just throwing it out there, this one allows you to change framerate, bitrate and has no ads (the superpopular AZ Screen Recorder has 60fps locked behind an IAP if I remember correctly), and is FOSS.

No, use this instead:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.orpheusdroid.screenrecorder
This is open source. Might lack a few features, but you will have peace of mind from malware. Do audit the code if you know how to read code.
It's:
Open Source
Free
No ads
Can work without root
Can choose different resolutions/bitrate/fps
Can record audio from mic
Additionally has option to record internal audio with help of root or magisk module
If you're rooted, I'd recommend this. However, my problem with it is, you can't hear anything while it records. But otherwise, it does it's job. If anyone else can offer an alternative, it'd help me as well.
A) Yes, you can record internal audio after rooting your phone. After rooting (using magisk) you can install ScreenCam Screen Recorder and follow the guide the app provides to record internal audio. In my case after above steps even my daily use Screen Recorder by kimcy929 was able to record internal audio too.
B) Check rooting guide for your phone on XDA. Just Google "Root <Your phone name> XDA" or something like that.
But rooting only for recording internal audio seems not a good option.
It's free, open sourced, works great (at least for me) and has a quick settings tile.
AZ has got a lot of options locked behind a paywall. try ScreenCam or Screen Recorder - no ads, both can use mic the same way AZ does.
Firefox 64 on Android, right? Any chance you could post a screencast?
I use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.orpheusdroid.screenrecorder (also on F-Droid https://f-droid.org/en/packages/com.orpheusdroid.screenrecorder/)
Edit: Also, it works for me on xkcd as well, so not sure what is happening on your end. :/
recording your screen when the bug appears would probably be helpful for the devs. you could then open an issue on Github and attach the recording.
if you don't have a screen recording app yet, try ScreenCam.
As far as I know...you’ll need Magisk/Root to record internal audio. Here’s a screen recorder you can try:
Are you rooted? If yes then try screencam. You have to download the magisk module and then you can record internal audio. The problem is that you wont here the audio while you record it
You will need Magisk, if you want to record the internal audio.
Here’s a Screen Recorder with internal audio support: ScreenCam, FOSS
Basically u need to root your device for internal audio recording. Or you can try ScreenCam (FOSS) but also you’ll require Magisk to record the internal audio
Every screen recorder I've used has had issues but the one I've had the least was with this one
https://f-droid.org/app/com.orpheusdroid.screenrecorder
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.orpheusdroid.screenrecorder
Okay then, as far as I've seen, only system apps can record system sounds so the only solutions are:
• Have a default screen recoder app (already on your system when you got the phone)
• Have a rooted phone so you can install this recorder and then the magisk module (needs root)
In both cases you still have to convert the video to sound
Screencam, you must download a module to let the app record intern audio. On YouTube there is an instruction how to install it
there's no way to record internal audio directly on Android anymore, unless you have a Samsung or a OnePlus phone, or you root your device and use ScreenCam with their Magisk module.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.orpheusdroid.screenrecorder
you change video bitrate, resolution and the framerate (up to 60fps). Receives regular updates, floating widgets, let’sbyou quickly control from any screen.
Guys I found a solution for OnePlus, Xaomi and a few Moto phones:- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.orpheusdroid.screenrecorder It works flawlessly and records both internal audio as well as mic. To record exclusively only internal audio you need root access. TL;DR If you have a OnePlus, Xaomi or a Moto phone try this app and it will record internal audio with mic. NO ROOT NEEDED.
Google has restricted internal audio access some time ago, so you'll either have to root your device or use a screen recorder (like ScreenCam) that can use device's mic (which will result in lower sound quality, though). I know Samsung has got some modifications in their version of Android that allows some screen recorders to use internal audio, too.
If you have Samsung, LG?, MIUI (Xiaomi), EMUI? (Huawei), they should have manufacturers' ways to record with internal audio.
If you are on ROM that doesn't have the functionality built in and have Magisk, ScreenCam works.
You could root it and use ScreenCam which has some options to record internal audio on rooted devices (and is a great screen recording tool on non-rooted devices as well).
Is it better than screen cam? I think that's open source as well
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.orpheusdroid.screenrecorder
similar and opensource too.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.orpheusdroid.screenrecorder
Open source so free and no ads. From my experience this recorded smoother video at higher bitrate/fps than AZ.
I use ScreenCam and never had any issues with lags in a tournament (OnePlus 6t).
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.orpheusdroid.screenrecorder
there's a FOSS app quite similar to it, ScreenCam
ScreenCam is an open source alternative
>no other app can access internal audio
you are wrong.

this records internal audio along with mic audio. so, i just plug my headphones in and press the mic to block mic audio.
according to the dev, it doesn't work on all Xiaomi/oppo/moto phones. works flawlessly on my samsung
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.orpheusdroid.screenrecorder
Here you are friend: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.orpheusdroid.screenrecorder
To be more correct, you need Magisk. It's on the play store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.orpheusdroid.screenrecorder
Have you tried ScreenCam? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.orpheusdroid.screenrecorder
I haven't tested myself, but it has a 3rd option as well which uses a magisk module.
or this one, that is free and open source https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.orpheusdroid.screenrecorder
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.orpheusdroid.screenrecorder
Here's another alternative. Free, no ads and open source.
Try using other apps for ex: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.orpheusdroid.screenrecorder And see how it goes
I saw this one on F-Droid, so it's free and open source. I haven't tried it myself though
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.orpheusdroid.screenrecorder
Try ScreenCam.
Screencam FOSS (no internal audio unless it is rooted)
ScreenCam should do the work for you.
reposting my comment from a previous thread
>but it records internal sound AND sound from the mic. So, i plug in my headphones and cover the mic before hitting "Record". works like a charm
>https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.orpheusdroid.screenrecorder
>https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kimcy929.screenrecorder
>both apps work for me. Also, if you have a Samsung, the Game Booster can record audio+screen too. You just have to add the desired app to "Games" in Game Launcher
Sadly not available for S8+. I've used this and then added the widget in the notification tab.
You’ll need Magisk/Root to record internal audio, after that you can use SCREENCAM to record
Yes, you need root. If your phone is rooted, you can use this
Have you tried ScreenCam (FOSS)
ScreenCam Screen Recorder no ads
I use this. No ads, open source. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.orpheusdroid.screenrecorder
This one works for me on my S9+
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.orpheusdroid.screenrecorder
except that it is.
I use this app for screen recording. Super simple, absolutely 0 ads and open source.
This is good too. And open source.
What video editor/screen recorder do you use?
I've been using Screencam for recording but it crashes frequently.
Screencam has a 60fps option but iOS is probably the best for this task.
If you are rooted with Magisk: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.orpheusdroid.screenrecorder
ScreenCam. They recently added a Magisk module making recording internal audio possible.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.orpheusdroid.screenrecorder
Open source recorder which I really like
I use this. Also get's the job done without all the extra features.
This is the one I use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.orpheusdroid.screenrecorder
