I Use Blue mail, and honestly love it.
I stumbled upon it while searching for a new app after cloudmagic shit the bed, it has the most customization out of any email app I've ever used(You can change everything from the menus to the quick actions to the interface color, size, style ect), I honestly wish I found it earlier. It's Amazing.
I love BlueMail. It's smooth, has all the features I want in an email client, and is compatible with Google, Yahoo, Exchange/O365, Aol, iCloud, and standard POP3/IMAP accounts. It has a dark mode, a unified inbox, and individual notification settings for each account you add.
Best of all, it's free!
You sure? I have one called Email on mine. H930DS. Check Settings app if maybe you disabled it unintentionally.
Otherwise I would recommend Blue Mail: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=me.bluemail.mail
I switched over to Blue Mail, since Altomail did shutdown already.
I also installed Astro Mail this month and just waiting for them to support Yahoo! Mail, then I will switch over completely to this.
FYI, Typeapp is clearly the same app as Blue Mail, listed under a different developer. Even the descriptions are similar. In reality must be the same developer and it is a bit shady.
+1 for this. Got it 2 weeks ago and really dig it. It's replacing Newton which was the best, but they are shutting down the app sometime this month or next.

I use Blue Mail - free, no ads, unlimited accounts. Very intuitive, and with Material design. Also supports aliases in Gmail, which Gmail does not.
Yeah it sucks that Google has to not include features that seem quite important.
Sorry, this is likely not something you'd want to do, but I just love the BlueMail app. It has dark theme and a select all button. It's also free and ad-free. Showed someone else the app and they preferred it over Gmail as well.

I have heard good things about Blue Mail, but have never tried it personally.

I have my main mail account with Yahoo and my secondary with GMail. Both mailboxes are merged seamlessly in the tool.
I am using Blue Mail. It is working perfectly fine for me. It has inbuilt lock for the application. The email sync is very good. You could give it a try.
I'd say try out an app like Blue Mail it brings up the keyboard as soon as you hit reply, also has some quick reply options. You're right though, Samsung's stock email app sucks and there's no option to make it do what you're looking for.
I use an email client called Bluemail that has this option plus more robust imo then the stock Samsung email client.
As far as the email texts, does it show the recipient for the sms emails?

TypeApp (some say its Bluemail clone)
Fair Mail https://email.faircode.eu/ , Spark, Type Mail, K9 Mail, Blue Mail https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=me.bluemail.mail are all good selections. I have not tried any of these so A few Questions about the choices. When you set up more than one email account, does it tell you what account the email came in on, or is it a bulk inbox? Memory usage is low? I have more than one Hotmail account. Will any of these choices only allow one hotmail account? Thanks in advance.
'Blue Mail' is a good email client for Android which is 100% free and ad free. Download link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=me.bluemail.mail

I use it for all of my school and work emails. I love it.
I use mailspring, I love its interface and you can add as many accounts as you need for free. It offers a unified view, read receipts and it also syncs with your Gmail tags.

As for Android, a great app is BlueMail, it's feature rich and supports multiple accounts from multiple providers. It also has a unified view and the ability to snooze emails which comes in very handy when you can't reply in the moment.

Blue Mail has been my (mulltiple account) mail app for some time now. Great free app.
Bluemail? It doesn't do calendar unless you specifically enable it.
I use BlueMail and have been pretty happy with it. Its best feature is that it has a "mark read" option on the push notification.
Been using Blue mail for awhile. One place for gmail, Yahoo, hotmail and work emails.
How about BlueMail
Bluemail is awesome for Android Wear! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=me.bluemail.mail
Currently using Bluemail, it has a unified option for all your accounts. Ad free, its free itself and has very intuitive UI.
So weird. I switched to this, has better Android Wear integration anyway.

I was having the same issue with Gmail and Inbox not sending notifications. It has to do with app and battery optimization. I couldn't figure out how to fix it, but Blue Mail notifies me just fine.
I love Blue Mail and have been using it for a long time. Plus they have a dark mode (way before Gmail)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=me.bluemail.mail
It's why I switched to Blue Mail.
I really like Blue. Check it out, lots of options to play with too.
I'm currently using Blue Mail
Bluemail works great for me.
I dont even use gmail anymore for notifications after switching to bluemail 3 months ago. Always get it instant across 3 accounts https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=me.bluemail.mail&hl=en_US
