But you'll need 7 open PCI Slots for it on your case/mobo. Basically moves your GPU 90 degrees to a vertical position.
So this won't help you with the testing of resolution (at least not in the Microsoft display settings) as you don't have control over resolution when utilizing terminal services maybe you can try adrenaline software to change the display when doing this, but try enable RDP and remoting into your PC when that occurs. I've had some odd experiences with the monitor shutting off on the display port and the HDMI port (different adrenaline version etc)
For whatever reason, the second RDP connects the monitor responds and displays the login /locked screen (which is expected when remoted in)
Oddly enough with this occurring there does not seem to be an issue with the cards themselves. Maybe just strange windows behavior. Uncertain, I don't know - if you don't have access to another PC to remote in just use Microsoft's Play Store version for an android tablet or phone. If you use an OSX device, like an iphone or tablet they may have a version there by microsoft as well. Finally, am not sure what the status is of enabling RDP or terminal services on Windows Home version but I imagine there should be a limited version of it that can be used.
Hope you figure it out and hope some of those ideas to try to troubleshoot help as well.
This is my all AMD build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/WypBv3
Only ran XMP, didn't bother overclocking because I was getting the performance I wanted. Although I would get a bunch of crashes and issues. Then I tried GTA V and my PC fully restarted. Tried a bunch of conservative settings and it just kept happening. Troubleshooted everything like you. Also ran Memtest86, and other stress tests to no avail. But I never considered it could be the PSU extension cables I got on Amazon from: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08KD9T7SG/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_9R1FB9A1WJRN53KPX0QD?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Wasn't until I removed the pcie cables extensions that I finally encountered little to no problems in general. Sometimes I get crashes but not nearly as many and mostly on big update releases.
Bought the AIO before the case, didn't know it wouldn't fit and waited too long to return one or the other because the case's side panel came shattered and waited for the replacement. Still recommend the AIO if your case has the space.
PowerColor Red Devil AMD Radeon™ RX 6900 XT Gaming Graphics Card with 16GB GDDR6 Memory, Powered by AMD RDNA™ 2, Raytracing, PCI Express 4.0, HDMI 2.1, AMD Infinity Cache
wrong link, I guess this is the one that will work?
First time heard of MST hub, yet I saw something like this on amazon
a triple DP splitter... is that the one you are talking about? I guess now the typeC displayport could be expanded to three new monitors with DP port.
This may be completely extra, but I also followed this guide to resetting known monitors or for some reason just switching the cable would result in a black screen after windows loaded the gpu driver.
I don't have experience with resolution scaling but FWIW I have had success connecting my RX5700 (not XT) to my new 4k TV and getting stable 60Hz 4k in games with the following setup:
HDMI 2.1 optical cable: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B092MWQGSF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
Windows 10 display settings: 3840x2160, 300% scaling, "fix scaling for apps" enabled, HDR on, VRR on, 60hz, with traditional PC monitor as second display ("extend these displays" enabled with TV selected as main display, and using Windows+Shift+arrow keys to move apps/games from screen to screen).
Adrenalin settings: Running 21.11.1, all Graphics settings off except Enhanced Sync, Global Display settings: VRR on, HDMI Link Assurance off, Color depth/Pixel format 8 bit/4:4:4, all scaling/resolution settings unchanged. Also FWIW I think I've reduced occasional stuttering and tearing with Frame Rate Target Control enabled and set to 60fps.
TV/game settings: 3840x2160 resolution, Full Screen on and V-Sync off in-game, and Game Mode enabled on the TV.
So anyway, so far I've been able to get consistent and stable 60FPS at 4K, with Freesync Premium VRR, with no major issues (although I haven't figured out how to get HDR working properly on this TV), without any other resolution scaling enabled. When I open a new game with this setup for the first time, though, I often see what you describe above, and there are some glitches as the system tries to negotiate the right resolution with the TV. But once I go in and update the in-game settings to 3840x2160/full-screen, it's usually A-OK.
Again, just my experience but I hope this helps!

Your level of quality goes up, your fun from the experience goes up. It's called immersion. While you can still have fun playing on a potato, you'll have a better experience with better hardware. That's why they can sell flagship GPUs for more money.
I checked a ton of sites too and literally all of them say dual channel with different capacities isn't possible.
https://www.ecosia.org/search?q=dual+channel+with+different+capacity+RAM
I know it's not Google, but I like to get trees planted when I search. Anyway, here's a definitive Wikipedia quote:
> Dual-channel architecture is a technology implemented on motherboards by the motherboard manufacturer and does not apply to memory modules. Theoretically any matched pair of memory modules may be used in either single- or dual-channel operation, provided the motherboard supports this architecture.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multi-channel_memory_architecture#Dual-channel_architecture
The only way that 12GB Is going to be dual-channel is if they're 6GB modules (which don't exist), or if you're running 3X 4GB modules in a triple-channel system (which this laptop is not).
I know it's not a water block, but this worked well on my ASRock 5700xt. Boosts to 2100. Edge temp around 80c.

Hi, yes you can use e.g. RTSS (Riva Tuner Statistics Server) only show FPS MSI Afterburner (showing more detailed statistics like FPS, GPU usage, CPU Usage, Temps etc.
Or if sou want some generated graphs you can use MangoHUD from here: https://github.com/flightlessmango/MangoHud
If you have a 2nd Monitor , try SidebarDiagnostics , it provides Temps for both CPU+GPU and SSD Info , Time , etc .

I just purchased a 5600XT a few days ago so far its not too bad. I have played a few games with no problems it came bundled with Monster Hunter World and Resident Evil 3 which run fine. First two nights I played Battletech for hours with no problems, them last night it crashed multiple times. I can't pinpoint the cause of the crashes the machine just green screens and restarts no error messages or anything in the Windows system logs. Battletech is a Unity engine game and can be buggy at times, any instability in the system will cause crashes so it may not be the GPU drivers. I have done benchmarks and burn it tests with no problems. I'm testing the machine now with Ram Test and OCCT to see if I have some other issue causing the problem.
I purchased a Red Devil 5600 XT I could have purchased a Sapphire Pule 5600XT for $40 but I wanted the PowerColor card.
Are you 100% though? Some mobos may be more finicky , and certain timings require different voltage.
download this after the chkdsk etc i recommended...
https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
Click on the SPD TAB and note your ram module timings and make sure they correspond in your BIOS. If you want click tools and save a report and post it here.
You really want to eliminate if it is the RAM that is the issue... since you only have one stick/module. You said you are getting another one in 5 days , this will be ideal for troubleshooting.
You will remove the current ram , and just put the new stick in... and see if the problem reoccurs.
I'm still thinking RAM timing right now and BIOS settings.. what are your options set to in your BIOS concerning your ram? DOCP enabled or not etc....
I bought one of these to put on my ASRock Challenger.

I've got two 120mm Arctic fans blowing directly on the card to cool ram. Memory temps don't go above 88 deg and junction temp never goes over 79 deg. Card boosts to 2050 mhz no sweat. Been running it that way over a year now.
My Radeon settings change out of the blue as well. Fast startup doesn't make a difference. I just be sure to check before I game.
I bought the Asus because it supposedly has onboard graphics rendering, there wasn't anything budget about it as it cost more than a 24"monitor. Not trying to sound offensive to that either, I simply bought it for the portability to use with my laptop, and threw it on my desktop for something other than charts and order boxes. I really appreciate the indepth response about it, I'll disconnect it and keep it for travel, I have 4 ports on the GPU so I'll just grab a small monitor from Amazon for messing around. Again I appreciate the time man.
I'm still somewhat curious though because this monitor is supposed to do is own graphics processing https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013XFJKGI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_QCRVMCNBQ3AK561YZXBB?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I saw it on Amazon today. I am not sure if they are case specific. But I have a link to an amazon australia site that can give you an idea of what it is.
I just bought this same model yesterday after looking for a while.
It was a toss up between this and a 2070 Super and I just couldn't justify the price increase personally.
I got it for $753.23 @ amazon with free amazon prime trial which made shipping free.
