Not gonna lie, I was inspired by seeing all the posts about Kaitlyn’s scrunchy company. BUT, the problem with her company is definitely getting into a market where there are PLENTY of cheaper alternatives that are identical to what she’s trying to sell! It’s helping bring back the style but not in the right way.
I’m in accounting so 5 years of undergrad and post-grad schooling included a lot of business classes. It makes me cringe to see her launching a new business with a product that isn’t new or innovative and having such a high price tag.
Only 11 scrunchies pictured because I already have one in my hair ~ it’s a bad hair day #sundayvibes ~ I forgot how much I loved scrunchies when I was a kid! The scrunchy also helps give my bun/ponytail some volume.
btw i'd like to take this time to let people know that one of the biggest fake scams going around right now is an email from a hacker claiming that they have nude pictures or video of you from your webcam, and they'll release it unless you send them bitcoin. they even include a password you've used in the past so it seems real, but these passwords are from data breaches (e.g., dropbox, hautelook, marriott... there have been a lot). you can see if your data is on the dark web by using haveibeenpwned.com to check your email. it'll tell you what exactly was stolen during which particular data breach, pretty neat.
but do not fall for this shit if you get an email that says that. just ignore it and mark as spam and delete. i got one and had a moment of panic before quickly realizing it was an old password and i'm only ever naked in front of my laptop if i've been too lazy to put a shirt on and am double-chinning it while eating.

I have an anxious attachment style too, and initially I thought it was a bad thing. What I like about this theory is how non-judgmental it all is. Your needs are your needs. I NEED more security and validation from partners, so I NEED to look for someone who is capable of giving me that. Secures can do that, while avoidants cannot.

A #40 scoop is my go to. For chocolate chip cookies I just go with the recipe that’s on the bag of toll house chips. Make sure you butter is soft and eggs are room temp. Make sure the scoop is nice and full and don’t flatten then balls once they’re on the pan.

I didn't find Jana's opinion offensive, just misinformed. I feel like the media is constantly telling us these cautionary tales about husbands running away with the nannies, that it leads many to believe it's the norm. For example, dozens of lifetime movies. All that coverage on Jude Law, Ben Affleck, and Gwen's Stefani's husbands. A big storyline in Sex and The City 2 was that Charlotte was worried Harry (her husband) was after their nanny. The show Jana starred on, One Tree Hill, had a whole story line where the nanny become obsessed with the husband. On The Mindy Project, Mindy jokes to Danny they're only going to hire "ugly nannies" when talking about their future. The list goes on and on.
If you google it, there's also a bunch of op-eds on reputable news sites warning people against "hot nannies." Like this one: https://www.huffpost.com/entry/note-to-self-never-hire-a_n_8023090 I personally have never heard of any nannies breaking up families in real life, though I'm sure there are rare cases like with anything. I feel like it's just become this strange trope people follow based on anecdotes.

Maybe she meant traditional therapy doesn't work for victims of trauma because you have to be more careful when handling memories? Someone I know went to therapy to deal with PTSD and it was a very specific therapy for trauma victims with some kind of hypnosis involved. I just realised it’s actually a DNS I use for Hulu, I’ve used both Unblock Us and Unlocator and they both worked for me. I have an Apple TV and so I type the DNS they give me into the settings and then I can access all the American apps, such as Hulu.

I have a Laotian friend who came to the states at 10, with her family with only the clothes on their backs,. She was the middle child. Her older sibling went through an arranged marriage (still married. Her parents arranged a marriage for her at 16. She decided to run away with her love, not marry the guy her parents wanted her to. She eloped with the guy she thought was right for her, had a child, put herself through college, started a career. For a long timer her family wouldn't speak to her. Eventually she divorced (young) the eloped marriage, took her son and started over. While she was building a business she started dating a few guys through Match.com eventually met the one she felt was right for her (Caucasian this time), they married, built an empire (they were offered 60 mil for their business in 2008). Her entire family works for her business. She's raised 2 more kids with the 2nd husband, they've been together for nearly 20 years. I share this story only as an example. You never know what can and will happen in life. I think the answer is within you. Good luck on your journey.

But when I was living in France I got a VPN (I use ExpressVPN) and set my location to the US so I could still watch Hulu which carries the bachelor shows. The only thing I'd include is an additional circle for the body. Sometimes, our body has important information like a tightness in the chest, or pit in the stomach, or a headache. That information is also valuable to bring to the negotiation table as well.
With this concept, I stress the importance of experience. You have a ton of wisdom inside you already. Practice, practice, practice, practice! It will help shape your perspective so this concept becomes like muscle memory.

The worst thing in the world isn't being alone. The worst thing in the world is being saddled with some dude you don't particularly like and/or one who makes you feel bad about yourself, just because you feel like you "have" to be in a relationship. That is a very likely outcome when you have low self-worth.
I am *not* one to typically recommend self-help books, but Self-Compassion by Karen Neff is really, really good. It's all about being kind to yourself and seeing yourself like a friend -- what would you tell a friend who said she wasn't pretty, smart or attractive enough? I'd bet you'd be able to find a million wonderful qualities about her - you can and should do the same for yourself.
I didn't find my current, lovely spouse until I was 34... up until then I had been in a couple okayish relationships and a few really crappy ones. My biggest regret looking back is not knowing my self-worth and being afraid of ending up alone.
I am sure you will find someone. It might take time. But in the meantime, work on being kind to yourself. I bet you're an amazing person!

Most of the people who would be influenced by the celebrity Match.com ads probably don't keep up with BN people as much as we on this sub do, especially the timeline of when they began in relation to the ads. Maaaybe they'd be familiar with Jason and Kaitlyn, since they're big names in the franchise, but Bibiana and Vanessa are both dating people outside of BN, so while we on the sub know they probably (read: definitely) didn't meet on Match, the people the ad is targeting may not. Either that, or they don't care about the timeline as long as their favorite celebs are endorsing it, haha.
It’s pretty easy once you get the hang of it. Are you using unity or gnome? You’re going to want the right “tweak” tool for that version. In your /home directory, you’ll need a folder called /.icons and /.themes the periods are important. When your in your file browser, you can press control+H to show folders that have the period in front of their names. Icon packs go in the .icons folder and themes go in the .themes folder. omgubuntu has a pretty decent theming section with most having step by step guides for installing. here’s an older page for the arc theme. The icon theme I mentioned is a little easier, open up your trusty terminal, control+alt+T for a keyboard friendly shortcut, then paste “sudo apt install numix-icon-theme-circle” but without the quotes, enter your password, I think you’ll have to press enter to confirm installation and your set. Once you have those installed, open either unity tweak tool if your using unity, or gnome tweak tool if your using gnome and you can select it there. If you’re using gnome, there’s an extra step that may be needed to enable shell themes, if you use google chrome, you’ll need to go to the store and add the gnome extension tool, which will sync to your desktop and you can search that area for the theme extension, slide the switch, and boom, more theming compatibility. Let me know if you have any questions, I’ll try and help out as best possible.

Oh gosh, everywhere and I’m still looking! I got all of the basics on Amazon (duvet insert, sheet set, king size pillows). I really want a white or off white duvet cover like Kaitlyn’s (something like this). I am still looking for throw pillows that I like. I want three 26x26 euro pillows to go against the headboard, and the headboard I want is this one from Wayfair. I’m torn between the beige color and the linen color for the headboard. Our bedroom walls are a really light grey and they kind of take on surrounding colors. Our bedroom furniture is like a silvery distressed color, so I want it to flow, but not be too matchy-matchy at the same time, haha. Oh, I also want to get a grey or beige quilt to fold over the end. I haven’t picked it out yet though, haha. And maybe some smaller patterned throw pillows to toss in there as well.

I'm currently reading The Likeness by Tana French. I'm not very far in but it's good so far.
I devour thrillers, so I have tons of recommendations in that genre. The Dry by Jane Harper is so, so good. Probably my favourite book I've read this year. Some other semi-recent favourites are Into the Water by Paula Hawkins, The Lost Girls (more historical fiction but really, really good), and The Kind Worth Killing.
I don't read nearly enough non-fiction but I recently read What Happened by Hillary Clinton and really liked it. Also read When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi over the summer, and it was beautiful but heart-wrenching.

I make my coffee in my French press, throw coffee creamer into the milk frother, and now I have a latte. If I want to be super fancy, I add vanilla extract to the creamer before I turn on the frother or add a sprinkle of pumpkin spice to the milk froth after I'm done making it.

You can usually pick up free HDTV channels for the main network channels like ABC, CBS, NBC.
Buy a VPN service and set the sever to be US so you can get access to US content. Prices range depending if you go month to month or buy a yearly package. Most services allow multiple connections so if you want to watch Hulu and your friend Netflix at the same time, you can, Most also have smartphone apps. If you are traveling, and using wifi, you should always use a VPN to prevent traffic sniffing even on secure networks (like wifi s that require a login and password). Unsecure networks are easy to hijack so this is a FYI.
One thing I do want to mention is that a lot of services like Hulu and Netflix have some VPN companies ips blocked which means you cannot access. Do a free trial first (many offer them) to make sure you can get access.
We use NordVPN which I DO NOT recommend. Quick google search pulled up a lot of “best lists” so finding one shouldn’t be hard.

Hmm well I'm not sure what the difference is between the cooking and noncooking stuff is to be honest, but what I get is Extra Virgin (unrefined) Coconut Oil, my favorite being this Trader Joe's brand (I buy it straight from TJ where it's only like $5 or $6, def NOT from Amazon). But I imagine any brand that's unrefined extra virgin would work just as well!

regarding VPN's definitely make use of the trial period before paying since it doesn't always work.
I think ExpressVPN has worked, but things are always changing and what works one season doesn't work the next.

I think they block a lot of VPN providers, I get that site fine when I'm in NZ, but when I'm back in Syd it gets blocked on NordVPN. ExpressVPN used to work with a lot, but it's basically a game of wack-a-mole as they close off access and the VPN provider sets up new servers.
