The best way is to use Wireshark, just install it (includind winpcap), then run the software and double click your connection (ethernet or wifi adapter).
From that point on start a game and you should see a huge stream of UDP/DTLS packets coming and going to the same IP, copy-paste the address HERE and if it says Microsoft Azure that's xCloud 😁
Penso che per noi italiani/europei la destinazione più vicina siano i datacenter in Olanda o Germania, mi sa che quelli in Francia non siano attivi per xCloud
The only thing I can think of is a usbc hub like this from Amazon
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QXMNF1X/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_ldbhFbX7RJZKZ
I do not have experience with one of these for controller + charging, but I think it may be the only option.
https://www.android-x86.org/installhowto.html
Follow this guide STEP BY STEP! and once done installing, run Android x86. After it starts up, setup as you would like a new phone and then go straight to settings, click on "Android x86 options" and hit "enable native bridge". Then you're good to go!
Install xcloud, sign in and play 😁!
Yea I did some research and all I keep finding info on is the ultra version of this phone. But they did keep recommending the spigen case for the ultra version. Gotta take off the rubber things on the kishi for it to fit. Soo imma buy the s21 version of this case and see how it works. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08LKHCRL3/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_QCGFSH9RBQNKS5QK8FV4
Get this app for your phone https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nvidia.shield.remote
Connect it your your shield
Now you have a keyboard and mouse, using your phone, to type and control Xbox game pass (and other apps).
Have fun!
you can play xCloud in Singapore:
Hope this helps! (:
This is what I have: https://www.amazon.com/Fire-HD-10/dp/B07KD6YDKC/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=Fire%2BHD%2B10&qid=1595303837&sr=8-1&th=1
The Xbox One Bluetooth controller works perfectly and I do not notice any lag on 5Ghz WiFi. Do note that you will need to sideload the Google Play store since Amazon runs their own skin on top on Android and removes all Google services.
So, I don't want to spend on a laptop and that rules out a Surface. So yeah, I wanted something compact to take on the go or plug around the house.
I'm wondering if something like this will suffice:
I read somewhere that streaming needs 4GB of RAM and this has 8. I dunno, it ought to work?
Translation to english for the non-french speaking fellows:
Oh do you speak French? I know a bit of baguette myself, now as to your problem I think it's either a server problem or your WiFi is having issues I would say it's probably your WiFi as it seems a bit slow to be honest. Although it meets the requirements, consider getting better WiFi reception.
Good luck!
Bonne chance!

That’s a good price, Thank you. It’s not for me, I’m in Chicago suburb with 2-4 ms ping to Northern Central Illinois datacenter.
But I will tag all the Bell Fibe Canadians and maybe add to a FAQ for them.

this is the one I got. I did see some comments about less speed with it, but it doesn't happen to me so far. I do have a 1 Gbps connection though, and obviously it being a Gbps converter, if your plan is higher than that you won't achieve it. Just make sure to use Bell's SFP in it or from what I read it won't work. Also gotta set your router's port to vlan 35 (36 if you haven't IPTV that I read, but I don't have any).
Yes it is very strange. I do have the HH3000, and it was originally set as a bridge, using PPPTP authentication in my USG router, yet I did have those weird glitches. Odd on Telus though, I don't have them to test. This is also just my experience, obviously this may not work for you, but from what I read on here and in some other sites, it does look like there is a problem with the HH3000 for some reason, with xCloud only (I didn't have any other issues with it really).
I know that using the Game Pass app on my phone on data with Bell was running very well and it made me scratch my head on to why I couldn't accomplish that over wi-fi and wired connections haha.
The converter I got is this one --> https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B003CFATL0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 , it seemed to be the most popular in my readings, and even in Amazon's comments there are a lot of people that used it to bypass the HH3000
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B003CFATL0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 this is the one. Just make sure to use the SFP that is in the HomeHub to connect it and you should be fine. You need to set your router with vlan 35 (36 if you have an IPTV that I read, but I don't have any) on the port and the rest is pretty much plug and play.

This is exactly the kind of setup I originally wanted. The controller is really good quality but because of the lack of good tablet options that would fit (the Lenovo M7 3rd gen at 600p resolution is the only one), I ended up just returning the controller.
I replaced it with a £10 xbox controller clip from the same company which I modified to work with tablets. I designed and 3d printed a magnetic clip holder so I could use it with my old 2048 x 1536 resolution mini tablet. It works a treat for local and cloud streaming around the house and in bed.
Unfortunately no good telescopic controller fits any tablet above about 7" in device width.
That's why I ended up just buying a £10 xbox controller clip which I then modified to work with tablets. I designed and 3d printed a magnetic clip holder so I could use it with my old 2048 x 1536 resolution mini tablet. It works a treat for local and cloud streaming around the house and in bed.
Ok, can you figure out if your laptop network card supports atleast AC-600. If the laptop supports AC (Wifi 5), I don't think you need any external adapters.
If the laptop internal doesn't support AC, then the minimum you should get is AC-1300 external wifi adapter.
If you want Wifi 6, AX-1800 is the one to get. $45 at amazon

Are you paying monthly for Ultimate?
Make sure it's the Game Pass app, not just the Xbox app, and on the home page there are three buttons: Cloud, Console and PC. Make sure the Cloud button is selected.
Onn 10.1 tablet and one of my old One X controllers when I'm at home and the wife wants the main tv. Gamesir X2 or just the touchscreen on my OnePlus 7t for on the go. Been thinking about the Kishi v2, but I think I'll wait until Black Friday/Holiday shopping if I even do it. No headphone plug really isn't a selling point.
OP, like the other replier here mentioned, you are using an older prototype. Below I linked the two apps you need for Android at least but will give you an idea at least of what you'll be looking for.
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gamepass
PC: If you are on PC, simply login to XBOX with your account and click play and you'll be set to go.
iOS / Mac: Simply look for Game Pass with their application provider, not very experienced with Apple products but it should be similar in regards to downloading as Android / Google.
Hope this helped you.
You don't need the console beforehand in order to do the conversion, even PC only players do it.
It is showing $55 of price for me. You cannot be currently subscribed or you won't get the 1:1 conversion ratio. So let current sub lapse, turn off auto renew, don't resub for new month. Then buy that Live Gold code from Amazon, three 12 month codes, 3 is max.
Then resub to Ultimate only after three live gold codes are stacked. Then it will ask you if you would like to combine subscriptions. And you end up with Ultimate for 36 months.
P.S. Ultimate also gives you PC GamePass, you can play all Ubisoft games from PC GamePass via Nvidia GFN free tier streaming service.
Only order the Console once you have Ultimate locked up at $5 rate.

I'm guessing laptop is running at least Win 10. Anyways, check out the TP-Link AC-1300 external wifi adapter, should be much faster and less latent than the laptops internal wifi module.
It's a quick and easy upgrade for the laptop.
Are you playing on the Xbox app or browser? If browser, then play on the Edge browser with Clarity mode.
If using Xbox controller on bluetooth, you could also get the Xbox Wireless Adapter for $25, it lets you use the Xbox Wireless Protocol on PC, which gives near Wired Latencies at 3 ms. Another option is to use the controller Wired.
Doing both those things should make your experience even better than currently, I would recommend getting the TP Link adapter at the minimum, you router should be Wifi 5 AC router.
Are you paying for Ultimate monthly? Do you know about the Live Gold conversion to secure Ultimate for $5 month for 36 months?
I used two, Express VPN and now Mullvad, the last one is better, the price is like R$ 30 per month. The servers on São Paulo is better to xCloud, don't know why. Sometimes here the connection is very very good, sometimes is like... Well, pixelated. When this happens, VPN times.
Sometimes closing the app in the task manager and opening again fixes the problem. Yeah, have to be on the task manager.
(I think it's better too)
you have to pass the data from ControlD and NordVPN in manassas with edge canary for a perfect performance, you don't know how much it cost me to find this out and how many vpn I paid to be able to play as if I had the console. The XBOX community must help us, in controlD the fastest server for me is Kansas City. Excuse my English, I speak Spanish.
Indonesian here, I have 40Mbps internet connection via LAN, and I connect to the Sydney server using Mullvad VPN (also just to connect, turned off while playing). In my experience the xbox app is also using very low bitrate, using edge improves the bitrate but it's unplayable laggy mess, my best experience is using chrome which uses high bitrate, decent latency or even the same as the xbox app, and it runs on 60fps. Also im using cloudflare dns.
Maybe try clean browser install just in case, set the dns, and kill unnecessary process so the cpu can encode/decode better.
I'm using an ASUS RT-AX86U running Asuswrt-Merlin firmware. I don't have any custom routing setup. The only custom firewall rules I have are for blocking various Facebook-affiliated domains for some devices based on IP.
IIRC, I'm using the same router and config now with the HH3K bypassed as I was with PPPoE passthrough when the HH3K was still connected. The only difference between the two setups is that the HH3K is now replaced by a switch with SFP port (serving the same purpose as a media converter). The switch I'm using is the "TRENDnet 4-Port Gigabit Switch with SFP Slot(TEG-S51SFP)" (https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B019IHWSF0).
Sorry, I don't know why it works for me but not you.
You can try touse this app. Serverless Bluetooth Keyboard & Mouse for PC/Phone
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.appground.blek&hl=en_US&gl=US
Its extremly good, but dont work on any phone. Practically turn tour phone into a bluetooth mouse/keyboard by simply connecting to bluetooth. No server needed. Worth every penny!
Yep, Consoles have certain things even windows lacks.
Xbox OS is streamlined and efficient. Tons of CPU/GPU horsepower with the decoders built-in, all dedicated to one single task of streaming.
Xbox Wireless Protocol - it gives near Wired Latencies at 3 ms, compared to 12-18 ms for bluetooth. You can use the Xbox Wireless Adapter to get the Wireless Protocol on PC, assuming you are using a Series controller, not DualSense.
Dynamic Latency Input - basically predictive algorithm that can cut down latency up to 20 ms.
So a combination of a Wired console, DLI, and the Wireless Protocol gives you the best controller latency possible. Every little variable will add its own latency to the overall experience.
What is your ping, highest and lowest to Azure datacenters in your region?
azurespeed.com
When MS switches to HEVC and 4k/60, that's when the consoles hardware decoders will kick into gear.
If xCloud runs well for you, use whatever device you want. If you decide to keep GamePass long term, do take advantage of the conversion.
I would suggest you wait till E3 before any new devices. There was a new OS target datamined, codenamed "keystone" which is very likely for new streaming hardware. So the Stream Box probably isn't far away, I bet they will announce it in June at E3.
It will likely be near $99 with a controller bundled in, would make for a good companion device to the PS5. Or look for Sales on Series S, like Amazon prime day or black friday. It was $249 on Woot last week for amazon prime members.
What kinda hours you put into that kishi?
Mine stopped working breifly but I think that was due to a phone update now. I got a PowerA Moga controller on backup, but havent used it enough to give a good recommendation. It comes with a bunch of power cords, I believe it can direct connect to avoid bluetooth delay & the battery can be used to charge your phone.
Where can I test this? I've tried the Xbox desktop app for Windows, but ... it just doesn't load, I cannot even login into the goddam thing ... In Edge Canary I wasn't able to check this, no option like that.
When using Edge Canary I've monitored my network stats via Wireshark and figured out the server from where I streamed the game (the one with the biggest amount of traffic). Did a traceroute on the address - the stream server doesn't response to ICMP traffic so it's hard to guess the latency from that, but to those server who did respond the average ping latency is 35ms.
This was the server: https://ipinfo.io/13.104.102.4, usually I'm connected to the Netherlands, but quality changes drastically, not sure what does it depends tho'.
I used wireshark (https://www.wireshark.org) to check. I’m no expert, but it showed a lot of UDP traffic to the same IP while using xcloud, and I just looked up those IPs.
Someone else wrote a more detailed explanation here: https://www.reddit.com/r/xcloud/comments/qnurmk/comment/hjj27ro/
For context:
I don't have a console right now, so I rely on xCloud. I have gigabit ethernet over Google Mesh. I regularly have speeds around 480mbps, but if I'm playing over WiFi (even with my device prioritized), I inevitably run into insurmountable amounts of lag due to buffer bloat.
I got the idea to wire my iPad Pro directly to my primary router. Now I'm even able to play multiplayer without any problems, which I wouldn't even have dared to touch before just out of courtesy to other people playing.
This is the Belkin adapter, which has power delivery over USB-C.
I have an IT business and have used this mesh system for myself and probably at least a dozen clients (mix of business and residential). No complaints at all so far, with some in place for almost 2 years.
https://apkpure.com/xbox-game-streaming-preview/com.microsoft.xcloud
I have downloaded the APK to a USB drive and install it to my Sony TV.
It runs but very very slow for some unknown reason.
Possibly slow processor comparing to my Pixel 3 which runs perfectly smooth.
It's really great to know that you used G2A successfully.

Try disabling all accessibility apps/services in Android settings and then reconnect your controller. If it still doesn't work, your device probably doesn't have the necessary keylayout file to correctly recognize your controller inputs. I recommend you download the Gamepad Tester app to check what Android reports to the apps/games when you press the B button and the triggers.
I'm using this one on my ZF3. No lag that I have noticed outside of typical xCloud hiccups.
i3 processor, 8 GB ram, 128 gb NVME ssd storage.
Also consider getting the Xbox Wireless Adapter:
https://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Xbox-Wireless-Adapter-Windows-one/dp/B00ZB7W4QU
I have a similar issue where connection speeds are noticeably slower on Bluestacks thus harming the xCloud streaming. I have done Ookla and fast.com tests on bluestacks vs on the laptop web browser and it's always the case 200 Mbps vs 120 Mbps consistently. I am happy xCloud for PC will come soon, so in the meantine have been using GeforceNOW on PC and xCloud on my phone.
Any CPU made in the last 5+ years will have zero issues decoding an xbox cloud stream. It's a 1080 stream that maxes out at around 15mbps. Hardware AVC/265/264 decoders have been built into CPUs and GPUs for years now. We're not talking about 4k 50mbps streams that require pretty dedicated decoding power. You literally don't even need a dedicated GPU; the on-board GPU in all modern CPUs can handle 265/264/AVC video decode, especially at 1080 low bitrate like xcloud. It's been industry standard for a long time now.
https://parsec.app/blog/what-we-learned-about-cloud-gaming-from-the-stadia-launch-9ca508e530b > h.264 hardware accelerated decoding became standard on most devices in 2012 and 2013 while h.265 hardware accelerated decoding became standard on Nvidia GPUs and iPhones in 2015 and Intel integrated GPUs in 2016. With hardware refresh cycles happening about once every 5 years for computers and once every 3 years for mobile devices, almost every device in circulation in the United States and Europe will have a specialized chip to decode h.265 in 2020 or 2021.
So yeah, if your PC is like 10 years old and/or has an older gen CPU and an even older GPU, then a cutting edge video codec might cause it issues, but I think xcloud (like most other cloud streaming services) is using h264 right now... My 8-year-old gtx 750ti supports hardware h264 decoding.
The biggest bottleneck, and the source of 99% of streaming issues, is internet connection. There's essentially NO buffer. A youtube video can have a buffer up to 30 seconds or more, so internet spikes, lags, etc won't impact playback. Cloud gaming requires an extremely steady/constant internet stream to avoid issues.
This what I got ($45 prime same day delivery): Limited-time deal: Razer Kishi Mobile Game Controller / Gamepad for Android USB-C: Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, xCloud, Stadia, GeForce NOW, Luna - Passthrough Charging - Low Latency Phone Controller Grip - Samsung, Pixel https://www.amazon.com/dp/B086X8DHN2/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_dl_YEN1SSEVHXS4280AAYCM
I tested this beta apk on my phone but I had the same experience with the latest stable apk version. I have a good latency but the visual quality is not the best, I can only get 6Mbps bitrate when on my notebook connected to the same Wi-Fi network I get 15Mbps without problems. Could you install this app and see what bitrate (your download speed) while playing? Just make sure there are no other downloads or data traffic in the background.
I used TunnelBear successfully some weeks ago. You just needed to load the page with games and that was it, once there you could turn off the VPN. Maybe they implemented a new step in the verification process to increase limitation, or maybe your ping is so high that it fails the speed test and it shows that message? There was a post somewhere here with the addresses of the actual xcloud servers, maybe you could ping them to find out the latency. Also, did you try not turning off the VPN just to see if the game will load.
Yes you can run it from a USB without installing it, but your data will not be persistent, to enable persistent data you need to install it to another USB.
This isn't advice on how you should do it, it is just what I done.
I downloaded version 9.0-r2 from here: https://www.fosshub.com/Android-x86.html
To install I used two USB's. I copied the downloaded ISO files to USB-1 (which had been formatted to FAT32). I formatted the other, USB-2, to NTFS. I then booted USB-1 and used the auto installation to install to the location of USB-2.
I first tried manually installing (from the same boot menu on USB-1) to USB-2 and formatting to FAT32 but after install the device would only have 8GB of storage available, most of it already full.
When I selected auto install it would have 64GB available with 34(not sure on the exact number) already used. Which is strange because I was using a 32GB USB.
Never used virtual box ....but Bliss OS has issues with XCloud...however Android x86 works for me. I think the dev of bliss OS once told me the native bridge on Android x86 is different from that of Bliss OS and that maybe the issue.
Android x86 (https://www.android-x86.org/releases.html)

Oh I just remembered Bluestacks and general emulation. What I'm planning to do.
https://www.bluestacks.com/blog/bluestacks-exclusives/xbox-games-pass-bluestacks-xcloud-en.html
That sounds like a lot of effort. Instead I installed the bluestacks android VM and got xCloud running within Windows on my desktop PC in under 5 minutes.
You have to plug the control into the PC. It can't be done wireless at all.
These explains everything.
It’s an app for iOS called Shadow PC. Check it out: https://shadow.tech The only catch is there’s a bug with Xbox Game Pass that prevents the download of several games. There’s a workaround here on Reddit but it’s a royal pain. I expect Microsoft will fix the issue after which this is golden. I’ve been playing Steam games for weeks and it works great.
Yes, but don't you think this distinction is very... bureaucratic ? Streaming apps like Shadow PC or rainway allow you to play any game existing on steam... but xcloud should be blocked because each game must be checked ?
It makes no sense.
Winscribe (10 free locations), Proton (3 free locations) or TunnelBear (lots of region options here in the free Tier even)
You mainly need the VPN to just open the site. Turn off the VPN before playing. So the VPN free data limit doesn't matter.
Choose the VPN region nearest you you which is an Xcloud region.
By the way since I don't like VPNs etc running, and even extensions installed on my regular browser...I did a Setup in my non primary Opera Browser + Free TunnelBear VPN which allows locations like Japan or Korea which are geographically closer + an automatic user agent switcher depending on the website + Ublock Origin confogired to remove the UI overlays on the top left. It's almost seamless now except a click to turn on the VPN before visiting the Xbox box website and turn off VPN before hitting play.
8bitdo SN30Pro Plus with the official phone mount. I love mine
It also works great as a Switch Pro controller, be it on Switch or PC (it has both xInput and Pro Controller modes built in)
https://www.amazon.com/8Bitdo-Sn30-Pro-Bluetooth-Gamepad-mac/dp/B07T8JKVNT/
https://www.amazon.com/8Bitdo-Smartphone-Bluetooth-Gamepad-Black-pc/dp/B07VGHS48G
You can also get the Pro 2 (it has physical mode switch instead of a key combo) but I can't find a phone clip for it on Amazon
https://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Xbox-Wireless-Adapter-Windows-one/dp/B00ZB7W4QU
You don't need it, but it's better to have it. The Xbox Wireless adapters use the Xbox Wireless Protocol, which is what the Consoles use when connecting to the controllers. That protocol is superior to bluetooth, and also helps reduce latency vs using bluetooth.
I found that the pixelation occurs when you have high latency, it's probably to do with either your distance to Microsoft servers or more likely the route it takes, and that is more dependent on you ISP than nothing, I've found that using a VPN in those cases might help, I've been recommending Warp, because it's worked for me, but you could try other VPNs, I also like Speedify, because it has a network monitor but the servers are not as reliable.
Yes. xbox.com/play
But I don't recommend it on mobile, it has more input lag.
If you are on android, download the gamepass app, not the xbox app.
Depends on how far are you from a supported country. If you are around 1000km away, it might work.
But still, it's hard to recommend. I've been using xcloud with a vpn on and off for the past year. Sometimes the experience is great, other times you are going to have to tinker with it.
You can try several free vpns to see if it works for you. For me, it used to be necessary to have the vpn running only for the country check when opening the app or browser, and worked great. But lately I get lag spikes and stutters without an active vpn.
So, if you need an active vpn, it needs to be an extremely stable one. The only free one I've tried that can get a stable server is Proton, but you need to sit there connecting, do a networks test and disconnect; rinse and repeat until you find one without packet loss and good ping.
If you want a cheap but somewhat decent one. I use Speedify, but I still had to tinker with the settings to get the most stable connection. If you get to the point of messing with the settings, PM me for details.
Disagree completely OP. The design makes a lot of sense. First off we know it isn't going to be round, unless it's a sphere like the Xbox logo, but much more likely to be rectangular as to look like a tiny box.
Ethernet port is critical to this for better streaming, and that won't fit into a smaller stick.
This design language and size is very much in line with the new MS Surface Dock 2.
https://www.amazon.com/NEW-Microsoft-Surface-Dock-2/dp/B086Q92563
> Connect via Bluetooth and USB – Compatible with select Windows PC, Mac, phone, and tablet games outside of Luna.
https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Luna-Controller/dp/B07P989QTJ
Luna controller should work.
NordVPN. My connection is 100/100, but that's not the important part. It's always the latency that's important. For best results use Ethernet, and if you're on a mobile device use 5GHZ Wifi. 2.4 is just not good for streaming.
I'm not for Turkey but from the middle east and I can play both xCloud and Stadia with a VPN.
Works great, can't wait for the xCloud invitation to test it on the browser.
After trying both ExpressVPN and NordVPN with no luck, I'm using which works great.
8Bitdo makes an Android xCloud controller with a phone clip that is around $45 (link below to the Amazon listing). I haven't used this specific controller, but I have owned a number of their other controllers for various consoles and anyways found the responsive and well built. The reviews make it clear though that while this controller works best for xCloud on an Android device, it does not play nicely with PCs or other devices. But, if this is for your Android phone only, I might give this a whirl.
Link to the controller on Amazon
The other thing you could do is repurpose a controller you already have that might work. For example, I'm currently using a wired-in Stadia controller to play xCloud on my Android phone & tablet and have had no issues.
There is this: https://hopongaming.com
And I ordered this but found out it didn’t work with iOS once it arrived, might be okay on android: https://www.amazon.com/PG-9167-Controller-Operated-Connection-Directly/dp/B0823SY758/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=iPega+PG-9167&qid=1608565154&sr=8-4
Have you tried IPVanish? In the US my ISP throttles. I couldn't even play my Founders edition until 7 months ago when I got my IPVanish subscription. I would look into throttling. As of late, both my ISP & Cell provider have stopped throttling Stadia and started Throttling XCloud. XCloud at beta release even worked on my 4G. Now it's a pos. IPVanish helps but it's still choppy at times though I'm in the US. Maybe look into finding out if you're being throttled or not. As much as I hate politics the repeal of net neutrality laws really screwed consumers. If you're in the US, your ISP will never tell you nor will the average support agent or even manager have access to the information. The burden of paying for faster speeds relies on the ISP. No matter your speeds you pay for (I play effortlessly at 23mbps) companies have to pay each ISP separately in order to speed their users connection to their websites. It's a big fuck you to consumers, but I expect for this to be overturned/repealed via executive order within the next four years.
Ah spewing. I didn't realise the app was still in beta.
This is it on the play store if you wanted to get it and try log in anyway. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.xcloud
I've been pretty happy with its performance so far. I used it to play destiny 2 while I was away list weekend. There's a slight input delay but I had adjusted to it within a few minutes.
You should be able to still use remote streaming through the normal xbox app for your own console though.
I personally haven't used it too much but I gave it a whirl the other day and found it surprisingly good as good if not better than xcloud and I only have a 50/20 plan. Fttp though.
TRY A DIFFERENT CABLE!
I had a Razor Raiju controller - it includes a usb c to usb c cable, that device and cable pair works great with my android phone.
Got an Xbox Elite Series 2 controller as a gift, plugged it into phone using the same cable that came with the Raiju - didn't work.
Had another USB cable, higher quality - 3.1 - the phone found the controller and it worked. I had no idea that there was so much variation in USB C quality. There's a lot of junk cables out there and I am not sure of the right 'buzzword' to guarantee that it would work.
Cable I used: (has all the buzzwords)

Edit: and of course make sure your controller firmware is updated too
Looks cool I use the Gamesir X2 its cheaper then this and I really like it.
I agree Samsung Dex works great with Xcloud
I picked up a cheap Samsung S20 FE 5G for $300 (US) and it supports both wired and wireless Dex.
I use an HDMI wired connection using a USB C to HDMI Multiport Adapter. As well as the HDMI out it includes a PD Charging Port and USB 3.0 port.

It allows me to connect to my 42 inch TV (I get 1080p at 60Hz via the HDMI), keep my phone charged and connect my wireless Logitech keyboard and mouse (via the USB port)!
So, I did tried XCloud via a chinese connection and the results were not good, as expected:

I've tried it two environment
Android tablet with Astrill VPN (the best in china) on wifi and 4G
Android emulated on a windows machine connected via ethernet with astrill VPN .
I'm getting a resolution equivalent to 144p and a controller latency of 1000-1500 ms, which makes the thing unplayable, this was to be expected since some people are having issues with US connections.
I think there is a chance to enjoy Xcloud once chinese game oriented VPN start showing up for xcloud, these game optimized VPN are very efficient for online gaming here (such as UU for the ones who know) . Since xCloud is still in beta, I believe we have to some more to see those.
I know that Tencent will release an equivalent to xCloud but i'm definitely not looking forward to this since it will have to be government approved version of games, without certain chapters / blood / or other artifacts

Since I have the full month to test Xcloud, I will keep doing more test, especially with 5G connection, since the city where I am at (Guangzhou) is fully covered by 5G antennas. Will keep you posted!
Drone pilots often want a tablet screen. So they already have these.

This is the one I have. I only use the connector and zip-tie it to the Moga. It works and cost me $15
Oh nice
Also, is this the app I gotta use?
Sorry if is a stupid question, I'm still figuring how this works
I am having the same problem. I'm using an Xbox One X controller (Project Scorpio branding, model number 1708), and Android 11.
In the Game Pass app, I'm able to navigate the menus and choose games using the D-pad or the thumbstick, but they're not recognized by the game itself. If I hit the center logo button while a game is running, a "Stop Playing" or "Never Mind" menu comes up over the game, and I'm able to use the controller to choose between them. Choosing "Never Mind" returns to the game without the controls being recognized anymore.
Also, I've downloaded the Xbox Beta that came out today that allows an Xbox One owner to stream their box on the same network to an Android device. Using the D-pad or a thumbstick in the app at all crashes the app.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.xcloud&hl=en ? it does for stremaing from your consle. have you tried? :DDD
Having only owned Android phones, I'm not sure what the exact differences are but I'd recommend exploring different launchers. They open up a lot of different customization options - I use Nova Launcher for the icon, widget, gesture and grid positioning options.
You might be able to google "setup android like iphone" and see if anyone has found a fix for specific features you're missing!
I use an app called "Send file to TV" both on phone and Mi Stick for file transfer. You need to sideload Game Pass Beta apk. https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/microsoft-corporation/xbox-game-pass-beta/
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yablio.sendfilestotv
On Mi Stick you need to install any file manager
What's the difference between game pass and xcloud app? Did you test the xcloud app beta? Where you can play from the cloud without a console? This I mean https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.xcloud
Short answer is not right now since you can't be logged into both devices at the same time, per the above source. But as mentioned in another reply, you're not using the right Xbox app on your phone. The one you're currently using is for streaming from your Xbox to another device, but what you're looking for is xcloud which is currently part of the Game Pass App.
It’s on the Play Store, Xbox Game Streaming

No, I think the 8bitdo app turns your phone into a controller? The one I used is here.
Edit: I should mention that I returned the 8bitdo and remapped the wonky DS4 controls entirely.

You mean this app? Isn't this just a VPN? Are you using their Warp+ premium service?
I'm wondering if that targets different servers. I've noticed that I get a drastically different experience depending on if I use a VPN to different regions of the country. I tested using several areas through NordVPN.
No VPN = unplayable (Ohio)
Chicago, NYC are bad
Charlotte, Atlanta and St Louis were pretty stable. I would still get a little hitching, but that's to be expected over a VPN.
My guess is that Microsoft isn't routing to servers on best speed, just geography. That might corroborate with your Cell working better as I know that often my 4g lte "server" isn't anywhere near my geographic location.
Hey there! While ProtonVPN is a great and trusted provider, I'd like to point out that it is not the only one with unlimited traffic on its free option. ;)
The solution mentioned will work with most VPN providers as it is related to the interaction itself and not so much to the VPN connection. Altering your DNS servers addresses can also help if you are on a Wi-Fi network.
I do not have a VPN running on that laptop. I'm in the US and I'm only using it for xCloud right now so there's no real need. I wonder if you can spoof an IP if xCloud is not technically available in your country? I subscribe to Private Internet Access for the stuff I do use a VPN for, if that's what you are asking. They say they don't keep any records of my activity at all. That is my only real metric when choosing a VPN but I haven't shopped for one in 5 or 6 years, PIA has been doing a good job for me as far as I can tell. You may have already seen that I posted a more in depth piece about this but I'm using Rotation Control from the Play Store. The free version is working fine for me.
I dont really recommend a free VPNs generally. They are basically B****sh**. You could however a 7 day trial with Ivacy. Been using it for some time now. The 1 year plan is super cheap too. It's always your call in the end but please don't go for those free ones mate.
Has someone mentioned earlier the new Chromecast TV works, but you have to jump through a few hoops to get it to work.
I did see on a different post that many of the cheap Android TV devices also work but I have no experience with it. For example https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GPCJSRR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GPCJSRR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
comes with play store preinstalled so you don't have to do any of that nonsense in OP's post.
if you want/need a chromecast buy that.
if you want a cheap xcloud client, buy this instead : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GPCJSRR
comes with wired ethernet in the box.
sorry for the late reply but yes!
It seems to meld perfectly with the rubberized texture of spigen and the kishi holder without the bumpers inside the kishi. I ordered a clip for my xbox controller, thinking I may be able to use a usbc to - female usb dongle that came with one of my phones to hook up xbox bluetooth controller to the phone for minimal input lag, but I havent been able to yet(only tried a few minutes befoe heading to work)

but Yes a long yes!

she sent me a link

For a cheaper option than the Kishi, I'm using one of these with a controller clip, it's just long enough with my phone but could definitely be an inch or two longer to really be perfect and may not work if your phone is super large (I'm using a Pixel 3a fwiw): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LONQ7R6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 - I don't notice any input lag, but I'm also not very sensitive to it and most of the types of games I play aren't reflex games.
I don't think it needs to be OTG (at least no mention of it on the one I got). I'm using this and it works great: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LONQ7R6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 - though it could be about an inch or two longer, might be difficult to get it to work with your controller/phone attachment depending on how big your phone is.
I used a magnetic mount attached to the clip. Use something like this. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075FS5B25/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_9?smid=AXQIDIXAA4G3A&psc=1. The weight is not as bad as I thought it would be. You get use to it pretty quickly.
Razer Kishi Controller for Android used for Xbox gamepass. It's fairly new and made specifically for android phones when you want to play xcloud. Plus it plugs into your phone's usb-c so that you don't have to use bluetooth. Personally, I am thinking of getting one. It is fairly expensive, though. But it seems worth it. Here is a link..
https://www.amazon.com/Razer-Kishi-Controller-Android-Passthrough-Thumbsticks/dp/B08D5DRBXQ?th=1
I'm using xcloud on a Samsung A20 with an Xbox one s controller and I get input lag on every game with a Bluetooth connection. I saw on a other thread someone suggested connecting the controller with a micro-USBc to Micro-B cable, it's $7 for a 6 inch one, I've ordered one to see if I get a better experience.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LONQ7R6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_imHEFbH2R3D49
Yeah, there's some like Belkin's that do passthrough charging. And like you say, a dongle doesn't need Power Delivery, look at how a Raspberry Pi 4B+ is all 5V still.
And yeah Google has already made ethernet adapters for older Chromecasts, so they'll probably make one for the Ultra too.
I ordered this craptastic android TV box - will let you guys know if it works...

Gonna go with this thanks to your comment about cheaper options. Thx https://www.amazon.com/Android-Quad-Core-Cortex-A53-Support-Bluetooth/dp/B089ZWKLNC/ref=mp_s_a_1_10?dchild=1&keywords=android+tv+box&qid=1600290260&sprefix=android+tv+&sr=8-10
