Check out Jack Sparrow, Ruckspin (those two are Author), Submotion Orchestra, Jay 5ive, Silkie, Quest, Om Unit, and the label Deep Medi. Should get you started in a couple different directions.
Also here's a recording of Author's recent gig in Brooklyn. It was unbelievable.
Heres a link of the dj's currently doing mix of the month
if you would like to apply, just comment on this thread with your dj name and a mix you have done.tell me which month you want, first come first serve
Last month atm was swamped [lol] with school and whatnot so he wasnt able to do it. We should have put a message out.

https://www.mixcloud.com/BurdyBurd/burdy-burd-random-deep-weekend-vibe-mixxy/
New random mix with tunes I'm really feeling at the moment. I always try to mix some different vibes into a mix, but always try to add that dark minimal touch. Variation in blending tunes is important to me, some tunes just deserve to drop on their own, some are made for a perfect blend. Always trying to search for those nice transitions.
I will buy the vinyl too. It just sounds better.
I think Neil Young said it best: "Piracy Is The New Radio" http://gizmodo.com/5881167/neil-young-piracy-is-the-new-radio
If I appreciate an artists music and I want to hear in high quality, I buy the vinyl.
It's not that it's Brostep. It's that this is 145 bpm glitch-hop. It is on the edge of the genre for sure though, but it's more a future/glitch/trap style tune than dubstep.
http://www.beatport.com/release/silver-lining/277464
It's still a good track, but it isn't even categorized as dubstep by its producer, let alone real dubstep.
Any source is fair game. Personally I was quite proud of Sick - Fatboy (Artikal Remix) -> Biome & Demon - Incubus in my first recorded mix. Wish I'd have tweaked the mids a bit to keep the vocal in Sick at the front and let it run a bit after the drop in Incubus.
Any audio for the ones you mentioned?
There have to be enough songs though. We need like 30+ songs a month to go over say, 20+ vpvotes, or just more popularity in terms of upvoted songs.
edit: Gotcha on the list.

Listened to Matt Deco's latest mix on sub fm and it drives me crazy that i can't get most of the track names somehow! (yes that was me on mixcloud asking for the tracklist) is there anyone that recogize any of these songs? link
Check out this post from a few months ago. There's a few songs which are considered "classics" from the most renown dupstep labels (and some unreleased tunes too). I wish I had a post like this a few years ago when I started getting into the scene !
Definitely check out Tempa, Deep Medi, DMZ, Chestplate, Hyperdub, the white labels and dubplates on this post. Mixes are a great way to find some more essential tunes, especially Dubstep Wars. This mix is what got dubstep on the map in the first place, and it's so fucking great !
The other comments covered most of it otherwise !
Well the first five Hotline releases were reissued on cassette. And that cassette came with a download code... So guess what.
Was originally planned to drop tomorrow but apparently it'l be a bit late. Has Butcha on the flip side as well! Wanted this for a very long time as well, buzzin it's also comin out.
Not sure if it's the most convenient way, that's how I do things like this:
Download the shows with Jdownloader https://jdownloader.org/ and put them as MP3 files on the phone.
A mix of old and new grime and dubstep, with a wee dubplate special in there. All done off vinyl, as ever. Enjoy!

Just been told babylon-tube have blocked it in certain countries. It's also been hosted on mixcloud: https://www.mixcloud.com/ClouwdNine/tribek-clouwdninefm-080315/
They've got an album coming out soon! Some of it is really heavy and I'm not sure it'd fly here, but it's all still good!
Linky! (More songs to be added)
Also check out another deep tune they did for free download!

EshOne --- He's from San Diego and has an amazing sense for music. He's always trying to push the boundaries with his music and his music has been played out by some dubstep heavy weights. Check it out.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w946Bqn8hyA https://soundcloud.com/eshone
For some reason I was expecting this to be a remix of Age of Adz. I wasn't sure how that was going to work.
Man, that bass is cool though. Good track.
No it wasn't, actually! He had one called No Women No Kids, though it's not up on his SC anymore, it's on my hard drive, along with all of his other older bits. I watched him develop on SC ;)
Demon - Chang Caine (Mesck remix)
Here's a mix I made a short while back with it in it @ the 17 minute mark

Underated tunes and artists, in my opinion anyway
Saw him few months ago in Ottawa, awesome show. Anyone know the ID to the track 3 (5:56) He playeded it when I saw him and its been in a few mixes, but can't find any info on it. Killer tune.
Fair enough - but a cursory glance at amazon, and if you're looking for 10'' woofers you're spending this guy's budget a least a couple of times over and that'll still only get you one speaker which I think we can all agree on is just silly. I said a subwoofer isn't optional because at the price point, the speakers you're going to be looking at just aren't going to have the size or power needed to get decent sub-bass. Honestly, if you want something super easy to set up and won't break your bank I was using these logitech speakers for years until I bought my stereo set up. Loads of volume, and it has a bass knob you can turn down if neighbours are getting pissy.
You can get a Polk Subwoofer pretty cheap on Amazon, eBay, etc. I use one in my studio for music listening, and it's more than capable of helping out with what bookshelf speakers can't deliver.
Something like either of these would be fine:
Also, it might be easier just going with some powered speakers, rather than dealing with an amp/receiver.
Aw that sucks!
Egoless has been posting vids of this lately and it looks sweet! It's just as much as the mixer though haha
