Hi everyone! As you can read in the Tweet, we always promised that we are strong believers in users being the rightful owner of his or her data. As well as the fact that the user should be in full control of her or his data.
We hadn't fully lived up to that promise so far, but now we're actually quite proud we have this functionality. Not hidden behind a paywall, not hidden behind a support ticket. No, free for every user with no strings attached.
Yes, this means that it's easier for users to move to competitors and don't have them 'locked in'. But that's the point. Our goal is to create the best portfolio tracker application in a way that users don't want to leave. And if they do, they should be able to.
As a last remark. You might notice we also have a CSV Import feature. Don't get overly excited yet. While we do offer import via CSV, for now it's only our own Delta CSV format that we accept. Specific exchange CSV's are coming in the coming weeks. But via the current system it's already possible to move data to Delta from exchanges or other platforms if you want to do the effort of making sure it fits the CSV format we expect.
Enjoy & as always, looking forward to your feedback!
The Delta Team

PS: The functionality is available on desktop. If you have the app open on desktop, relaunch it to make the feature pop-up under Settings. If you don't have the app yet -> https://getdelta.io
As the title suggest, a friend and myself have been working hard on Delta, a cryptocoin portfolio manager so you can easily keep track of all your trading activity. :)
It's quite similar to Blockfolio but since we used BF a lot ourselves, we thought it could be improved. So here is our first try. We'll continue adding features of course. Highlights are probably that you can keep track of ICO's that aren't one exchanges yet. As well as 'Deduct/Add from holdings'.
You can download it for free straight away via https://getdelta.io
Looking forward to your feedback! We know some stuff is still missing but we're super motivated to add a lot of extra features in the coming weeks and months.

Hi guys, this is Bobby, co-founder of CoinGecko. Reading the kind words that you say here mean a lot to us. It's people like you who keep us motivated to continue working hard at this. Thank you for your continuous support. We do our best. Should you have any suggestions on how we can improve, feel free to drop us an email anytime at .
Great community you guys have build up here at Blackcoin. Keep up the great work and we are monitoring your progress and hoping for the best for you folks! :)

Bitcoin is the standard. Litecoin, Dogecoin, etc. are starting to be accepted in some places, but they haven't caught on the same way Bitcoin has yet. In the future, who knows? I'm a pretty big believer in Dogecoin because it has a large community that's working hard on new projects, advertisement, etc. A lot of people are investing in new coins, too, hoping they'll be the big thing someday.
This site will give you an idea of how powerful each coin is right now based on market cap.
This site is an attempt to estimate the overall ranking of coins based on several different factors.

That is correct. You'll likely need some software to crunch the numbers for you like cointracking.info or bitcoin.tax unless you keep up with all your trades in a spreadsheet. I use cointracking to keep up with all trades and create my 8949 forms. Have had no issues handing those generated forms to my CPA for taxes.

Think of it like this: buy 1LTC and before you convert it for ETH, LTC gains 2% - so when you trade that LTC for ETH you have to pay the short term capital gains tax on that 2% gain from LTC or long term gains if you owned that LTC from a year prior. The opposite is true if you have a negative gain.
Hi guys, Bobby from CoinGecko here. There was a small bug in our liquidity index. We are introducing BTC38 trading volume data for DOGE/BTC and DOGE/CNY trade as many shibes have pointed out that BTC38 is an important exchange in China. Unfortunately we made a small miscalculation there resulting in a huge trading volume for DOGE and other coins trading on BTC38. We have temporarily removed BTC38 from our trading volume and liquidity index and will reintroduce it soon once we fixed this problem. Here is the list of exchanges making up our total trading volume: https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/dogecoin/trading_exchanges
Thank you for understanding and sorry for the confusion.
Hi Gmoney2015, the current data that you see on CoinGecko is ready for your usage. We are still in Beta because we still have many many more metrics that we want too and of course more coins to add to our list. We are tracking 32 coins atm and growing our list by a few coins each week! Look out for more interesting metrics that we will add in the coming weeks :)
Hi everyone, Nicolas here, co-creator of Delta (https://getdelta.io). This is very obviously a way to promote the app that I've been working on myself, but also wanted to grab this opportunity to let everyone know that they can reply to this message if they'd have any Delta related questions. I'll happily answer! :)
Before everyone asks: yes, desktop is coming soon! :) And yes, we'll allow for syncing in between devices. And no, you won't need an account for that. ;)
Hi! Nicolas, co-creator of Delta here! I think our app might right up your alley. :) You can download it via https://getdelta.io and if there's anything that you find confusing or want extra, feel free to mail us via or talk to us via Slack or Telegram. Links are in the Settings part of the app. :)

Yeah I know of this, but it's not really a wallet tracker. I guess what I'm looking for is a consolidated algo ecosystem tracker, like coinstats.app where I can add various wallets/apps (algo wallet, yieldly, tinyman, etc) and it keeps everything in one place.
>KOGS slam just launched..
So I checked this out and it also has a crypto coin associated with it...at least in my quick investigation. Might be worth getting some. 0.03c
Hi guys, Bobby from CoinGecko here. Yes we do value new commits in the last 4 weeks pretty highly. Dogecoin is still doing well so nothing much to worry here. The dev score will increase automatically when the devs commit again in the coming weeks :)
Hi guys, I'm Bobby, the co-founder of CoinGecko. Liking the discussion that you guys are having over here. We are listening to your feedback and refining our way of ranking cryptocurrencies.
Our main objective is to give a 360 degree overview of cryptocurrencies. We use metrics that can be fair to all coins. Blackcoin is doing well - I'm happy to see it hitting the top 10 once again. Keep up the great work that you guys are doing here. We are following your progress and are rooting for your success!
How safe would it be to install the desktop app of delta on my pc?
I'm on linux, I use ledgers and don't usually use private keys on my pc- if that makes a difference.
from the website:
> Bitcoin, ICO & Cryptocurrency Portfolio Delta is the ultimate cryptocurrency portfolio tracker tool for iOS & Android. Manage all your cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and over 2000 alt coins.
source + direct download links for App Store and Google Play
I use Binance's iOS app(Don't have a link, you can get it by accessing Binance on your mobile browser) for making trades and https://getdelta.io/ as my portfolio. Delta's interface is much better than blockfolio's IMO.
You can select 'Total' instead of the buy price 'per coin' and enter a ballpark Buy Price (or 0). For the exchange, I'd select the one where you'd go if you ever decided to sell.
It's a bit more work, but it will be worth it. Trust me. ;)
Yeah Blockfolio is pretty shithouse. It is reliable for alerts but they have a terrible method for weighting cryptos and converting to fiat. They literally change past performance / prices based on current BTC prices for the past 24 hrs at a minimum, but I suspect several days. I've seen countless cases of a coins stats (current price, low and high) change 10-30% in a few hours because the BTC price surged that day.
I'm currently testing https://getdelta.io/ and it appears to be a solid replacement, especially if you like to track based on fiat / averages, instead of another volatile crypto. They should have a desktop app out in Jan and the devs stated plans in the telegram chat seem very promising.
Good to know this is something users want. We're working on the desktop version for https://getdelta.io (∆ Delta is only on iOS & Android at the moment) but having a tax layer to it, would probably be useful for you guys. :)
Consider it noted!
Going to be honest, this is a cheap way to self-promote a bit.
But truth be told: another good reason to switch over to ∆ Delta (https://getdelta.io)
Which was also posted about on this subreddit btw :)
I don't know if the website is available in english, but the software is fully translated. It keeps track of all taxes, dividends, outflows, inflows, historical stock data etc. http://www.portfolio-performance.info/portfolio/
du kannst die history auf den krypto börsen auf denen du deine kryptos gehandelt hast runterladen und eine Steuerübersicht über cointracking.info kostenlos erstellen lassen. Die gebe ich persönlich immer bei meiner Steuererklärung an.
We have some fantastic news!!
AQUA has been officially added to CoinGecko 🦎
You can now discover everything Aquarius, from social channels to Circulating Supply & Market Cap.
Don't forget, click the ⭐ to favorite and add ♒ AQUA to your portfolio.
I wasn't sure either so I exported my transactions to cointracking.com to see what their algorithm did. On cointracking.com they treat both the sign up bonus and the cash back MCO as income similar to a coinsplit.
I don't know if that is the opinion of the ATO though. They probably don't have a specific policy yet.
cointracking.com? That's what I use for my taxes. With the paid account you can use the API of the major exchanges, to automatically import your trades. It still needs a bit of manual fiddling around but I suppose that's the same with other solutions, too.
> said every BTC holder/maxi
Look at the charts. Any BTC pairing from the last two years and don't give me that maxi nonsense.
>Unlike BTC, some coins do slowly upgrade their capibilities/tech. I've been disappointed in Iota and its coordinator still being around, but they might actually figure it out at some point.
So why is Bitcoin top here?

Hi SuperLeroy, Bobby from CoinGecko here. Actually I would like to inform that Developer and Community has equal weights on CoinGecko.
The reason why LTC was behind DOGE on our site for a long time was because previously we did not incorporate market capitalization onto our algorithm. /u/coblee was the one who asked us to incorporate market cap into our algorithm (we should be thankful for that!) and we are glad that we did it because now LTC is putting on a good fight for the #2 position.
Hi mate, sorry for the late reply. I just saw this. This is Bobby from CoinGecko. Great to see so much debate going on here on Dogecoin's score on CoinGecko.
I have checked things over here. Dogecoin development is still relatively active though it has certainly fallen down the rank to #6 behind Bitcoin, Ripple, Litecoin, Counterparty and Maidsafecoin. It is indeed true that the total commits in the last 4 weeks weigh rather heavily for our algorithm and there does not seem to be that many commits on Github in the last one month.
I'm sure when the Dogecoin deves start pushing out more code on Github again, the developer score and rank will rise soon enough so don't worry too much. Dogecoin is still doing pretty well! :)
Hi Jools1802, I'm Bobby, the co-founder of CoinGecko. I just saw this post. Here's an answer to your question on how often the chart is updated:
We use automated bots to collect data everyday with frequency of data collection ranging from every few minutes to once a day. The chart on the main page is updated once every hour while the Dogecoin price chart is updated every few minutes. Hope this answers your question.
+/u/dogetipbot 100 doge verify
That's a lot of potential scenarios you have there in your post! I think many of the cryptocurrencies will die off leaving only a few strong ones to survive. CoinGecko has some interesting stats on all the various cryptocurrencies in the market and how they fare against each other.
We do support BTC-USD price. On the main chart, at the top left, there is a currency switcher you can use. or on the price chart page ie. http://coingecko.com/price_charts/bitcoin/usd you could switch between different national currencies if you like to
Is that what you are looking for? Or is there a different BTC-USD price that you are thinking of?
+/u/blacktips 0.5671 BC
Hi /u/Tigerpanda2010 , we do support converting the price into national currency
Above the chart on the left, there is a currency switcher that you can use to flip the price and market cap into the currency of your choice. Your browser will also remember it.
We also have price graph for various national currencies like USD, EUR, and so on.. http://coingecko.com/price_charts/blackcoin/usd http://coingecko.com/price_charts/blackcoin/eur
Hope that helps, and do let me know if it appears confusing or obscure.

You can try this app too Delta is the ultimate cryptocurrency portfolio tracker tool for iOS & Android. Manage all your cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and over 2000 alt coins. https://getdelta.io
Very reliable. A lot better UI and UX wise than Blockfolio. Has every single coin I’ve searched for and the developers are amazing.
Here’s their medium blog so you can see what they’ve been adding and are planning to add in the future: https://medium.com/getdelta
You can download the app at: https://getdelta.io
(I’m not connected with the devs/company in any way, I just really like the app and recommend it to everyone, it’s super addicting)
Also: no ads, no agressive subscription model pushing!!
You can type in the amount of each crypto you have into a portfolio application and that will give you a total USD value in real time. I would suggest Delta.
You won't be using your public keys, so it will require manual updating (which might be too much work depending on your trade volume). I enjoy that though, as it serves as a kind of digital investment journal.
All of your suggestions are planned and I have a pretty good feeling that it won't like half a year for us to get us.
Will depend on our hiring a bit too. We're looking for two extra developers (https://getdelta.io/jobs). :)
Yeah Blockfolio is a real pain in the ass. I recently switched to https://getdelta.io/ It doesn't only look better, it also works better! (Although sometimes it's better to see your portfolio with old Blockfolio data :D )
Hey, on of the people behind Delta here. We're available on both iOS and Android, follow the download links via https://getdelta.io/. :)
Please feel free to reach out to us at any time with suggestions and ideas, we would love to hear your feedback.

Hi there OP! Nicolas here, co-creator of Delta (https://getdelta.io).
Just wanted to let you know that our next update (1.3) will have support for transaction fees. You'll also be able to update previous entered transactions if you'd want to do that.
Our update is now waiting for review at Apple, so it could go live any minute now. That's what we hope at least. :)
I've been using it for a while now on iOS and it's really well designed app.
I've noticed a few small bugs, like PIVX constantly being on 8,42% in my watchlist (this might happen for other coins as well but I didn't test it).
I also see on https://getdelta.io that you could see a chart on the cards of your holdings. This is an awesome feature, why was this removed in the newer versions?
I recently switched to Blockfolio again because of that issue with PIVX. I'm not sure if I can trust the information given by the application, hence switching back to Blockfolio. I hope this will be resolved soon because I want to switch back to Delta again! I'll try reinstalling the app, see if something maybe messed up the app during the update.

To convince people to switch from Blockfolio, making Delta two times better isn't enough. It needs to be ten times better. So we'll do our absolute best to get there. :)
