but that's way too much work when compared to package disabler
Also, I just searched for package disabler on Playstore and it is there

plugin method is outdated, you have to use this version now:

mail them for a coupon if you purchased the app previously.
That doesn't show up in the app store for me, but there are other apps with that same name by (AFAICT) the same developer?

i use it to eliminate any apps or services that i dont want to run.
if you want a facebook app. Metal for Facebook is the way to go IMO.
Samsung keeps tweaking KNOX which breaks these apps.
I can confirm that this one works with the latest leaked S7E Oreo build. I just purchased and installed about a hour ago. I was a BK user and it kept getting stuck while attempting to get a SDK license.

Install non-Samsung alternatives and see what you like better. I personally really like Samsung's email app due to its simplicity.
Without rooting, the closest you'll come is to disable the packages using Package Disabler Pro.

aussie here , sorry mate
Can I play Google Cardboard content on it? Yes you can .
Download Package Disabler on the Google Play Store. I recommend getting the $1.50 pro version to support the developers but the free version works fine. Open Package Disabler. Scroll down and check the box for “Gear VR Service” Now you are good to go! Open any Google Cardboard app. Watch any YouTube360 video. Play any Google Cardboard game. (don't forget to enable Gear vr Service when you want to go back to Oculus home)
Looks like PDP by the original dev OSPolice is up again, but it costs less and you don't have access to download it if you've purchased the version before the take down.

Disabling every Google Play service you can disable is a good start. Samsung doesn't make it too difficult.
There's also a ~$1 app-disabling app that'll allow you to disable core services which only works on Samsung devices through Knox. If anything is left over after your initial bloatware purge, you may want to check it out.

I'd say the dumbphone is better, except you can't run Signal on it out of the box so your text messages and calls cannot be encrypted at all.
Unfortunately there aren't very many good solutions for stripping down a smartphone that you can't root or install a custom ROM on.
I use Package Disabler Pro on my S6 Edge +, it made my battery life go from barely tolerable to pretty damn good. I was new to Android when I got it and it'll be going on my next phone too. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ospolice.packagedisablerpremium&hl=en_CA
It allows you to disable anything so be careful. Stick to gear vr services and the bloatware auto option if you want. Not sure if will help your issue but it fixes many others. It lets you use android Google play apps etc.
Ps what was this streets name...'desire'? ;)
Yes...use package disabler pro but its a pay app though worth it...until samsung stop it again lol
Tell it to disable all bloat ware if you want but def search for gear vr services.
Tick it and then it will allow all google apps to work without oculus store.
You need to unclick to use oculus again.
Use at own risk :)
I'm so frustrated trying to go with adhell 2 adhell 3 not SABS, i've tried with android studio, then with manual mode chaging the package name, got my know legacy key and i'm tempted to go with the nivron option to buy another app to do that. EDIT: Nivron way o buying an app worked https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ospolice.packagedisablerpremium
Use a package disabler app and it will hide and disable the applications from showing up in the drawer. No root needed

This is the one I use for my spring GS6
The original one was taken down, but the same company released this new version
You can get a refund of the old version, and both are the same exact thing.
Then what's the difference between that and this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ospolice.packagedisablerpremium
Seems to be by the same people, I'm just wondering what the extra 26 cents gets me.
It looks like OSPolice, the original dev of Package Disabler Pro, has put up a new version of the app. If you purchased the original send an email to the dev at the bottom of the app store page and send them your order number from the previous version.

PDP seems to be back:

Note they'll refund the second purchase apparently.
I use package diabler pro - it shows up on the US app store.
For bloatware: I use this. It disables bloatware without root or battery drain. IDK how, but it works.

This is the original one from the Play Store before all the clones came up although it's a paid one.
Looks like the dev for PDP made another account under "PoliceDeveloper" to re-upload it https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ospolice.packagedisablerpremium
Not the BK version but Package Disabler Pro works fine for me.
This man who create this thread is fake, He lie, don't trust this guy He is not OSPolice company, PDP was suspended by Google for some reason, I don't know why, only OS Police developer know This is the new link of PACKAGE DISABLER PRO, he upload it again https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ospolice.packagedisablerpremium
