Consider how they also made Monopoly Socialist a game which grossly misrepresents socialism, I'm guessing they don't give a fuck about representation and trying to make a "feminism bad" statement.
Barely even that. I tried to look for a source, and the best I got was a collection of whispers.
Pointlessly gendered ABC books for kids.
Girl's book is pink and features letter examples like, "F is for Flower" and "T is for Tea Set"
Boy's book is blue featuring letter examples such as "A is for Airplane" and "B is for Bulldozer"
It's never too early to divide the language and start learning those gender roles!
I haven’t read this book, but my own mother asked if I knew how to improve a marriage without having to talk about it. And I searched on Amazon and this exists:
I have extremely thick long hair and I use Everyone brand shampoo. I also use the conditioner because I live somewhere humid and terrible, but they're both stupid cheap, don't irritate my allergies, and work really well for me.
I buy the one pictured above for my husband because he likes that particular scent better than the ones that aren't "for men". It's worth the eyeroll every time I look at the bottle.
Two silicone trivets, potholders, or oven mitts solve the problem of a jar that refuses to open-- and removes the risk of slicing yourself open with a knife! Plus they have more purpose than a jar opener, which is usually a single-purpose item, and which can take up more space. For extra-stuck jar lids, run the lid under hot water for 10-60 seconds first. I have never had this fail me.
There’s so much stuff like this, too. Diaper bags get the military treatment way too often. It’s like someone out there doesn’t realize that you can be a father without military training.
Honestly though, I have a book of fairy tales about strong women and it's the bomb.
I don't know why this sub always does this. You're kind of right men avg. 2 degrees C closer to a more comfortable temperature but
A) this is a sleeping mattress, all it does is lift you off of the ground so you're not sleeping on rocks and
B) this is the first sleeping bag I found on amazon(this is the part that keeps you warm) and as you can see it has a recommended temperature range of 20 degrees F completely compensating for the 2 degrees C
The girls' version is somehow worse.
It's not. "Man" is not a gender neutral term. It's a gender default. Insisting that "man" is a gender neutral term that can be used as a stand-in for any gender is like insisting that "red" is a color neutral term and that it can be used as a stand-in for any color. Is that dumb? Yes, obviously it is.
"Every man" as redundancy for "every person" is exactly the kind of shit that makes it harder for people who, you know, aren't men to be taken seriously by society. Because "man" is just the default. Everyone is just assumed to be a man, unless context forbids that it be a man, like if the person is a nurse or whatever.
This gender defaulting is just fucking stupid. Relevant book about this issue
There actually is a book called "The Girls Book" that's the equivalent to this. I have never read either and I don't know what the difference between the two is

and RGB. You know, car colors. Maybe yellow if it's sports/chevy muscle car/construction related, even tangentially e.g. this thing which I hear actually works quite well for a gimmick.
For anyone interested, the newer 2020 version of this book from the same author is called Crushes: Dating, Rejection, and Other ❤️ Stuff and is a lot less heteronormative.

For those wondering "There is no possible way anyone would ever make this trying to sell something"
Think they might be trans? If they're frustrated that their body isn't how they want it to be, might be worth chatting about gender identity :)
This is a really cute book about gender identity that would be perfect for a 7 year old.
Looking at the source, the two knives are actually different.
The men's knife is heavier at 480 g (7.5 inch Length / 3.1 inch Width).
The women's knife is lighter at 380 g (7 inch Length / 2.8 inch Width).
More like intentionally gendered..
While i agree it’s ridiculous, Spotify has data to back this up:
http://everynoise.com/gender_tldr.html
There’s also a few papers published on the topic:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychology_of_music_preference#Gender
Not exactly what you asked for but did find this: https://www.amazon.com/Cthulhu-Coloring-Book-Greg-Murphy/dp/0996772413/ref=pd_lpo_14_img_2/134-4932614-9675523?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=0996772413&pd_rd_r=25577c90-8ae6-447e-9b0a-4989930149b1&pd_rd_w=AD12y&pd_rd_wg=om3wx&pf_rd_p=fb1e266d-b690-4b4f-b71c-bd35e5395976&pf_rd_r=C0V5SNKAK8SDYZ4Q07Z9&psc=1&refRID=C0V5SNKAK8SDYZ4Q07Z9 Not affiliated in any way, but I'd like to be a librarian at some point. Wait, are my right leggings not supposed to have a dick pouch in them? Who knew!!!
Its a pretty great cup, 10/10 recommend. Its great to aggressively sip from it in the face of men in direct opposition to the patriarchy.
So, your suggestion is to inconvenience half of the population on a daily basis because a small subset of the other half feels bad/jealous that sexual dimorphism is a thing? Because I've never met a woman who objected to the existence of urinals on-principle, everyone I've ever talked to has recognized that it's just a practical thing to have.
I'm all for not leaving people out, but it's pretty unreasonable to think that the existence of urinals is a meaningful issue.
Also the option you're looking for for women to use urinals exists, but almost no one uses them because it's almost as impractical as the idea of getting rid of urinals entirely.
I've seen this before but I need to add: DO I HAVE AN INVENTION FOR HER!!! https://www.amazon.com/Adjustable-Opener-Cooks-Illustrated-Arthritis/dp/B01G7IGZOI It does wonders!
They even already have a non-gendered version.
From what you can see from the free pages on Amazon, it looks like boy/girl changes are very superficial, the math is the same.
They have them at pretty much every store that sells Lego; e.g. Target
You can also just buy offbrand ones for a lot cheaper like this one. Lego is more expensive because of a) the brand name and b) they use tighter tolerances so the pieces fit together better. Whether that's worth the extra money is up to you.
The specific one I have was a gift and I couldn't find it on Amazon. I think my mom bought it at a specialty shop. However, they do have a variety of starter sets for not too much. Such as this one:
No, but as the saying goes, anything can be one if you try hard enough! Its for back and shoulder pain, some people bruise because they are very rough.
Ok, so you're going to LOVE the review section (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09BKX8CFT/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_EM7SKAFJTWPW40GYEJJM?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1). My favorite one is where the reviewer's husband nearly cuts his thumb off, but it's not the knife's fault that it's sharp 🤣
Do you have Raynaud’s, OP? I do and I’ve been pretty happy with these hand warmers.
I might need to look up that heated mouse though - that’s interesting. I never considered that.
Consider heated fingerless gloves as an option as well. I have a friend that loves a pair similar to this. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08L4PGQ1Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_QZ2121AVXSVBGVAJWQB5?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

When I went to google the one he posted this is what came up and honestly it seems pretty solid.
There's also a red one called "Henry" with a boy prominently featured on the box: https://www.amazon.com/Casdon-Little-Helper-Cleaning-Trolley/dp/B00PIPD8PG Still pointlessly gendered, but not necessarily falling into the "housework is for girls" stereotype.
I get that the first two are coded as female in general, but how is having a special rule pointlessly gendered? The Lion King Uno also has a special rule, is that one gendered as well? https://www.amazon.com/UNO-Disney-Lion-King-Card/dp/B07Y94HY9Z/
On the contrary, THIS was the first thing I saw when I searched up school boy and I cackled like a mad woman for the next two seconds.
It seems to be from a mobile nonogram game called Wolf and Moon. It looks like the story in the game involves magical wolves so, as you say, the hair isn't really that far out of line here. I think in this art the female wolf is more anthropomorphic than the male which would explain the hair, but I haven't actually played the game so I can't be fully sure.
If you think I said Yahweh was Canaanite, either you didn't read what I said or you misunderstood it. And given that this Heiser person wrote a book about understanding the gospels by watching Stranger Things, I'm not inclined to take him seriously.
I always put a rubber band on it, it adds some friction and usually makes it so much easier to open.

It comes in plus sized and own 2 of every color and sleeve length. It is literally the only shirt I wear.
The company is also really nice and has reached out to me to try new items they're making to get my opinion, free of course. The quality is great.
Warning about the black color: if you have a white pet it will absolutely cling gleefully to the fabric lol I can't wear the black because of my fluffy cloud cat
Yeah, the apathy towards male issues is pretty strong. It's not even just that people don't care, There are also large organization that will deliberately downplay men's issues and struggles. It's really surprising when you start looking into.
When your someone who knows about men's issues,or you experience the double standards and discrimination in real life hearing the mainstream narrative about how men are privileged, and have all the power feels like gaslighting. That is why think it's important to know that there are other people who can look at things objectively, and acknowledge the struggles that men deal with so you know your not crazy. That's also why I wanted to make my post about the gender empathy gap. There is also a book written about it if interested in reading it.

my condolences, on a side note if you like bio and weird science stuff you should check out this book about the guy who invented PCR and also made homemade LSD at UC Berkely
In this page it explains a little that Hers are prescription drugs of this sub-brand that deals with "Pregnancy, birth control and many other medications have sever hair loss [which have] side effects for women, but until now it was not something a brand has solved for. Hers does. "

Idk about this specific drug in your post, I am not a doctor, but I know that recently there is a discourse of re-formulating some prescription drugs because women are more/less sensible to some ingredients than men. If I remember correctly it was painkillers that were the main culprit, but antidepressant might need to be tweaked as well for women/men.
Again, not an expert, but in my humble opinion if there's something that needs to be tailored for race/gender/age/whatever that would be drugs.
> You said "Yes there is girly music" and "Yes gendering music is stupid" as back to back statements. How do you not see the contradiction?
There is no logical contradiction between these two statements... By that logic, the statements "Yes there was segregation" and "Yes segregation was wrong" are contradictions?
> The whole point of this sub is that gendering things that shouldn't be gendered is stupid and therefore pointless.
Who decided that music shouldn't be gendered? You are acting as if this is some self-evident truth. I personally appreciate that music can be targeted towards different demographics. I can also appreciate that the actual audience of that music may not be the intended one, which is great. I take no issue to men listening to Taylor Swift and the like, but if you're going to morally grandstand and pretend like you don't see gender when it comes to music, that is just idiotic... You are going against research (check my previous comment), empirical data (from Spotify, thanks to another person in this thread http://everynoise.com/gender_tldr.html) and YouTube's millions of data points that have made these search terms popular, based on how often they are searched.
The fact is: some music is targeted towards specific demographics, often a cross the gender axis. Some people prefer to listen to the music targeted to their gender, some don't. I don't see who put this subreddit in charge of deciding that music should or shouldn't be gendered. You can have an opinion, but you can't act like gender is or should be irrelevant in music, because that couldn't be further from the truth.
Yes, each email does cost money.
MailChimp has pricing advertised for up to 100,000 contacts. Obviously, enterprise level solutions will vary in pricing completely (e.g. frequency and volume, types of measurements required like heatmapping, and determining buying patterns). Then you're omitting the cost of the drafting of an email, the testing of email with AB split testing, the time put into drafting reports on the ROI for the email marketing campaigns. There's at least a dozen KPIs needing monitored sometimes live to keep a check on the email campaign's health, and that requires manpower to digest the data.
Email marketing is arguably the best for ROI in terms of money spent vs income from campaigns, but that's when it's done right.
I have some awesome candles. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00U4REA6O/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Have one that smells like a campfire. If all they made were these candles I’m sure women would post ‘I wish they made candles that smell more pretty and feminine’ as these are dark and musky, and I’m sure you all wouldn’t have a problem with that.
Some guys like like flowery smells. Some guys don’t. I like the smell of women’s perfume, but I don’t want my house to smell like that. Who are you to judge?
The marketing is pretty obviously gendered, as well.
A product doesn't need to explicitly say "Only for use by people with she/her pronouns!" in order to be pointlessly gendered.
That one doesn't seem that gendered. She's wearing a romper (you can see that the bottom is shorts). This one, on the other hand...: https://www.amazon.com/Girls-Minions-Deluxe-Jumper-XS/dp/B014IZNTBE/
It seems that everyone forgot there was a “boy” version of this called the “Queasy bake cookerator”. My sister had an easy bake oven and I wanted one so my parents got me this one! queasy bake cookerator
I looked it up and it's in both categories and is listed as #1 for both Men's novelty pins and Women's novelty pins. For department it actually says "unisex-adult." Maybe things in that category just get cross-listed under both women's and men's clothing? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07T785134/
I was googling it and found one that all the land is pink but the ocean is still blue and it is super pretty

It would be more interesting if we knew who/what was doing the pointless gendering. Is it a catalogue, or something?
Dunno about you guys, but... they don't seem to be for men
Just so we are clear, you compared one of them to a completely different product and then said, "see! they have different ingredients!" Yes, we would expect a hypoallergenic deodorant to have different ingredients.
Here are the actual products. Note the ingredients.

>They even already have a non-gendered version.
>From what you can see from the free pages on Amazon, it looks like boy/girl changes are very superficial, the math is the same.
But that's much less controversial than what everyone else is imagining, how dare you.
Probably. China seems to be pumping out a bunch of these "mini fridges" that are identical minus a few trim pieces and brand.
Heres one I picked up like 8 months ago from walmart for 25 bux https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KZLJ7PB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_1RSXEP7RSEKV2M2QDRTM?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
They are just a semi insulated box with a pelteir.
Except if you look up the WorkPro kits on Amazon you’ll see the pink kit is definitely marketed as a ladies tool kit... I’m guessing it was just cropped out of the pic

It's a book called "Invisible Women: Data bias in a world designed for men" by Caroline Criado Perez.
I listened to the audio book through my local library. Here's the Amazon link https://www.amazon.com/Invisible-Women-Data-World-Designed/dp/1419729071
That's "SEO" - they basically try to squeeze as many words as possible that people might search on google. So someone would search "gift ideas for a dad" and this will pop up. It's not a property of a product itself, but rather a automatically generated description to best match potential search query. There might be this very same product under different description elsewhere. Or here's a "gift for her" lighter - https://www.amazon.com/Zippo-Lighter-Personalized-Engraved-Princess/dp/B07P67HBFY
This is a good one! It teaches you some basics, and walks you through steps while acknowledging that some things might be daunting! My wife isn't much of a cook, and her parents got that book for her when we moved in together. I ended up reading it and learned a lot despite thinking I already knew a fair amount about cooking!
The Bachelor's Guide To Warding Off Starvation is actually a genuinely good cookbook for those that want simple meals.
Is it pointlessly gendered? Yes, yes it is.
On the one hand, yes.
On the other hand: cookbooks are more about lifestyle/design than specific recipes, and so yes, they are gendered.
I'm talking about the difference between something by nigela Lawson https://www.nigella.com/books
Again, men and women can obviously buy either. But cookbooks are for lifestyle, and lifestyle is currently tied with gender.
If the dude in question had only seen very feminine cookbooks he might not be aware that there are more "neutral" books.
This reminds me a lot of Computer Engineer Barbie. Not to be confused with Game Developer Barbie, who actually looks like a typical software developer. (Not that there aren't girly-looking women who work in tech, but they're a lot less common.)
Link to the product's questions & answers here
Yeah, but like most other pointlessly gendered things, you can literally just post the width and size. IE: Amazon.com: TIGRADE 2mm 4mm 6mm 8mm 10mm Titanium Ring Plain Dome High Polished Wedding Band Comfort Fit Size 3-15: Jewelry
We have an item like this one and it works great also. https://www.amazon.com/Swing-Way-Comfort-Opener-Black/dp/B000HMC5JA/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=jar+opener&qid=1607216228&sprefix=jar+&sr=8-5
In what sense it ‘shouldn’t’? US is, for the most part, a capitalist country with a free market. If people are willing to pay more for an item with different appearance, it’s not surprising that item will be more expensive.
Even if I agree that the price shouldn’t be different, this is not an example of the mythical pink tax anyway. Noctua sells its black fans at a premium. There’s a well-known example of MIUCO curtains whose navy blue variant is ⅓ cheaper than any other colour. A red 2020 Ford Fusion is 395 USD more expensive than any other colour except for white platinum which is another 200 USD more.
Price discrimination based on how an item looks is common and its effects are not gendered. The prices depend on what people are buying and differences in manufacturing.
If you don’t care about the looks, buy the cheapest option. If you do, then it’s on you that you’re willing to spend more on look that you like.
Are muisjes only the anise seeds? Growing up, my Dutch grandparents gave me these and called them muisjes, but they don't have any anise. They're pretty much just sugar and coloring, and there are also chocolate versions. What would they be called instead?
Aww, our anniversary already? Well... I did get you a little something too. Sorry they only had it in hardback, but I just wanted to make sure nothing happens if you decide to chew the edges again.

So, was interested in the smell of that candle but was worried about my delicate female nose. Checked Amazon and found this amazing product
The problem with polarized internet debate is that everyone act as if they've placed a bet on a horse.
The links you have provided are interesting, however the first and third one are irrelevant to the topic.
The first one is about how there are more male speakers at conferences. The second one says the same thing that mine did (a meta-study of 73 papers on the subject). The third one is a blog post which references a news article which in turn references a self-help book (couldn't find it on amazon) by a linguistics professor talking about how women might tend to speak less at meetings when there are men present (unsure if this is actually true, either). So this one is also irrelevant, however the blog references the myth "women speaks 20 000 words a day, men only speak 7 000" which is from a 2007 self-help book titled "The Female Brain".
Amazon link
Look, you need to really step back. Stop going after the hardcore stuff, that shit will rot your brain. Some romantic reading is what you need.
Um there's one for girls too. I got a copy as a gift when I was a kid and it was awesome. It covered everything from knots to different ancient powerful women. It also included sewing, the history of woman spies with "spy tactics", and poisonous plant identification for North America.
I clip my fingernails with a giant toenail clipper. It's so much easier...
(Huh, looking at that pic -- I wonder if that's what they are marketing, essentially? EDIT: looks like it might be this weird double-ended clipper: https://www.amazon.com/Revlon-Mens-Nail-Clipper-Ended/dp/B01H9XM9E0/ )
Oreos are actually a knock-off of another sandwich cookie called [Hydrox(https://www.amazon.com/Hydrox-Americas-Original-Cookie-Ounce/dp/B0141BS1PY) that came out a few years later. They were just more successful because their name didn't make them sound like some kind of cleaning product.
Anyway, I tried Hydrox a few months ago and found it to be a bit higher quality than Oreos. It's just not as practical for me to buy since it's not sold in stores anywhere in Texas. I can only get them by ordering a pack of six boxes on Amazon. That's a lot of junk food to have around the house for one person. With Oreo, I can just walk a few minutes to the closest convenience store and buy the occasional little pack of six cookies.
A good example is the Dangerous Book for Boys and the accompanying magazine full of cool outdoor and athletic activities for boys. Someone came up with a Daring Book for Girls, but it's not the same.
The description on Amazon is enough to make anyone furious.
"The Daring Book for Girls is a manual for everything girls need to know--and that doesn't mean sewing buttonholes! Whether it's female heroes in history, secret note passing skills, science projects, friendship bracelets, double Dutch, cats cradle, the perfect cartwheel or the eternal mystery of what boys are thinking, this book has it all. But it's not a guide to giggling at sleepovers--although that's included, of course! Whether readers consider themselves tomboys, girly- girls, or a little bit of both, this girl is every girl's invitation to adventure."
😶
Here's the link for the Daring Book for Boys it's too long to type out on my iPad. But spoiler alert, it's got a lot more useful skills than childhood games, giggling skills, or talking about boys, including passing notes to them in class without getting caught.
It's ridiculous how girls are conditioned from childhood to be so different and not know how to do useful things for themselves. Even the science projects are about stuff like perfume and makeup and how they look.
This is the one we had but it looks like it's been discontinued. :( I'm sure you can find something similar if you search with the same sort of keywords though.
We also resorted to bribery. We gave her a little notebook and she got to put a small sticker in it every time she successfully went, and if she made it the whole day with no accidents, she got a big sticker. I've also heard of parents using 1 M&M or Skittle every time they go.
Oh, I saw this fucking book when I was trolling Amazon for alphabet books for our daughter. The author also wrote ABCs for Girls, in which he reused basically the same picture of an elephant but the elephant is playing with a girly-colored ball and doesn't have tusks. I shit ye not.
I guess it's not quite the "gender neutral" version, but it's called The Family Book
