In the address bar on the right side you'll see an Android icon Clicking the icon launches swipe for Facebook. This same behavior will happen with other Facebook wrappers as well (friendly for instance). The icon is only there when on the Facebook website.

As a fellow Android developer, it pains me to see Friendly being assholes on the Play Store. I've left a one star review with them.

The application was requested for shutdown by facebook itself. I don't think it's coming back. The link for the app with 1mil downloads was this, which shows you that the file cannot be found on google play right now.

This app is apparently abandoned anyway so it may just be a good idea to try a different app (Metal or Friendly both get suggested whenever this comes up).

I've had this too. I fixed it my switching the Webview implementation in Developer options. I first had this when my webview was set to Chrome Canary, then changing it to Android System Webview fixed it for a few months before it started happening with that as well. I'm currently using Chrome Stable as my webview and it seems (for now) to have fixed it.

That's kind of outside the scope of Swipe. Swipe is just a wrapper for the mobile Facebook site. A fancy wrapper with some nice features and slight usability edits, but a wrapper nonetheless.

I haven't found a decent alternative for Messenger with chat heads, but if you're willing to forgo them both Disa and Messenger Lite are very good alternatives.

Did you even read the article you linked? I responded. There's a quote from me in the article. I removed Simple Social from the store at the time because I wanted to, not because I had to or because I received a C&D. The article is also 8 months old, things change within that time. You were wrong and can't admit it. It'll be ok Simple Social however has been back on Google Play for months now. Have a great day 👍🏾.

I'm unable to either download it or update it despite having the paid version from the Play Store. If it's of any help, I'm using now "<strong>Frost</strong>" and so far seems to be an alternative just as good or even better than Swipe.

Swipe for Facebook Pro is a separate app from Swipe Free, it's not an unlock.

The messenger client works the same as the mobile Facebook website. Because of this, none of the features you're looking for are currently available. There are stickers available and a like button, and you can attach photos; but it appears that that's it. While I'm not sure if this can be altered in the future to run more like the Messenger app, for now it only does basic things (like Messenger Lite).

As for the Pro version, the What's New section reads this: "Swipe Pro now only focuses on three major things: Facebook Ad blocking, Messenger Chathead Themes, and Widget themes." So if you're not looking for these features when purchasing, then you're simply showing support for u/jcbsera. :)

1. Get Swipe for Facebook (free version).
2. In Settings, try enabling the ad block setting at the top to bring up Google's payment screen.
3. Hit on redeem and paste the code in.
4. If the above doesn't work, you can also just enter the redeem code in the Google Play Store app.
