Alternative title: I hate Snake Plant and Ascension 17, upvotes to the left.
Minor edit of the Council of Ghosts because I recently found what the StS font is (It's called Kreon and can be found for free here).
Bonus Living Wall edit for when your discord members want change.
Thank you! I assembled it myself appropriating lawn/outdoor decorations that fit the bill.
The skull piece I acquired here: Amazon: Crazy Bonez Gazelle Skull
The bone spine that comes out of the skull was taken from this piece: Amazon: Crazy Bonez Skeleton Cobra
To assemble the mask I needed to remove the cobra head and the back panel of the gazelle. This was a little tricky because one of the screws on the cobra head was stripped. Luckily, the gazelle skull had a pre-drilled hole in the back (assumedly for hanging this piece on a nail in a wall), and the wire giving the bone spine shape has a loop on the end that fits snuggle in the hole. After some creative twine wrapping inside the interior of the gazelle skull (which is hollow), I was able to screw things back together and the tail flawlessly hangs out the back of the top of the skull—acting as a counter balance to the top-heavy horns.
The black elastic straps are hair bands that I have nestled between the two plastic front and back pieces of the mask. There is an unseen cushion also fixed to the backside to help manage how uncomfortable the mask is to wear! Seriously can’t do it for more than 15 min without getting a headache. I hope to work on this aspect if the mask’s design over the year since I am a total noob at this kind of thing.
It's Kreon. The font also has an outline of about 3 pixels, I think.
I had tried to make my own little meme myself before my PC crashed and I just gave up on it.
I found a google play store like here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zloong.eu.mszy
It's a complete rip off of Slay the Spire, has some premium currency you can purchase (like most mobile games) but playing it for 20 min hasn't showed me where you would need to spend it. The art is cool and the map/board is interesting since you roll a dice like in Mario party so you skip many nodes if you roll a high number. Sadly since most of the cards and combat is a rip off of Slay the Spire I imagine the game is infringing and should be removed. Would be nice to have slay the spire on mobile though!
Many streamers and other gaming community figures have chrono.gg partnerships which support them with a portion of a sale made through their specific link.
Check any who you might wish to support, for example Totalbiscuit's family still uses chrono.gg/tb.
There are a few clones even on mobile, Wandering Night probably beeing the most shameless, it's basically a reskin of slay the spire with added rng.
Identical normal/elite/boss patterns, same deck and classes archetypes, 95% of the cards work exacly like they work in slay the spire, some even have the same name.
I would love to see some new deck building roguelites, but not like this, this is sad.
Hi everyone, I just released my first android app - a Slay the Spire Database :D You can view and search all cards and their upgrades. If you are interested I might add Relics and potions. Please tell me what you think :) Slay the Spire Database on Google Play
The original Jays version? I believe that one hasn't been updated for a long time. I've only been using Ryochan's forked version, works great for me, try giving that one a shot.

Going with the theme of MtG introduced elsewhere in this thread, Mark Rosewater actually has a good article on why bad cards are a key to making a good game. Especially salient is point 5: "Diversity of Power Rewards the More Skilled Player"
I use a program called Clip Studio Paint! It has all the features I need, has a free trial you can use if you're curious, and somewhat regularly goes on sale. I would highly recommend it :D
Physical copies are popular with collectors, and console players.
Looks like it is $20 from Amazon so that's probably the best bet.

Nice list, I've been playing t Void Tyrant on android to fill the void, pun intended. It's a like a bastard child of StS with the robot character from Dicey Dungeons. Rogue Adventure sounds interesting, will check it out.
I've played it using the Steam Link app and it's worked pretty well so far. The downside is needing to have your PC on/not in use and there were a few times where my connection wasn't good enough to use it, but it fills the gap for now. It basically just mirrors the PC screen and controls on your phone.
There's a game on the Android Play Store called Night of the Full Moon: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ztgame.yyzy
It's not just a StS clone, has a pretty good learning curve and it's free (but you can buy other classes with microtransactions and you can free trial some of the "easier" classes).

$100 is a lot considering its a card game (around 400) with 4 figurines and a 5 small boards. Its even reusing the art from the game, so almost no original art, further reducing costs.
I would have expected something in the ballpark of $60 to $80 for this.
Your estimates are way off. Monopoly costs like $16 with some editions costing as little as $10.
i recommend against the gods for anyone who's interested in an approachable history of our interfacing with risk. was definitely a formative book re: my approaches to games.
Thank you very much. I can now read the texts again.
>Other tips: Dont heal before Hexaghost (it does damage based on your HP.)
This isn't always the right choice.
The damage of Divider (Hexa's turn 2 attack) is indeed a function of one's current HP, but the function is one's current HP divided by 12, plus one, six times. The effect is that the damage is usually around half of one's HP, and that Resting is about half as effective as usual, assuming one can't mitigate Divider at all (which is a pretty weird assumption to make).
I made a graph to visualize this a while back. The X-axis is your current HP, and the Y-axis is points of damage or health. The blue lines are Divider's damage relative to the player's health, and the dotted red line is a visualization of the player's HP. Note that Divider is lethal if the player has 1-6 or 12 HP.
You are correct in that Resting before Hexaghost is usually the incorrect choice, but it can be necessary if one's HP is under 20 or so. Sometimes, you just need more health, and going up against Hexaghost can certainly be one of those times.
I'm seeing a lot of misinformation and bad advice getting thrown around in this thread, so let me clear things up:
It's OK to heal before the Hexaghost fight.
Here's a graph of the damage that Divider (the turn 2 attack) deals relative to your current HP. Both the x-axis and the dotted red line y=x represent your current HP, and the blue line f(x) is the damage output of Divider relative to your HP.
The first thing you should notice is that the red line goes up way faster than the blue line. The damage that Divider deals is effectively half of your HP (rounded down to the nearest 6), plus 6. In practice, this means that healing before the Hexaghost is about half as effective as healing before other fights, assuming you can't mitigate Divider at all and just take all of the damage for some reason.
But then, of course, Divider is an attack, and just as with any other, Strength reduction, Weak, and Block are as effective as ever at mitigating it. If your defense game is strong enough by this point, you don't really have to care what your current HP is.
Worth noting is that, if you have 1-6 or exactly 12 HP, Divider is lethal; and that [[Pantograph]] can cause you to take at most 18 extra damage from this attack.
After trying a bunch of apps, iteventually worked for me without rooting with the Files app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.marc.files
Android 11 locks things down hard, do they think they're Apple or something? 😜
It's pretty heavily discounted on GMG right now and shouldn't have any region lock restrictions (Holiday discount code GMG12 should get you another 12% off).
Similar to you, I stumbled upon Northernlion's series yesterday and after buying the game I sunk about 8 hours straight into it. Extremely addicting, well worth the price of admission.
Is Krita a randomly generated name by that game? Because that's the name of an open source piece of art software. Would fall n line with the developers taking liberties with references.
I just checked and they say to post any bugs/issues to their Discord server. I recommend posting it as it seems as though it's not just a one-off issue.
I recommend to use DS4Windows. It emulates Xbox interface and gives XInput support which is required for some games.
The official site is outdated but this forked version is fine.
OnTopReplica is really great for that, assuming you use windows. You can choose any (part of) window to put on top of everything else, change the size, the transparency etc...
I used this to get the source code and all the project files and stuff out of the .jar in the STS files. Just use the GUI version though, I couldn't get the eclipse plugin to work.
There are people who does not worship that shi*ty-evil Gamepass. For them there are Pirate Outlaws ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.piratesoutlaws.fabledgame ) and Dungeon Tales ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.homecookedgames.dungeontales ). The second one is a barefaced StS clone but it can fit your needs until the Android release. As for the first one it is an original game.
Amazon sells an amazing moon reference object for 4 dollars if you need help drawing what the moon really looks like:
Happens with many popular indie games nowadays.

You are highly likely to like this game called Night of the Full Moon
It is also on android.
No affiliated with the game in any way, just ended up playing for 9 hours in one sitting on sunday.
Wandering Night actually has the same mechanics as STS

"Alive or Asleep" has exactly the same cards and gameplay as StS, only the graphics are inspired by the "Darkest Dungeon". I have not found any ads or IAP in the game yet, it currently looks 100% free:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.corona.gplay.aoagl
there is that sleazy rip-off version on the google play store Royal Booty Quest from what I've seen the mechanics are the same with worse art but it might scratch your itch
Night of the Full Moon was a game I enjoyed that feels very much inspired from Slay the Spire yet remains its own thing. One neat mechanic it had was prayer cards which are cards that have a delayed effect (eg. deal X damage after 5 turns). They were usually more powerful than cards with similar effects but of course you'll have to plan around the delay.
Air Mouse, not setting any speed run records this way, but it gets the job done.
