Thanks! I think the reason why I am so fond of mics is because it really adds a personal experience to the gameplay.
I've found some more information on playing with redditors. Give this a read
I'm not exactly a noob, but sometimes I definitely play like one! Luckily, that sort of thing doesn't matter when you're playing with redditors. They're the most laid-back group of guys I've ever played with. As for being called a 'fagget', that's against pretty much the only rule.
I'll add you next time I'm online (or you can add me) and I'll see you on the battlefield!
Press select to spot enemies when your crosshairs are over them. Do this always. (But only press once, or the function will "overheat").
It has become a compulsion with me- so much so that I can now spot and shoot to kill simultaneously. Takes some serious finger acrobatics.
Add your region group leader.
im a group leader along with kal-padi, (the guy with the hardest name to remember) I had to look him up here. where in uk are you, im in glasgow, scotland. I have you added just never asked for a location
I'm fairly certain you downloaded Vietnam through my psn account when I got my own copy of the game (finally) and bought Vietnam along with it.
Not that that explains why it randomly disappeared or anything, though.
edit: some Googling shows at least some other people have this problem, but nothing useful was discussed in those threads.
I used to use the Sony Bluetooth headset but found it was always dying on me in the middle of whatever I was doing. On the recommendation of a friend who also plays BC2, I picked up this wired headset by Rocketfish at Best Buy for 19.99, and on top of that I had 10 bucks in reward zone certificates so overall I got it for a paltry 9.99. Audio quality is actually quite good, it has a 15' cord, in-line volume control & a mute button. I first got it to use when the Bluetooth one was dead but lately it's the only one I've been using
I know this is a headset BUT I wear it around my neck and don't use the headphone part. I only use it for the mic because like you, I have a set of headphones I really enjoy.
Rocketfish mic at Best Buy for $19
EDIT Oh and forgot to add - Many bluethooth mic's will work but not all
Alright guys, I've accepted all the outstanding friend requests (though a couple were cancelled). The script is updated and now defaults to showing only online players (you can toggle with the checkbox at top). Columns are sortable.
Let me know if you have any ideas for anything else.
For the curious, the source is at https://github.com/tomchuk/psn
You YOU!! I GODDA DELIVERY FER YOU PAL.... haha no really, every time I got near the m-com you killed me. I flick pepperoni in your general direction.
I'm from Austin but moved away 10 yrs ago, used to participate heavily in SXSW, and owned studios there. Best Pizza in Austin is Reale's. Friends of mine. Pizza I got though so could you Please send BBQ????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YES you can haz cheezburger, talk with us on mic's, AND conduct constructive teamwork. Y'all tore it up pretty good. Welcome to rdt clan!
YOU AND RIB and anyone else who hasn't already need to go register in the rdt clan database and read the Joining reddit clan doc
EDIT again - oh and BTW To start tonight's match I set up a squad and dropped us into a random game. your Laguna Presa game.
I would definitely recommend BC2. I regret wasting so much time with MW2 and waiting almost a year after it's release to get BC2. Getting a mic for the game would be a good idea if you play with [rdt], as a lot of us do use them. However, there are not many pubbers that utilize the mic and squad communication but you can pretty much always find one of us on to join up with. Go through this subreddit and add everyone you can, you can also find a list of BC2 redditors here . Add your name to the list as well!
Edit: psn: Black-out83 (feel free to add me too!)
PS3 is going to feature a server browser
Even if they don't have private matches, we'll hopefully be able to find empty servers to jump into.
I've already got a spare account set up and ready to go and the code has been updated to handle multiple accounts. There are other problems though. If you're interested, the python code is all on github.
It's basically as easy as installing the module and doing:
from psn import network p = network.PSN(email='<psn login email>', pass='<psn pass>', proxy='<proxy server>:<proxy port>') for f in p.friends: print 'Handle: %s, Online: %s, Playing: %s, Avatar: %s' % (f.handle, f.online, f.playing, f.avatar)
Get a headset if you don't already have one. Use it.
Add some of the Europe region leaders to your friends list.
Don't worry about not being good. Worry about being a good teammate and everything will fall into place.
Make sure to friend your region group leader
Also, pants are strictly prohibited.
Sounds good. Make sure to remind the Americans to adjust for Daylight Savings. Easiest way to check is here http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/city.html?n=137.
Also, you gotta change the GMT twice per year ;)
rdt doesn't avoid people who suck or I'd be friendless.
We also do not avoid those who are young because of their age. We DO tend to VERY much avoid those who are socially immature because they're doing things like screaming homophobic insults. If that isn't you, you'll have no problem making rdt friends. All you have to do is go to the list of rdt players over there ------> and send friend requests to people from your region and those that play when you do.
read the doc at this link for pointers on all the issues you brought up.
and BTW I have a couple of Philippino friends whose voices are a bit on the high side so I try not to judge age by voice pitch.
you need to contact shane_solo to be added to the list according to the list of players.
haha loving the name of the 280th person " pressselect2spot"
EDIT: brackets the wrong way around
I started out with a cheap ($17) Bluetooth headset from meritline.com. That worked fine for me for a while -- very lightweight. I could talk to people, and hear them talking which was the goal. Games sounds from the TV speakers.
Then for my birthday, the wife and kids got me a nice headset -- this one I think. I was amazed at how much better the game sounded. Wired, but the cord is nice and long, so that's not an issue. Over all, very happy with it.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
