above example the bullet has a 100 times higher kinetic energy than the gun, which by the way is the main reason why being hit with a bullet is so much worse than being hit by the recoil, not that the bullet has a smaller area of contact (though that's important too, of course, just not the main factor by far).

Basically, this reduces the gun/bullet mass ratio by half, which then makes the energy distribution half as favourable for the gun (and therefore for your puny human hands that have to stop it by converting all that energy into stretching of tendons and ultimately into heat).

Dude, if you're interested in this there's a book called The Wages of Guilt which delves pretty deeply into the postwar years and the generational divide among post-war Germans. Tiny whoop style drones are precisely what you're looking for. The one I linked is what I started on, and I liked it so much I eventually got another to keep as a "player 2" setup for friends.
The only thing you'll want to do is swap the frame out for the factory upgrade when the original breaks. Then once you get the hang of puttering around with the stock motors you can upgrade them for faster ones and swap in a lighter camera to make a quick little indoor racer. It's allover a solid platform that can grow with your abilities

I believe it was this book that introduced to me the concept of traction being a pie. If you're already dedicating the entire pie to one function, trying to do more just isn't going to work. In this case, the rider's tires were undoubtedly 100% dedicated to braking before the small steering input was applied. That extra demand overwhelmed the tires, and he lost traction. Plop.
